One of the sleeping chicks just spread its wing over the others. It's amazing how long its wing is! Boy - they grow fast. Not surprising tho, considering how much and often they eat!
Well - I just happened to log on and saw there was a new thread and logged onto it. After a while I figured that you guys were chatting away on the old one and didn't know about the new one.
I had no idea the chicks peep in the egg! Maybe that's why the parents look closely at the eggs right before they hatch. I wonder how soon before they hatch they start peeping. Just think - nobody (or very few) knew the things we are learning before these webcams. I'm sure that even scientists are learning new things from the cams.
I can get ya a pair of those, Mits. They are standard issue on Frederick County Ambulances...I thought they were pretty cool when I first saw them too.
I see I think it is Tess up on the top of the nest tree lol Oro is really flapping those wings. I'll have to read back after fixing dinner to see if there has been a fledge.
Thanks for the photo comments. It is a close-up of an eaglet. I can't remember where I got it. I had it as my desktop photo for a while. It's a little scary when it is that big.
usually tenting is for weather protection, mantling means, stay away from my food, but guess you can use both terms for protection and not sharing food
I can't stay but I had to tell you all this. In our newspaper today there was an article about a woman swerved to miss a squirrel. She hit a car head on. Out of the 4 people 3 were taken to hospital with non -life threatening injuries. It is the last paragraph that got me here it is: Accourding to police, the squirrel that caused the accident later attemped to cross US 40 again and was eventually struck by a vehicle. Are you ready for the last line??? It was pronounced deeased at the scene, police said.
I do too Mits...after a rain I am always going outside and looking for a rainbow. One time I seen a double rainbow that was something. Have you ever seen a double?
Jo, Last couple times I saw WildWatch osprey cam, it had tiny notice saying "that was probably food debris on lens & not much action can be taken until young fledge."!!!! Maybe they'll get a good rain!
The notice on the WildWatch Osprey cam has been there since day 1. I don't think that anyone off season is around to get up there & clean it. Maybe a good rain will do it!
Hi all just checked in after a long day of working outside since we have some sun for once! lol Anyway i see that your sound is back and of course it's my luck that it's nite nite time. That's okay though just glad to be able to hear again. Have to go cook dinner now, check back a little later. Oh by the way the maine nest looks very nice. Dad did some heavy duty work on it, looks nice and pretty! Also it's empty! beginning to think that nothing is going to happen there. I hope I'm wrong. Catch you later, Karen in WA
HOPE this posts. Blogger cop has been after me all afternoon and I just lurked. Paula loved the clips thanks so much. Mits will you get Glo's wet noodle and get after the cop. Thanks for letting me know that tiny got fed. Sweet dreams of eagles and eaglets, dear ones. donna
Evening, all :-) I see the egg at PH has not yet hatched. Thought I had seen dad moving some eggshell but then I witnessed the changing of the guard and both eggs were quite visible :-( so I guess I was wrong about the eggshell.
Paula...your videos are great as usual :-) Oopsie Poopsie cracked me up! LOL!
I've always wondered what Dad's responce was when they said, "the baby is coming" and it is April 1st. But then he was born on April 1st so I guess he didn't think they were kidding.
Morning, world. Fog, rain and sprtzers, but wet. Wind is blowing a bit too. Not so cold out though, 53° in PA, 52° in VA. Both Belle and Lady BW are on the side of their chicks, chicks are getting too big to be under mom now. Too cute. See we have another thread, have to go see what I missed. I do see the ospreys had 3 in the nest together, yesterday. Here we go again. Maybe they'll just decide to get along from the first and let it go at that. Worked for the eagles in Catalina Island, so who knows? In any case, I hope whichever ospreys decide to settle there have a successful year! We do not want a repeat of last year!! All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Early Monday morning, shortly after I booted up, my XP Pro crashed totally for the first time in the 3.5 yrs. I've had this computer!
Long story short, Windows is restored, but I lost essentially all my files, and I'm not even half way to reloading the essentials. And I'm getting tired now. [:~)]
Have a great day ... just heard Belle making sounds and looked. She might be looking for an intruder again.
Good morning, Jim. Sleep well. Sorry your computer crashed, that's never a good thing. Hope you can get all your files, software, and favorites back! Back ups are wonderful things, and sometimes you really need them. Belle is now sleeping, head under wing. Lady BW is awake and looking around. ME is MT, and I lost NBG a little while ago. I can get it till about 5 or 5:30, then lose it, so usually just close it for the day. Someone was in the nest, though. Oh, it just came back. How cool! Think we lost the 3 osprey eggs at Hilton Head. Guy on their blog said as of the 31st, neither parent was interested in actually sitting on the eggs. Both just standing on side of nest and looking at them. He also said it was quite cold there, so I'm thinking the eggs are no longer viable. That's a shame, would have been a really neat nest to watch osprey babies! Pleasant dreams, Jim. Gotta get on other computer for a bit.
Good Morning Suzanne Things here are a little wet, with lots of rain. I am ready for some good weather with some sun.The Eagles here are doing ok,they have young but how many i am not sure. The DNR is going to do a eagle check this week and do a fly over so i can get some photos of the nest from the air and maybe see the young eaglets. You have a great day Indiana Nesting Eagles----Dave
Good morning Suz. Starting to work now! Belle slept for at least a little while during the night with the babies laying beside her. That was about 2:30 this morning. Dogs had to go out so I was checking things out.
Morning, new eagle dad Dave, and Sharon and Megan. Dave, can't wait to see your aerial pics! That will be so cool! Sharon, Belle didn't get much sleep after I logged on. She was mostly awake, but did get a couple naps. Think they all got something to eat for breakfast this morning. The little 'un was right up front.
BW kids are BOTH getting fed this morning. One moved over to the other side of mom, so all she had to do was move her head right to left. She just now took off. Very quick feeding, tho.
Good morning everyone. I am up early today with a bad headache so this won't be a day like yesterday at all. I am glad to read that Breakfast has een served to all though. That is always GREAT news. Gonna fix smething to eat and medicate this head with something strong I have to go in to owrk tonight.
Morning, Candy! Glad you could get on the blog. And I guess, welcome back to the grind! Those Mondays roll around very fast, don't they??? Our kids had breakfast this morning, as did the BW chicks. BW's breakfast was kinda quick though, but at least they both got something to eat! If I don't get to talk to you, have a great day.
Glad to hear that our favorite eaglets got fed already this am; Little Bit too.
It sounds as if you have the sound up again. Do you? I'll have to hurry home tonight and get on. I was just too tired last night, but I did read the days blog.
Yeah, Candy, that would have been a cool site to watch the babies! Awesome cam view. Morning, Glo. Sorry to hear you have a horrible headache. Hope you're feeling better real soon!

Whoa - am I first? If so - first time ever!
It's so good to hear our babes again!

Congrats Carol:)- I love your pic-its sooo cute.
Well - I just happened to log on and saw there was a new thread and logged onto it. After a while I figured that you guys were chatting away on the old one and didn't know about the new one.
Egg Moving
Hi Carol congtrs for being 1st ( :
Hi everyone coming over....( :
Carol isn't sound just wonderful hee hee
love the egg movement...would like a pair of the lavender-colored gloves:)
Yeah - Dana - has anyone recently said "I love live video with audio!" ILLVWA!
Good to see Carol and all her followers over here!
The videos are really good.
Keep bringing them over as I never did download neokast
kewl, Paula....
looks like Humpback Harry at BWO
Carol I do so love your picture
Back down the eaglet landed in the nest at Tesoro.
check the radar and there is rain in the area around the nest. tenting going on
Got to fix dinner bbl
Those videos were AWESOME
Guess it is raining! We just had hail and sirens for a tornado warning. All has passed us now.:)
Thanks for the photo comments. It is a close-up of an eaglet. I can't remember where I got it. I had it as my desktop photo for a while. It's a little scary when it is that big.
Such a good momma taking care of her babies!
Yeah, not a downpour, but a steady rain. Doesn't look like it will last long.
Big tenting going on in our nest
Our parents take such good care of their little family! One of them is doing a major mantling right now. Beautiful!!
Do the terms "tenting" and "mantling" mean the same?
Someone last year called them "mumbrellas" :)
No Carol, What you see now is tenting.
Mantling does look very similar, but occurs when food is brought into the nest and the eagle "mantles" over it, to claim it and protect it as theirs.
Watch out for the blogger cop!!
usually tenting is for weather protection, mantling means, stay away from my food, but guess you can use both terms for protection and not sharing food
looks like a hood ornament
Paula - thanks for the clarification. It makes sense.
That is a great shot, I'd take a pic if I could open the 30 sec. cam page.
Thanks, Mits, too.
showers just about out of the area.
She looks like an angel!
yeah, Megan, we never did get a response to our inquiries about that situation
MT nest at BWO
She'd stay there for hours if she had to. I love these creatures!
Parent was just at BWE
Think the kids are having a party under there...
Heading home, cu later!!
Me too - later...
Nuts!! Didn't know there was another thread. Was busy attaching more pics for another set here. It's called "Other Fishermen". LOL
Gotta go to kitchen/dinner duty BBL
Peek a Boo!
The way 26 was staring at those eggs, I thought for sure one was hatching, but she just rolled both of them.
Belle flew out of the nest-
Ow- tiny got a peck to the head and I heard it-everyone is flattened except the queen bee of course-
Oh, #1 is being so aggressive- pecking and pushing around the others.
Maybe Belle told them to behave-all are laying flat now.
Feeding at BW.
Feeding at BWE.
Deb - the chick inside the egg was
saying Roll Me Over Please.......
I can't stay but I had to tell you all this. In our newspaper today there was an article about a woman swerved to miss a squirrel. She hit a car head on. Out of the 4 people 3 were taken to hospital with non -life threatening injuries. It is the last paragraph that got me here it is:

It was pronounced deeased at the scene, police said.
deceased
Then he said, LET ME OUT!
No leftovers at BWE, must have been another tiny fish.
DANA, you need to send that to Jay Leno for his Headlines
maybe they are on the WEIGHT WATCHERS EAGLE diet
Parent back at BWE, 10 flew in PH.
both our nest
Eagle back and feeding...looks like the older two are full, and tiny is getting fed
Cool, both adults our nest.
And Mom just arrived too
poor middy is afraid to come up
Sorry, that looks like Lib that came in second
they work well together
Everyone is getting fed now
Full House! Good Food & lots of it!
my dog says he could do without the sound, but that sures makes this cam even greater. What a wonderful sight to watch. These 3 are really thriving.
love it when everyone is in the nest
Belle looks like he needs a day at the eagle spa
what the heck is she looking for?
Must be getting new flooring just like Candy did! lol
that's she not he.
And that's not she that's he. Belle on the right now, Lib on the left
Stopped back by for a second. On the Tesoro if you stare ate the picture. There is a rainbow starting at the right edge of nest upward. Pretty bbl
Belle is settling the chicks in, Lib is cleaning up nestovers
That would make a pretty picture if I knew how to take a picture from wmp but I don't. Ok bbl
I see it Dana - Thank you!
Belle is going to suffocate those babies as she tries to keep them dry.
Rainbow looks prettier now....I'll send you a pic, Dana.
BBL this evening
that was pretty at Tesoro, love rainbows
Hi everyone I'm back for awhile
Oh I'll have to check mail ( :
There are two osprey in the Wildwatch nest.
At Tesoro the one in the nest is Tess they just move in close and I got to see the antenna.
4:00pm this afternoon NO hatching on the CO eagle's nest. You can see all 3 eggs.
I do too Mits...after a rain I am always going outside and looking for a rainbow. One time I seen a double rainbow that was something. Have you ever seen a double?
Dana - just sent the mail!
Belle up and shaking off the wet
I've seen a double & it just takes your breath away.
There has been an ant traveling around on the Tesoro cam at times today. lol
tenting again
I wish they could clean off the screen at the osprey nest on WildWatch.
The geese are still on the CO nest(looking at the daily pics)
One little squirrel on PA wild life
Jo, Last couple times I saw WildWatch osprey cam, it had tiny notice saying "that was probably food debris on lens & not much action can be taken until young fledge."!!!! Maybe they'll get a good rain!
Even though it is raining (drizzling) it is 50° at the nest.
yes, Dana several times, one was the night before my son and d-i-l got married as we were coming out of the chapel after rehearsal
The notice on the WildWatch Osprey cam has been there since day 1. I
don't think that anyone off season is around to get up there & clean it. Maybe a good rain will do it!
Tomorrow is April Fool's Day
Don't let anyone get you!!!
Nature that sign has been there since last year. Ya think they would have cleand the screen before this season
Deer in the rain in the woods in PA
Make that 2 deers
Make that 3 deers
Any more come on and we'll make it
a herd of deers.......
I think the one deer is our "bum leg" one.. And now there is a whole herd.....
It only took me 2 hours to find this new thread. I am doing good.
Awww poor Belle looks so wet. I am glad it is warm there. Maybe it feels kind of like a warm bath to wash off any misdirected poop shoots.
Well it took all day but I finally got the live feed up. Now if this will post on the first try I will be very happy
Did you capture that misdirected shoot from the little one..? Didn't that happen once before at the Hancock nest?
So glad you are HAPPY Jill!
Welcome!

Raccoons are on parade at the PA
wild life cam
Still no chick yet at PH...
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE April 1st tomorrow....WATCH OUT!!
I see some wiggles in front of Belle or Lib hee hee
Evening, all :-) I see the egg at PH has not yet hatched. Thought I had seen dad moving some eggshell but then I witnessed the changing of the guard and both eggs were quite visible :-( so I guess I was wrong about the eggshell.
Paula...your videos are great as usual :-) Oopsie Poopsie cracked me up! LOL!
My Dad and My Sister where born on April 1st truly
Well that was nice thing to happen on April 1st, Dana
I've always wondered what Dad's responce was when they said, "the baby is coming" and it is April 1st. But then he was born on April 1st so I guess he didn't think they were kidding.
I think the osprey dragging the other osprey with the fish is the "funniest one"...I like the other also.
Still 2 eggs at PH/SC 26 just got up turned eggs and is settling back down on them.
Eagle was at Kent 2, now in Kent 1.
I'm going to say good nite all. See you all tomorrow ... sleep well.
Good Night Everyone!
Peace to You & Yours
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Belle is up, kids keep waking her.
I just watched your videos, Paula, great job. I loved the fluff one. Thanks for the osprey one, too, how funny!
Kent eagle is barely visible in the fog.
Night all, TTUT
Good night, eagle friends!
Surprised to see Belle up! What's up?
Belle was doing a little nestoration and now she is alert and looking around.
Looks like she is going to settle down. Wind is really blowing and saw the kids stir a little.
Belle just woke up, she's just standing there looking around. Babies still sound asleep.
A quick "good morning/good night" to you Suzanne.
Jim
Good Morning Suzanne Things here
are a little wet, with lots of rain.
I am ready for some good weather
with some sun.The Eagles here are
doing ok,they have young but how
many i am not sure. The DNR is
going to do a eagle check this
week and do a fly over so i can
get some photos of the nest from
the air and maybe see the young
eaglets.
You have a great day
Indiana Nesting Eagles----Dave
Good morning Suz. Starting to work now! Belle slept for at least a little while during the night with the babies laying beside her. That was about 2:30 this morning. Dogs had to go out so I was checking things out.
Breakfast time, tiny is right up front:)
GOOD EAGLE MORNING TO JIM, DAVE, SUZANNE AND MEGAN!!!! I am excited as I came into school and got right on the blog. Wonders will never ceast.
I see our nest is settled down and sleeping. Moma just left the BW nest. Haven't looked anyplace else this am yet. No time.
GOOD MORNING ALSO TO SHARON.
DAVE Glad to hear your nest is still doing well. Can't wait for the flyover to see how many little chicks you have in your nest.
SUZANNE, sorry to hear we may have lost the Hilton Head ospry eggs. Parents.
It is sprinkling here today AGAIN today and cloudy out, but not as cold.

Well People are starting to come in, so I had better hide this for now. Maybe I can get back on after school while I am waiting to go.
Thanks for saying HI to the class DEB, but I couldn't get the blog up yesterday, but we were watching pics.
You all have a good eagle/osprey/panda/kestral/falcon watching day. Lucky ducks. BBL
NEW THREAD. COME ON OVER. HOLDING DOOR OPEN FOR ALL TO JOIN ME! :)
