Both Belle and Liberty were there, but stayed only a few minutes. Was my first sighting since the new cam was installed. Very exciting.

I was trying to figure out how to send you photos all at one time. I am just not a photo email person! I just don't have enough time to work on things like that. Maybe this winter when I have nothing else to do, I will get the hang of it.
THANKS WANDA FOR THE HEADS UP. Bai and Squiggles are having fun together; picking her up and down and just playing. Poor Squiggles just lays there and takes it. I have been trying to watch Pete's Pond to see Jim's elephants, but so far only say alligators, grouse, gizelles and now ostriches.

Yes, Dana, and so have Mei and Tian when they are playing. They have all been quite active now that the weather has cooled a bit. Plus the staff keeps changing them from yard to yard, so they are not bored.
Just thought I saw a shadow fly over the nest.

Is anyone else having any problems with the stink bugs this year? I have never seen so many and they are driving me nuts as my cats are behaving very insane trying to get them only to jump back when the stinkers stink them lol.
I have my shop vac aimed and ready to suck them up but every one I get 2 more appear. My sis in law and my friend have the same problem, eww is all I can say.
Stink bugs.....lol I was going to ask someone about them but didn't know their correct name. Here is the good part - If I touch them-they stink! If hubby touches them-they don't!

Mits, it's a hard shelled medium size flying bug - like a beetle sorta. I say they are triangular shape. Like I said, I can't describe it very well.
But they are true to their name as Robyn and I call them Stink Bugs.

I really thought I commented this morning after I got up again around 9 am, but I don't see any on this thread.
I was up in the middle of the night and awake, but after I was on here for a while, I suddenly felt the urge (like somebody hit me in the head with a wooden hammer), and I crashed again.
It rained pretty hard during the night, and it's still trying to make up its mind whether to rain some more or clear up.... We can use the rain here, so nobody quit rain dancing. OK?

I don't like them Jo, they find their way into my room and try to fly with the ceiling fan only to be hit and hit me yuck yuck.
They are all over my screens, I wonder if it is the farms near me that are causing them or the woods. I never seen this many before.

paper is slowing forming but stress is forming faster, tori wants me to come over, my nephews want to come here, so I stopped and decided to put new songs on my ipod then go see T and maybe go see some friends or a while. Then get back to my paper and burn the midnight oil.
Apparently, there are several kinds of "stink bugs"...the ones you describe are not at all like the stink bugs we had around Del Mar. I googled them and here's one that's much closer to what we had.
If this kind flies, I have never seen it, but they can be seen trundling around the area everywhere in the country. If they're threatened, the butt comes up in the air, and they spray a really nauseous substance at the attacker.

JIM, you and my hubby must be suffering the same ailment. He can fall asleep at night right away, sleep for about 4 hours, then toss and turn the rest of the night.
Norma-true to form, WVU teed up for the 2 1/2 kick off and they called me to work. Saw the final score.
Doesn't look like I am going to get anything decent to eat tonight. Are tootsie rolls and peanuts good options for dinner?

I thought that Frodo had been on those eggs a very long time; however, I don't think that the cam is updating. Well all went blue and then I hit refresh and the timer has gone up 5 min and it does look like Frodo is still there.

No Wanda there is no scheduled cruise at this time. I am working on Alexandria and a couple of other places but not sure best time to do last cruise for Iris's Cruise. Some evening next week is my guess, Won't be Tues. Will post info on forum and also remind on Blog the day of cruise.

WANDA I am so glad you got to see them. Last night i waited from six and missed them both in the nest. Only got to see the last one remaining in the nest. I have a hard time telling them apart too. I thought Belle was the larger of the two from listing to the blog.

Well, darn I saw one in the nest briefly, then she was gone and as soon as I walk outside, one comes back. Where did Paula go? I was hoping she was coming this way with a mop. Robyn was talking about stink bugs earlier, they are everywhere this year. Jim's picture is a beetle, these are stinkbugs, not in the beetle family at all.They don't spray anything smelly, they stink when you squash them -PU- I still don't understand how you can post a link like that in you entry, and Jim didn't use the tiny url thing did he? Is there an explanation computer dummies can understand? I want to be able to do that...waaaahhh
MITS I don't like to hear it is still 92 at your place. I cleaned house today and the sweat just poured off me. It got soooo hot in here, but I figured my husband would get mad if I turned the air on again. I can tell you one thing, I am going in to get a shower and wash my hair, and if it is still this hot here, the air goes ON; husband or not.
