Crows calling at Maine. When I hear the crows now. I remember when I seen Liberty. There were 3 crows hitting him in the back. We know he wasn't after anything of theirs. It is just what crows do when another bird or raptor are in their area. It was sort of funny...not him getting dive bombed but he is so large and they so small.
A smaller picture didn't work, I tried replying to an email and that worked. Darn, I wanted to send out a picture of migrating geese. I will try later.
Jo, I do not have dial up. I just can not get the real player going. Oh, I have a couple of times. I have seen the live cam, but most of the time it just says "loading" and stays there. We have tried everything!
I want to SCREAM everytime someone says how wonderful the live cam is!
Jill, I just have to click on the address in my mailbox. I thought of that, too. Then I wondered if I goofed up something since I turned off e-mail from the group while I was gone. I think the picture must be too big.
Deb go back and check the settings make sure you are still a member of momsters. If you clicked the wrong thing you might have accidently quit the group.
It worked, I was trying to send it too big, I wanted everyone to see how many geese were in one stretch of the Missouri River when I was there on Sunday.
I was just looking at the hummingbird cam. I think there will be chicks there very soon. The first eggs were laid on Jan 8 and hatchec on Jan 25 (=17 days). The second eggs were laid Feb 24 and Mar 12 is 17 days.
I'm baaaaaaaaaccccccck. Thanks for all the wonderful prayers for the new grandson. He is home and recovering much much better than his gran. I am so glad to be home and I will catch up on the blog if it kills me. Good thing we had spring break last week since the baby was in the hospital all week. I have missed all of you. I see we have some new eagle momsters. Welcome from Mauley. God Bless BBL donna
Welcome back, Mauley! We have missed you and did you give your son-in-law the big message!!!! What number was that for them... I know you have 9 total grandchildren-right?
I wish our eagles could move that huge log (branch) away from the egg cup. I have been thinking that after our 3 little eaglets get here - whenever the parent feeds them - the parent's back is going to be facing us and we just may not get a good look at the little eaglets... Not sure, but I hope the parent stands off to the side for our viewing pleasure...
YOu gotta love it when you type a book and the blogger cop eats it for a snack.
Short version, Eagle flew in, pick up stick, put in on sitting eagles back, shook it off, tried again. Sitting eagle left. Other put stick in back of nest. If you rewind between 15 and 20 minutes you can watch it.
Hello Everyone, beautiful day out today. Ok, I've been gone all day, went to DC to check out the new mkt. location:) I'm back now, so one of those eggs can hatch anytime now!!
It's great, Helen. We will be set up right in front of the entrance to the Whole foods store, we are under a parking deck roof, the Whole foods rep is really excited to have us, they are going to do lots of advertising, sounds like a great opportunity, and I'm the only vendor selling plants and flowers. Are you feeling better?
that's one fidgety eagle we got on the nest folks! i think they've moved the same batch of fluff all over the egg cup and back again! just NOT satisfied!
yes, Mits, they will promote us on website, in paper, and all over the store, and they're even going to have a chef prepare food in the store using our produce to help steer people our way. This is a great opportunity and I plan to take full advantage of it.
they usually show up around 7:30p.m.....and dinner will be ready for them, but nothing else, still not doing laundry yet, the big guy is doing that still.
Not sure where that one is. There's a new one right off I66 near the Fair Oaks exit. It also is rather impressive. Half of it is carry-out food bars. Yummy yummy foods.
Thanks Deb for the pics at DFIG. Megan it surely sounds like a good spot. With them already feeling happy about you coming there. Sounds really good ... GOOD LUCK !! ( : Fixing early dinner bbl
Let me see down in there... I see 2 Too much fluff WOW digging down Still can only see 2 Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle Now fill in the fluff that was just pulled back..............
Hi Megan & I am happy to hear your pleased with the new market venture. Are there any others from Shepherdstown Market going down. Is it a one day a weekend event for you? Are you doing Shphrtwn at all this season?
How do you tell if your real player is running slow - the timer? Duh? I am NOT bragging but mine has been up the entire day. Have I told you all lately that I LOVE THE LIVE FEED
Well, looks like no action at this point. Time for me to head home. Will try to get on while at home, and hopefully the live feed will work from there.
Hello Jo-yes, all the other vendors are buddies, all from WV, it will be every Tuesday starting May 20, and I will still do Charlestown on Sat., and Sheptown on Sundays. And yes, you have mentioned That you love the live feed so do I!

Lost me for a bit, noticed the number was getting bigger, but no new messages.
Hi Paula - any after effects from the dental the other day?
INternet problems at work...had to spend 2 1/2 hours fixing it!
Finally on...glad to hear our parents seem restless!
Jo when you look at the Calif. owl cam what do you see?
How did that giant log get in the nest?
Would love to hear our eagle right now...
NO cavities!
Carol - I think that big stick was further towards the cam before
A smaller picture didn't work, I tried replying to an email and that worked. Darn, I wanted to send out a picture of migrating geese. I will try later.
Paula, are you able to decipher the blog at Pete's Pond?
Does it say when the cams will be fixed or replaced?
Also, if you are signed on to that blog, would you ask them why they don't put important information like that on the front page?
[:~)]
Jim
eagle up

quick roll and wiggled back in
Deb. Are you cutting and pasting the address or typing it in? My biggest problem when typing it in is not putting groups after yahoo.
Parent back up again Maybe a spot in the middle egg. Couldnt' tell for sure.
Lolly - send me an email at pccompton@yahoo.com
I'll send you my real player settings...maybe you can check them against yours.
Jill, I just have to click on the address in my mailbox. I thought of that, too. Then I wondered if I goofed up something since I turned off e-mail from the group while I was gone. I think the picture must be too big.
Jo do I have the right Calif. Owl cam. There are 2 owls standing in the box?
Paula, thank you! I have sent an email.
Deb go back and check the settings make sure you are still a member of momsters. If you clicked the wrong thing you might have accidently quit the group.
Dana, I have been watching the two owl cams at Kent.
Deb - there is a filesize limit, but I can't find what it is...
It worked, I was trying to send it too big, I wanted everyone to see how many geese were in one stretch of the Missouri River when I was there on Sunday.
Someone said last night that "Momma Owl" sitting on the "shelf" had two eggs hatched.
Dana sending you an OWL email..
maybe Belle is trying to wiggle the chick out
chicks in view BW
Lolly - mail is on the way...
I was just looking at the hummingbird cam. I think there will be chicks there very soon. The first eggs were laid on Jan 8 and hatchec on Jan 25 (=17 days). The second eggs were laid Feb 24 and Mar 12 is 17 days.
a little bird almost landed on the nest, and Belle snapped at him and he was out of there in a flash

Might have been the same little black bird as the other day... Like you said it looks as though Belle snaps at him and off he goes!
I am also watching the Owl Cam 1 & trying to catch a glimpse under her! 2 eggs have hatched - other 4 should be soon........
Welcome back, Mauley! We have missed you and did you give your son-in-law the big message!!!!
What number was that for them...
I know you have 9 total grandchildren-right?
feeding for 1 of the chicks at BW
Donna, he is adorable!!!!
Mauley just got the email and picture of your newest! God does create beautiful little miracles!
I wish our eagles could move that huge log (branch) away from the egg cup. I was just watching the videos the Lisa put up of the chicks at BWE. They are so cute, trying to hold up their heads and eat.
so much easier on the eyes when the sun goes in watch the cam
The would stand in front, on the side, from the back...right under the cam....I'm sure we will get to see them!
I think it's hard to see anything happening with the eggs from this view....not quite close enough to see the first pecks....
BBL
Do you hear me Belle/Liberty
It's ok to crack that egg
I'm leaving for an hour or two
Eagle at Lake Washington.
Ya'll must have better eye then me...didn't see any little birds...saw a yawn, perhaps...and a bored eagle, LOL. Keeps playing with the fluff.
I'm back, so to get the Live Feed up, just click on the link on the webpage? I just can't get it to work.
I was just lucky, Paula, and happen to be staring at the screen at the time
Blackwater eaglets in view
still 3 eggs
quick egg roll, then up again, changed position and back down...facing noon now
off to get some lunch..later
Fly in our nest more fluff
Both our nest....someone's getting a stick on the back....Lib is leaving...
Move that stick!!
lol...........
They have so much fluff in the nest, it keeps getting stuck in their talons.....Belle moved that stick to the back of the nest now
Belle really wiggles and wiggles and wiggles onto the eggs. Lib just wiggles.
Hi everyone!! We are still in New Mexico. Just saw our first RoadRunner..Funny bird.
HEY WANDA, GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!!!!!! NO CHICK YET:(
LOVE THE ROADRUNNERS....BEEP-BEEP!!!
Eagle on eggs at SR must really be hot. Panting a lot.
Belle still doesn't like that stick so near her. Moving it again.
Hi, Wanda. I haven't seen a roadrunner before.
More adjusting....facing 11 now
head to the SW, Deb, and you will see them
Howdy Wanda - no eaglets yet!
I have been to both New Mexico and Arizona a few times, I must not have been paying attention.
Parent back at BWE.
Hey Wanda. Did you get the newspaper article I emailed?
MITS-Send Belle a memo to face the camera when feeding the little ones. LOL
I was thinking you or Jo or Megan could go shout up to Belle, to back away from the chicks when they arrive, Jill
From the way they are acting maybe I better go down there now and wait. LOL
flash them your badge, Jill
Hello Everyone, beautiful day out today. Ok, I've been gone all day, went to DC to check out the new mkt. location:) I'm back now, so one of those eggs can hatch anytime now!!
how do you like the site, Megan?
Well that explains why the egg didn't hatch, they were waiting for Megan to come back.
That sounds like a great set-up, Megan, being in front of the entrance will be perfect for you.
egg roll, wiggle wiggle, Still see 3 eggs-
that's one fidgety eagle we got on the nest folks! i think they've moved the same batch of fluff all over the egg cup and back again! just NOT satisfied!
Yep, Deb, whole foods is rolling out the red carpet for us, they are really excited to have a farm mkt. right at the store.
yes, thank you, Megan, feeling much better.
I'm glad they are welcoming you, Megan, and I think the community will too.
BWE has some cool video updates on YouTube. Linked from their site. Check it out :)
yes, Mits, they will promote us on website, in paper, and all over the store, and they're even going to have a chef prepare food in the store using our produce to help steer people our way. This is a great opportunity and I plan to take full advantage of it.
i don't think today is Hatching Day, folks :(
The day's not over yet:)
mmm...fresh produce....
i think our eagle has OCD haha
still have 9 hours left in the day:)
Megan, that is a great area to live in....the people will be very happy to see you.
i don't think chicks hatch at night, do they??
I hope so, now I just gotta figure out how to get there-took the metro today.
clear view of egg cup -- three whole eggs :(
Yup, lots of checking going on
BW chicks eating the bloody stuff again
How do chicks know if it is night or day? HUMMMM
It is what it is, a rather smart fellow once said...they'll hatch when it's time:) think positive and don't stress.
Megan, you are absolutely right. It is what it is!!!
I'll sit here to the cows come home, but nothing will get done around here if I do.
I'm thinking about taking a panda nap, and if I hear my e-mail alert going off like crazy, I know something is happening
What time will the cows be home??
tee-hee, where have I heard that before:):):)
they usually show up around 7:30p.m.....and dinner will be ready for them, but nothing else, still not doing laundry yet, the big guy is doing that still.
also unloaded the dishwasher in the a.m. and setting up the coffee pot
Great news, Megan. Which Whole Foods store is it?
Hello Carol:) It is the Tenleytown Whole Foods, great location, and what a beautiful store. I could've spent a fortune in there.
that's right Tenleytown, been sitting here trying to get my 2 brain cells to work and could not remember which place it was.
very busy metro spot, Megan
Yep, metro entrance is right there by the store.
Not sure where that one is. There's a new one right off I66 near the Fair Oaks exit. It also is rather impressive. Half of it is carry-out food bars. Yummy yummy foods.
My computer is running slower than usual today and messing up my live feed.
A juvenile eagle was in the nest at NBG again, it is a beautiful bird. There are a couple of pictures of it at the VDGIF site.
Two eagles in the LIbby nest!
Carol, the Whole Foods that Megan will be at is in DC
Sharon, I have re-booted 3 times today, because the live-feed was running so slow
Our previous hatchings in 2006 were 37, 38 and 36 days respectively for eggs 1, 2 and 3
Sooo, I agree, sit tight. No need to panic.
Really hard to see anything on that egg roll
I was thinking the same thing.
Those chicks will get real tired of all that rockin' and rollin' and be out very soon!
Hi ya'll!
They are going to come out drunk and stagger around the nest if she keeps that up. LOL
Hey Danelle!
NBG is back up with an eagle on the branch.
Hello, Danelle
It can take from twelve to forty-eight hours to hatch after making the first break in the shell (pipping).
Howdy Danelle!
Sharon like your new pic "pretty"
Thanks Deb for the pics at DFIG. Megan it surely sounds like a good spot. With them already feeling happy about you coming there. Sounds really good ... GOOD LUCK !! ( :
Fixing early dinner bbl
ARe those BW chicks eating again! :)
Thanks, Dana-fix me a plate.
I would think some people are experiencing live feed slow downs because of all the hits I suspect the live feed is getting so close to hatching.
MOVE YOUR BUTT BELLE, LET US SEE!
Let me see down in there...
I see 2
Too much fluff WOW digging down
Still can only see 2
Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle
Now fill in the fluff that was just pulled back..............
COME ON OUT BOBBLE HEAD
Hi Megan & I am happy to hear your pleased with the new market venture. Are there any others from Shepherdstown Market going down. Is it a one day a weekend event for you?

gorgeous eagle at NBG
Hello Jo-yes, all the other vendors are buddies, all from WV, it will be every Tuesday starting May 20, and I will still do Charlestown on Sat., and Sheptown on Sundays. And yes, you have mentioned That you love the live feed so do I!
Jo Do you like the live feed????? LOL.
When mine slows down it looks like it is skipping or choppy not smooth movements.
I LOVE THE LIVE FEED!
ME, TOO! both eagles at NBG.
Yes 2 at NBG - one on limb and ONE SITTING IN NEST!!!!!
Hanky Panky at NBG!
I was hoping that the one in the nest might be on an egg. Guess thay haven't gotten to that stage yet!
Eagle in Lake Washington!
Going out to eat....... BBL
Heading home...
I think Jo cooks about as much as I do. LOL. Don't blame her.
Both eagles in our nest!
Both our nest! dinner is served
Oh, I want sound! They're talking.
It was a quick visit.
Both eagles in NBG nest.
Whatever was for dinner was small and looked like it was wiggling. Also looked like it went down in one gulp.
Eagle in Kent 2 nest, you just see the top of its head.
Yep, Carol it looked like sushi:)
Eagle in Maine nest, Kent 2 moved up to Kent 1.
looks like it may be a little breezy out in Kent
The feathers are really blowing, aren't they?
NBG eagles just mated again. Poor birds can't get any privacy:)
Both eagles in Lake Washington.
I just want them to lay another egg, after everything that happened. They are sure giving it a good try!
I thought the Kent eagle left, but it is back down in the nest.
Was there a switch?
NEW TUESDAY P.M. THREAD IS UP:)
Yes there was a switch - down the hatch that fish went! Gulp!
Both our nest.
Belle came back in. Had to rearrange some stuff then wiggle wiggle wiggle. Don't think she got the memo about letting us see the eggs Mits.
Looks like some farmer is missing a bale of hay with all the fluff in the nest.
THERE IS A NEW THREAD
COME ON OVER
