Only two bobbleheads so far. As I stated in the other thread, I thought I saw the egg moving on its own earlier when there was a feeding going on, but I didn't see any cracks in the egg.

Good Morning to everyone who has come on. Quiet morning so far today. I missed the fly-in, going to rewind and watch.
Now I know what they mean when they tell you to be careful when going back. Not quite sure what I did wrong, but had to start a new feed.

Sunny - I was thinking of you & hubby as the email from Bob at the Potomac RIver Paddlers came through! I think they are out there paddling now! The
interesting item to me is that he knows of 3 other eagle nests in the area.
I'm not sure what will be done with the very large fish in the nest - Me too Geula - Phew! Big doesn't always mean better!!

Daughter is on her way here - shopping for an hour or two - lunch maybe at Paneras - Glad it isn't raining. Glad for me & for our nest.
Mama Cali - I saw her off the nest last evening while it was still daylight & I watched her 3 Hooties lying there in a clump of white fluff. I also saw the CO Mama Valmont's 1 chick and 1 egg to go. One of our bloggers alerted me to the fact that one of her eggs had hatched - (Senior Momment) I think it was rockingcr!
And what do you think about the news from Kent and our Lady Star!lol

Well Jo about Kent...Seems we are finding out...of course more and more eagles are populating areas. So if a female or male isn't living up to responibilities or gone. That leaves the other to get her/his mate. We learn new things every year don't we. So it seems do biologist.
Switch at BC (Bartons Cove) 2 brown eggs 1 white...have we seen those difference in colors in one nest before?

Skinny, the squirrel, has been in and out of the NBG nest this morning.
Did anyone see that big stick fall about 10 or so. Just before the fly in and departure, no switch. Belle(?) ducked when it fell. Of course I don't know how to film. But I did watch the rewind to be sure I wasn't "seeing things".

Did y'all see that?? Parent on the eggs just flew away for about 30 seconds and then took an almost did a nose dive back on to the chicks??

Hi Jennifer, welcome back as Kirine. Are your ready for this 4th season?????????? I bet if Sharon had pole climbers she would be up that tree and yank that stinkly old fish out. Mits,Norma,Jo, Sharon have you checked out the Atlanta Zoo ater th tornado last night?

I'm really glad that this year is going much better than last did for Belle and Liberty. I can remember seeing Belle on the nest surrounded by snow and struggling to keep her own head above it.

Second time....good morning again. I am popping in and out. Woke up with a muscle spasm high in my shoulder couple days ago. Too much eagle watching or too much yard work???? No better...so I am not spending a lot of time here. Mostly in my comfy chair on ice.

They are only calling for 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain here, if it makes it that far north. Winds are supposed to pick up and be gusty, though.

yes watched the end of the American U game last night....my nephew and B-I-L graduated from there and it is located about 3 miles from where I live......congrats to the EAGLES!!!!! that is there mascot!!!

OMG WV lost last night! Oh boy, our PE teacher in school will be down in the dumps Monday am. She had a gathering at her house Friday after school to watch WV and also the DUKE game. Of course Duke won, but I was hoping for WV too.
OK MITS. Congratulations again. I thought that they won and were going to the NCAA Tournament on a previous blog, but I must have heard a sportscaster talking about ones that are in the tournament already. We play Virginia Tech tomorrow at lpm.

Paula, do you have a recipe for carp. Here in se KY, you bake in in foil over an open fire outside, for about 6 hours on low fire, take it out of the foil, throw it away and eat the foil. Just kidding!!!!! donna

SORRY FOR THE DELAY---TRYING TO WATCH BOTH FEEDINGS--WHAT A CHALLENGE--WOW!! BOTH SO EXCITING!!
I don't know what I am doing wrong! I recorded that whole 20 min. segment of the feeding and when I play it back it plays for a few secs then stops! ARGH! Same thing happened yesterday with an 11 min. segment and an even shorter 16 sec. segment. The timer keeps going and the clip that slides across the bottom is moving but the video itself just stops. I don't know what to do to fix it! Any ideas?? *help*

Wow Paula at this time last season Sidney had 2 eggs March 13 and March 15th. Look at all that grass in center of nest. What do you suppose is going on there? Have you heard anyting?

Dana, I heard Sidney/Hancock eagles built a new nest and there is no camera there. Too sad... they were fun to watch - especially after it got late here on the east coast.

Biggest one is a real "pecker head"
I am rewatching it , looking for egg #3.
You can see what a good Mom Belle is, she is making sure they both get plenty. The oldest keeps pecking the littlest, but Belle just holds the food there for him to grab when he's ready.
Lisa says pecking is normal part of eaglet behavior. I am glad I read that before seeing it. I would have thought the older chick was mean!
I couldn't see it just now, but you can see her roll it at the end. I did see it earlier and posted so.
