Hi Margy! We had a great time. Our boys made new friends, they always do, and then played so hard. They even had a vine to swing on over a gully. So much good, healthy fun! They went home to mom with dirty clothes, bruises from playing, and great stories to tell.

Adult came back to BW nest awhile ago. Boy those chicks look large. NBG can make you seasick today. OK was just feeding chick--2 eggs. Little Luney was hanging around the edge poles of the hammock. Our baby out in the sun w/adult. Maybe a feeding.

I have returned from Dr appointment & all staples removed and butterfly taped. Ok to get a little wet and eventually the strips will fall off by themselves. I go back in 2 weeks when another x ray will be taken. The incisions healed very well. I got a surgical shoe and walking is much easier now because of the support I guess.
I am going in and put my foot up until dinner and I'll try to come back. I read that all the nests have activity in them! Thanks for such good coverage!

Just saw some baby beak wrestling at Norfolk! Then Mom sat on them. Wind is almost blowing Ms OK off nest. We're getting low of 27 tonight--not spring yet.
The eagles had a very good day of fishing. Two fish are visible in the nest. Biologist Reese Lukei reports as many as seven fish were brought to the nest as of Monday afternoon.

Updates Spring Update #1 - March 23, 2009 As of today, we have one eaglet, and one remaining egg. It seems unlikely that this last egg will hatch out, the longer it takes the more improbable a hatch becomes. There are many reasons that eggs can not be viable, including cold temperatures and moisture. We'll probably never know what happened this year, but we can celebrate our one new eaglet.
I just tried, I can get them all. Two burrowing owls out, oops, osprey cam just went down as I was going to tell you what it looked like. Two heron in the nest tree, one off to the left.

Spring Update #1 - March 23, 2009
As of today, we have one eaglet, and one remaining egg. It seems unlikely that this last egg will hatch out, the longer it takes the more improbable a hatch becomes. There are many reasons that eggs can not be viable, including cold temperatures and moisture. We'll probably never know what happened this year, but we can celebrate our one new eaglet.
I put pics of the large fish brought in earlier by Lib on the EM blog....

I just tried, I can get them all. Two burrowing owls out, oops, osprey cam just went down as I was going to tell you what it looked like. Two heron in the nest tree, one off to the left.

Hi all! Wathcing Dancing With the Stars. Busy day today, unloaded and cleaned the trailer and took it back to its home. I was slow moving this morning....recovering!
