Wanda-That is awful, stealing your mothers tomatoes. I will check with Scott see if he knows anything about them. He lives in the turn there by the park before you turn into your mothers dev. The good news is they are probably harmless except for the stealing part.
Suzanne is going to be heart broken on Tues morning when they is no more Finny! I am still checking but not seeing any feathers around that nest!
Maybe NCTC, can contact whoever does the cams in Boniare. Was just telling hubby, about the cams and how they are working, and on a clear day in Sheperdstown ours would be down...go figure....your right Suzanne is going to miss Finny.

mid month she should have Frieda's chicks!
THEN - if our cam is up & running we can watch Liberty & Belle rebuild the nest! Whoo Hoo!

Thanks for checking the Finnish Osprey eyass ... I too haven't seen it (I think it is a female) on its nest since Friday evening-- their time. She was looking nervously in all directions ... probably for Dad ... and she did not have too full a crop.
I think Dad either went against instinct and left the scene before she did, or he left the immediate area to give her more motivation to go on her own. Dad may be back later to make sure she has migrated. But I haven't seen HIM since Thursday either.

I believe FINNY is gone---Wasn't there all day yesterday & same today!!!----SUZANNE will miss her little BUDDY!---He is such a character!!!!---All he would say was--MINE!--MINE!--as he was lying flat on his food---Only looked up to see if parent was going to take it away!!!----He MANTLED every thing!!!---He was such a DELIGHT to watch!!!!!

The "people" at SD seem to think SQUIGGLES is a female---or at least they are hopping she is---I read several comments & the med. exam---She has good LUNGS!!---Just hope we can still see her often when she gets older!!!

Stopped by to check on Lib and Belle, but I think they were down on the river enjoying the beautiful day.
Hey Paula, market would have been a little better for you but I got there late. LOL. OH Well. Went to the river to try to see you know who but apparently they are on vacation. As are all the birds in the Shepherdstown area.

I have been checking for Finny off and on this afternoon and no sighting. Suz is really going to be heart-broken. He is the first thing she sees every morning. He is always there to greet her. Fortunatly, she loves watching Squiggles, so I guess that will help her dissappointment.
That's OK Jill, Market was still fun. Enjoy it every time I go!

Good Evening all, I'm calling it a day and just doing nothing. I'm packed.I left the suitcases open just in case, but everything is in and counted for 12 days. Now, what in the world am I going to wear to work? Its hot here and cold there so I had to dig out two wardrobes. I had a big fight out side all day between squirrels and blue jays over the grapes. I didn't think they were ripe enough but both are protecting them to the death. Every time I run out there with my camera they stop.I may come home to bodies over grapes.

Anne-New Camera rule. Recharge it every night whether you take 2 pictures or 100. I thought mine had plenty of battery life left since I didn't take many pictures last time. Well apparently I left it on a couple of times with out realizing it. Good think Liberty and Belle didn't show up after it was dead or they would have been greeted by a crazed Momster with no camera. LOL
Well, I see JO is being good again tonight and signed off early. She is going to be in tip-top condition by Oct.20. You Go Girl!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was well spent with family and friends today, though there was more children then adults it was a great time had by all. I got to spend significnt time with Tori, when she wasn't locked in whispers with her best friend.
The bats are out catching moths and other insects at my dusk to dawn light which I leave on for them so they can dine.
No sign of finny at this late hour and I have not seen him either in a few days. I also noticed the visibility in Bonaire was minimum underwater perhaps from Felix churning up the waters.
Hope everyone slept well as I hope to sleep in tomorrow and give my leg a rest.

GOOD NIGHT, EVERYBODY/GOOD LABOR DAY MORN...
I had to get out of here this afternoon, so I took a long drive through the mountain switchbacks to Lake Elsinore. It can really blow the cobwebs out of your head and your car. Really enjoyed it, stopped at a small pizza joint (where they actually hand throw the dough still) and had a very good dinner. Wanted a beer since it was like a 100° steam box out there, but since I was driving, I settled for an "extra dry" Diet Pepsi.
Last I saw of the Finnish beauty was the evening of Friday, the 31st. I believe she's on her way south. May fair winds blow her nothing but good for life.

GOOD LABOR DAY MORNING EVERYONE...Jim, your dinner sounded good. There is a new place down hear that is hand-tossing the pizza, want to get there before I leave....BONAIRE underwater cam is offline, they think Felix damaged some cables, and they are assessing they situation.
