I really need a webcam, I've got 2 pileated woodpeckers in a holly tree eating the berries, as a mockingbird trys to get them out of the tree, a cardinal pecking at an applecore, and two mockingbirds fighting over a grape(too funny). Oh, and 3 flickers, two downy woodpeckers and two nuthatches all perched in my walnut tree. Chaos..

Egg roll, look at her tuck all that fluff around, she knows- and it's just starting to rain.
Belle is digging to China. She keeps it up she will be sinking with the wiggle.
NORMA, It was after the new hospital was built, Winchester grew so so much. Oh and the Martins shopping center out by the mall, I remember being lost behind that shopping center and the road just stopped. Now it connects to the mall.
Noticed a bunch of bird stealing cat food from the neighbors porch when I came in. Cat sitting under the car looking at them. I think he is afraid. LOL

Seeing lots of Robins now...it is starting to sprinkle at my place. Which is 10 minutes flying time for our eagles.
No Jill haven't gone to new WalMart yet. They probably would have a craft section. Although can't say I seen one there since I haven't been there.

Owl Cam 2 Mrs Owl is standing & you can see some of the little ones underneath her.
Jo, there might be one hatched egg in the hotel. It looked like a shell out beside her early this morning but didn't see a baby.
Jill - one of the 6 did hatch yesterday. I haven't gotten a good look at the chick yet on Owl Cam 1
I think only Belle's weatherproof feathers are going to be damp. The entire rest of her is countersunk in that egg cup.

Well I am confused also as to who we have been watching which I also thought was Belle - But with the fly in, that really looked like Belle.. unless the cam distorts their size when they are up here at the 6:00 position..........

Mema Jo, she does not fit near as deep as he does in that egg cup. He was countersunk and she is no where near that deep.
I think she is up higher in the cup too, but that may be so she can TENT them better, and keep all that fluff dry? What do you think?
Norma, I drove home from Genie/Jewell's yesterday in one of our Florida storms! Took me almost two hours and it usually takes about an hour. Visibility was pretty bad sometimes. When it is just rain without the high winds it isn't so bad. Today we have the winds here but not the rain!
I think that is the way we will be able to tell... Like now Belle looks as though she isn't even down over the eggs if you compare it as to how Liberty looked with he was sitting right on them.

If she digs that deep enough for her to countersink, Liberty will not be able to be seen at all when he gets in there.
I believe that is Belle on the eggs also...seems like when Lib leaves, he backs up off the eggs onto the back of the nest, and departs from there.

Our other eagle just flew into new (looked big) walked alittle and flew out. I believe up on a limb.

Hi, eagle & eaglet lovers. It's been raining here since 11:00 AM. Even sleeted once for about 15 minutes. Yeah! This weekend and next weekend is the Maple Festival in Monterey, VA - the county south of Pendleton County. Nothing better in the world than fresh, warm maple donuts! Maple syrup - another harbinger of Spring!

My cable modem has been winking and blinking its "Ready" light at me all morning, and I couldn't get on-line until almost noon.
Haven't looked around much, but I see Norfolk doesn't have an egg yet, and there's an article under "DGIF" posted today about the delay and their prospects.
Our live feed is working again, and I noted on the newest Real Player you can record the clip...don't know what you do with it next though, not yet anyway.

Hi Jim It's raining on our eagle.
The long stick has been in nest. Although not where it is now. It looks like when the eagle got up one time. It's wing (tenting) touched the end of the stick. Which is now partially under the eagle.

Finally, she moved her head...I guess they just don't move much in this kind of weather....I suppose it conserves energy and body heat.

Just made a comment that I wished Cam 3 at Kent would be hooked up soon to the server. We could really see the nest and tell how far along they are with the nestorations. I haven't had any word on it, Jim.

You know, I'm not sure, I see that on the ground, was wondering what it was, the light(or lack of) makes it hard to see. But that fox was there for a while,and I was wondering what he was eating.
Ok, yeah Jo, that definitely looks like a deer carcass. ANd darn it, there were racoons and I missed them.
I hope the fox missed the raccoons...

Had to go to work. Did a rewind doesn't look like she moved much. No standing or rolling.
Egg roll at 2 am. She seemed to roll one more than the others. Couldn't seem to get it where she wanted it.
Head tucked in, sleeping soundly. I am going to sleep, hopefully til the sun comes up but............
she moved all three eggs with her beak put them in a triangle, she pulled the far right one way up in the egg cup then moved the other 2 they were in a row but are in a triangle now , she did two egg rolls ,
I cant sleep and watching Belle.. at around 3:15am something really disturbed her.. She jumped up and flapped wings and could see she was sqwauking...Seems abit of light snow is flying around on cam... She is still wide awake and looking back towards the cam..Still she seems very nervous...Her eyes glowing...She is still watching back towards cam.. Its been 15 minutes since she was disturbed.. Now her head is back an she is resting...So all is well in the nest... Good Night gona try n rest also.
Belle was still awake a minute ago, but she's now tucked her head under her wing.
I think it was probably thunder that aroused her. Not raining yet.

Going on 4 am here in Arizona..that's one wet eagle in our nest this am! Poor thing!

Well, *%$#@*@#%#*^#@#!!!my live feed is not working again-trying all the tricks I used yesterday to open it....
I'm not sure what happened to the live feed. It was working all night. I went to the kitchen and came back and it was gone. Maybe Steve has to update the time on the link thats all.

Well, I've tried everything, the feed must be down, real player says the link is outdated or innacurate. And of course, since it's Saturday, all bets are off about gatting the feed back up. I may have to fly to Denver...

well, my 30 sec cam is still working, but it's not updating properly again, and this is frustrating. Don't want to think we have to wait until Monday to have this resolved. Today'sw weather-
