Yes to be honest with you even though learning and touring Istanbul and other ports of call is fun an dinteresting I would much rather be heading for Ketchican myself. One of these days I am going to do that if I can possibly work it out!!!
Next cruise in Eagle Cam chat will be Wed or Thurs night at 8 pm Eastern time. I am aiming for Wed if I can get it done, so much to share with all of you who want to know.
I am sorry you can't see the cams Suzanne That would drive me nuts faster than I am heading that way on my own LOL.
Iris will be boarding her ship on the Bosphorus at 3 pm Sept 14. Right now she is touring and enjoying Istanbul. They are 5 hours ahead of us timewise. So it will be like 10 am your time. That will be fun to try to watch if we remember and can catch it.

Too funny I am no longer spending my day up a tree. I am now on two ships at the same time and watching Istanbul. Who'd have thought that Lib and Belle would branch us out this way.
Of course I do have plenty of room for a nest in the Sycamore tree and in fact like many of you, I do check frequently just in case

I am hoping that there is another CUB EXAM this week sometime and that the VETS let us know about our little one's gender.

The sites last evening from the cruise and the landmarks in Istanbul were something I could only hope to see with the help of technology!
It was really educational and so very enjoyable. Traveling with such a happy group as we had was wonderful!

GOOD MONDAY A.M. EVERYONE Hope you all have a good week:).
Remember Sharon's Candles...lets keep some lit for her all this week. She has such a difficult road to travel right now. The candles stay lit for 48 hours. I am saving each candle for her as best I can find them as they are lit. The sight scatters them around so it can be a little challenging. I just think she may want them in the future as something tangible from her Feathered Friends.

I think it is a headless blue heron. Don't know of anything else that looks like that. Hard to identify without a head.

Jo,you can see the cam on cruise-addicts. com for anne marie. Sure wish I was there. We flew up to fairbanks and came down on the midnight express train to denali stayed over then on to anchorage overnight then on to girwood overnight. From there we went to seward and a cruise on the Kenai fjords before boarding ship home. Would love to go back again. Such great memories. I think maybe anne will be stopping different then what I said. Coming back we stopped at sitka, juneau and ketchikan but think she will stop first at ketchikan. Wish I could have fit in her suitcase.

We are still docked - I see movement every now and then of the vehicles there on the dock. I think around 7:00 the ship departs and heads for Sitka.

Anne's ship should be leaving around 10 our time, will be at sea tomorrow, and Sitka on Wednesday.

It is light in Alaska for the same reason it was light in Finland all the time a couple weeks ago. During parts of the year they have sun for 24 hours. Others times darkness.
