Good evening all. I just got home and its time to zip up the suit cases. Thank you all for being so much support in my adventure. The name of the ship is the Princess Dawn and look up princess dawn cam if you want to see me wave to you. My brother is following me on the trip by watching the cam. Its suppose to be rainy and cold and I dont care. Me and my red dress are going anyway. I'll be the short, puggy lady with the long white frizzy hair.. Hugs.

Howdy Jim! How's life today?
Well, Paula, physically it has been a beautiful day here, mostly sunny, in the low to mid 70's.
But some of the S.S., Medicare hasn't been happening on schedule, so I tried to contact both agencies multiple times, after running the killer gauntlet of the automated systems. And I waited, and I waited, the system apparently hung up on me silently, so redialed, fought the gauntlet, and I waited, and I waited..............
I did finally get through to S.S., but they redirected me back to the M.Care. More of the same, etc. etc., but I finally learned that Medicare has been approved...doesn't start until 10/1 though, instead of this month...and they had sent me a new card today. Now, I'll just pay the largish premium to continue my Blue Cross for a month.
By the way, the suggestion by either Robyn or Jill to give the automated thing answers not on their list or dial numbers such as "0" did help a lot getting through the automated systems to the humans. You don't really appreciate humans until you can't get an automated critter to tell you anything you need to know.
So, Paula, it's been satisfying in the long run today, but what a hassle in the process!! Good new is, I think most of the major stuff I've been trying to get rolling is rolling. {:~>}

well they aren't extinct over here. I don't have a clue why the rest of you aren't seeing th e picture. I even went in to check my desktop to see if it was on there. Yep there it is 4 Polar Bears and a gorgeous well sunrise or sunset LOL I don't do East and West haven't got a clue on that one.
Where did Jo go? Either snacking or worn out from her trip today.
I could go for the whales and dolphins if Anne can't climb the antenna.
We will have to keep an eye out for them, Paula....just been looking at some cams in Sitka, Alaska, maybe will will see her whn she docks.
I'm using the pic of Tai that Lisa put on the blog today as my new desktop.
Glo, you must have some special link, which Steve has and the rest of us don't. Maybe it's because you both have your own blogs, while most of us are just readers.
I just opened the blog again using a link I usually don't use to go directly to the blog, but it doesn't show that pic that way either.

Well I was thinking there was a time last year when some of the folks closest to the nest couldn't see the cam and the rest of us were watching it. Can't remember if we ever figured out what happend that time or not, but that wouldn't be the explanation if its a local problem as you can't see it either. Well I surely don't know :( Sorry.
It's either the browser or the picture format is my guess.
Good idea on the cams, Mits. I'll have to search for some, too.

Cool pic, thanks. I think it is because it is in .png format that most of us can't see it. But then again, I can see it from photobucket, but sometimes these blogs get weird, as we all know!

I think I see the problem: If you check the "properties" of the blank box on the blog, it will say it's in ".jpg" format, but as Paula said, the format of the actual photo is ".png" ... which I have never heard of, by the way.

PNG is portable network graphic, just another format for pictures.

Yes, Paula, I just looked it up in Wikipedia. Apparently, a major part of the GIF format had been patented by Unisys, so others developed their own format to cirumvent the patent.
But the problem here is that the format of the pic isn't .jpeg as the box on the blog states it is. ...I think, that's it.
Some computers have troubles with GIF, but not this one.
Anyway, thanks to Glo we can all see the beautiful northern scene.

YES it is just after 4am and I am on here. I couldn't sleep, so I came on in and went through all my emails and I think most of the missed blogs.
Loved the pics from Steve. Now I can't wait to see the results. I tried today when I first logged on, but still said in a couple of months.
Now that I have made my entrance, I am going to go back to bed and see if I can get back to sleep. I don't even think Jim is still up. :)
