Lynn's birds do have the dove shape, but not the correct markings. Could they be pigeons?

yeah could be, the cam operates on batteries, and is over 7 miles from the summit...amazing, and don't worry not going to go there and compare this to other cams we watch;)

Yes, 10 minutes is right. I think the camera is at a station that monitors earthquakes and such.

Seismicity is still elevated. Partly cloudy Hut webcam views over the last hour show a vigorous plume emitting from the summit of the volcano and trailing south. The webcam also shows fresh lahar deposits on the Drift Glacier. There have been no other large explosions since this morning's large eruption at 9:24AM.

Chrissy and Hedgie Thanks for your votes on the pictures. I find them quicker and easier on my Blog but I spotted Chrissy's now as I was reading backwards...trying to read some good news aobut CO mom...glad she has some food close by and eggs appear dry.

maybe they where trying to get a better picture of the flow, if they have those capabilities to do that with the cam.
Eagle up, our nest
Pee’ ech, the male Golden Eagle, an educational bird with the IWS, laid an egg. Oops! They are going to have the local Tongva tribe members come up with a better name. Pee’ ech means "Little Brother." In the meantime, they are calling her Heidi.

Thanks, Mits. Belle was spread out tenting, and then I looked again and the eagle had its back to us, but still looked like an eagle behind it covering Hidey...now looks like just one...must have seen a shadow that looked like a wing.

Nest Update
03/26/09:
Our last sighting of an osprey was on March 24.
We've heard that other local ospreys were slow to return this year, so hopefully ours are just taking their time making their way north.
When I first put it up, my eyes thought there were two too.
I saw Spidey earlier...

I heard they need fly spray at NBG already....all those fish are attracting the flies!
it was gross today.....good thing they don't have sound....it would have been buzzing like crazy
How close in NBG nest to the office area??? Wouldn't think flies after the nest fish would travel too far!!
Flies can find dead fish anywhere!
