Sharon, I agree with you, if I'm sitting here holding my breath to see if the little one is fed...I know Glo is doing the same thing...as are all of us!!! Like Chrissy, I was saying, feed the little one doggone it!!!
Hello to you all, busy with taxes, but keep the cam and live one up to watch...just can't get on here much.
3/24/2008 :: First Egg is Laid! Just after 7 AM on Saturday, March 22nd, the first egg of the 2008 season was delivered before hundreds of onlookers via live stream Web video. Typically, the female lays an egg at one to two day intervals. To learn more about what can be expected in the days ahead, viewers can refer to falcon postings dating back to late 2001.
Good evening everyone! Welcome to Angie & students from Chicago, my Dad's hometown. Read about the poor groundhog served as late lunch. Just saw 2 bobbles peeking out from under Mom's belly. She looked down at them as if to say, "now get back under there!"
First two like usual right in the front. Little one behind them trying to poke head inbetween them. Come on little one get up there. Nope just can't seem to wiggle inbetween those two yet.
Thanks, Mits, now I want the falcon to come back so I can see it live. The other times I looked, I just had the refresh camera. I am glad you mentioned the noise.
I had to look up what kind of falcons we have here in South Dakota, not many! Mostly the American Kestral, plus some migrating ones. The peregrine is being reintroduced.
Is anybody watching? Just got the poop shoot scared out of me. Belle arrived with a big stick and it looked like she almost flew right into the camera!
dana, I am counting bites too, for the litt lun. I thought I was being silly, but since you do it too, I may confess without shame. I find myself almost speeding to get home and turn on the live feed. Isn't it thrilling> donna
Everyone it's time for me to get my legs up. So I'll hopefully see you all wonderful eagle friends sometime tomorrow. Take Care God Bless Save Our Eagles And Natures Rest...
Going to close down for the day - Our eagle is sleeping with head tucked under - very busy day & more to come for Liberty & Belle with these 3 hungry eaglets. From what I am seeing on other forums from all over - ALL EYES ARE ON OUR NEST !! Everyone is rooting for "Teeny Weeny"! KEEP THE FAITH!!
Hey ladies. Spent the day in Baltimore, took the boys to skate at the indoor park. Did I miss anything? I am too tired to read the previous thread. Best I can tell from this one is everything is well. Oh I sent the rest of the article from BW. It appears to be the same article but if you keep reading it is different. Mentions George and Martha at the end.
I kinda lost most of a day on the cams. Recovering from the Easter trek and big get-together + trying to catch up on stuff around here.
Looks like the only really new thing I missed was the breeding of the Osprey pair at BWO. As Lisa says that could well signal that this "our pair" for 2008.
Good morning, world. Busy day alredy! Nice night out, but cold. 24° at my house, 37° here. No wind, so that's a help! See Belle sleeping through Spidey's web, which is getting bigger daily. Lady BW is asleep on her chicks. Hope they got fed yesterday! But they are both sleeping half way out from under her. Gonna open some cams. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Oh good grief, meant to say busy day already. Guess I can't spell at that hour of the day! Both Belle and Lady BW have been awake, then back to sleep. Belle has changed positions, but with the refresh, she's up and back down by the time I see it. Have not seen the chicks this morning. BW's chicks are laying half out from under her. NBG has an eagle in the nest on their egg! All WildWatch cams are down except Kent, and of course it's still dark there. Heck, it's still dark here! Lady BW is talking to her chicks.
NBG eagle got up and stretched her wings, and her mate just flew by. BW chicks are getting fed! I'm so glad to see that! AT least the biggest one is, other one is in shadow. Oh no, here he is! Both are getting fed.
Morning, Dave. BW only has 2 chicks, not 3. And yes, they both appear to be alright this morning. They were both just fed and now they're sleeping. Our 3 chicks are getting fed now.
Dave, thought you knew all 3 of our eggs hatched. Sorry if you didn't. I thought the whole world knew! First egg hatched 13 Mar, 2nd egg hatched about 37 hours later on 14 Mar, and our last little baby is a St Patrick's Day chick! Hatched shortly before 7 AM on the 17th.

I see what you mean by noisy, I just turned it down.

Little one made its way up front and is getting food oh boy oh boy ( :
later in the season you will only turn it on at short intervals, but it is an awsome site, lots of activity

I had to look up what kind of falcons we have here in South Dakota, not many! Mostly the American Kestral, plus some migrating ones. The peregrine is being reintroduced.
