Good afternoon.

wvgal_dana said...

Thanks Steve for the new thread and JudyE for the call over.

Good afternoon to you too Thelma.
Hope you have a good day and a good
weekend.

Margy would be saying today is "FRIDAY" REMEMBER TO WEAR SOMETHING RED FOR OUR MILITARY.

Paula glad to know you made it
to "Paradise" safely.

Carolyn hope you get the pool
open and all that comes enjoys
the fun and laughter. Of course
the water but the other is more
important. The more you laugh the
better you feel...believe me I KNOW. I find laughing is just plain HEALTHY. I am getting a lot of it more these days. Not staying at home so much. Getting out with friends. They just crack me up lol

Lolly enjoy your craft show with Laurel. Have fun and laugh some.

Wanda I certainly hope with 7 milkweed plants you will start getting a lot of monarchs.

By the way my Pastor ask me. Since you all have been doing the Feeding of the homeless at church. How many have become saved and now are attending your church?

Good Morning Lori enjoy the beach. Yes passing that mailbox each day would make one sad. Remember all the laughs that Lynn had when she was healthy and laugh that
those memories with her.

CarolAnne so glad that Benjamin was found.
That is a PRAISE TO GOD....MAY HE HAVE THE GLORY. Glad your worry is over. God IS GOOD!!

Andy sorry about the windshield of Jay's car.
Although I am very glad and happy she is safe and unharmed.

Hoda who seems so healthy eating all that health food stuff. Just continue putting on
a smile .... they say that it takes more to smile than to frown. I just know we all can and are capable of a BIG SMILE :)

Good Morning Sandi have fun and enjoy your tennis girls.

Glo so excited for you to soon be holding your grand child in those loving arms of yours. I can feel your happiness and excitement.
Please share some pictures of them and the baby.

Shirley I hope you get your pegs for those trees. I know you are going to enjoy watching
them group. Your squirrels will now have a good nesting place after the trees get bigger.

Sharon I love that song. I miss my Father too.
We were very close. He and Ed are enjoying their time together though I know that. How can you
feel too badly knowing they are no longer in pain. Lynn is getting to know everyone in Heaven and she no longer has pain either nor saddness.

Morning Judie yes it is something I guess when you find you have slept through an earthquake. lol

Morning JudyE if your working have a good day. I really miss the "greeters" at WalMart here.
We are having a flip flop birthday party for the Pastor's wife. A gift for the craziess and
prettiest flip flops then one for hats too. Should be a blast. I can feel the laughter already as
each Sunday or Wednesday we ladies talk about it.

Thanks Jo for the update on Kay.

Thanks Hoda! I have now successfully blocked unwanted email.

wvgal_dana said...

Sure Sandi you can block your email from people like me if you don't want to get email from someone.

I am sure someone will get right on it and send you an email and tell you how.

Thanks Jim you know when I worked at Va Baltimore I worked with a lot of Vet that cam home from Vietnam. So many of their own relatives never came to visit. I had Surgical
Floor, SICU, CCU and covered many of the other floors. Our Vets were WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam and anything between. On my days off I went in and wrote letters for them. Many never even got a card in the mail. I know because one of my jobs was delivering the mail. So I would buy cards and Thank Them For Their Service and For them to take care and get better. Always signed it a Friend Who Care For You. I found people that were traveling and they would drop them in the mailbox somewhere along their trips.
It wasn't hard finding people in Baltimore traveling. To see the look on their faces when I yelled, "Mail call". The regulars would come walking on crutches or in wheel chair, only a few could walk on the own legs. The others never came. I went to their rooms and of course knowing their names. I would say like, "Mr. Clip why didn't you come for mail call?" He would say, " You know I never get any mail I am a Vietnam Vet no one care not even my family." I said, "Well someone cares". He said, "Why?" I said, "Because you have mail."
"Can't be impossible", he said. I said, "Well I am looking at this piece of mail and isn't your name David Clip??? He just looked at me all strange. I handed him the piece of mail and started to walk away. He called out, "No please stay I don't know what to do". I said, "well to start with why don't you just open it?" He did and let out such a laugh that caused some of the other Vets come into his room. We all didn't know he had such a fun loving laugh.
That was just one Vets 1st card of many and his reaction.

Jim thank you for sending this around....I know from working with them how they felt.

We'd like to thank the 2012 Decorah Eagle juveniles for their very active participation in providing our new infrared camera view. The view that is no more. ;)

(They knocked it off the mount). The camera still works, but you can't see the nest from the angle it's in now.
SAD NEWS FOR VIEWING

JudyE said...

It was on facebook with a picture of the cam being knocked off

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Now I am sitting by the fire catching up with you guys! The bluebirds that moved in our bluebird box (the day we put it up!!) have been busy today. They must have babies in there. A parent will come in with worms and stick his/her head in the box and drop the worms and fly off. But I haven't heard any peeps from the nest yet. We keep listening for them though! They are such beautiful creatures. Can't watch the eagles from here because it uses too much of my wifi data plan. But there is plenty of in real life wildlife to watch!

Lynne2 said...

oh no...BAD EAGLETS!!

Gee, wish I was sittin' by a campfire....

Hoda said...

Sounds good BEV...enjoy the weekend...
LYNNE your weekend sounds good also. I like how you create this wonderful life energy around all the things to be done...enjoy bird watching.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Lynne, come on down! I would love to have some Momster friends here!?

Lynne2 said...

On may way....LOL! How far a drive its it? I may HAVE to come down. Kinda sucks that Steve works every Saturday. We'll never get to go camping or to my MIL's at this rate. BUT....YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! He has a JOB!!

Hoda, I plan to be a whirling dervish tomorrow!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

It is probably 3 hours from Shepherdstown. Google it. The town is Dublin, VA. It is right off of I-81.

wvgal_dana said...

Been watching the Bluebirds in my nest box. Usually after they get bigger. The parents will carry out their little bags of poo and fly them far across the street and drop them. In order to keep anything away from the nest that might eat the babies.

They are so beautiful to watch. This is their 2nd hatch this year.
I just love bluebirds. Love their music.

Lynne2 said...

GEEZ, it's FIVE hours!

Lolly said...

Well, Bev, where is MY invitation? LOL

Lynnie, (☺) Laurel and I are going to a big craft show tomorrow morning. Then we are going to their house for dinner tomorrow night. Joey is smoking meat. I am taking a lemon meringue pie.

Then Sunday late afternoon we are going to Michael's.

Just realized I should make that pie tonight. Groan!

Lynne2 said...

Fun Lolly! Good eatin' too!

Lolly said...

Yeah...

Good eating tonight too. We just finished eating and I am habby!

Lolly said...

Anyone watching the walk across Niagra Falls? We are watching the ball game and recording the "walk".

Mema Jo said...

Well I have finished watching my tv for the evening. Mystery story!

The Decorah nest always seemed so small and without crib rails for 3 juvies. I guess they found the only branch around
to jump on.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

The Momsters are always welcome at my place Lolly!!

wvgal_dana said...

Lynne have your in-laws put their house up for sale yet?

stronghunter said...

Watching it now, Lolly. Had forgotten. Thanks for reminding me.

Lolly said...

This afternoon, I heard what sounded like an explosion in the distance. I said something to Jack. Then a short time later a friend said on facebook that she and several others felt an aftershock. Hmmmmm??? I did not feel anything, but I heard something.

stronghunter said...

That is quite possible, Lolly. But I don't know about an explosion. When I heard an earthquake, it was more like a rumble.

NatureNut said...

Hope Paula is having a great time in Paradise.
Shar & Sissy, so sorry you will attend a funeral service. Maybe when it's over you can go back to the Lake.Sounds beautiful and restful. ☺
Lolly, glad your Shake, Rattle, & Roll didn't bother you!
Lynne, when those ospreys fledge I hope Greg will be able to show other nest. It has 3 chicks much smaller. These two now can eat by themselves when no one's watching!

Gotta check weather & figure out what to wear in AM!
To all hitting the hay, Pleasant
Feather Dreams and Prayers for Good Health for ALL ;>)

stronghunter said...

I guess a rumble could be like an explosion, though.

stronghunter said...

Yes, like an explosion in the distance.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Well good night fair ladies. Got to head home in the morning for my sil's mothers funeral. Me and Sher are gonna get a meal together for them after the funeral. Then we are high-tailing it back down here! Catch y'all tomorrow! Love and hugs!!

wvgal_dana said...

I like watching re-runs of Blue Blood just catching Tom Selleck is worth watching a re-run.

stronghunter said...

Heard a rumble without feeling anything during one of our aftershocks.

Lolly said...

Glad you get to return to the lake, Bev. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow.

Yes, Shirley, I would say a rumble or explosion in the distance. I knew it wasn't thunder as we had sunshine and not clouds near. I asked Jack "What was that?" but he did not hear anything. He is deaf in one ear.

stronghunter said...

Earthquakes

Lynne2 said...

it was a banging sort of rumbling that I heard the early morning we had a little quake here..woke me up and without even thinking I yelled Steve we just had an earthquake! Of course, he thought I was nuts. It was around 5am. Later in the morning on the news, I was RIGHT! But when we had the big quake last year, it was shaking, but I don't remember any sound.

Lynne2 said...

Here is the email I got (love that site Shirely...I have it set to email me for any quakes in the eastern U. S.)

I remember sound, then, Lynne, and I remember sound when we had an earthquake one day when I was at school. Kind of like large truck going by, but more intense. I wondered if it might be kids running through the halls. Sports teams did that after school, but it was more intense than that, too.
