Okay - Two pics on the Roost link...☺

One thing I can say about using the vacuuum cleaner (after I figured out where the Power switch was)

was to find that the Thousand-Legger failed to survive although he made it partway into the bedroom along the wall :(

About the Carp I saw at Back Creek yesterday, asked my Naturalist friend from NY (who spent lots of time there years ago) :

" I would call the carp activity "breeding
behavior". Probably the female is getting ready to spawn and the
smaller males want to be there for the action. I think spawning is
when she actually lays the eggs, which are also called spawn. "

It was very interesting, one clearly larger fish, surrounded by a group of about five smaller ones, all swimming all around her, then they took off.

I think the Thousand Legger, must have been looking for newspapers or something, I elected not to take care of him earlier because I think they are so pretty and don't really bother anything

Nest Update

03/24/09:
We had ospreys for a bit, but now they seem to have gone. And last night we had a return of our Great horned owl. Maybe the ospreys were just passing through.

BWO UPDATE>>>

I think if there is a Poop Shoot, there are going to be a lot of screen grabs!

I think it is a flat fish...Mits..

TTFN - time to pay a few bills and head out the road for a pick-up with the Grandson...

I hope it is a Wonderful day for everyone....near and far

Hi fowl friends!
Haven't deserted....been lurking off and on....had awful leg cramps early this morning and ended up having to take a muscle relaxant...and then slept way late! Leg is so sore that sitting in chair is uncomfortable, so I've been laying on sofa for the most part.
