wvgal_dana said...

I got a couple of pictures will look at them later.

magpie said...

At least we get a good view of the ADULT eating...☺

wvgal_dana said...

Is the one pulling meat off the rabbit feeding the one on the eggs????

magpie said...

Loooong Bird

wvgal_dana said...

We had a switch

magpie said...

Okay stand at the back of the nest and feed the baby/s (?)

hedgie said...

Never mind earlier question, Megan, about Liddy...read article in paper and it's Edward Liddy.

ceil said...

Lynn he is probably related to him.Saw the switch.

magpie said...

Yo Hello Ceil !

magpie said...

Two eagles at BWE

ceil said...

Margy is the launch still on. I have been in and out most of the day. It is cloudy here but I think I will step outside an look.

magpie said...

...Was....

ceil said...

See you all later going outside

magpie said...

That's correct, Hedgie reports 7:43 but overcase skies will be a problem :(

magpie said...

Not sure how that tranlates to your zone though

Nice evening glow on OUR Bird -

Lolly said...

Oh, I dislike the night time viewing. Can't see a thing. But then we can't see much in daylight either! LOL

Hi all! Have been out digging in the dirt! It warmed up into the low 60's and we had sunshine!

Feel your pain Megan about needing rain. We received 4 inches this week. That brought us up to normal rain for the year....however our drought continues because of lack of rain over the years. Still need more to bring the lakes up.

We have been spreading mulch and weeding. Things are shaping up. I will probably do some planting this week. Larkspur will be blooming soon and more iris to come.

magpie said...

ISS is back out in the evenings this week too, tonight and the next three...

ISS for your area

magpie said...

Aaaaah, in the country here, nothin' like the smell of that smelly manure spread on the farm fields ☺

Lolly I loved your report of the "0" birthdays at your church - That is a Class Act ☺

magpie said...

I put a pic of a very loooooong bird from the nest a little while ago, on Magpies Roost link...
(it was really two birds, looks like a Stretch Limo ! )

magpie said...

Okla eagle tending eggs

magpie said...

That was quick I think all three looked intact but can't tell for sure

and OURS was just doing something or other

magpie said...

Going to go check more people's pics and the slide show linked on the posts before the split...
Back in a while xo

hedgie said...

Raining lightly here.
So far a successful shuttle launch...too bad we can't see anything this time.

magpie said...

okla - all fluffed up nest

wvgal_dana said...

I'm getting away from this computer some. Going to watch Amazing Race....at least I know what is going on there grrrrr

ceil said...

It was too cloudy. Good night all. Pleasant dreams

magpie said...

OKLA is burying herself !

Lolly said...

Yes, isn't OK funny! When I was watching earlier she was continuously messing with the fluff. Now she is buried!

Margy...we LOVE our "0" birthdays. It is so much fun...and does good at the same time. When I turned 40 we were going out to eat and giving gifts, but decided to change it. They helped me reach 40, 50, and 60 in style!!!!

Lolly said...

And, you know, there are some really funny cards to rib people about their age.

Lolly said...

Spring break here this week. Of course that does not affect me anymore. Laurel and the boys are out of school and it is going to be a gorgeous week!

magpie said...

Yes, and the Vernal Equinox is the 20th! Isn't that grand. Noticed on Mits's weather report yesterday how close sunrise and sunset times are to each other, (separated by almost 12 hours of course! )

Yes, those decade and milestone birthday cards can be a Scream!
xo

I wonder of Okie is expecting a cold night...

Lolly said...

I don't think so. Should be warming up this week. However, the wind was really blowing on OK today. Did you see her tail feathers blowing in the wind. It was pretty!

magpie said...

Very Windy at Lake Washington right now

Lolly said...

It is a conspiracy!!!! The eagles have put their heads together and are NOT going to let us view this year. OK just rolled the eggs, there is so much fluff you could hardly see! However, I did spy three eggs, one with a dark spot.

magpie said...

Something Koo Koo going on one of the OK views...cam pic sliding all around.....?
Maybe the cam managers are doing it...

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Good evening eagle friends!! Me and Tom went riding today, had a great day. We went down to the lake to see where I slip is to put our boat, road the back roads, stuff like that. We went down to where those guys got shot on the Appalachian Trail. That was such a miracle that they made it out of there alive!! That was really strange to be there.

magpie said...

...was....

looked like it was slip-slidey

deb said...

Our eagle is moving

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

They did a show on Dateline about that, don't know if any of ya'll saw it. It is about 30 minutes from where we live, beautiful country.

magpie said...

Woof now the other view is all slip slidey

deb said...

Was the shooting just recent, Sissy?

magpie said...

I guess our Birdie just switched herself around missed it was on another program

deb said...

All you could see was the glare from the light, Margie.

Lolly said...

I don't know what they were doing with the OK cam. Did you see the eagle look up? She was wondering what was going on too. LOL

Mits said...

Hello, fun day here today, went to Mass and Luncheon with women from our church, Little Flower of Bethesda....my Annie got to come so jubby and son watched the girls, and I got to visit with them when we got home...good thing Grandma has a big lap for two to read books, and then when I have to excuse myself to go to the bathroom, pitter patter of little feet and knocking on bathroom door follow me....it was fun:)

Lolly said...

Deb, what do you think about the number of eaglets? Maine is discussing whether it is one or two. I just make out one.

Lolly said...

Yea, Mits! Sounds like one fantastic day!

magpie said...

Okay...
Hey I am working Monday and Tuesday 6am to 6pm - going to miss all the daytime fun! Might squeak back on just before dark though...Maybe I will come home to Live Feed and More Good Eaglet news....Had to hoof it back from Morgan County to get home in time tonight
All your all's pictures sure do fill in the gaps!
I appreciate it ! ☺

magpie said...

Mits Great! I had a feeling all that time away from the Blog meant some M&M time ! ☺ ☺

magpie said...

I think the first of the two OK views is to show the other adult on the bar

magpie said...

So someone out there must be doing that on purpose I suppose, at OK

deb said...

I think there is just one, Lolly, but I sure hope someone proves me wrong! I do have one picture that sure looks like two eaglets with two unbroken eggs. I think it is just the way the eaglet is laying in the nest.

In OK they are pointing the cam at the other eagle on the end of the beam.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

It happened in May 2008, was on Dateline about a month or so ago. The two guys lived this time but the same guy killed 2 people 10 years and had just got out of jail when he shot these two. It was really a wild story. They got shot in the head and the other in the neck and lived after driving out of the woods miles and miles.

deb said...

Redoubt Volcano is back to Orange status and has a steam plume today.

Redoubt

hedgie said...

Heading for sofa for Cold Case and The Unit. See y'all later if I don't fall asleep!!

deb said...

It sounds like a wonderful day, Mits, glad you had a good time.

Mits said...

Off to watch CC..bbl

deb said...

They were very lucky to survive that ordeal, Sissy.

Grackles have arrived in my yard, a sign of spring, but I wish they would go somewhere else! They are too pushy and greedy.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Grackles and starlings are my least favorite birds, could do without both of em.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Going to bed, ya'll have a good night. See ya in the morning light!

deb said...

Eagle in LW.

Starlings don't come to my yard very often. Last year I finally took my feeders down for a few weeks, the grackles took over.

deb said...

The way the LW eagle is digging that nest cup, it is going to be deep!

magpie said...

Beautiful couple at LW -

and our bird is UP, sort of

Mits said...

eagle awake

Mits said...

were there alot of feedings today?

Mits said...

Cold Case is good tonight

magpie said...

Anyone on here remember something called the "Deep Well" cooker that some electric stoves had...one of the four burner spots was the deep well...that is what LW has !

Mits said...

that white head just disappears into the night light

Costume Lady said...

Margy, I remember the Deep Well. Something special was always cooked in there...I had forgotten about that part of the old stoves:)

Yes, Helen, Cold Case IS GOOD TONIGHT! Back on...

Lolly said...

Hey, our stove had a deep well. I know Mother cooked in in some, but what I really remember is after Daddy popped popcorn on Sunday nights he dumped it into the deep well. Every Sunday night popcorn and malts. Yum!

magpie said...

Good to see you Wanda, been watching for you....and soon, Paula I hope shows up too ☺
We've had a big family on the Blog this week-end, has really been nice!

My Mother used to cook the hot breakfast cereal in that Deep Well, among other things....

magpie said...

Wow that sounds good Lolly !

Lolly said...

Doesn't it though? Darn this diet!

magpie said...

The night bandit has struck, and I want to say a hearty Good Night to everyone that hasn't headed for the pillows yet, 'cause that is where I am headed soon :(

G O O D N I G H T !
Jo: I would say Shake a Leg but don't think that is a good piece of advice: Rest a Leg Instead! xo

Peace, Love and Prayers, and Sleep Sweetly xo ☺ ♥

Lolly said...

My Daddy cooked every Sunday. He prepared breakfast, and he put on a roast for dinner every Sunday, the popcorn and malts were our supper.

paula eagleholic said...

What's the word, folks?

Yay or Nay?

Lolly said...

Nite Magpie! Sweet dreams. See you tomorrow evening. Hope you have a quiet Monday at work.

Lolly said...

It is yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Lolly said...

Paula...for sure we have an eaglet! I have pic under misc. pic on my blog. Deb has some and the Maine forum has them.

paula eagleholic said...

When did it hatch?

Lolly said...

I am not sure. Sometime mid afternoon yesterday. We had a talkitive time on the blog.

Lolly said...

My first picture was taken at 3:50. If you look at my pictures be sure to click on "older posts' and the end. The first picture is there.

paula eagleholic said...

Back, looking at email pics, one kicked me out of IE...

I assume that's Belle on the nest...

paula eagleholic said...

OK, Helen called me yesterday. I told her I was waiting for a feeding, which was seen last night? And Today? Rabbit?

Lolly said...

I suggested she call you again, but it was getting late. I am not sure when the last feeding was. I worked in the yard today. Looking back at the blog....it was about 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Oh, yes, have not seen any fish, just many rabbits in the nest.

Lolly said...

The Maine forum has a slide show that shows the next fairly well. The egg cup is so deep, the cam is not clear, and eagles do not cooperate, so there has not been a good viewing.

wvgal_dana said...

Night all prayers for those that need them.

Costume Lady said...

Sleep well, Margy...have a good work day. See you in the evening.

paula eagleholic said...

I hope that's the second egg that hatched...

hedgie said...

OMG----sensor light out back came on...went to look to see if deer were here...not...but for the very 1st time here (16+ yrs.) it was a bunny!! Heaven knows I've had everything else...bear, deer, turkeys, coons, groundhogs, fox, coyote, and all the wee things... but never a rabbit before! Sure hope he/she has a hutch nearby!

Costume Lady said...

Yes, Paula, there is definately a chicklet in the nest, maybe two. JMO:)

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks, Lolly. I was checking out pics in the email...I can see how hard it was to tell, cam pic is rough. So that was 2 rabbits in the nest...cool.

Do we have any news on the live feed?

Lolly said...

Yes, it would be nice if it was egg #2. Guess time will tell. Some think there may be 2 eaglets already, but I have not seen two.

Lolly said...

No news at all about the cam.

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly, you're pic at 3:50 is great!

paula eagleholic said...

Good night, Dana.

Lolly said...

Yeah there were three food deliveries in rapid succession. Good ol Lib! The second delivery was rather gross. I was holding my laptop upside down to look at it, trying to figure out what it was. Upside down you could tell it was a rabbit. LOL

paula eagleholic said...

Belle is up and back down

Lolly said...

That is my favorite. That was when I was convinced, that yes, we do have a hatch.

paula eagleholic said...

Might be arranging fluff, not back down yet

paula eagleholic said...

And/or rolling remaining eggs

Lolly said...

You were missed!

Mits said...

Paula, you told me to call you when I saw a feeding...lol, never saw one yesterday, and I have not been on til tonight....so have not seen any today....good night everyone.

NatureNut said...

Got one more pic on blog...Household ☺ ☺

Lolly said...

Oh, and Glo made a cute slide show on her blog.

Mits said...

Paula, you have mail:)

Lolly said...

LOL Good one, Loretta! I also like that picture that Megan got. It is really good.

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks for the hint on the Maine slideshow, Lolly. You can really see the chick moving there.

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, Thanks Mits, that explains no phone call today!

NatureNut said...

Paula, I haven't read everything just now, but it was about 10 PM last night when Helen said it was too late to call you. There had been feeding right before. I have this AM feeding on blog. (Sorry I emed that!)
Bleary eyed & brain cramp!

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks, Lolly.

She sure is antsy tonight too, must be hard getting the little one settled!

NatureNut said...

Last 4 words of my last post are the reason I'm not emailing that pic out tonight! LOL

Lolly said...

She settled down and slept last night. She was tired!

Mits said...

if I had seen a definite beak to mouth feeding last night I would have called Paula, not matter what time it was.

paula eagleholic said...

Nature - do you know how to take pics from the still cam without your camera?

Either right click and choose save, or perhaps in the upper left corner if you place your mouse there, a little box comes up, shows you 4 different options, save, print, emailm open picture folder. Choose save and then type in a name and hit save.

paula eagleholic said...

Well, it certainly was a nice surprise to come home and find out about the chick!

hedgie said...

Hey, hey Paula....glad you're home!
Lolly, why did your dad put the popcorn into the well thingy after it was popped?
G'Night all who are turning in!

Lolly said...

That was just the big bowl that we dipped our smaller bowls into.

Mema Jo said...

Maybe tomorrow the eaglet will be so hungry that he will jump right out of that egg well and we'll get a really good sighting of him! lol

Good Night All
Prayers for All
((((Hugs)))) ♥♥♥

paula eagleholic said...

I see Deb has some pics, too.

paula eagleholic said...

Was there a lot of sun here today...at the nest? It was cloudy and rainy down at my Mom's.

Lolly said...

Yes, we were all saving pics.

NatureNut said...

Yes Paula, I've been saving them by clicking for years. Was an experiment I & Greg at Park tried to also do on the osprey cam. He fooled w/settings to see what was best. I've also been doing it to increase file size, but hard to get them clear. Can't enlarge Stills much either--get blurry. I've mostly been taking pics of Live cam, but I quit---too much time to edit.

paula eagleholic said...

And 3 food deliveries yesterday, that's our Lib!

paula eagleholic said...

OK, Nature, glad you know that!

Is Greg going to have the Osprey cam on the webpage?

paula eagleholic said...

Forgot to say

That's our Lib ♥♥♥

Belle is up again..

NatureNut said...

He said it might get online, but I wouldn't hold my breath. You know what happened couple yrs ago. Went Poof!
He was talking about getting cam for eagle nest & I am holding my breath!

paula eagleholic said...

Yeah, Nature, I tried to view it 2 years ago...

That would be cool if he could...have him call Dr Sharpe...he's the expert!

paula eagleholic said...

Sorry to hear about the Kent eagles...sorta what I was thinking anyhow.

paula eagleholic said...

I was thinking yesterday, but didn't say it...we should have had somebody camping out at NCTC over the weekend!

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, just read Megan's comment about the slumber party!

NatureNut said...

Oh Paula, I just remembered that I started taking camera shots of Still & Live at work. No way to Save in Gov't 'puters & we part time peons don't have work email.

NatureNut said...

Greg has techie friends who come in a work on cams--I don't know where they're from.

Night all---said I was gonna stay away from this 'puter!!Got Reunion Mtg. In AM---20 yrs!

deb said...

The Kent eagles were back today, Paula, I don't know if that means they will work on the nest or if they were just visiting.

hedgie said...

Paula, mostly gloomy all weekend....one or two bright spots...some drizzle...one or two light showers...not enough rain to do us much good!

hedgie said...

Been a long day, and I am tired...heading for tub and then bed. See you fine fowl friends tomorrow! Prayers for all.

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks, Lynn. Would have thought the pics should have been better today!

paula eagleholic said...

Gonna try and finish reading blogs!

paula eagleholic said...

Belle has finally tucked her head in after watching her be so restless since 9:30 or so...

Lolly said...

Nite all! See you in the morning. I keep thinking that surely we will get a good view of that new baby soon.

Sweet dreams!

Costume Lady said...

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

paula eagleholic said...

I see Sandy (Burk) was on today....

paula eagleholic said...

Gonna call it a night..hoping for better views tomorrow...live and still pics!

Thank you everyone for all your pics and commentary the last 2 days!

Oh, my brother couldn't believe Helen was calling me about the eaglet yesterday! LOL, little does he know...

Hugs to all ♥

magpie said...

Well, up and at 'em..
I think there was just a little tee tiny feeding going on.

glo said...

glo said...

Have a great day Magpie I will be Dancing with the Stars by the time you get home LOL

carolinabeachmom said...

Good morning Glo and Margie. When I first turned it on, I found the nest MT of parents. Then the one Glo saw came back and looked like it was starting fo feed something in the nestbowl, but couldn't see a thing.

My son was home yesterday, went to church with us and breakfast and last night we took him out to dinner. He brought some more stuff home and I guess we go up to get his car and some final things this coming weekend.

I can't believe that we still don't have a live cam or haven't been able tosee how many little bobble heads we have in there yet. Maybe the brightness of the new day will help out. Bird is sitting back down on egg cup a of now.

You all have a good watching day. I'll have the computer again as Josh is going back to Greenville to get some more stuff packed. Check in on you all later. Hoping for some good news from everyone.

glo said...

Good morning Candy...we are all hoping for a live feed so we can see what is haping activity wise closer than every 30 secs or so. Have a good day.
