BRANDON IS 7, CORRECT? HOPE HE LIKED SOME OF THE BIRDS LAST NIGHT! I HAVE 3 LITTLE ONES---THEY WATCH FOR A LITTLE WHILE BUT WHEN THERE ISN'T MUCH GOING ON THEY WOULD MUCH RATHER DO SOMETHING ELSE
Ok rockingcr - You are so right! Thanks for the news on the 2nd hatch of Mama Valmont! She was out and about around the 7:00pm daily pics & when I looked I could not see any egg! Then I came back & read your news! 2 HOOTIES WHoo HOo
OK I made it now I know. Brandon is 7 going on 17. he comes over as much as he can. My daughter lives about 3 blocks away. I worried about it being so close to her when I moved but it workd out just fine.
Ho Ho ANNE! you made it through the split and didn't even realize it!
See the oldest Older over at the beginning and the numbers 401 404 of 404 ?? Thread automatically splits at 201 & 401 & 601 should we be so unlucky not to get a SPLIT before 600
Boy these are busy times. Second split of the day. Lots of eaglets to watch and the osprey are back. I watched seven osprey in one area over a water platform on Friday. Lots of chasing. An immature eagle even got into the act. I took over 500 photos in just over an hour and a half. I narrowed them down to about 50. Here are they are:
We are a busy bunch. I got an email from Robyn and I am so thrilled about the wonderful changes in her and Tori's life. I wish them love and happiness.
rockin, I had a grand mother like that too. I have grandchildren from 22 to new and I am very blessed. I had a childhood that if I hadnt had a grandmother that cared about me I wouldnt have made it.
What is really great for me is that I have two families. I have my grown girls(grand daughters) and I have my babies. Its like having the both of two worlds. I am so blessed.
I will have my first great grandchild this fall. Now I had to take this with a big breath. Believe me it wasnt easy. But she is 20 and she is married and says she is ready. I have to remember that.
Bob, the ones here are more gray than blue. I, also, don't remember the ones I have seen having the white on the face. I plan to get much closer to them this summer, now that I know the Lake Andes Wildlife Refuge has them, once the lake thaws. When I was there last Sunday, it hadn't even started yet.
The electrict sprinklers just went on. For those who live in the east and dont need them we dont have rain to amount to anything in the summer and my son turned them on this afternoon. It scared me to death. Strange noises.
MEMA JO--DID YOU GET TO SEE THE 2 HOOTIES? I SURE HOPE SO---THE ONE IS VERY ACTIVE AND HAS SEEMED TO WANT TO GO EXPLORING---SHE SITS ON HIM/HER VERY QUICKLY TO PUT HIM/HER BACK IN PLACE.
What great detail in those photos! I have to laugh at the very last one..the eagle at the osprey nest cam platform. He is sitting there like, OK I'm ready, take my picture!
Paula - I just turned. The ones in the tree folllowed by the ones flying and then the one on the platform were all taken standing on the same spot. It helps to have a long lens.
I saw how big your lens is, I wish I had a bigger one. Bob, I talk to the eagles in a real soft voice. They seem to sit there longer when I do. (Most people think I am nuts, but I think it works.)
It is just as beautiful that way, Bob. Still more colorful than the ones I have seen here. There are so many varieties, I didn't realize that until we started watching the ones at the WDFW site.
I am also lucky that sometimes they are close enough to the road, I don't have to get out of my truck. They don't mind me as much. Sadly, most of them have migrated back north. Next November is a long time off.
Well you and the new camera seem to work well together. Love the little RWBB with his mouth open too. And the herons are really nice....we are all watching a heron cam too.
loved the herons, Bob. They are a favorite of mine. Good night dear friends. I will remember all your needs when I talk to my Jesus tonight. God Bless You all and have a precious Palm Sunday tomorrow. love donna
I see Spidey's web flowing in the wind but deep down in the nest, not a feather is fluttering! Yesterday the egg cup was so deep we could hardly see the bobbleheads and they kept adding more grass around the cup!
And 2 new fish that I didn't see last night. I wonder if that OLD fish tastes good to them.
Good Morning to all, when you wake up and Happy Sunday! I'm away to town to get my eyes checked so I can replace my broken glasses. BBL!
good morning from the uk. First time i have written a blog on here but i was watching liberty and belle last year when the storm came. Superb to have them back . Fingers crossed for them this time .
good morning. this is my first post on here but i have been watching liberty and belle last year when the storm came. Superb to have them back . Fingers crossed . xxxxxx
Hey Jim and AJ. First chance I have had to check the blog. Thanks for making it easy. I see we don't have a new chick. Too tired to read anything else. There is a light raining falling in Martinsburg. Picks up a little at times but not too back. Still fairly warm out.
Hi, AJ. Well, I watch a few more from time to time ... like Blackwater and Norfolk. But with the 30 sec cam and the live feed and the blog, you could certainly spend all your time on the Liberty-Belle pair and their offspring.
yes this one keeps me busy, and i have a hard time with the blog at times , i may be doing it the hard way , i can post good but have trouble getting othed blogger mesages
I haven't slept since 8 am and that was only about 5 hours. If I wasn't so tired, your little friend may actually look like more than punctuation marks. I am going to bed. Had to wait up for youngest to get home from Balt and no sooner did I pick him up than they called me to work. He slept in the car while I went in. (At least he got to sleep)
I was playing around with "smileys, [:~)], etc., and I did one with a degree symbol and a question mark...(°? ... which I also like, and then I just added the other eye and the "C" and "3" for ears. And you have... C(°?°)3

I have never been on the blog when its been this busy. I didnt know about the split. neat!
How are you doing Sharon?
Takes awhile to read and watch everyone's videos to catch up even if you're just gone a few hours.......
took me hours today to read Thursday and Fridays posts...

Friday's Photos
We are a busy bunch. I got an email from Robyn and I am so thrilled about the wonderful changes in her and Tori's life. I wish them love and happiness.
HEIDIGIRL---SURE MISS THE TIMES I HAD WITH MY GRANDMOTHER---I CHERISH EACH AND EVERY MEMORY I HAVE---AM SURE BRANDON ENJOYS HIS TIME WITH YOU!
thank you Bob. Your photos are such a treat.
PAULA EAGLEHOLIC==THANKS FOR THE UPDATE ABOUT THE NEST WATCHING---WILL LIB GIVE HER A BREAK AT ALL NOW OR BE GONE MOST OF THE NIGHT?
Going to bed now.
Good night my friends of fine feathers and fur. Rest well.
rockin, I had a grand mother like that too. I have grandchildren from 22 to new and I am very blessed. I had a childhood that if I hadnt had a grandmother that cared about me I wouldnt have made it.
Thanks, Bob- you're pictures are wonderful- they always are, looks like it was a great birding day there.
Oh Bob I wish I could be with you just once. If I can see even a red tailed hawk Im thrilled.
BOB, YOU OUTDID YOURSELF...JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!
The first heron picture is fabulous, I think it is my favorite of this bunch. The heron here aren't as colorful. I love seeing your pictures, Bob.
Deb I love the "feathery" looks of the bird.
HEIDIGIRL--SO NICE THAT YOU CAN SHARE SPECIAL THINGS WITH YOUR GRANDCHILDREN. IS EVEN MORE SPECIAL BECAUSE YOU KNOW THE VALUE OF THE TIME.
What is really great for me is that I have two families. I have my grown girls(grand daughters) and I have my babies. Its like having the both of two worlds. I am so blessed.
Deb - I think the color on those heron pictures is a little off. It didn't look so blue when I saw it. I may go back and try to correct those.
I will have my first great grandchild this fall. Now I had to take this with a big breath. Believe me it wasnt easy. But she is 20 and she is married and says she is ready. I have to remember that.
Bob I have found that true to with the herons. It has to be a cast we are not seeing.
Oh, boy Pics from Bob! Thanks!
Rocking - Lib will relieve her in the morning...good to see her sleeping right now!
Bob, the ones here are more gray than blue. I, also, don't remember the ones I have seen having the white on the face. Fish guts for lunch!
THANKS PAULA---HOPE SHE GETS SOME REST.
I'm going in for the 50 photos Bob has posted....... Was over in my emials........ Hi Bob! Here goes...
BBL heading for the shower.
MEMA JO--DID YOU GET TO SEE THE 2 HOOTIES? I SURE HOPE SO---THE ONE IS VERY ACTIVE AND HAS SEEMED TO WANT TO GO EXPLORING---SHE SITS ON HIM/HER VERY QUICKLY TO PUT HIM/HER BACK IN PLACE.
NIGHT ALL---HAS BEEN A LONG DAY---WILL HAVE TO CATCH UP TOMORROW
HOPE ALL SLEEP WELL---
The photos are fantastic.Looking at them makes you feel like you'll right up there with them! Thanks, Bob!
The Eagle Festival should have been a hit today with the weather and all the birds around. Says there is light rain now at the Refuge.......
What great detail in those photos! I have to laugh at the very last one..the eagle at the osprey nest cam platform. He is sitting there like, OK I'm ready, take my picture!
Love all the shots, BOB
Deb - I corrected the heron images. Probably not perfect but closer to what I saw.
Paula - The eagle on the osprey cam platform was the same one that was in the tree. I got too close and it flew by me straight to the platform.
Night, Mits!
LOL - so you just followed him there, huh?
Paula - I just turned. The ones in the tree folllowed by the ones flying and then the one on the platform were all taken standing on the same spot. It helps to have a long lens.
I saw how big your lens is, I wish I had a bigger one. Bob, I talk to the eagles in a real soft voice. They seem to sit there longer when I do. (Most people think I am nuts, but I think it works.)
I'll have to try that Deb. I think my rapid fire shutter noise scares them off.
It is just as beautiful that way, Bob. Still more colorful than the ones I have seen here. There are so many varieties, I didn't realize that until we started watching the ones at the WDFW site.
So they were in the grove of trees there then, I get it now.
You got it Paula. One of my favorite spots to catche them.
I am also lucky that sometimes they are close enough to the road, I don't have to get out of my truck. They don't mind me as much. Sadly, most of them have migrated back north. Next November is a long time off.

She just woke up and is looking around
She is napping...
Nite again.
I see Spidey's web flowing in the wind but deep down in the nest, not a feather is fluttering! Yesterday the egg cup was so deep we could hardly see the bobbleheads and they kept adding more grass around the cup!

hello whizzy welcome aboard
she has 2 eaglets and a egg still in incubation will hatch any day now
I read most of this page of comments, and it doesn't look like the 3rd chick hatched today. Is that correct?
C(°?°)3
Jim
The female is still not on the nest tonight, so I guess she didn't lay an egg today.
C(°?°)3
Jim
no it hasent, maybe any time now
no it hasent, maybe any time now
Meant to say "the Norfolk female..."

hi Jill looks like bell is getting rained on at times tonight, no chick yet

Morning, Jill.
I'm tired too, although I've been sleeping off and on all day ... body trying to kick a head-lung thing.
Thought I'd check in before going to bed. How do you like my new little friend, just below here??
C(°?°)3
Jim
I haven't slept since 8 am and that was only about 5 hours. If I wasn't so tired, your little friend may actually look like more than punctuation marks. I am going to bed. Yes, AJ, you have to refresh (reload) (F5 works) every few minutes, or you will not see any of the newer comments made since your last post...
You seem to be getting mine and Jill's this morning.
C(°?°)3
Jim
how did you do that?
Wow, that's a lot of "no sleep," Jill.
Rest easy, it doesn't look like the 3rd one will hatch before morning.
C(°?°)3
Jim
i have been hitting refresh , its doing better
Do what, AJ
C(°?°)3
Jim
Do you have the live feed up? Belle is tenting and probably sleeping, and Spidey's webs are blowing in the wind like Mrs. Mulligan's laundry lines.
C(°?°)3
Jim
yes i have live feed and love it
Are you planning to stay up all night, AJ? It's 12:30 a.m. here in So Cal!!
C(°?°)3
Jim
yes i stay up till around 4 am , its s;so here now i am a night person
sorry 3:30 here typo
I just looked at the cam & live feed, and it appears to be raining harder.
The adult, which looks more like Liberty right now, is tenting with wings spread even farther.
C(°?°)3
Jim
how did you make the face?
it may be lib its hard to tell sometimes
Had to go to the boy's room, and now I can't tell which adult it is on the nest either.
It would make sense that it was Liberty, because they were alternating night shifts before the hatching, and Belle has had 2-3 hard nights in a row.
C(°?°)3
Jim
I was playing around with "smileys, [:~)], etc., and I did one with a degree symbol and a question mark...(°? ... which I also like, and then I just added the other eye and the "C" and "3" for ears. And you have... C(°?°)3
Jim
Good night, AJ. Catch you tomorrow.
Happy Sunday.
C(°?°)3
Jim
ok i will practice on it later, its neat, i will see you tomorrow night bye
Bye, AJ ... glad you like it. See you tomorrow.
Maybe the 3rd chick will come, it's been 2 days.

Jim
