Glad to see the kids home for supper. I'm off to hit ahower and snooze land soon. I am so mad at myself. I was cutting this monstrous hedge in front of the house and was 2 feet from finishing when I cut the extension cord with the electric hedge trimmers. I had been so careful....oh well, I really wanted to drive 35 miles to get a new one at Lowes. Maybe a WalNart one will do....that will be tomorrow. SED everyone.
Take Care Grannyblt :) We all have made some kind of mistake in life. You was almost done before cutting the cord. Happy it was not your fingers lady !
Good Evening Eagle Buds!!!! Had a lot of reading to do. One of those work days interrupted by an appointment. I've got to remember Do Not Go on the Beltway on Friday!!!I got back at 4:30 & worked 'til 7:00. Pretty sure I saw a Monarch on the butterfly bush Sunday & another one this AM! BBL~~~din din
Good evening everyone. I am getting ready to head up to watch some TV with Mattie. I have to go to the wake at 10, funeral at 11 in the morning. While everyone else goes to the cemetery, me and Sissy will go to my brother's house to get the food set out to feed everyone. Such a sad day for them.
well, laundry, steam cleaning carpet, dusting, GROSSery shopping. And of course, bird watching! Gardens need some weeding and trimming....OOOOOO one of my Megan Nicotaina plants has just gotten a flower stem and buds...should open any evening soon now!
OH No news on another cam failure and this time it was a bunch of juveniles LOL
~ June 15th Special Photo of the Day ~ THE PICTURE IS THE CAM KNOCKED OFF
We'd like to thank the 2012 Decorah Eagle juveniles for their very active participation in providing our new infrared camera view. The view that is no more. ;)
(They knocked it off the mount). The camera still works, but you can't see the nest from the angle it's in now. SAD NEWS FOR VIEWING
Now I am sitting by the fire catching up with you guys! The bluebirds that moved in our bluebird box (the day we put it up!!) have been busy today. They must have babies in there. A parent will come in with worms and stick his/her head in the box and drop the worms and fly off. But I haven't heard any peeps from the nest yet. We keep listening for them though! They are such beautiful creatures. Can't watch the eagles from here because it uses too much of my wifi data plan. But there is plenty of in real life wildlife to watch!
Sounds good BEV...enjoy the weekend... LYNNE your weekend sounds good also. I like how you create this wonderful life energy around all the things to be done...enjoy bird watching.
On may way....LOL! How far a drive its it? I may HAVE to come down. Kinda sucks that Steve works every Saturday. We'll never get to go camping or to my MIL's at this rate. BUT....YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! He has a JOB!!
Been watching the Bluebirds in my nest box. Usually after they get bigger. The parents will carry out their little bags of poo and fly them far across the street and drop them. In order to keep anything away from the nest that might eat the babies.
They are so beautiful to watch. This is their 2nd hatch this year. I just love bluebirds. Love their music.
Lynnie, (☺) Laurel and I are going to a big craft show tomorrow morning. Then we are going to their house for dinner tomorrow night. Joey is smoking meat. I am taking a lemon meringue pie.
Then Sunday late afternoon we are going to Michael's.
Just realized I should make that pie tonight. Groan!
This afternoon, I heard what sounded like an explosion in the distance. I said something to Jack. Then a short time later a friend said on facebook that she and several others felt an aftershock. Hmmmmm??? I did not feel anything, but I heard something.
Hope Paula is having a great time in Paradise. Shar & Sissy, so sorry you will attend a funeral service. Maybe when it's over you can go back to the Lake.Sounds beautiful and restful. ☺ Lolly, glad your Shake, Rattle, & Roll didn't bother you! Lynne, when those ospreys fledge I hope Greg will be able to show other nest. It has 3 chicks much smaller. These two now can eat by themselves when no one's watching!
Gotta check weather & figure out what to wear in AM! To all hitting the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams and Prayers for Good Health for ALL ;>)
Well good night fair ladies. Got to head home in the morning for my sil's mothers funeral. Me and Sher are gonna get a meal together for them after the funeral. Then we are high-tailing it back down here! Catch y'all tomorrow! Love and hugs!!
Glad you get to return to the lake, Bev. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow.
Yes, Shirley, I would say a rumble or explosion in the distance. I knew it wasn't thunder as we had sunshine and not clouds near. I asked Jack "What was that?" but he did not hear anything. He is deaf in one ear.
it was a banging sort of rumbling that I heard the early morning we had a little quake here..woke me up and without even thinking I yelled Steve we just had an earthquake! Of course, he thought I was nuts. It was around 5am. Later in the morning on the news, I was RIGHT! But when we had the big quake last year, it was shaking, but I don't remember any sound.
Here is the email I got (love that site Shirely...I have it set to email me for any quakes in the eastern U. S.)
Region: NORTHERN TEXAS Geographic coordinates: 32.488N, 97.285W Magnitude: 3.1 M Depth: 5 km Universal Time (UTC): 15 Jun 2012 07:02:33 Time near the Epicenter: 15 Jun 2012 02:02:33 Local standard time in your area: 15 Jun 2012 07:02:33

I remember sound, then, Lynne, and I remember sound when we had an earthquake one day when I was at school. Kind of like large truck going by, but more intense. I wondered if it might be kids running through the halls. Sports teams did that after school, but it was more intense than that, too.
I watched the Tight Rope Walker when he went over the Inner Harbor - sorta freaked me out and I will not watch him walk over the falls... Why do people put themselves in so much danger - near death danger......
Sharon and Bev have safe travels tomorrow. Blessings for the family.
Loretta - is Greg banding any of the osprey. Ceil says she is coming down... She is also going out to the Fort Sunday to watch the Blue Angels. Baltimore is really celebrating with the ships and events.
It is a good country and all but this is NUTS!!! I am glad they stamped his passport...wonder what questions they asked him??? Thanks for letting me know he made it...what would the tether do? How would they rescue him? helicpters can not lower there...I am sure Canadian news will carry it, or have carried it...
Once upon a time, I was in a 5 year relationship with an Ironworker. You know, those crazy guys that walk around on 4" wide pieces of steel a zillion stories high....

Hoda, pray tell, how do you block unwanted emails? Can I do that with my gmail account?
Someone landed near the cam. Both kids looking up at whoever it is!
Thanks Hoda! I have now successfully blocked unwanted email.
Sure Sandi you can block your email from people like me if you don't want to get email from someone.
I am sure someone will get right on it and send you an email and tell you how.

Margy surprised you have not said anything about "red today to honor people in the Service".
Enjoy the outside lots of beautiful bird sounds and hummers and butterflies. One squirrel I hope the cats don't get him.
One eaglet I think is picking at a turtle shell.

Avatar is my posting which would have been in the June picture album. Good picture I think :)
BBL~~~din din
evening all! and a beauty it is indeed!
Just spent a few minutes watching my "new" bird, the Brown Thrasher, collecting bugs. Must be nest nearby!!
Hi Lynne! Busy cooking a great dinner right now. So hungry!
What do you have planned for the weekend?
Good evening everyone. I am getting ready to head up to watch some TV with Mattie. I have to go to the wake at 10, funeral at 11 in the morning. While everyone else goes to the cemetery, me and Sissy will go to my brother's house to get the food set out to feed everyone. Such a sad day for them.
well, laundry, steam cleaning carpet, dusting, GROSSery shopping. And of course, bird watching! Gardens need some weeding and trimming....OOOOOO one of my Megan Nicotaina plants has just gotten a flower stem and buds...should open any evening soon now!
aw, sad day Sharon :(
LOOOOOOOOLY whatcha doin' this weekend??
Big healthy looking racoon at SM cam!
Pax Osprey chicks are getting big and bold!
TV eggs should hatch any day now!
It was on facebook with a picture of the cam being knocked off
Now I am sitting by the fire catching up with you guys! But there is plenty of in real life wildlife to watch!
oh no...BAD EAGLETS!!
Gee, wish I was sittin' by a campfire....
Sounds good BEV...enjoy the weekend...
LYNNE your weekend sounds good also. I like how you create this wonderful life energy around all the things to be done...enjoy bird watching.
Lynne, come on down! I would love to have some Momster friends here!?
On may way....LOL! How far a drive its it? I may HAVE to come down. Kinda sucks that Steve works every Saturday. We'll never get to go camping or to my MIL's at this rate. BUT....YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! He has a JOB!!
Hoda, I plan to be a whirling dervish tomorrow!
It is probably 3 hours from Shepherdstown. Google it. The town is Dublin, VA. It is right off of I-81.
GEEZ, it's FIVE hours!
Well, Bev, where is MY invitation? LOL
Groan!
Fun Lolly! Good eatin' too!
Yeah...
Good eating tonight too. We just finished eating and I am habby!
Anyone watching the walk across Niagra Falls? We are watching the ball game and recording the "walk".
Well I have finished watching my tv for the evening. Mystery story!
The Decorah nest always seemed so small and without crib rails for 3 juvies. I guess they found the only branch around
to jump on.
The Momsters are always welcome at my place Lolly!!
Lynne have your in-laws put their house up for sale yet?
Watching it now, Lolly. Had forgotten. Thanks for reminding me.
This afternoon, I heard what sounded like an explosion in the distance. I said something to Jack. Then a short time later a friend said on facebook that she and several others felt an aftershock. Hmmmmm??? I did not feel anything, but I heard something.
That is quite possible, Lolly. But I don't know about an explosion. When I heard an earthquake, it was more like a rumble.
Hope Paula is having a great time in Paradise.
Shar & Sissy, so sorry you will attend a funeral service. Maybe when it's over you can go back to the Lake.Sounds beautiful and restful. ☺
Lolly, glad your Shake, Rattle, & Roll didn't bother you!
Lynne, when those ospreys fledge I hope Greg will be able to show other nest. It has 3 chicks much smaller. These two now can eat by themselves when no one's watching!
Gotta check weather & figure out what to wear in AM!
To all hitting the hay, Pleasant
Feather Dreams and Prayers for Good Health for ALL ;>)
I guess a rumble could be like an explosion, though.
Yes, like an explosion in the distance.
Well good night fair ladies. Got to head home in the morning for my sil's mothers funeral. Me and Sher are gonna get a meal together for them after the funeral. Then we are high-tailing it back down here! Catch y'all tomorrow! Love and hugs!!
I like watching re-runs of Blue Blood just catching Tom Selleck is worth watching a re-run.
Heard a rumble without feeling anything during one of our aftershocks.
Earthquakes
it was a banging sort of rumbling that I heard the early morning we had a little quake here..woke me up and without even thinking I yelled Steve we just had an earthquake!

Now, I SAW the email, and never read it, so I was unaware of exactly where it happened. FAIL!!
I remember sound, then, Lynne, and I remember sound when we had an earthquake one day when I was at school. Kind of like large truck going by, but more intense. I wondered if it might be kids running through the halls. Sports teams did that after school, but it was more intense than that, too.
I watched the Tight Rope Walker when he
went over the Inner Harbor - sorta freaked me out and I will not watch him walk over the falls... Why do people
put themselves in so much danger - near death danger......
Sharon and Bev have safe travels tomorrow. Blessings for the family.
Loretta - is Greg banding any of the
osprey. Ceil says she is coming down...
She is also going out to the Fort Sunday to watch the Blue Angels. Baltimore is really celebrating with the
ships and events.
Walking the wire now.
OMG.....my mouth is hanging open. That is sooooo scary!!!
Amen, Lolly. Scary.
I won't even ride a Ferris wheel. Too scary.
I am holding my breath!!!
A heck of a way to go to Canada.
Breathe, Lolly.
Oh, I love a Ferris Wheel. More fun!
lol
This is almost too much for me. LOL
JO, I will hold you in my heart as I go to my meditation workshop this weekend. I hope my meditation helps with NO THOUGHTS. Empty Mind is the goal...
Thinking of SHAR and BEV as they prepare for tomorrow...
OK, is this on a time delay, you know, in case he falls???
Some people will do ANYTHING to get into Canada!!! LOL!!! Your posts are setting me on edge!!!
Shirley, have you ever been to the Falls. We went there one time. Loved it!
Have not been there, Lolly.
No, Lynne. It is live. ABC insisted that he have a life line. You can see it behind him.
welcome to Canada!
I can remember how hard the winds where when I went there
funny he has his passprot on him
Okay, he has his passport.
I see it now
We drove from Detroit through Canada to Niagra. Stayed on the Canada side. Rode the boat to base of the falls. Did a lot of things there. Had fun.
Hoda, do you think this will be the way for lots of illegals? LOL
Hey on the wire behind him is that a teather of sort>>> see it dragging behind him

Well, it is challenging enough to walk across my family room with the dogs and the cat in the way.

Judy is funny. Got a laugh out of Will.
I tripped over a rope once...

I like jumping rope but not walking on it
It is a good country and all but this is NUTS!!! I am glad they stamped his passport...wonder what questions they asked him???
Thanks for letting me know he made it...what would the tether do? How would they rescue him? helicpters can not lower there...I am sure Canadian news will carry it, or have carried it...
He is nice looking, and normal looking, but a wee bit crazy, I think!
a challenge with two cats that love to rub all over your legs is a challenge to
They asked him what was his purpose in coming to Canada.
Once upon a time, I was in a 5 year relationship with an Ironworker. You know, those crazy guys that walk around on 4" wide pieces of steel a zillion stories high....
