Hello, I'm a teacher in Illinois. I am enjoying watching this nest, as are my students. We are wondering where the eagles are located? Also, does anyone know when the "eagle nest updates" will be updated? Thanks!
Welcome Angie and her students watching the NCTC eagles and eaglets... Like Mits said its located in Shepherdstown WV at the National Conservation Traing Center.. Which is a beautiful place.. The nest is located in a big Sycamore tree 90 ft up.. This si the 4thyear for this nest Steven said.. Stevn is our main man at NCTC... Mosy of us here on blog have been watching the nest for 3 years now.. Last year 2007 we suffered heartbreak as she lost her 3 eggs to ice and snow.. In 2006 this pair raised 3 eagles and all fledged and they remain dear in our hearts.. Now after waiitng WE have these 3 beautiful eaglets to watch grow and thrive and fly off to soar this land of ours the USA... Liberty and Belle are great parents as you will see.. So glad you joined us..

Good morning, everyone. The sun is shining here today, YEA! I was getting tired of clouds. It is supposed to get up to 55 today.

We are in the time of year that you never know what will happen, 50's one day, 20's the next. The forecast can change frequently. They are talking snow for Wednesday night, I sure hope they are wrong.
Yesterday when company was here, we were trying to figure out what my neighbors were doing, so we were looking out the window. I flew to the door, yelling, "Did you see that?" I got that, "You are nuts" look. I explained that an eagle flew over, still got the you are nuts look.
Osprey at BWO.
Lisa's update from yesterday at BWO
Nest Update
03/23/08:
Despite the fact we've seen two ospreys at the nest, we're a little confused as to why they're not nest building.
In fact, they're even letting eagles visit their nest, which means they're not defending their home.
Looks like lunchtime...Belle is preparing the fish :)
I wondered about that, maybe the osprey we saw are just passing through and aren't the nesting pair.
MORNIN' DEB!!----I feel your pain!!---Daughter needed to borrow my car---Came for keys!!---Was watching--EAGLETS!!---Ask if she
wanted to look---Glanced at at screen---"That's nice Mom!!---
Just as I put up the 23rd news, Lisa just put up this info for the 24th
Cam pic has finally improved...not the garish whiteout....must be all warmed up for the day!
Norma sounds like my hubby

What have you named the babies?
Hello again, everybody. I saw Lisa's comment about the Ospreys and had to laugh. That nest is a little bit more than a fixer-upper! That's a whole new rennovation. Maybe the osprey don't want to build from the ground up. Poor guys!

Something flying around at the nest...could see it pass under the nest on the left
Back, Dana - but have to go run some work errands...
Paula you have mail
Okay, does anybody have any idea what that is they brought into this nest. It is big whatever it is. Kind of looks like some kind of bird to me.
Just got back and see that Sharon...that would be my guess
Looking back, she grabbed it big time as soon as he landed with it
She sure did Paula. It doesn't really look like a duck. I was thinking that lovely hawk that has been hanging out but I honestly can't tell.

Looks like a head on the left and feet on the right...still looking back at the tape...she took off a couple of minutes after he dropped it off
When she cam back, she landed by the new food drop, then went to the back and dug something old up...they still have quite a stash back there...
Although, it kinda looks like Lib on the back now...
Just returned from running errands. Checking all cams. Anyone know anything about the LW cam being frozen on a week ago and the heron cams as well!

Both eagles at nest in Maine!
Hello, I'm a teacher in Illinois. I am enjoying watching this nest, as are my students. We are wondering where the eagles are located? Also, does anyone know when the "eagle nest updates" will be updated? Thanks!
Whoops! One just flew away. It is such a pretty site with the blue water! And those eagles! Wow!
Lolly yes it is beautiful with that eagle on the branch in Maine ( :
Well Steven wrote back and said "It's a ground hog, not much left of it." So that is the brown thing in the nest.
Angie, if you go to the homepage there is a loacation to click on and you will find a map.
Well, back to my latest project of sewing some curtains for my grandsons! bbl
