I hope all had a good time with Glo on the cruise last night. I had fallen in school yesterday, and I didn't feel much like getting on the blog. I have all my teeth and bones unfractured, but face is pretty swollen on my left side. Now I have to go to school looking like I have been to WANDA'S costume shop. Other that swollen face, aches from aftermath and a bruised finger and wrist. I am still alive and kicking. Tripped over a chair when I was in a rush. :( I know better.
So Jim is senting out resumes. I guess he isn't ready to be idle yet. Me neither, but if I keep being so clumsy they will probably try and retire me. :( I'm going to slow down.
JIM good luch with your job shopping. For me, school keeps me active instead of reading and laying around all day.

Bai is back, so there goes our view of Squiggles. She's gonna nurse, but Bai has her back to the cam. Darn.
Both eagles still hanging out, female still eating.
Well, probably, Wanda. Working on cleaning up the garden yesterday. When temps are this cold at night, plants don't grow, so things are really slowing down. Probably my last mkt. for a while this past Sunday. Time to work at the orchard for the month of Oct., and then start getting ready to make CHristmas wreaths.

I like the shot of Squiggles just now. She looks as if she is trying to make a tunnel in the straw.

Megan, did you find that your flowers didn't do as well as in other years? Mine were a disappointment. My Trumpet Vines didn't bloom at all and you know how hardy they are.
Wanda, I can't see Squiggles. Looks like Bai is holding her while she nurses, maybe on right side. Can't tell. Could see her a little before she started nursing, but think Bai was playing the roll the Squiggles game before she feeds the little princess. This cam view is up close, but unless either is right in front of the cam, can't see much.
Did you see that? The male eagle jumped over and is now gonna help mrs eagle finish her fish. Cute. I think she's letting him.

Hello Suzanne and Robyn. Yep, Wanda, worst growing season I've ever had. I gave up on a lot of crops, couldn't get them to grow even with all the water I was giving them. Our moon vine just started blooming 2 nights ago, and of course now it's too cold at night for the blooms to open all the way.
Sorry the growing season wasn't good for you MEGAN, but glad it wasn't just me. I guess it was the heat, because I watered the plants on the deck faithfully and they just didn't do well. I planted a new type of Morning Glory (red, double) and it just started bloom last week. It is beautiful but the blooms are very few and far between.

Both eagles still hanging out in BW, and Bai and Squiggles sleeping. Bonaire cams are all up, and the reef cam sure has a lot of colorful fish. Donkeys are eating breakfast, and a couple people are filling their water, I think. The other Bonaire underwater cam has lots of fish also. Peggy's Cove looks like a beautiful fall day.
Back to work for me...
Yep, SUZ, no restrictions for JO and so now she wants to climb that red ladder that is leaning up against the Sycamore tree!lol
Another chilly 58 here in the valley to start the day. Candy, take care and Don't Rush! I checked Anne's position and she should be Almost Home! Her bridge cam is on & hopefully the light of the dawn will let us see when she gets into port.

Megan I noticed that the pumpkin patches here are opening around the 22nd of this month. When does your's start? Robyn needs a place to pick good baking apples - maybe you can get her to come over to the orchard!
Bai just yawned, and got up and left. Squiggles is sleeping, but she's up by the time, and you can't see all of her.

Jo, you can see (barely) red lights in the distance on the horizon of Anne's ship. She's coming into port, but it will be a while yet. Only noticed cause the cam is totally pitch black like it was earlier.

Ya Ya or Le Le (?) is on the Memphis panda cam eating away at lots of bamboo. Bai & Squiggles back to sleep. DC: sea otters not around, adult panda sprawled over the tree sleeping and Tai is roaming the yard & climbing the rock structures.
Ms Owl at the motel may be a difference owl this am. Looks smaller then the one usually there and is moving around a bit.

No Wanda, in Oct. I will work at a friend's orchard and pumpkin patch during the week. They also sell at the Shepherdstown Farm mkt. They are Ridgefield Farm off of 230 outside of Shepherdstown.Jo, this weekend was their first weekend open for Pumpkinfest. You can go there and pick your own apples also. It's a nice place.
Megan doesn't have an orchard but does help out at one during Oct. Megan has flowers and then at Christmas her wreaths are fresh and beautiful. She sells those over at the Market..OR if you need a special size, she'll make it.
MEGAN - glad you jumped right back in here Robyn will probably read your remark..... We need those apple pies with lot of spices!!!
You can tell I have not yet eaten breakfast. Hubby has a once a month breakfast get together up at Mountaingate - makes me doubly hungry when I get up! Guess I'll scramble some eggs!

I think I am seeing the light of the San Francisco port starting to appear stronger - so that means closer. It is going to be dark there...but it will be good to know the ship is safely at port. Mits tracked some very rough weather but we hoped the ship was ahead of it - guess it was!

Anne-Marie told us that it would cost $13 to email from the ship, so she would wait and tell us of her experiences when she got back home. She may have emailed someone, but I think they would have told us.
Norma I thought we were saving $$ and that ours would be the next cruise
Anne was in contact with her brother - It's a shame we didn't have some kind of contact with him also.

I am hoping Anne-Marie is awake and seeing this beautiful sight. It is only 6:45am and she may still be asleep. When we came back from our cruise, the ship pulled into Miami in the night and we didn't get to see the spectacular view of the city lights. We were awakened to the sounds of luggage, etc. being removed from the ship. A rude awakening.

Megan besides choc chip cookies, will you have anything for sale etc during Open House. My guess it is too early for wreathes or swags unless you have some way of preserving them. I am curious.
They ask you to set your suitcases outside your cabin door before you go to bed and they are gone by morning. You have to pick them up dockside when you leave the ship. Ours got lost and we almost missed our plane trying to locate them.
Glo - you always planned on getting a planter from Megan! Hopefully she'll have something for you.

She would have passed und er the GG in the darkness...hopefully Jo you got my pic from Earthcam....yes that woul be Alcatraz that you saw....Oaklands Bridge is very pretty, just not as famous as the GG,,which is RED not Gold

San Francisco is one of my favorite places to visit, been there a few times, and Ceil's son works there now, but will be moving to Oregon in a few months...Ceil and my other sis and b-i-l spent Christmas out there last year.

Bai must be right outside. No, here she comes...saw a shadow, then straw or bamboo move, but she's back. Squiggles is still sleeping, Oh, look at that bunch of bamboo! Ok, Bai hiding Squiggles under about a ton of bamboo, too funny!

SUZANNE---Earlier in the blog--I told you I found out where the name SQUIGGLES may have come from------MEERKATS???
LOL, Norma, I just called her Squiggles cause when she was first born, she couldn't stay still. She was always squiggling and wiggling. Found out later that that is normal, they move like that cause their nerves and such are still developing, and it makes the cubs move. Name didn't come from the Meerkats.

I like the way the cam goes out far enough from the tree that we can see the entire nest! ALL the launch pads are in view. And they can't hide up against the tree. Remember how Spunky used to do that? Get close to the tree and we couldn't see him.
Not aaannnyyyymmmoorrreeee. They can run, but they can't hide.
