I tried Kent last night and it FROZE my 'puter...had to reboot. A lot of the newer sites freeze me up, so I don't even bother with them. I do want to see Kent...alway loved those 3 cams. Maybe I'll try opening it up on IE.

Mits, Dana......I live just south of Fort Worth. (Where the west begins!) Grand Prarie is about 40 minutes east. We go through Grand Prarie on the way to Dallas. We are approx 4 1/2 hours from Houston. Tomorrow we are heading to Texas hill country, south of us and west and a little south of Austin.

Chick Alert!
We now have two eaglets. The younger eaglet hatched early this morning, so the chicks are only about a day apart.
We'll try to do a blog update tonight and a gallery update over the next couple days.

Yes, we are going to Colorado in June. We always go to Rocky Mt. Natl. Park. Have reservations at the best site for our trailer and a tent for Laurel's family.
We used to tent camp ourselves when the kids were little. We loved it! Now give me a bed!! We will have no hookups, but that is okay. Just give me a bed!
Ok, how about hot toddys when the temp goes below 31°

I am trying to find anything about the Osprey at Horby Island Sidney for laying last season. So far nothing...

I don't see an egg at Hilton Head Osprey, but that is the female there.
Both Osprey were just at HH, but that was very fast in and out.
Kent nest does not look so bad in the daylight.
Yes, it does look bigger now, doesn't it.
HH osprey's first egg was March 16th last year, 3 eggs, none successfully hatched. If the Osprey follows the eagles, dates won't mean too much this year. Gone from HH.
gREat picture at Kent, small nest. It looks good though, I wonder if they will be able to build it enough to use it this year...

Mits are you watching Osprey at Hornby or Hilton Head? Hilton Head Osprey was watched last season but don't see where Hornby Opsrey was online.

Some information found on Hilton Head Osprey--sure HOPE THEY DO BETTER 2009:
Season 2007 and Season 2008 3 eggs laid 2008 - an intruder osprey kept attacking
"Ollie" the male repeatedly.
Was the intruder’s presence the cause of our pair not producing any hatchlings?
It’s possible that in combination with the severe weather mid April and the pair not
incubating their eggs during this timeframe caused the eggs not to develop.
Did the colder weather a few weeks ago harm the eggs while the adults left the nest
totally unguarded? Our ospreys returned, but were not attentive to their eggs while
the weather was unfavorably cool.
Well, it looks as if we struck out again with our osprey’s clutch of eggs hatching
this season 2008. This puts us at 0-2 so far with our osprey cam.

Lynn was in Norma but she had to go to a funeral. Her son-in-law's brother-in-law passed.
I'm alive!!!! The move went fine, I have tons of boxes to unpack. I'm quite sore and have a lovely collection of bruises, scrapes, nicks and chipped nails.
I'll pop in later this week to update the blog about my Zebra finch chicks, who are all doing well!

I don't think there is an egg at Libby, either. Egg cup looks good. March 19 is the target date there, but as we have seen dates aren't quite so predictable this year.

Just found out from naturalist's computer during lunch!Elec troubles here-had to reboot over 6 times! Heck of a way to run a business!
We've seen lots of birds at feeders today that normally would be on the ground, even cardinal on suet---& bluebird pair eating the winterberry. No big birds & thankfully the ospreys did NOT come yet.
