What do you all reckon that is moving at 9 o'clock in our nest??

Mits said...

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Oh yeah, and good morning! :)

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

At first I was thinking the wind was blowing something but don't see anything else but that moving.

paula eagleholic said...

The brownish thing? Might be from the fluff...like a long leaf or something

Mits said...

it is snowing at Al and Betty's owl nest in New Mexico.

deb said...

Have you seen if all three eggs have hatched at the owl nest, Mits?

Mema Jo said...

Good Friday Morning All

Good to see both of our eagle in the nest when I signed on..

Highlight of today is the video Sharon and Beverly sent out to all of us! I love stage performances such as that - They all looked as though they were enjoying themselves! ANDREW was a BIG TIME HIT!

Mits said...

so far I think one is hatched, as with all chat rooms there is an element of superiority and if you ask a question, they give you a curt answer or no answer at all, the ones in the owl chat room at night are just plain rude. That is why I hate chat rooms, never seen one I liked

deb said...

I'll give it a try.

deb said...

Two, they say. Was that you asking at the same time as me?

normabyrd said...

WOW!---SHARON!---You have a fine SON!----Bet you have figured that out---long ago!---thanks for sharing!!!!

Mits said...

I have been hoping to get a better view of the CO eaglet, but no luck yet. It still seems so dark there.

deb said...

Mits, I tried to register, too, didn't get as far as you did.

Mits said...

now I'm trapped..lol, I hate being a #, and they called me a troll last night..because I ask an owl question. The day group seem to be better...think the night group are drinkers.

I noticed all the drink recipes at night. I think once you register you can change the number to a name, but I can't get that far to figure out how.

Mits said...

yeah, and think they were all trying them....oh I see maybe that is how to do it...well unistream is suppose to get back to me in 48 hours, I could kick myself:)

deb said...

I got registered, will have to see if I am a number when I post something.

deb said...

I got another quick glimpse of CO eaglet, it is a wiggly, little one. Still two eggs, one with a big crack in it. I assume it is a pip.

Chicklet all alone

Lolly said...

Good morning! Our eaglet is all alone! I am so happy we have an eaglet. but it sure isn't the same as having three. I love to watch the interaction of siblings. How does an only eaglet grow up to socialize? LOL

Excited about CO. Have not gone there yet this morning. OK looks wet. We had bad weather between us and the OK nest last night, tornadoes and baseball size hail. I think it was mostly along the TX/OK border.

normabyrd said...

MORNIN' HEDGIE!---You certainly will enjoy watching ANDREW!!---He is so talented!!

hedgie said...

Oh, yes, I'm sure those are pin feathers....he/she is almost 2 weeks old!!!
Can you believe how big the BWE chicklets are getting????

hedgie said...

Oh, Dana, we had questioned the article/report about them feeding the baby clouded leopards SALT WATER a couple of days ago....Mits got an email from her boss saying that they had questiojed it, too and found out the reporter was in error when she said that!

paula eagleholic said...

I was wondering why they were feeding them salt water too....was it sugar water instead?

normabyrd said...

SUZANNE has a pic of MIRACLE in the nest all alone!!----What a little cutie----Keeps attempting to stretch the little neck!! WHOA!----(she must think she is a giraffe)---ho!

hedgie said...

Now they are saying 43' above flood stage in Fargo area, with a crack in a dike....evacuations started...awful...

paula eagleholic said...

I think Hidey is using the dud egg to get out of the bowl...at least it's good for something!

normabyrd said...

OREGON nest has lots of snow---but not as much as I thought it would!!

Mits said...

I’ve been obsessing a little about why in the world the new clouded leopard cubs would have been fed salt water. It seemed very odd, and apparently we were right to think it’s odd. According to Jilian, the Washington Post story was not accurate. The cubs are being fed milk-- A mixture of KMR and 33/40 (two different formulas), to which taurine and lactaid are added. Jilian guesses that the Post was referring to fluids given under the skin to prevent dehydration.

FROM MY BOSS

hedgie said...

No, Paula, it was formula. Apparently they did give some IV saline for dehydration.

normabyrd said...

It's SPRING!!!!!---Preparations are being made for the KITE FESTIVAL in DC!!---Cherry blossoms too!----so beautiful!!----

paula eagleholic said...

Hidey is out of the bowl and at high noon in the nest!!

hedgie said...

Suz says that he/she is using that egg for a pillow and company! I thinks it's wishful thinking for a sibling!!!!

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks, Mits and Hedgie.

normabyrd said...

HELEN!----Thanks for the update!!

Costume Lady said...

Do any of you remember EGGBERT? I can't remember where his nest was, but he was an only chick and it was sad watching him grow up and fledge. It seemed to me that he didn't fledge for a long time after he was supposed to. I guess he had no reason to leave the nest. We will have to make frequent trips to our nest and entertain our baby:)

paula eagleholic said...

That was the puget sound nest in Washington

paula eagleholic said...

Parent is back our nest

paula eagleholic said...

That was WA State

hedgie said...

Cherry blossoms are ready to pop in DC...festival starts this weekend, but luckily parade isn't until next weekend...hopefully weather forecast will be better then!

movin said...

DARN!!
I went over to AOL to wish Suzanne a good weekend, but before I could send my wishes, AOL encountered one of those errors where the warning box repeats infinitely when you close it!

So, I shut that down to clean up files and try again; BUT... while I was doing that Windows encountered an error and shut my computer down!!

I did finally email her, but it took a half hour to do it, and then I had to reopen everything over here on FireFox, which is all these animal cam things, plus many other items.

I'm hoping the rest of the day goes better now....

normabyrd said...

They are certain GROWING FAST JIM!
Now are you going to submit a name for them?----contest is open!!

movin said...

I finally got a chance to peek at Wanda's mystery bird, and I think it IS a hawk or falcon type.

I knew the body was shaped more like a hawk's than a Mourning Dove's, and its lower legs appear to have feathers on them, but that 'straight beak' was out of place.

Finally, I was just glancing at the pic again, and I realized that straight item is not the bird's beak. It is the continuation of the twig you see at the top of the bird's head, and the bird's head is turned slightly toward the camera.

movin said...

I don't know about naming the eaglets, Norma. Every time I think "I am going to name such and such" I get a block!

hedgie said...

Is that the egg rolled over about 3 in the cup?

hedgie said...

Maybe Belle is going to give it the heave-ho...??

Lost live-feed....won't refresh past a blank screen...anyone else?

paula eagleholic said...
