Hello there! Thanks, Steve. Margy, just the two of us again...still!! Just saw something big fly in to the top of a big pine....too dense plus dim and foggy...to tell what it was...maybe it's one of my mystery birds. Belle was just well-tented over our little one, but now up, and said little one quite visible.
Hi Ladies, Dustin is eating his supper, so I sneaked in here and grabbed the controls:) He usually askes for Chili Dogs with chees for his supper, along with a BIG salad for supper when he visits...this time, he asked for a Cornish Hen. Quite a difference. His palate is getting refined:) He will probably want pizza for breakfast. He is growing so tall ( 6'3") but still very thin (143lbs)
Hi, Wanda....glad you got a chance to check in! I love Cormish Hens...haven't fix any in quite a while. had baked chicken breast for my din-din. It hit the spot. I sure am wondering what's going on w/ Sissy and Sharon....sure thought we'd have Mattie's performance on video by now! BBL.
Hi all! Was going to babysit last night, but they decided not to go out so we just had a great evening together. Had a brunch to go to this morning.
My sister called this morning, They are in their RV at a rally. Anyway, my bother in law got VERY sick and he is in the hospital. He has pancreatitis. A gallstone blocked the duct. Anyway, he is stabilized now, and going to do surgery to remove his gall bladder Monday. So I'll be here tomorrow, but heading out to be with her Monday. The are about 2 1/2 hours away. Any and all prayers are appreciated. Dan has had lots of Colon problems, so they have to be very careful with him. Sound like he is getting good care.
Guess you talked me out of it,Wanda! Another Nora Roberts movie on tonight and sure don't want to miss it. Maybe I'll go take my bath after the news, and then settle in to watch the movie. Oh, BTW....GO LADY TERPS! They won their game...barely!
Glad you read the blog to the end! We're late getting the new thread but it is very much appreciated! Lolly Lots of prayers for Monday's surgery for bil. Wanda Gonna go even if I have to crawl!
The Northern Light movie of hers last week was good. Hope this one has as good of a plot. Thanks for the reminder! I am just not a TV junkie so I really like it when you all say what you are going to be watching.
Oh, Lolly, that is a shame about Dan. It's always worse when you're away from home to have something bad happen, too. Pancreatitis can be so nasty...my SIL has had it three times, but always as a complication of his septic shock episodes. Prayers definitely being said. Will you go alone or will Jack be with you?
I enjoyed Northern Lights, too. Looking forward to tonight's feature. I bought GeeGee some Nora Roberts books last year and she said that woman has a dirty mind!;) But she continued to read all of them. Haven't bought her anymor since. She hasn't read anything since she had her stroke. I think she can't concentrate well enough to read. She is getting better.
I took a lot of pictures, but not that many different birds, but I added four new birds to my list, a Willet, a Baird's Sandpiper, a Dunlin and a Fox Sparrow.
Wanda, I was going to remind Gene that he made that statement!!!! Did you get the email that Helen sent out about the BBQ? Did you see the RV in it? SWEET!!! Hey, Deb, hope you had a productive outing!
Might need to take Gene up on that BUT I really am putting full weight on the Leg with the Rod! Amazing what they can do nowadays to repair our broken bodies!
The gallstone blocked the duct and the pancreas "juices" backed up!
Dr. appt. went well. My cholesterol dropped like a rock. Diet works! It was not over 200 but it is now 136. :) X Rayed my knew, which is not hurting, but is swollen. Shows nothing. If swelling does not go down, I will get a steroid shot.
Really do appreciated prayer. Sharon was so upset when she called this morning. I wanted to rush over there now, but she talked me into waiting. Jack will go. :) We are buddies!
Lolly, so sorry to hear of your BIL's problems. I will add him to the prayer list.
A lady that is part of the Yankton bird group had a lung transplant on Wed night. On Thursday she took her first breath not hooked up to oxygen in years. Isn't it amazing what can be done now?? I met her twice, but with her health, she was pretty well confined to home. It sounds like her prognosis is excellent.
Guess what! I am going to eat a meal tonight with my hubby! Real food! It has been two months, I have reached a certain point, plan to loose more, but tonight we are eating well. In moderation, of course! And, I amy going to have some wine!
Will your muscles be ready for all that unloading in the morning or do you just need to drive the 20 footer! Glad your day went well - Moms are great helpers! My oldest is in Philly doing the same thing you are doing - Helping her daughter move!!!
I think that the object in the OKLA nest is part of the nest - hard plastic - saw the adult eagle perched on it when he landed for the switch..... Black duck tape!
think Nora was smoking the wacky weed when she wrote this one, can't imagine how hard this would be to follow in a book, it is confusing me just watching it.
Okay, that movie was just plain stupid!! Wish I hadn't wasted my time. I knew there was a reason I had stopped reading her books....too wierd! Hope your poor bones feel better in the morning, Paula.
It's no wonder GeeGee stopped reading Nora Roberts. Lynn, I always feel as if I have wasted my time when a movie is weird and ends weird...you keep watching, in hopes that it will get better, but it never does:(
Margy, you are watching "Of Mice and Men"--thinks it's from a Steinbeck book. Love Gary Sinise! Goodnight all my good fowl friends. See you in the morning light! Prayers for all in need, and even those who aren't!
Well, I guess everyone has gone to bed. Yes, that was NOT one of Nora's best. Watched the movie, book, of course was a little better, but it was not one her best, for sure!
That was nice...got on and there was Jo's last message. Made me feel good. I know your prayers work. Strong group here.
Paula, you asked about our dinner. Well we had......
Involtini dI vitella
veal scallopini rolled around mozzarella, prosciutto, parsley and parmigiana. Braised in olive oil and cooked in white wine. With it pesto pasta and steamed asparagus. Yummy!!! And, of course, a bottle of red wine,. mmmmmm
Talked with my sister, she has gone to her RV for the night. Will know more tomorrow.
Nite all.....sweet dreams! Thank you for your friendship and prayers. You are the greatest!
I guess you saw that there appears to be a pair of O's at BWO, and they've started to bring materials for their nest.
There have not been repeats of pairs from year to year since I've been watching (4 years now??); but I think I've seen that female before ... can't see the male's face in Lisa's pics.
If it is last year's pair, I sure hope they build that nest better and keep the egg bowl dryer this year.
Belle has arisen and is off the nest ... out of sight. The unfed chick (she doesn't seem to want to feed the chick that older fish under the straw) is turning her head in every direction checking out the world.
AND! She actually stood up and carefully extended her wings into a perfect soaring form and held the position for several seconds.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... No rain or fog here and it is 48° Very damp and dreary. I watched Belle feeding Hidey or just the tail end of a feeding. Misty, moisty Happy Sunday to Everyone! Finally got back on a 'puter after a few days. Just read this thread. Gotta check cams. Lolly, prayers for your BIL. Gallbladders can be yucky, but this one really did a number on him. Be Gone!!...
It's still dark here and in the mid 50's, but it should be beautiful and sunny later. The Weather channel says it will be 68° now, but that could change in a heartbeat.
Good morning everyone. Gpt ;pts of ice and snow here today, but at least I don't have 6 to 8 inches (the original forecast)to get out of my driveway before church. Slow going driving and walking but it is doable.
Hope you all have a Blessed sabbath day. Looks like our little one was having breakfast when I pulled up the live cam breifly to take a look.
Oh yes, Deb, best wishes to your bird club friend. Amazing help it sounds like she's getting!
Gonna check more cams--gotta wait for sun up for some. I saw that BWO has had a pair adding sticks to platform. New platform I can see pretty well at Park has had a new osprey claiming it all week.

I have a full tummy, and just like a fat pig, think I will take a little nap!
Hi, Jo...take good care of that leg, so the doctor will let you go on a field trip:)!
NO NO, Lynn. Too late for a nap. You wont sleep tonight! I wouldn't be able to sleep til 3am if I napped now.

Lolly is the gallstone causing the pancreatitis?
Oh, Lolly, that is a shame about Dan. It's always worse when you're away from home to have something bad happen, too. Thanks Deb! I guess nothing note worthy has happened at any of the cams? OK still at one? Have not been on at all.
CO snow is gone already. I see two little ones, looking for egg.
Darn, parent is going to sit on them, I think.
What is in the OK nest?
I'm not sure, Lolly...
I hear an eagle on the Hancock cam
One adult is on the nest - maybe a time for a switch......
Looks like our eagle is ready for sleep

this Nora Robert's movie is weird.
I like her books, but I am too tired for a movie.
I put some pictures from today up.
Yes, it is weird! I'm falling asleep..not holding my interest.

think Nora was smoking the wacky weed when she wrote this one, can't imagine how hard this would be to follow in a book, it is confusing me just watching it.

It's late, and I just got up to shut things down.
Belle is resting well, but her head is not tucked and she's tenting.
Looked up weather and it says that heavy fog and/or rain are very certain. And I think I can make out heavy fog in the background.
But whether it's super wet fog or rain, she's having to spread the wings.

An adult is back and in the feeding position, but it looks like no food yet.
Miracle is stretching her neck and stretches her wings again.
They kind of hold a feeding position ... almost touching beaks ... for quite awhile, but I don't see any food yet.
It's light but still foggy, so maybe the other adult is having troubles getting a fish this morning.
It looks like the adult found a little food to give to Miracle now. Now looking around for more...
There must be 25 lbs. of fish under that straw, Liberty or Belle.
