We saw Lib (or Belle) for a moment this morning at 6:45.
I am really having withdrawl symptoms from not seeing Squiggles. I havn't seen her for several days.
Good mornign everyone. Off for coffee and dog treats. So glad Lib and Belle are checking in :).
Got a sinus headache and a half here and wanted to take Dex to the Marina this morning to practice taking pictures of seagulls, since I don't expect any eagles to be in sight anyway for another 6 weeks or so. mTBR on that I guess. Enjoy your day. SO nice of the kids to drop by even for a minute, must have gottent he word we were gettign a little ......well you go ahead and fill it in .

Thanks for the heads up about the eagles in BW, Jim. I brought the site up this morning, and it was kaput again, so just closed it. But it's open now!! Watching those beautiful eagles. Sure can see a size difference.
Morning Mits, Glo. Thanks for the heads up Jim and Mits, just studying for mid-terms pulled my B to an A this week and want to keep a hold of it for 4 more weeks till next semester. I am getting so sick of school *blah*. less then 2 yrs left hopefully I can finish in 1 year.

yeah, Wanda, what's up with the SD cam? I'm thinking Squiggles is now Scooter, and they can't keep track of her....or mom, for that matter. Did you see them yesterday? Bai was out throwing that bamboo around, and every once in a while, she'd go get Squiggles and carry her around for a while, then put her back, get her again, then nurse. Too funny.

yes Suzanne Dex is doing good. Daph is the one that was sick on me in August and off and on this month as well. She is on lots of steroids...that snot so good, but does seem to be feeling much better the last week to 10 days...now to get her off the steroids and not have the condition flare back up, whatever is cuasing it. I on the other hand am gonna lie down for a while and possibly head to the Marina later.

Technical Note - Well, our charging problem seems to be back as we are having issues with the image again.
It might mean there's a problem with the controller or the solar panel. We'll try to work on it.

Been like this all day, I usually do mine first thing in the morning, and that didn't work today, so started again about a half hour ago. Still not done. Nilla was that a storm or what? I was going around the mall at the worst point. From the backside,turn behind Walmart, you could not see the building. When I made it to Wal-Mart there was a beautiful waterfall coming off the building, landing in the middle of the road. When I dropped Joey off I waited at BWW for a few minutes when I came back out, the road was completely flooded and a car was stalled. I went around the back side of the mall and that intersection was flooded too. Had to cut through the parking lot, come out on the Sears side and go out Foxcroft that way.
Hey Jill i can tell you it hit close by here my electric went out here at store and came back on, so i had to reboot both comps. The battery back ups did kick in.. Hey i didnt tell you but i have not heard a peep out of Tonna for weeks now.. she only stayed 1 night.. I am going to BWW and tell her she needs to get her things i am not a storage bin!!! And since Ken is moving i am really doing alot of cleaning and perhaps painting...
Jill son came in and said the traffic lights were all out and blinking red.. Winchester Avenue is flodded and customers just said the entire steets in Martinsburg are flooded.. i wonder what the under path railroad bridges looks like???

And they did bring in those new leaves as Belle was working in that area right where she lays her eggs ...
I know its really early for them to begin working like that but last season when i went over to NCTC 1 of the guards at the shack we were chatting and he said once he saw 1 of the eagles fly over and land near by and thought it had killed something but it was like jumping up and down and when it took off had its talons full of grass.. So they pull it out of the ground...

It rained down here on Shepherdstown road about an hour or so ago, but was not very hard and only lasted about 5 minutes. It is thundering again right now. Hope we get some more rain. It is still dry under our trees.
Well maybe a slight chance of them returning once more but i doubt it ..its thundering and lightening now here once again... Jill had a call from Tonna we had along talk.. MT nest still at 7:15pm

Howdy Wanda yes i was not paying attention to the cam and looked up and there they were... Just beautiful... I heard many places here in Martinsburg have no power.. News said we got over and inch in less than a few minutes here it rained so hard...

My Mother lives in town by the City Hospital. I will have to check in on her.

Yep--one less worry. My two daughters are both in their 40's and I still worry about them. My Mother is 87 and she still worries about me. You just never stop worring about those you love.

I watched Frieda feeding the chicks in a break from the drizzle...cute little fuzz balls. Only trouble is I could only see two fuzz balls. I hope there hasn't been any bad news.
It's possible to hide one amongst all that fuzz though, I'm sure.
They've got the WE cam and TH cam up again, but you can see the clouds of fog rolling over the nest areas. Better pictures though when you can see.
It's still like 80° and sunny in Santa Ana, but we are a few miles from the coast.
Boy, I used to see those giant "rolls" of fog coming in from the Pacific and up our valley when I lived in Del Mar Terrace...awesome.

Not a drop of rain here...
Just came back in. From Winchester Ave back to Raliegh doesn't have electric. The State Circle area is out. Wanda your mother probably lost electric but only briefly. I was out at King's Pizza and they only lost electric for a second. Most of the town was flooded. Not many limbs down that I could tell except WV Avenue or NY Ave. Crews were working in there when we came by
WANDA- I was on the phone with the other mag. when the storm hit. He was coming by Gosling Marsh and said the sun was shining bright. I was sitting behind Walmart and couldn't see the mall for all the rain.
NILLA-Joey said she has been at work most of the nights he is there. Could be the others she is off, so at least she is trying to keep the job.
What happened to the falcon cam...Jim, it is 8:15 p.m. here and still 87°.

Yeah Mits I don't think the thunder has stopped for at least an hour. Loud bangs and booms. And bright lightning. No harvest moon here.

WOW, it is really storming outside thunder, lightning I really shouldn't be online and my satellite just lost signal :(.
It really came down this afternoon, was getting my manicure and we lost power a few times thought we were going to need candle power to finish up lol

Hello! Pizza was great but we almost got 'drowned' getting up 81 into PA.
Like you Jill, it was bad enough that you wanted to pull over. Very torrential downpour! Then I saw a rainbow when we turned into Greencastle. Coming home I don't think that MD got even a drop! The harvest moon was beautiful coming down over the mountain! Bet you in WV

No I'm finished for the night Paula, was out most of the day with tori and friends. Was worried I lost power too when I got home saw my dusk to dawn light was on...phew

Beautiful night out, got a few drops of rain last night, almost made the roads damp. But 68° at my house, 72° here, so guess it's gonna be a warm one. Had my seranade coming down, so all the crickets and some locusts were out and about.
Will try to glance at blogs, see what I missed.
We have a beautiful pic on our cam of the nest, but MT at the moment. BW is down again, and Bai's nursing den is totally MT. So Bai and Squiggles are sleeping elsewhere tonight. Even looks like a lot of the bedding is gone also. Hum, wonder if somebody cleaned house???

I read the comments on the webpage, they have been updated. They even reviewed the cam logs from yesterday, and one chick has totally disappeared. They don't know what happened to it, there were no predators, and either Frieda or Frodo were very near the babies at all times. So it's a bit of a mystery. I'm sorry to hear it, I was hoping all 3 would make it with no problems! Sure hope this is going to be a good year, and no nesting problems like we had last year...they seemed to never end.

On the Frodo site, they think it was the second chick that went missing, but I saw that one live and healthy, but I don't believe I ever saw the 3rd one ... just that shell with the strange hole in the side.
I agree with one of the people who sent questions...I think Frieda found the third one unviable, made that unusual hole in the shell and disposed of the dead contents.

Jim, sorry I missed you! I went to check my Yahoo mail, and found some articles and pics of pandas, to include our Squiggles on their main page. Well, stop the world, had to look at that. Quite a few pics of Squiggles during her exams. Also read where the Chinese government has now stopped giving/loaning pandas to any other foreign government, as of last Thursday. That sucks! Didn't read details, will have to do that.
Yes, Jim, read that, but also saw the pic of the one they think disappeared on the web site, so it was hatched. Not sure what's going on.
Bai is now in the birthing den and nursing Squiggles.
Our eagles are due in a few minutes, if they are running true to form.
