It's been a raw day today with a brisk wind. Warm temps expected tomorrow. We got a chance to view two feedings today, and it's good to see the littlest eaglet being taken care of by these diligent parents.
I have been lurking most of the afternoon. Plumber is here fixing some things in the bathroom. I am headed out for an appointment Rain hasn't hit the valley yet.
I am new to the blog.. this is my second year of "eagle watching" thanks to my daughter Shannon who works at the facility. I have two questions, #1.. did all three eggs hatch? I cannot tell how many babies there are... #2.. is there an url or live feed for the camera? Right now all I have is the stop motion feed that refreshes every 30 seconds. Thanks!
So sweet, she/he made sure the littlest one got some food too...Fed the biggest one a big piece so it had to work on it a sec. in the meantime she got some to the little one!!! Love this parent!
The fish has been in the nest for awhile, Lib moved it to where it is now. That is the carp. I am rewatching it to see if I can tell what Lib was doing before he left. It did look like he was watching something,
She was feeding at the back and he got on the chicks...so she came around and grabbed a fish and took it to the back right...ate some....chatted, did the poop shoot, then Lib just got off the chicks and she is back on now....and took off the back of the nest!
It is nice that we can go back and watch if we miss something. I was on the phone, but rewound and saw exactly what Paula described. This live feed is great!
HELEN---Bet you all win!!---Saw your team on TV yesterday!---Read the COPPIN TEAM has lost 20 games this year!!!!----DID you notice the COPPIN TEAM are the EAGLES!!---(bad omen)----
I keep thinking they fixed the sound on the live cam, and then I realize that it is the birds outside. I always forget from year to year how loud they can be.
Glo - That was awesome! I have been auditing for two days and haven't been able to even lurk. This is also my FIRST poop shoot! Great! I am in a hotel for 2 weeks (Mayflower - Room 875 - anyone heard of Room 871!!) Security is crazy - paparazzi - someone stole the number off the room. What is wrong with people? Anyway....I can't even get the live cam - Their internet is too weak! So this was a wonderful way to catch up on "the family." Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
stephanieCool then I am glad that I took time to make all three. argh I owuldn't wan tto be in a motel for 2 weeks especially if the internet was lousy.
Yes - the story is that Spitzer was in Room 770 and his "girlfriend" was in 871. He sneaked up to her room after checking in. One of the staff told me that the CEO of Oracle was here at the same time with his "entourage" and they really weren't even paying attention to the Governor ;-)
Mits, you are right - it is a beautiful hotel. I come here once a month and I have a wonderful client who pays for me to stay here. Usually a day or so at a time only once a year for 2 weeks! I could never afford it!
They used to have the Junior League Christmas show there and my friend and I would go early just so we could walk around and have breakfast there, haven't been there in years.
Welcome to troubleinwv! There are now 3 eaglets hatched. And you can find the link on the main page, at the bottom left it says "Live Video". Just click on it and the it will take you to the page to link on the video. You will need Real Player to play it.
Good evening to all of the rest of you :-) Don't get to watch much these days as its spring break for 2 WEEKS (who ever heard of 2 weeks of spring break! It's dumb!!) I am at a different school for childcare. Can't use the computer :-( Have not seen all the babies except for on your video links you have captured. Thanks so much for doing that!! I am missing sooo much!
Well if you get a chance - I will be here until the 28th. Come on down I would love to meet another eagle lover and hear your stories, eagle and otherwise!
Stephanie (usually in Parkersburg, WV currently in DC)
GLO!!---They are truly a JOY to watch!!----Little ones' are so COOL---So active--going to be a fun spring for BELLE & LIBERTY!!!!---I AM HOOKED!!---Thanks for sharing----
HEY STEPHANIE!!!----History was made on that floor!!-----Would love to visit---ho!---Something you can tell your grand kids about!!!----These little ones will steal your heart!!!!
Hi Sharon - Just moved back from the DC area after many years. Have not been to Cedar Lakes but I have heard it is beautiful. Do you go to the big craft show they have? I hope to go this year.
Thanks, Paula, glad to "see" you, too :-) Come home and am so wiped from being in the sun for almost 4 hrs so haven't posted at night, either. Yeah, no shade at this school *insert grumbly face here* LOL!
Paula, you are right about Belle...looks like an angel on the nest :-) After watching your's and Glo's videos I have noticed that not only is Belle much larger than Lib but she is also a darker color.
ESPN sure did a hack job on calling that game...talked over the whole darned thing...they did a much better job for the NEC tournament last week on ESPN2
And now I hear them doing the same thing overtop the MD game...
SHARON---Just read that the BBC is bringing in a film crew to the BRAMWELL area to shoot a 4 part series for the BBC!---Working title is "THE AMERICAN FUTURE: A HISTORY"---will be for a part on APPALACHIA!!---Will be shown on History Channel too---around Nov.------maybe you can audition!!---ho!
Paula, my husband said the same thing, said they didn't call the game at all, Brent Mushberger just told stories, and the other guy called Jim Phelan, Jimmy. In all the years I have watched Mount games have never heard him referred to as Jimmy
CONGRATS!!! PAULA & HELEN!!----I think you all play NORTH CAROLINA now!!----That's COOL for the kids on your team----Getting to play NC!!---Bet they will be excited!!!
Norma, the bike belongs to a friend of mine. If you look closely you will see a gnome sitting on the seat. The picture was taken as a joke for another friend. If you check this link you will read the story of Norman. http://journal-news.net/page/content.detail/id/504740.html?nav=5068
Good morning, world. Nice out here, but had rain and fog on the way down. 43° in PA, but 51° here already. Streets are also dry, so they've had no rain here. I can take the rain anyday over snow, so that's a good thing! Our eagle is awake, looks like Belle. And both BW chicks are half out from under parent, but all of them are sleeping. Belle is looking at the cam, wide awake. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Oh, my first look at the CO baby owlets. Mom is off the nest, and looks like one white one and something else very dark behind that one. Lots and lots of feathers in the corner. She had 2 eggs, did one hatch light and the other dark? Have to watch for a sec.
Falcon on the ledge in PA, but hard to see, still dark out. Can see the CO owlets. Maine is MT, too dark for Tesoro, and I swear, I cannot see an eagle anywhere in or on the nest or branches in NBG. Can see some parts of the little owlets in the hotel, and the heron and LW eagle cams are still down. Darn! Both BW chicks are half out from under sleeping parent, and Belle is awake occassionally. Mostly the only thing moving there is Spidey's web, which I can do without. But it does move in the breeze. Won't be on much after 6 or so, will be on other computer. May be lurking and glancing at my eagle cams, but that's about it. Blog off and on later when I can. All have a great eagle/panda day.
Morning, Sharon and Megan. Just checking in for a sec. Owlets are visible in CO, and BW is feeding chicks. There is an eagle on the egg in NBG, and not sure about our nest. Parent is on Lib's perch looking at the chicks, but it's too dark to see them. They're being fed, but still too dark. Sorry the live feed is down again, and the 30 sec cam is up to almost 32 min refresh, so not a big help there.

Looks like a few drops are falling at the nest
Looks like a few drops are falling at the nest
Yep, here comes the rain....
Lib brought some sort of food, it is in the nest at about 3 in the bowl
It is the white thing - So I would guess a fish.
Did the rain chase you inside, Megan?
Well, sorta, I was in the GH mostly though, only out in the garden a little, chilly day once the sun disapeared.
And tenting
Gonna be a lot of tenting tonite, still a lot of rain on the way.
I have been lurking most of the afternoon. Plumber is here fixing some things in the bathroom.

Hello Everyone, I've been lurking and working on taxes...
Wow at this feeding did you see that #3 is way up in front!!! Think that little one is going to be A-OK!!!
c'mon little guy get up there
So sweet, she/he made sure the littlest one got some food too...Fed the biggest one a big piece so it had to work on it a sec. in the meantime she got some to the little one!!! Love this parent!
now tenting
Looks like she was pulling food right off the bone...
finger lickin good, or in her case beak lickin good
Real quick hello to eve4rybody.
I was at work during the pandascades. I had to bite my lip. Glad those 2 are separated.
Finally got to see all 3 babies eat...Love it, Love it.
Looks liike the rain is moving in.
Have a great evening...back to lurking and cooking dinner
Fly in, our nest.

my clock was moving but my pic was not, kept looking for the 2nd eagle:)
Oh yuck- snacking on that old carp.
There is an eagle at Libby Dam.
Whoa! Looks like the pantry is well stocked! I peek in every once in a while. That fish was not there last time.
OMG, Is that another huge piece of fish that Liberty delivered??!!
C(°?°)3
Jim
That fish looks huge! Would have loved to see it delivered to the nest.
LIB SEEMED LIKE HE WAS WATCHING SOMETHING WHEN HE LEFT THE NEST---HOPE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY UNWATNED VISITORS. HAS SEEMED PRETTY CALM TODAY
AM REALLY GLAD THE PANDAS TOOK BREAK----BET THEY WILL SLEEP TILL MORNING :)
The fish has been in the nest for awhile, Lib moved it to where it is now. That is the carp. I am rewatching it to see if I can tell what Lib was doing before he left. It did look like he was watching something,
Eagle at Kent 2.
Up to Kent 1.
Got to go out for a while. Be back around 9. Keep good notes!
Back with a stick to Kent 2. Missed the shot. Darn!
She is really tenting to keep them babies warm...good parent ( :
Later Sharon see you then..
Up to Kent 1. The dogs insist I feed them, BBL.
Is Lib beheading the fish before bringing them in or is some fisherman losing fish when he turns his back.
That fish is indeed the carp that's been in the nest for days. Lib moved it there to munch on it earlier when he came into the nest.
Both- our nest!
Munching on that fish again. Big wing shake from eagle on chicks, twice. Getting up off nest cup, feeding time.
All 3 chicks are moving around and reaching for food. And yes, everybody's getting fed:)
yum, leftover carp:)
Jill - the Osprey behead them before they bring them in...I think Lib beheaded that one when he was munching on it the other day...
family feast time!
And 5 days old at that...extra yummy!
what an amazing scene
Sure is Mits - what a wonder to be able to watch it live.
She wants back on those chicks!
Looke like some chit chat now
Wow a pop shoot
More chit chat - she wants back on.
She was feeding at the back and he got on the chicks...so she came around and grabbed a fish and took it to the back right...ate some....chatted, did the poop shoot, then Lib just got off the chicks and she is back on now....and took off the back of the nest!
That was pretty cool!
yes it was:).
wow, Belle is doing a great job of protecting the chicks from the nasty weather! so glad to see they are all getting fed. all those yummy fish.
That was really neat to watch!
HEY!---Did you all see BELLE push LIBERTY out of the way when she wanted back on the nest!!---They are such a loving family!!!--LOVE 'EM!!
I guess because she's bigger, and she can cover them from the rain better. Besides, Mom knows best...
HELLO JANETM---GREAT to see you!!
Aren't they just UNBELIEVABLE!!!
It is nice that we can go back and watch if we miss something. I was on the phone, but rewound and saw exactly what Paula described. This live feed is great!

Stephanie, is that where Spitzer got busted????? It is a Grand Hotel isn't it, one of the nicest in DC
Yes - the story is that Spitzer was in Room 770 and his "girlfriend" was in 871. He sneaked up to her room after checking in. One of the staff told me that the CEO of Oracle was here at the same time with his "entourage" and they really weren't even paying attention to the Governor ;-)
I don't understand how these guys think they won't get caught, it is beyond my comprehension.
Mits, you are right - it is a beautiful hotel. I come here once a month and I have a wonderful client who pays for me to stay here. Usually a day or so at a time only once a year for 2 weeks! I could never afford it!

Congrats, Helen and Paula, on the game tonight!
Thanks, Deb!
Glad I wasn't the only one that felt that way, Mits.
See Ya'll tomorrow!
Hi, is anybody still watching at this time of night??
C(°?°)3
Jim
Belle is sleeping with her head tucked pointing roughly toward the 12:00 position.
Spidey's webs are visible and a-blowin in the wind.
Norfolk looks more normal tonight. I think it's Momma is setting down properly on the egg and sleeping tonight.
BWE shut down for the night, but she is also sleeping comfortably in the shot on the screen.
I don't think the new cams are functional at Pete's yet.

GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE/GOOD MORNING TO THE EARLY BIRDERS AND SUZANNE.
