Good morning! Our eaglet is all alone! I am so happy we have an eaglet. but it sure isn't the same as having three. I love to watch the interaction of siblings. How does an only eaglet grow up to socialize? LOL
Excited about CO. Have not gone there yet this morning. OK looks wet. We had bad weather between us and the OK nest last night, tornadoes and baseball size hail. I think it was mostly along the TX/OK border.

Do any of you remember EGGBERT? I can't remember where his nest was, but he was an only chick and it was sad watching him grow up and fledge. It seemed to me that he didn't fledge for a long time after he was supposed to. I guess he had no reason to leave the nest. We will have to make frequent trips to our nest and entertain our baby:)
Cherry blossoms are ready to pop in DC...festival starts this weekend, but luckily parade isn't until next weekend...hopefully weather forecast will be better then!

I did finally email her, but it took a half hour to do it, and then I had to reopen everything over here on FireFox, which is all these animal cam things, plus many other items.
I'm hoping the rest of the day goes better now....
I finally got a chance to peek at Wanda's mystery bird, and I think it IS a hawk or falcon type.
I knew the body was shaped more like a hawk's than a Mourning Dove's, and its lower legs appear to have feathers on them, but that 'straight beak' was out of place.
Finally, I was just glancing at the pic again, and I realized that straight item is not the bird's beak. It is the continuation of the twig you see at the top of the bird's head, and the bird's head is turned slightly toward the camera.

Oh, yes, I'm sure those are pin feathers....he/she is almost 2 weeks old!!!
Can you believe how big the BWE chicklets are getting????
Oh, Dana, we had questioned the article/report about them feeding the baby clouded leopards SALT WATER a couple of days ago....Mits got an email from her boss saying that they had questiojed it, too and found out the reporter was in error when she said that!
I was wondering why they were feeding them salt water too....was it sugar water instead?
SUZANNE has a pic of MIRACLE in the nest all alone!!----What a little cutie----Keeps attempting to stretch the little neck!! WHOA!----(she must think she is a giraffe)---ho!
Now they are saying 43' above flood stage in Fargo area, with a crack in a dike....evacuations started...awful...
I think Hidey is using the dud egg to get out of the bowl...at least it's good for something!
OREGON nest has lots of snow---but not as much as I thought it would!!
I’ve been obsessing a little about why in the world the new clouded leopard cubs would have been fed salt water. It seemed very odd, and apparently we were right to think it’s odd. According to Jilian, the Washington Post story was not accurate. The cubs are being fed milk-- A mixture of KMR and 33/40 (two different formulas), to which taurine and lactaid are added. Jilian guesses that the Post was referring to fluids given under the skin to prevent dehydration.
FROM MY BOSS
No, Paula, it was formula. Apparently they did give some IV saline for dehydration.
It's SPRING!!!!!---Preparations are being made for the KITE FESTIVAL in DC!!---Cherry blossoms too!----so beautiful!!----
Hidey is out of the bowl and at high noon in the nest!!
Suz says that he/she is using that egg for a pillow and company! I thinks it's wishful thinking for a sibling!!!!
Thanks, Mits and Hedgie.
HELEN!----Thanks for the update!!
That was the puget sound nest in Washington
Parent is back our nest
That was WA State
Cherry blossoms are ready to pop in DC...festival starts this weekend, but luckily parade isn't until next weekend...hopefully weather forecast will be better then!
ABC---CH 7--They just showed the pics of the NORFOLK EAGLETS & MOM feeding!!---
WE NEED some publicity too!!!!
Must have felt like climbing Everest to get up there...LOL! What a cutie.
Yeah! HEDGIE---I think we will have rain tomorrow!!

Yep, that's the one, Paula.
Hidey is sleeping at Noon! Poor thing is all tuckered out!!
They are certain GROWING FAST JIM!

I finally got a chance to peek at Wanda's mystery bird, and I think it IS a hawk or falcon type.
I knew the body was shaped more like a hawk's than a Mourning Dove's, and its lower legs appear to have feathers on them, but that 'straight beak' was out of place.

I don't know about naming the eaglets, Norma. Every time I think "I am going to name such and such" I get a block!
But I might come up with something "bye the bye". We'll see.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Wow, check our nest. Miracle is really on the move, and now the parent is feeding her while standing on top of the nest's edge.

ATTEN--HUT!!!!
Looks like some fresh snow at Finney over water--ON the water/ice, not so much in nest. Sunset.
need food--
I wonder if this standing aside from the egg bowl today means that Belle has realized the egg is not viable.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Good point, Jim. I would think so.
I can't keep up with as many nest as many of you do, but my second favorite is BWE. Did you see the SIZE of those critters, and their ginormous feet! How fast our little ones grow up. I'm also amazed by Hidey/Miracle's size.
Is that the egg rolled over about 3 in the cup?
Maybe Belle is going to give it the heave-ho...??
Lost live-feed....won't refresh past a blank screen...anyone else?
Hidey is about buried in the fluff again...
Ok, live back up. Looks like our little one is already trying to figure out what the wings are and why they move with him!
Lynn, I have it on, but not sure if it's frozen or not...
Nope, it is working...sloooooowly
REally nice pic at present on the live feed...
BRS is finally on the road again.
Chickie just ate and is now passed out in the bowl...

Not sure what it is...... I just tuned in..
Both adults at OK/
Eating time again!
Looks like some sort of furry animal pelt at 6ish in the nest.
Both our nest and BWE are feeding chicks.
NBG: both parents feeding them, but one is standing in the way of the action.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
NBG need to focus the cam. It is not quite right.
The eaglets at BW have reached the adolescence age and not so cute. They can have a naming contest, always will be Snow White and Frosty to me!
Jeez! Xi Lan is snoozing away in the exact same spot on the corner of the structure that he was hours ago. He's either tired as heck or that spot is comfortable as heck.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Do you think that our eagles know it could rain tomorrow - with all the new fluff ?
Liberty is in the nest too, and I think he's eating some of the grub stored under that straw.
I think the straw is to protect the fish from the sun and from the eyes of other airborn predators, Mema Jo.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Well, I've got to take care of business. Talk to you later.
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Have fun, Lolly.
Thanks Paula! I am sure we will. He is a three year old "character!"
Belle arrived w/ more fluff and covered up the chicklet....Lib went up into the tree
Help!!! Our Hidey is hiding! Oh my!
Whoops! One little head just popped up! "Here I am Mommy!"
VERY WELL hidden!! No one would know that baby is there now!
Back down in the fluff!
It's a game of "Where's the baby?"!
Lib and Belle both taking a break from the nursery. THey've been so good.
