HEad up again....where'd everybody go? M-o-m-m-m!

Lolly said...

The fluff is moving and up pops a head!

hedgie said...

SPLIT....

hedgie said...

There you are!!! What took you so long, Mom?

hedgie said...

Lolly, have a nice evening w/ Zach!

hedgie said...

And, Dad, I missed you, too!! Peep, peep.

hedgie said...

Get back in that bed, kid!

magpie said...

both birds our nest

Lolly said...

Thanks, Lynn! I am sure we will. We will also get to visit some with Michael and Ashley before they head out for the evening. I just hate driving to Dallas in Friday traffic!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Good evening everyone. I am still working. Waiting on Thelma to get here and then we will go to Mattie's talent show tonight. Andrew has another performance tonight but I will have to miss this one to see Mattie. Glad they had Andrew's last night too.

You know something that blows my mind. A couple of weeks ago, I started craving ice again and that is always the first symptom I have to the iron deficiency anemia. I so don't understand the human body.

hedgie said...

If Chrissy can talk turkey, I can talk EAGLE!!!

magpie said...

Make that THREE birds our nest, sorry

magpie said...

whoops it is two birds now

magpie said...

have I missed a comment about this:
when did we last see the egg in the nest

magpie said...

Eagle at BWO

hedgie said...

Those unexplained biological cravings for unusual things is called pica, Sharon. Be glad that it's ice and not something weird like dog bones or dirt!!! I asked last night, but guess you were already gone....is the anemia an expected consequence of the bypass?

hedgie said...

What is Mattie doing in the talent show? We expect video again!!!! Tell her I said to "break a leg'!!!

magpie said...

Three now again at our nest

hedgie said...

Margy, I am pretty sure that the egg was at about the 3 position on the edge of the egg cup...think it was mmid-afternoon....wondered then if Belle was getting ready to toss it!

Lolly said...

Bye! We are leaving. Later...gaters!

magpie said...

Good Evening Eagleland

Two parents in the nest and moving a stick. One gone.

magpie said...

baby all alone,
still is ahead of live feed

wvgal_dana said...

Oh boy Mattie tonight--this is like we are there if they tape it too. ( : I know she'll be great.

magpie said...

To all the Southern Delegation:

Best wishes for a great evening and week-end...

and everyone else too ☺

magpie said...

thanks Hedgie...
about the egg...

I guess I just wish the egg and the spirit of the unhatched eaglets could stay as a part of the nest somehow, both of them

magpie said...

Well, I got my camera,
Canon Powershot A2000 IS with
10 mega pixels and a 6X zoom...
Was on sale and also a 10% discount because only the display model was available.

This should be interesting...guess I have my evening reading cut out for me

magpie said...

You can almost NOT SEE the baby on the still image...but he is there !

magpie said...

On the other hand, the BWE eaglets are all over their nest and VERY EASY to see ☺

paula eagleholic said...

Reminds me of the "Where is Spunky" tune.

Where is Hidey, Where is Hidey....

magpie said...

Beautiful view of two eagles at Maine 1

magpie said...

Noisey too !

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Oh, what a good memory that is!

magpie said...

And a poop shoot, and some other bird wailing in the near distance

magpie said...

Holey Smokes! That was some serious HP at Maine....

magpie said...

male left female is on your favorite branch, Paula

magpie said...

Hidey all alone for over 15 mins, alone in the nest anyway, sure the parent/s are close

magpie said...

some kind of waterfowl, maybe that is the other bird sounds

hedgie said...

Our little guy/gal is trying to make that climb out of the cup again!!

magpie said...

Eagle at OK looks bedraggled ...

magpie said...

Wild distortion on the Okla cam, guess from the moisture, is magnifying the image at times

hedgie said...

So glad you got your camera, Margy. Sometimes the written stuff is so vague or too technical....playing with it is how you will learn it...which is what I'm still doing!!!

magpie said...

He looks like a little grey frog !

magpie said...

Thanks Hedgie...figured I would start with this, and maybe someday get something with a big zoom lens...☺

hedgie said...

Mini-wingercizes going on!

magpie said...

Okay that's 30 mins in the nest all by him/herself, bet the parents bring some mighty food back with them - maybe something RED

magpie said...

I better back track to earlier comments before the split before I start repeating things...

Has anyone updated to IE 8?

Something definitely happened with my computer earlier, but I did not choose to update yet..better see if it did it my itself !

magpie said...

You all have got to see that crazy stuff at Okla when parts of the adult become VERY LARGE -
too funny !
She looks extremely wet !

hedgie said...

I think I did, Margy....was looking yesterday when Dana asked about it, but can't find anything that shows a number!

magpie said...

Norfolk looks pretty soaked also - I keep thinking Parent is going to a feed, but not yet

magpie said...

All right now, one parent has returned, I can relax now whew!

deb said...

i am home and trying to get caught up on blog and e-mails. I am hoping for a look at the CO nest to see if we have two eaglets.

Mits said...

my computer has not told me to update to IE8 yet, so not doing it just yet

deb said...

both eagles in CO, maybe a switch.

deb said...

Oh look, number two is almost out of its shell. Wiggling all around to get the last bit loose.

deb said...

both eagles, our nest.

deb said...

It kind of looks like it broke free from the shell!

deb said...

Maybe not all the way loose. Darn, parent is going to sit on them, I think.

Mits said...

03/27/09:
The Eaglet-Naming Contest is open.

Cam watchers have asked why the younger chick has a darker head. Its white down has been pecked away by the older bird.

hedgie said...

CO has what looks like some kind of mammal...can't make it out--definitely see hind legs and tail; can't see chicks, either.

magpie said...

Thanks, Deb.... getting ready to open the box and pore over a few things...got an extra memory card..and have to clean up the PC tower before I stick anything in there to try to download pictures.
So I got that manual out too...
Oh brother, I am not good at these technical things...

Great views our nest right now
I caught up on comments and see where Paula was talking about the egg..don't see it now, does anyone ?

magpie said...

I couldn't get the Fargo cam site to open up :(

Mits - looks like I am still on IE 7 - and won't be updating it anytime soon if I can avoid it. but some of my color things and have changed and I can't figure that out and still have NO Grandson on my desktop display :(

magpie said...

Eagle at BWO with a fish

deb said...

When it came in yesterday it had a big fluffy tail, but those legs don't look like a squirrel, do they? I guess I haven't ever seen a squirrels legs that close and stretched out.

Mits said...

raining at Norfolk

magpie said...

Hedgie...
I will do as you say: just experiment and play, once I get the basic things reviewed..

hedgie said...

What is up with Ceil? I don't find a post about her neighbor, nor an email...????

deb said...

I have video loading, but it seems to take forever this time of day. Off to feed dogs and myself.

Mits said...

nice name, she is a cutie.

magpie said...

BWO Eagle took off with the fish:

Look out BWE !

Mits said...

me neither, Margy, til they drag me kicking and screaming, I don't want to change....think that is why I don't want new computer, don't want Vista

magpie said...

Ha! Second adult at BWE WITH the fish !

magpie said...

Hedgie, Ceil posted a message earlier, will find the time, and also has another neighbor in need....

So she is busy, Florence Nightingaling it...Bless Her -

magpie said...

Yes, Mits, no Vista for me either, think I would go for a Mac instead when it is time to change....

Mits said...

Hi everyone. I have not been on lately lots going on in our neighborhood. Please pray for my friend Betty She is very ill with kidney failure. We are waiting to hear if they will be able to do dialysis. Thank you. Keeping up on the little one. We were just taking Sister Bobbie to the airport and I saw the eagle nest. Eagle is in it. Love you all.

Mits said...

jubby's IT guy at office has a MAC at home, Deb you have one don't you? Do you like it? Heard it is user friendly.

Mits said...

speaking of hubby, he is home early, I brought dinner in tonight, tomato Basil soup and salmon Caesar salad...nice fish place near where I get my haircut

magpie said...

I'm stepping aside for a little while, and giving up my bandwidth.

TTFN -
xo Good Friday Evening wishes to all ☺ ♥

Hedgie and others: Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday nights, ISS and Shuttle Discovery passing through in the evenings.
And by the way, Venus has pretty much slunk low on the Western Horizon now, difficult to see it. How did it disappear so fast? WAH
But, it comes back out in the early morning soon! xo

magpie said...

Speaking of fish, Mits, that's what the Baby BWE Eaglets have on the menu tonight also !

magpie said...

Two Osprey in the nest in Kentucky, Puleston is empty

magpie said...

One at Kentucky now....that was quick

Mits said...

they sure do.....sushi...

deb said...

Yes, I have a Mac. It took a lot of getting used to, not that it is hard to use, but so different from a PC. There are things that you can't do on a Mac, some programs are only made for PC's. Nothing that I really need though, except last year I couldn't watch the IWS nests except for PH.

hedgie said...

Hopefully they can get Ceils' friend on a transplant list, and dialysis in the meantime. Prayers going up.
Where's the nest you saw on the way to the airport?
I love tomato and basil soup! Progresso's is very good. Hmmm...think that's what I'll have for dinner! Thanks, Mits.

deb said...

The video of the CO hatching was almost loaded and Safari froze up, had to start all over. :(

paula eagleholic said...

I see a little head peeking out from the fluff!

Last I saw, the egg was still in the egg cup!

Mits said...

I'm not sure where she sees the nest, Lynn, maybe BW parkway.

wvgal_dana said...

One of the parents at BWE put grass on one of the eaglets lol

Mits said...

Bill putting out food for the nightime visitors at Saline

deb said...

CO eaglet hatching video is up. It is kind of long for one of my videos, 2:09. It shows the eaglet breaking out of the first half of the egg.

hedgie said...

Raining here.

deb said...

Belle is tenting.

deb said...

I put some pictures on Deb's Photos from today.

paula eagleholic said...

Mits said...

Deb you have great videos of CO, and your pics from today are wonderful

Mits said...

good night everyone..

magpie said...

Good Night, Mits, from the Lone Swordfish ! ☺ xo ♥

magpie said...

Wow, Deb, both of the videos, and your new pictures are wonderful!

(have to go play plumber at neighbor lady's - back in a few....I hope...)

deb said...

Thanks, Mits. I saw a lot of birds, but not a big variety today.

deb said...

Thanks, Margy. I typed my first message and forgot to post it, so I missed yours.

magpie said...

Deb:
Will you be sending your video to the Maine Forum? I see they have a few pictures but your video would rock some socks !

magpie said...

Friend in New York saw White Pelicans this week, he says they are mostly a Western bird but spend winters in Florida and along the Gulf Coast....

deb said...

I figured out how to post pictures over there, but not videos. I'll have to see if I can find some directions.

paula eagleholic said...

Deb - you'll have to post it to youtube or photobucket....

paula eagleholic said...

Then you can just post the link once it's uploaded.

paula eagleholic said...

Or, you could post a link to your blog.

deb said...

The pelicans haven't come back here yet. NE birders are starting to see them, so it shouldn't be too much longer. Grebes are back though, they are fun to watch.

deb said...

Thanks, Paula, that sounds easy enough. It is on Youtube already. They get them to post right to the forum somehow.

magpie said...

Wonder if the second chick will make it out of the egg tonight at Colorado, or if it already has

Sure is going to be a wet week-end hereabouts

Whew ! Lots of reading and preparation for this new camera, it's going to take awhile....

Hope I won't be hollering Help too often.

Guess I better say Good Night -

Hope everyone gets a good night's rest so you can be ready and rarin' to go Saturday.

Peace, Love and Prayers xo ♥

paula eagleholic said...

Deb - sending you an email

hedgie said...

Deb, pics are great! Have not been able to view today's video yet....have tried 3 times, and it just keeps loading....maybe too many folks watching! I'll try tomorrow.

Costume Lady said...

Lynn, my spam section is full of spam and so is my in-box. Just started about a month or so ago. I think BIG BROTHER is trying to drive me crazy!

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Eagleland

Deb (enjoy your birding today). Norma (on a special outing), Paula (helping to move), Margy,
Wanda (with grandson over), and Lynn.

Wanda you can go into your mail then spam and set your spam to delete more often
which means you won't be getting the same spam mail. It stops those and deletes and stops new ones sooner.

paula eagleholic said...

Morning, all.

I want one of those ATM cards :)

Good Idea putting their email on here...now they will get spammed!

paula eagleholic said...

Have to get a shower and go get the moving truck, we are loading it up w/ boxes today...can't move in until tomorrow...then we will really have to hustle!

Just did a quick check of some cams, Puleston and Kentucky and Loch Lowes in Scotland all had one bird...
Loch Garten had one earlier but not now.
Also, Camclickers has some active nests, Eastern Phoebe, Two Eastern bluebirds, one in Ky and one in Tx, (both with eggs) also Northern Flicker. Barred Owl cam is down temporarily but should be back up again soon, and Barn Owl cam seems to be down.

It's a good site but requires a little patience while things are opening up. Daily Highlights gives some good pictures of what is going on.
