No, Anne, there is no problem because we didn't have a hatch this weekend...I think most of us think this weekend would have been on the very earliest side of the hatching dates...Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday would be more likely

As I have been reading blog, I see we don't have a hatching yet And you poor people that got lost in the split. If you had let me know I could have had my husband call out the jColington Fire Dept from the beach that he belongs to and get you out. I guess your fire dept. did ok tho.

I would have liked to be with Jim and Karen with their nice warm weather today. I looked like an idiot in Winchester, as I was the only one it seemed walking around in a winter coat. They think the forties is like springtime.m and I was freezing;
Went to Olive Garden to wind up our weekend up here. Will start back for the Outer Banks after eating breakfast with Josh at the Cracker Barrel. that has been tradition.

Well Lolly, this is my twenty fifth year in K. Mayabe you and I should open up a preschool! I really wish I was a little younger so I could keep going for many more years, but then again, I want to be able to get on with these people full time and enjoy. I have maybe a year to go yet and can't wait to be on here full time. I have learned soooooo much and seen so much; it has just been a wonderful experience.

Candy, I don't wear a coat until it gets in the 20's. OR very windy like last night. Remember laying in the sun in college when it was 50. No I don't do that anymore. LOL Was a very sunny day here. Not too bad.
Dana-The wind last night destroyed the sign at the Sprint store by the mall, knocked it completely down.
I feel like I have a life again. My first grandson was born 5 months after I retired. I love being able to help out with them when needed. I retired early as Jack retired the same year. We now travel, read, babysit, garden, sleep in. Retirement is wonderful!

JO my future DIL is graduating from East Carolina in Greenville, NC this May. She is home now on spring break. So this was the last birthday as a single for Josh, and thanks, we did have a wonderful weekend with him. There is sad part and a good part for me. The happy part for me is, I think he will be moving back to NC after they get married, BUT out in the middle of the state somewhere. His future is from the beach area and Mom lives just up the road a little in Currituck co. The sad part is that he will no longer live in the beautiful Shennandoah Valley and close to our eagles. It will ge a hard time for him as he will be finding a new job and starting over. The nice part for me will be that they will be closer to home than he is now.
Hi Jill! Got on the live feed this evening. Tried on and off all day. Finally, just walked off leaving real player loading. Sometime later walked back in and WHOA, I had a picture. I may never turn it off!!!!
Thanks Jo for the info, but I'm not touching his puter any more than I have to. Tomorrow night I will be back on my own. I was so glad that he asked me if I wanted to use it. I was brought up on the times when youo didn't mess around with anything that wasn't yours.

Lolly, the way you and others talk about your retirement, it sounds better and better all the time.
JILL You people up here must be one sturdy bunch. I guess I have been in the south too long. I think it will be 26 years this July. We get cold at the Outer Banks, but not for long stretches of time do we go into the 20's; Maybe the 30's.
Going to take a break - don't know how long it will take me to get use to the time change. Didn't take long when I was still working... With no set schedule I don't know how long it's going to take!
May get ready for bed and force myself to go after our 11:00 news.
Well, we have to be up early tomorrow. We are supposed to stop outside Richmond and have lunch with friends of ours from the Outer Banks. amd then head for the beach. All seems quiet in the animal world.

Candy I used to live near Norma, up in the mountains then went to school farther up in the mountains. Used to spent my winters in the MTs and summers at the beach as my parents were both from DE. Never learned to ski but I did surf a little when I was younger. Not many good waves that far north tho. Funny I don't mind the heat either. Anything above 20 and lower than 100, I am okay with.
Lolly, I leave mine up all the time now. Seems like almost everytime I shut it down I have a pain trying to get it back..

Lolly, Hooray for you!! How long did you leave it on to "Load"? I tried that & went away for about 15minutes & it was still doing the 1/2 circle of spokes on right side of the word Real. On the bottom left corner it flips back & forth from "loading" to the Eagle Cam address.

An exciting Basketball day here....sons team won as well, they play in the MAAC conference championship game tomorrow night on ESPN2 - Rider Vs Sienna - Root for Rider!!!
He's on the bus and headed back to NJ from Albany.
Our problems sound exactly the same. I think I was away for about 45 minutes. I really do not know though when it started up. I have tried that before and it did not work. Keep trying!
If it says loading and doesn't have a percentage beside it after a few seconds,it probably won't load.
LOL Jo, my time is all screwed up - was not the day to sleep in late! I ate breakfast at 3pm and dinner at 9pm - still ready to do stuff- hopefully I can get to bed by midnight!

I did see it the first day, but that was on the older Real in the 'puter. Like a dummy I dwnlded the new one!

I down loaded several times. That did not work. I just do not know what the problem could be. Talked with an "expert", but he was no help. Did say he had some diagnostic tools if we want him to come out. He is a friend, but not going to have him drive over as we are out a ways.

I had trouble getting the real player to work. I have firefox & I knew I recently did an Upgrade on the real player. I had to get my grandson (IT knowledge) to fix mine. I have a
Media Player Classic ... no problem since he worked on it.
The times that mine just said loading with no percentage it did not load. I noticed when it says % it seems to load everytime.

Tried to make comments about the baby owls and couldn't, but I'm back now.
Momma owl is back now, but while the babies were uncovered I tried to count them. No luck! I just love watching her try to keep them covered. Wish it was live feed.

Got an email reply from Dr. Sharpe at Channel Islands. He estimates Mar. 26 for the 1st egg and the 30th for the 2nd of eagles #10 and #26 at PH so Paula was right. #10 (male) seems to be on the nest more than #26. Wish they had infrared so we could see at night like NCTC. Oh well, maybe someday :) They sleep mostly at night anyway LOL!

Okay Belle just gave me a heart attack. As I brought the camera back up, she was rolling the eggs. One looked like it had a dark spot on it. After I rewound it, I figured out it was something on one of her talons. Live feed with rewind is great.

Good morning, world. I see we still don't have a baby at our nest yet. I was kinda thinking one would hatch yesterday, but guess not. Glad to see they made it through the horrible wind storm Friday, and we had flurries Sat, but just little flurries. Adult eagle on BW chicks, cam is fuzzy, so I'm thinking rain drops? Had some serious rain over the weekend. But... not too bad today, no wind, and 23° in PA, 33° here in VA, so not really bad. Had to scrape my car this morning. Ugh. I'm ready for Spring!
All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Our eagle just woke up, turning eggs. Can see eggs, don't see any fuzzies.
Darn, brought Norfolk up and don't see an eagle in the nest, so guess we don't have an egg there. Hopefully soon!

Then it looked like she put some more fluff on top of the eggs and settled back down again. I am so glad you reran it and saw it wasn't anything. Then I could go back to slep.

Well, Josh has finally come back from the gym. He meets a friend there every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings to work out at 5 am. He must be nuts, but that is the only time they can do it. I can think of better things to do with my time at that hour. SLEEP!

We don't have any chick yet, s/he has been up a couple times, and eggs are intact. Thought sure one would hatch yesterday, but guess not. They'll hatch when they're ready, I guess.
LOL, I'm with you, Candy! I would be sleeping if I could!! Had a terrible time going to sleep last night with the time change. My BR has a west window, so it stays light until the sun goes down. Hard to get used to every year.

SIZAMME. The only thing I like about the time change is that I can come home from work and have some daylight time left to do things. I can imagine how had it is for you to get to sleep with it still being daylight out, and then having to get up and drive to work the way you do. Now you know why we all worry about your goings and comings.
