Ha Ha of course I invited everyone over. Trying to get my live feed to load this morning. NOT YET. That will keep me from seeing moving things for a while I guess.
While we watch and wait I did post a new Glo's Glimpses for April Camera Club contest. You all honestly did help me narrow down to a good chocie of entries. If you are interested and willing I would love your input again...not all eagles this time though.
OK Norma Will be twice the fun and they will feel twice as welcome Ho :).
I surely hope this will be the day. I find myself wondering if they know this should be happening now. Actually Egg two could hatch any time now too I think.
Well Thank You Dana. As eagle season passes I do need to share soemthing besides eagles with the judges, they have sort of seen lots of them the last few months, Maybe I can go find a butterfly or two. LOL
I appreciate the time anyone takes. It is hard to explain what seeing the photos through someone else's eyes does but it is very helpful in narrowing down at least what speaks to others the best.
MORNIN' NATURENUT!---If you have lost all that sleep----Maybe we should refer to you as 'TOTALLY NUTTY, II'---ho!----Today is 'HATCH DAY'---I can feel it in my bones!!-----
DANA---Did you all watch the WVU--ND game last night!---WVU was 'HOT'----Just couldn't miss!!-----TONIGHT WILL BE DIFFERENT!---WVU plays PITT---WHOA!!--they are #2!!!

DANA!--SORRY you are feeling better!!---take it easy today!! LISA called last night---she has that darn flu----Taking the rest of the week off from school!---She sounded terrible--but did go to Dr yesterday---
Norma Osprey eggs take 35-43 days per Lisa. Although in passed 2008 we have seen 35-even 62 days for an Osprey egg to hatch. HH eggs were laid 1st one on March 7th 2nd one on March 10th.
I was just watching the eagle laying on the eggs at OK. It was playing with a feather laying in front of it. lol Picking it up and putting it down again and again lol
MORNIN' RED & BLUEFIELD SHARON!!---HEY!!-----I spoke to the "SHADOW" & he whispered------'TODAY IS THE DAY'----He said to spread the word!!-----TODAY IS THE DAY!
Sharon you probably got so many you don't remember lol. Usually an email comes that say's "card picked up". Can't remember if that site has that. Anyhow I hope you enjoyed your day.
Back from coffee and dog treats. Will be in an dout lots today though. My live feed is pretty well froze so will just turn it off to give some of you maybe a a little more bandwith.
Birthdays of passed loved ones is in fact a special day. I too find myself having learned to reflect on what was added to my life because they were here, but I will always feel the loss as well.
For those helping me with Glo's Glimpses remember what I am trying to do is score enough points to reac ha particular goal explained last month in cam club sets. I was shocked to have ever had a photo get on the Best of the Best page of our club..especially as a new member. I do credit that to your eyes.
My goal is to try to find 3 photos likely to score at least a 20and with what you saw with the photo club link you have some idea of what the judges are looking for. The eagle at the top of my page got a 19 for a reference point. BUT those really were tough judges.
Good morning! First thing I have to do is check here....and no egg. Paula....I am beginning to think egg #1 won't make it. Just trying to be realistic and prepare myself for just two eaglets.
Have to go have blood work done this morning.....no eating til after that. Lovely! Oh, well, I can drink coffee. Then early this afternoon we are going to Dallas.
Whoa- this cam must be too popular, could not get past gray screen for the longest time.... Hello all:) Just spoke to Jo, she sounded good and said to tell you all she is fine and will say Hello later:)
Day 40 huh.... hoping for a hatch
Back to work for me, transplanting veggie seedlings..farmer beside me is cutting down trees in his field...hoping he doesn't drop the oak closest to my yard, it's a bluebird favorite... Have a nice day, the sun is shining here:)
Just checked the log from last year... The 3 eggs hatched on days 39 - 37 - 35, so things seem to be moving along just fine. There should be fluff balls any time now!
Enyoy your day, Megan....working in the dirt. Still rainy and very cold here. No outside work for me. Oh well, that saves the fingernails. ha! Oh, I wear gloves, still wear down the nails.
We are now up to 3 inches of rain. This is sooooo good. Help the lakes and soaks the whole yard. Yea!
Thanks Jim I remember your post about telling folks they had been staring at the screen too long and give their eyes a break or some such. I surely wish it had too About 80% of folks thought they saw a hatch..but there she sits and here we wait.
I just want to say when I had Facebook (recenly removed). Lolly and some others was wondering why I had up "Happy Happy Happy". It was because I now have someone in our Eaglet_Momster/Dadster group to share my birthday with.
Hedgie-Lynn we both have birthdays on May 9th. "HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY I AM TO SHARE THAT DAY WITH SOMEONE".

Subject: DC Snowy Owl relocated, but then moved off From: "ALLPORT, Gary" AUDUBON.ORG Date: Wed, 11 Mar 2009 12:08:34 -0400
Dear All
We relocated the Snowy Owl this morning based on seeing a bunch of crows mobbing something on a building in sight from the Audubon office at Connecticut and M St, and then the bird got resighted from the office location of yesterday. I managed to get to see it from the roof of the Mayflower Hotel but there was no way they could let visitors up there, but the very helpful folk in the office of a law firm, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, were keen and the views of the bird from their office were excellent.
However, a particularly determined crow managed to drive the bird off its perch and it flew off crossing Rhode Island and last seen flying north west parallel to Connecticut Ave in the direction of Dupont. I lost it amongst the buildings but I had the feeling that it wasn't going far. If anyone was keen to search the area between 17th and 18th in the blocks from Rhode Is northwards then it might be worth looking, especially for the crows mobbing it which are a dead give away.
Bernard Madoff confesses that he is "deeply sorry and ashamed" for operating a $65-billion Ponzi scheme that could send him to prison for the rest of his life.
Does anyone really believe this statement made by Bernie Madoff today? He pleaded guilty in court today to 11 felony counts -
"I am actually grateful for this opportunity to publicly comment about my crimes, for which I am deeply sorry and ashamed," he told U.S. District Judge Denny Chin.
He said that he started the fraud but that he believed it would be short and he could extricate himself.
"As the years went by, I realized my risk, and this day would inevitably come," he said in a steady voice. "I cannot adequately express how sorry I am for my crimes."
Yea, I'll bet he's sorry - sorry he finally got caught!
Well, in speaking only for myself, I am not willing to stop watching this wonderful nest and these parents. I have been here almost since the inception and the only way I will stop watching this nest is if it is removed from the web completely. I might get aggravated trying to refresh the cam, but I am still willing to hit that F5 button and see what is happening with our nest. To me, this whole experience goes much deeper than just watching eagles on a camera. This has become a huge part of my life, the nest and the friends that I have been blessed with through discovering this nest!
Ha HA ha- Deb, that's what I was gonna say, more bandwidth for the rest of us... Stubborn ole farmer just cut down a 40-45 ft. oak for no reason other than he felt like it. Very sad, was always full of bluebirds and flickers. When it hit the ground, all the jays in my yard were screaming...
Yeah, it's his property and he can do what he wants, obviously, but we loved that tree, and it provided food and shelter for so many creatures. and it wasn't really in the way of his farm field...but, this is the same man who was killing all the foxes around here, and selling their beautiful pelts for about $7.00-oh, and the money was a bonus, he was killing them so they wouldn't kill rabbits cause he needed rabbits to train his hunting dogs to kill the rabbits instead...confused?? me too....some people just don't get it.. farmers are supposed to treat the earth with respect.
Yeah, what Sher said!! This has grown to be so much more than just watching eagles and such. I consider ya'll some of the best friends I have in this world. I would pay money to keep watching this cam and hitting F5 a zillion times a day. There are greater tragedies in the world and I am so grateful we get to see them at all. A few years ago, no one would have ever been able to imagine being able to watch a live eagles nest. What a blessing this is.
And all that being said, I get frustrated too until I put it all in perspective.
I love you guys, every single Eaglet Momster and Dadster out there and I am so grateful to Belle and Lib for bringing ya'll in my life!
Sissy and Sharon, I agree with you 100%. Can't say it any better, except to add that it has been one of the most phenomenal things I have ever experienced. To make so many new friends at this stage of life is amazing, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
Hope that ol' Bernie is going straight to jail...do not pass go!!
Megan, feel your pain about the tree....I get physically ill when a live tree is taken down.
Hi all! I am frustrated, could not find my paper work. Called the doctor and was put on hold, phone died, called again, put on hold, they cut me off, called again, put on hold and I COMPLAINED! (Not like me)Then was told it would be a long time before the papers could be ready. I ate breakfast and then they call..papers are ready. Ahhhhh!!! Now, I have to wait til tomorrow.
Pardon my unloading!
Megan, I feel your pain about the tree. New shopping center went in. They cleared the land but skirted around a huge, beautiful pecan tree. HUGE! Then one day it was gone. I could have cried. That beautiful old tree. It was on the edge, near the street, it could have added to the center.
yep fine, Lynn, had zoo yesterday, and took jubby for routine colonoscopy this a.m., he is home today...everything went great, no polyps this time, does not go for another for 5 years now, he is getting a tooth that is infected pulled tomorrow, because of his work and travel schedule, he is cramming everything he can right now while his schedule allows.
Oh, Mits, poor Jay! He's a real trooper. He needs to learn about slowing down, doesn't he?? I get my permanent crown tomorrow...yuck! New experience for me! Well, I got Finney up but now it's dark.....cool translation, Mits...we'll let you be the official interpreter!!!
I saw that at BRS's site, that is pretty cool. I was trying to read something in German the other day, but too many words I didn't know. One of the stork sites, I think.

Today's egg stats - not including day egg was laid
Egg #1 40 days
Egg #2 38 days
Egg #3 34 days
Good morning. I saw the last egg roll, not much showed on still cam. I did get one shot off live feed, but it isn't all that good.
Picture is on Nest Pic's.
Good Morning Paula
Those stats are exactly what I have for each egg laid in our nest.

Have a great day everyone! May the sun shine on you today my eagle friends! And may an egg HATCH in your favorite nest!!!!
Good Morning Deb, Lolly, Megan (thanks for new on Jo---Hi Jo and not so fast bye Jo), Barbara and Jim.
Thanks Jim I remember your post about telling folks they had been staring at the screen too long and give their eyes a break or some such. I surely wish it had too About 80% of folks thought they saw a hatch..but there she sits and here we wait.
Thanks, Barbara, you're right...
Caltrans should have a hatch any day now also...
Yes Paula I have Caltran up watching for a hatch there.
Well, the eagles and we have no choice but to wait and see what hatches; so we might as well remain hopeful and enjoy the wait a bit.
Eagles can hear the young in the egg before hatching though... I wonder if Steve and John could get a microphone on the egg cup next year. (LOL)
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Maybe all three eggs will hatch the same day. Has that ever happened?
They could hear it I'm sure, if they listened, they have the sound on at NCTC
Given the freezing today, not sure anyone could see a hatch today!
Mine only works when I refresh it, and then only for about 10 seconds
Nope, Red.
Although last year, 1st and 2nd egg hatched a day apart
I am getting a little movement, but not a lot.
BRS is moving to pick up next load. Only got a nap last night.
I just want to say when I had Facebook (recenly removed). Lolly and some others was wondering why I had up "Happy Happy Happy". It was because I now have someone in our Eaglet_Momster/Dadster group to share my birthday with.

Good Thursday morning everyone.
LOL, look at Lib...just about all covered in fluff
Getting a little movement here now, but like you said Deb, not much.
I froze and reloaded at exactly the wrong time.

Update on DC Snowy Owl that Mits told us about:
Subject: DC Snowy Owl relocated, but then moved off
From: "ALLPORT, Gary" AUDUBON.ORG

Dear All
We relocated the Snowy Owl this morning based on seeing a bunch of crows
mobbing something on a building in sight from the Audubon office at Connecticut
and M St, and then the bird got resighted from the office location of
yesterday. I managed to get to see it from the roof of the Mayflower Hotel but

However, a particularly determined crow managed to drive the bird off its perch
and it flew off crossing Rhode Island and last seen flying north west parallel
to Connecticut Ave in the direction of Dupont. I lost it amongst the buildings
but I had the feeling that it wasn't going far. If anyone was keen to search
the area between 17th and 18th in the blocks from Rhode Is northwards then it
might be worth looking, especially for the crows mobbing it which are a dead
give away.
I was on the lookout yesterday at the zoo, just in case it wanted some solitude.
I'll bet if the feed in NCTC's lobby was freezing like our's something would get done about it.
it is closed circuit, Red so isn't that different and more reliable?????
Laugh of the day.....

Yea, I'll bet he's sorry - sorry he finally got caught!
Deeply sorry he got caught!
I'm sure some viewers are getting fed up and will be going elsewhere.
Live feed is actually working fairly well, jerky, but at least it is moving.
GMTA, Mits!
Good Deb, let us know if you see a chick!
Could you tell if that was fish or something else Belle was eating?
I'm sure they are Red....
I hope some of them do, Red, that means more bandwidth for us.

why on this earth would he do that, is he related to the guy who tore down the eagle nest up in Martin's airport?
Hard to understand that kind of thinking, isn't it, Megan.
I shouldn't have ever said it was working, doomed myself.
Deb, Glacier Park cams are back online:)
Paula, I was watching for a glimpse of the eggs, didn't pay attention to what she was eating.
Thanks, I'll check them out!

Good Morning Mits....amen to the report other than the snow thing...but it won't last.
Megan "that is a relative of the man that lives beside of Sharon".grrrrr Your guy doesn't respect God's creatures and the land.
Hey, I love this place too, I'm not going anywhere...just not going to fight with the live feed today! Too frustrating!
Oh where is that SMILEY THAT CLAPS IT HANDS it is needed for what Sharon and Sissy said.
And another thing!! Can anyone get the HI cams to come up?
Paula, I know you ain't going no where. We would come and get you!!
Robins are wiping out all the berries off my holly tree/bush.
Isn't this why we are here?

Hope we see one soon!

I agree Lynn, had a diseased white pine years ago that had to be taken down, left the house could not watch it.
Ok, its time to get dressed and get some breakfast. Hope you all have a great day.....BBL
Hi, Anne. We are just watching and waiting.
the otters are all taking a sunbath at NZ, hope Jo is watching.
you are right Paula, Maine nest cam is funky, sounds like alot of screaming going on, don't know if it is eagles or just the audio
Paula, love your avatar. Maybe that will help!
nice to see it staying lighter longer in Finland
ferry going by at Finland
Mits, you have been awfully quiet the last couple of days...are you okay??
HI eagle really working on the nest.
I am rebooting... can't get Finney up, can't get mail...argh!!
yep fine, Lynn, had zoo yesterday, and took jubby for routine colonoscopy this a.m., he is home today...everything went great, no polyps this time, does not go for another for 5 years now, he is getting a tooth that is infected pulled tomorrow, because of his work and travel schedule, he is cramming everything he can right now while his schedule allows.
I have joined you in closing down live feed. There is no movement, not even the 10 sec. when it finally opens.
Wow, I am so envious of Jay. Colonoscopy and getting a tooth pulled all in the same week. That is wonderful! :)
OK nest could have hatchings this week also.
he's crazy:)
Get all the pain and agony done at once!
Either calling out or yawning,, our nest.
Right, that is just too much fun for one week!! Two of my most favorite things in the world, dentist and colonoscopy!!!
Of course, that took too long to type!

he is doing fine, told him to rest but he is taking and making calls and working on puter....:)
Eating my lunch, I'll try the live feed for a little while
She keeps adding to her repertoire! Preaching Interpreting Meteorologist!

Eggs in view
Eewwie partY BWO
Oh, and just an FYI - if you have the live feed on, but minimized...it still uses the same bandwith...just like having it up on the screen
I missed it. My live feed is totally off. I had the same trouble, Paula. I didn't think it was going to open at all.
Off to get my hair cut, too long!
Paula I love your new avatar.
Does having live feed and still cam open draw that much more bandwidth? I have been wondering.
BBL
Can anyone else get Maine 1?
Deb - I don't think so, as one is a picture and the other is a live feed, but maybe Red can answer that one...
I finally got it on, but I don't think there's any movement on it, so will shut 'er down!
