Eagle at Norfolk has switched to a branch on the left side close to the nest, and he keeps looking down. Looks like he is thinking squirrel for brunch. Hahaha.
Have y'all read the update on BWE? The 2nd egg may have hatched. Looks like it may have but hard to tell. No eagle on nest. Father is a delinquent and has not been providing food. Mother may have to try to get father on the nest so she can go hunt but not been an eagle for the last 15 mins. that I can see. Lisa wrote a very good update so check it out if you haven't yet.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---THANKS STEVEN---MORNIN' SUNNY--DEB---DKIFE--& KARENINCALI!!!---(these are folks that weren't on the last blog this a.m.)!!!!---
Suzanne, my point is that there has not been an adult on the nest since I started watching 20/30 mins. ago. :-( May be a hard lesson coming over there if father doesn't step up and do his job.
Karen, there is an eagle on the nest in my picture. It has been there since I signed on at 8:45 and the time is correct. Maybe there is something wrong with your cam picture?
Well, I was looking at some pictures of mom at BW, and this very well may be the dad at BW right now, sits differently, and wings don't cross over tail as moms often do.
I knew it was cold here, but have been avoiding looking--I didn't want to know. The temp isn't that bad at 18, but the windchill is -2! I thought spring was supposed to be close.
I can't actually see food, but they're being fed something. YIPPEE!!!! I hope Mom whips Dad into shape and soon, before it's not too late for Sylvia and Sib.
Morning all! Yes, these babies are very exciting, especially now that there is food. Last night I was thinking, I can't watch this if that baby is not fed.
Now, everybody must remember that just because I put a name on these babies, it doesn't mean you all have to stick with those names. In saying that, I think I will call the second eaglet Everett (came up with that because it is the EVE of my birthday and don't want to presume that both eaglets are female).
In the back window of my car, I have a big stuffed eaglet that our Mits gave me and I named him Walter Talonstone!
Morning, all. Thanks, Paula, I only saw the end of the feeding, so didn't know how long it lasted. Also very very good to see that fish in the nest!!! Sure glad of that. Norma, enjoy study group. And ok, got the Sylvia thing. The name is bigger than the chick at the moment, too cute.
Hi and good by. Just wanted to check in . I'm out the door but I will be lurking all day. Its frustrating but better than nothing. May each of you find smiles today. :) Anne.
Oh maybe there was something wrong with my cam this a.m. Looked like it was refreshing and saw baby in different positions but no parent so was really worried. Glad mom found food! I guess there are deadbeat dads even in the animal world LOL!
Lisa said one day she didn't believe this male eagle. Was the same one from last year. Of course, don't know what happened to that dad. Maybe this one just needs time and lesson's. Mom will make him sit on the chicklets while she hunts I'm sure. ( :
Good Morning Jo and Dave....I want to get a pic tomorrow of the new hatchling. I have a day old of Sylvia. I want to compare their size. This one looks alot smaller. Sid or Sib?
Thanks Deb I just saw Scarface resting there at Pook's. In reading the comments I clicked on the word 'machine' YOU need one of those yet Deb? lol I must give thanks that our nest is NOT full of snow!
Hi, eagle & eaglet lovers! Great to see that second little fuzzy at BW. Stephanie - I did not have audio at our nest. Very windy up here in this mountain. The river was high and very muddy this AM on my way to work.
Thanks for the heads up Stephanie & for the phone call, Sharon!
Tee Hee See what happens when Mema leaves the room.. Let's give credit where credit is due! Thanks to all who made this happen! And everyone knows who you are!

Thanks Steven, we are all waiting patiently..
Can you please tell me when these eggs are expected to start hatching? Thanks
You may be right Sharon.

Good Morning Sunny, Deb, Sharon, Megan, dkife, Jim, Suzanne, KareninCali and Norma... Good to see you all once again.
Visit with son and grandson was great, but exhausting.. have over 600 messages to catch up on...
Love little Sylvia and now the new little one. Does that one have a name yet?

Dad definitely needs to step up at BWE. Poor mom having to do all the work. Hopefully, he will learn quickly.
I could tell it was Dad by the little white tuft on his right shoulder. Mom just arrived and it looks like with food! Maybe?
oh, mom is back.
It looks like Sylvia and her sibling are getting fed!
WHHOOOOO HOOOOOOO!
Maybe Dad will get the point now.
Woo Hoo - news on the live cam and a new chicklet!!
Life is Good!
Awww, time for breakfast!
That is so cute...
I knew it was cold here, but have been avoiding looking--I didn't want to know. The temp isn't that bad at 18, but the windchill is -2! I thought spring was supposed to be close.

First chick feeding I have seen! Thank you, God!!!
Nice long feeding
Guess she told dad to watch the kids while she caught some food.
Poor new chick is all tuckered out, bless it's little heart.
Well that didn't last long! Darn.
And that looks like Dad back on Sylvia and Sib!
Gotta run off to the DR hope there's more news on the live feed when I get back... can't wait to hear sound on this cam!
In the meantime while I was watching the BW feeding, the eagle at Norfolk departed.

Jim
Well, that was my first ever feeding of a chick! Last night I thought I was going to have to stop watching. My heart was breaking!
So I must have missed something. Are you all calling Lady BW Sylvia now? Have to admit, I'm behind reading past blogs.

Great to see the fish laying in the nest.
At least there is fresh fish now.
Welcome Joanne from CT. Quite an extensive forum there...
Morning all! Yes, these babies are very exciting, especially now that there is food. Last night I was thinking, I can't watch this if that baby is not fed.
Eaglet branching at CC1
sorry--have study group, etc.--LATER!!---
Also, they have a new video installemnt of "As the Nest Turns" at NBG.
I am thinking Lady BW is going to stock up a little bit before she lets him go anywhere.
Does anyone know how many eggs at BC? I thought I saw two mentioned.
Now, everybody must remember that just because I put a name on these babies, it doesn't mean you all have to stick with those names. Norma, enjoy study group.
And ok, got the Sylvia thing. The name is bigger than the chick at the moment, too cute.
I think that is Dad on Sylvia and Everett, yes! :)
UGH, Sharon, gonna have to pick cuter names for those little chicks!
Great!
Andrew and Mattie? Just joking!
I think we are stuck with Sylvia. Not used to Everett though. I liked Sib. :)
Hi and good by. Just wanted to check in . I'm out the door but I will be lurking all day. Its frustrating but better than nothing. May each of you find smiles today. :) Anne.
Okay, Sylvia and Sib, I like that too.

Blackbirds in LW eagle nest.
Ewwies on BWO.
Lisa said one day she didn't believe this male eagle. Was the same one from last year. Of course, don't know what happened to that dad. Maybe this one just needs time and lesson's. Mom will make him sit on the chicklets while she hunts I'm sure. ( :

WOW How cool is that; two babies
I saw them both.
I did come on over, that last thread was a long one.
Indiana Nesting Eagles----Dave
Moosecam is up and Scarface is there.
Good Morning Jo and Dave....I want to get a pic tomorrow of the new hatchling. I have a day old of Sylvia. I want to compare their size. This one looks alot smaller. Sid or Sib?
Lady BW must have had breakfast while she was out. She's saving the fishie for the babies. Not taking any more chances. I hope SHE gets enough to eat!
I used Sib earlier just as an abbreviation for sibling!
Sylvia and Sib (as in sibling).
Thanks Deb I just saw Scarface resting there at Pook's. In reading the comments I clicked on the word
'machine' YOU need one of those yet Deb? lol
I must give thanks that our nest is NOT full of snow!
Morning, all. Yes, Dana, saw chick half out of egg at 0633, totally out of egg by 0735. Too cool. Sent you pics.
BBILW Need to read earlier am comments. Life is GOOD! Love those little new ones. And guess where the next little one will pop up - NCTC
Come on Live Feed & Audio!
Good Morning Eagle Buddies!
I'm getting sound on our live feed but no picture. Is that what you have or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
Overcast in Parkersburg, WV
Yes got into my mail what great pictures of the hatching.....we were represented by Suzanne lol
Liberty and Belle was both at our nest. Food brought in by Belle. Liberty gone now.
I sort of like Sid??? ( :
I went and checked out your machine, Jo. I could maybe use one half that size, every once in a while. Can you imagine having a snow blower that big?
Lisa put up a note saying they think it was Dad that brought in the fish. I hope they are right.
Stephanie ----- OMG. We are getting sound on the live feed but no video. Didn't even know there was a link yet! I am only hearing lots of wind.
Yeah if it was Dad Yeahhh for Dad.....
Me too but looks like we are getting close. When Dad came in a few minutes ago I could hear him calling to Mom. How cool!
WE HAVE LIVE FEED!!!!!!
OMG it's live!!!!
But no sound yet!
what is the link??
Hi, eagle & eaglet lovers! Great to see that second little fuzzy at BW. Stephanie - I did not have audio at our nest. Very windy up here in this mountain. The river was high and very muddy this AM on my way to work.
You are right - the wind was really howling earlier.
Right Carol - I had audio first with no picture. Now picture and no audio.

WHOO HOO!!!!
We sure should NOT have any
unhappy Nestors now!
Thanks for the heads up Stephanie
& for the phone call, Sharon!
Tee Hee See what happens when Mema leaves the room.. Let's give credit where credit is due!
Thanks to all who made this happen!
And everyone knows who you are!
The audio is turned off for now as it is interfering with the video signal when we turn it on. Hopefully we'll figure it out soon.
Thanks again for the live feed! It is great!
Off to small group study at church, bbl...
Paula, hope it stays calm until I get back! Good analogy about being quite while eating a good meal!
There is a new thread....
Thank you floralgirl. I don't get to watch much during the day, so I always seem to have lots of questions.
