Hello Norma, Wanda, Glo, Paula and Mits:) Oh, Wanda, next year we can have a monarch party, my yard is full of them in August. Two of my favorite parts of summer, monarchs and hummingbirds. Just outside again, here's what I saw in my yard, 2 mockingbirds fighting, again, a kestrel trying to grab a blue jay out of the birdbath, 2 flickers, a pileated woodpecker, 2 red bellied woodpeckers, and 1 noisy wren. It's a jungle out there. Time to make some pancakes and bacon.
Paula, forget your deck work and pick me up on your way to Megan's yard!!! Good Morning! I said last night that I hoped to see all of you this morning in the sunshine & here you are!! WHoo Hoo! You are my sunshine - You are my sunshine - You make me happy - When I am sad - You never know Eagle Buddies - How much I love ya - Please don't take my sunshine away! I just could not resist doing that--Norma gets me started
Have to fix the deck...the dog keeps crawling under it and I can't get him out sometimes! He busted up the lattice, so I got some stronger lattice to replace it with. One more cuppa...then outside...
I sing that song to Maggie all the time and she loves it. We gave her a duck for her birthday that sings it...freaked her out, so ducky is put away for now
We are getting well known from this blog. Jim gets his comments in the Courrier Mail and we all get mentioned in the Shepherdstown Observer! Who Knows What's Next?
Well, the bacon's done, but if you're all coming, someone better pick up another lb. on the way here. I agree, Paula, all I can figure is they don't put everything online. Jo I love that song, bring tears to my eyes when I hear it. Happy tears, sad tears. Tori's father and I would sing it to her all the time. When Tori got ill, i sang it to her in the hospital, choking back tears.
I'm looking forward to attending the open house and seeing all you wonderful beautiul ladies, and sharng the day with Tori.
It sounds like it will be an exciting day filled with such great activities for children, especially that huge fishtank.
Hi there MITS,GLO,MEGAN, PAULA, NORMA, ROBYN,JIM AND DANA. I am back for just a second checking in and going through my email. Saw where tthe announcer on ABC said the Panda's smell. WELL maybe that is in China where they aren't taken care of as well as they are here, right MITS. We take good care of their Pandas and are producing more. They should be paying us for taking care fo them for them.T hey keep sending us tainted food and toys with lead in them. We are being taken for a ride by Chine. And that is all I will say right now on my soapbox.
Did you see on the Open House Schedule that the "kids" get to make Eagle nests! Well, do you think I could pass as a "Young At Heart Kid" who would so Love to make an eagle's nest to take home?
Good Beautiful afternoon Folks... I have been outside and cleaned flower gardens and washed windows.. Busy Busy Busy... Going to Winchester to get son in laws pick up truck to move somethings.. Hope ya'll are having a nice Sunday afternoon aso... BBL tonight... Hugs, Nilla
I have always loved watching FRIEDA & the way she would look toward the cam & lower her beautiful EYES!---Every time I check on her this season---She has her back to the camera!!---
I can just imagine our Liberty and Belle visiting our nest right now. :(:(:(:(:( Down with Denver!!!! I hope the cam is back up tomorrow so you can all see the visits again.
HI THERE LADIES-- It has been a loooong weekend without our cam. I hope they can get it operating again tomorrow. If not, they better keep those gates locked at NCTC. lol
WANDA I had thought of getting up early to get on, but do you think that the cam will be working yet? I might just go into school and bring up the sight and say th heck with them. :) I am still going to try to get on.
Well Ladies, school comes early in the morning for me, so I guess I am going to get my shower and call it a night. I hope the cam is working for you tomorrow so you can all enjoy. A good night to all. Tomorrow is a new day. Don't stay up sooooo late!
I guess it is too late to answer you, Candy (unless you peek back in after your shower) Look at Megan's comments Look for blue title or subject Like Hawk Mt Raffle Click on it and you will see the article Use your back green arrow to return to blog.............
Squiggles is trying so hard to get onto her tummy from her back. She is having a FIT. You can see her little mouth open wide and just know she is yelling. What a treat to watch this little babe.
Yesterday I was lazy most of the day. Worked a little bit last night. Today, worked a little this morning. This afternoon, my family gathered at Claytor Lake State Park. We wanted to gather on a happy occasion instead of sad ones. It was wonderful. Lots of good food. We took a ride on the pontoon boat. I saw one osprey who was flying with a fish it had caught. Then we saw another one who dive-bombed twice trying to fish. Not sure if he caught anything on the second try because he flew in the opposite direction. I am going back there after all the leaves fall off to see if there may be an eagle's nest somewhere. There have been eagles spotted there but just not by me! :)
JO--I'm getting really excited now that my Granddaughter has agreed to help me out. I thought I would only be able to run down to NCTC for lunch and that's all. Now we can do it all!
Been the week from hades :) and can't seem to concentrate as I am behind schedule. Taking the furry ones to the fluff salon tomorrow to get all cleaned up and smelling pretty if only for a day or two, if lucky.
I have the floor installers coming over to measure this week so I will be busy the next few days if not week focusing on the hacienda. Before I can even think of getting into the basement which should move along rather quickly.
I need to make up for the month my back decided to act up, though I am still ahead of schedule I am behind as I wanted to be completed with upstairs by last week.
But all is good here spending some good qulity time with Tori was worth the delay.
And school has been a drag this semester, though I am passing it is the most boring one yet, especially my sociology class, EWWW
Good morning, world. Good morning, Jim. You still up? Have to open a few things when I come in, I'm usually the first one here, so it has to be done. Don't have any cams open, but did see Steven's note about the locked up cam, so guess it's still locked. Beautiful night out, 56° at home, 59° here. Beautiful little over half moon and lots of star, for the most part. Some whispy fog in other places, but nice out. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
BW is up, but MT, SD is up, but birthing den MT, Frieda and both chicks hanging out on balcony, she's standing right behind them. They're so cute.. She's looking around, and looks like the fuzz balls are sleeping. Precious. Uh oh, here comes Bai. Does she have Squiggles? No, bamboo.. She's flipping bamboo and now gonna eat. At this hour! Guess Pandas have midnight snacks too!
Man, mom sure flips that little squiggles! Upside down, side to side, washing her all the time. Poor kid is gonna be dizzy! Now mom's sitting up getting comfy, time to nurse. Uh oh, Squiggles wants mom's left side, mom wants Squiggles on the right. So... who will win this discussion??? OH, Heron just arrived in BW!!! Frieda is gonna cover the chicks now, they've been visible since I logged on. Bai is nursing, but can't tell what side Squiggles is on. Heron still in BW. Wish we could see his head!
Bai flipped Squiggles a bit, now baby is nursing...on the RIGHT side. Heron still in BW, and Frieda still in front of fuzzballs. Haven't gone back to read, but one of those fuzzballs looks about twice the size of the other one. Is that just me? I'll have to go back and see if anybody else noticed that...
Phew, Heron just flew off. I was worried he was gonna knock the cam out of alignment, he was right in front of it! Frieda has fuzzballs under her wings, and Bai and Squiggles have settled down. Think feeding time is over, and it's panda nap time.
GOOD MONDAY MORNING SUZANNE! Hope your weekend was as nice as the weather was. Not much doing on here over the weekend as WE HAD NO VIEW OF OUR EAGLE NEST IN SHPEHERDSTOWN! :( DENVER AGAIN!!! I think if it doesn't come back on today, we may all take the EAGLE EXPRESS and head for Denver to give them a piece of our minds.
I wonder if Mr. Heron spent the night at BW. He was on there early evening until Mr. Patience the eagle came along and sat there for a very long time. Never was joined by another eagle tho.
NORMA Where are you this morning. Frieda is facing the camera with her two chicks in front of her. Wake up Norma and take a look, before it is too dark or she moves. :)
Good morning, Candy! Had a wonderful weekend, weather was just perfect. Hope you had a good one! Don't think the heron spent the night, saw him when he arrived earlier. Cool to see him, huh? Bai has fed Squiggles, and given her the rolly polly toss this morning a couple times, and Frieda is showing us her babies. It is way early for Norma! Nobody else will be up for a while except maybe Wanda, but her shop is open now, so she may not be on so early this month. It's just you and me, kid! Sorry you're not gonna be able to come to Open House, but bet you will have a good time with your son and your hot air baloon ride!
Nice to hear that SHARON had a nice day with her family at Clayton Lake State Park. Nice to hear.
MITS Today is the day. Thoughts and prayers are with you and you DIL and all as today progresses. NORMA start to boil the water! Can't wait to get back on here tonight to see if MITS is a new grandmother.
Morning again Suzanne. No, I was just calling Norma.....she made a statement yesterday that she never sees Frieda look at the camera anymore with those beautiful eyes. She had her back to us most of the time yesterday; even when she fed the chicks. Boy they sure looked tuckered out and soundly sleeping.
That Squiggles is something else. Yesterday, he did a lot of squiggling. His legs went a mile a minute and pretty soon he is going to surprise Bai and crawl right after her.
No to the hot air balloon ride. Not me; just watching them go. I still am holding out hope to be able to see Open House. It looks grim tho.
SUZANNE Wanda said last evening that she was going to check in some thime early this morning. Probably before she gets her "motor" running at the shop for the day. She does have to sit down and have her first cup of coffee to get her started! :(
Oh, I misunderstood. Thought you were gonna go on the baloon ride. When I'm not on, I usually print the blogs to read later, but sometimes I kinda skim over them. Hope you can pop in to the open house even for a little while.
Frieda stepped away from fuzzies, she's looking at them. Heron still right in front of cam, and Bai woke up and left. Can't see Squiggles so she might have taken her with her.
It is daylight at Pete's Pond, and birds are chirping away, but no wildlife in sight. They seem to be having trouble focusing the cam as it is fuzzy off and on.
Don't know Candy, hard to tell, cam is B&W at this hour. Sure is pretty, though. Sunrise at Peggy's Cove too, beautiful. Poof, Heron just left this refresh. Was there a long time. Where's Robyn, she usually gets up by now. Has to take Tori to school.
WELL, GOOD MORNING TO THE REST OF THE CREW THAT WILL BE ON LATER. I see someone saw an eagle in the SC nest. I couldn't get a clear pic on there yesterday and had a lot of static. Never saw anything in any of the other nests; even in Washington.
SUZANNE and all of you have a nice Monday. Prayers for Mits and her family, Robyn... hang in there. Soon you will be with Tori back at home again, and this separation will be a thought in the past. You all have a fun day watching nature at it's finest!
SUZANNE Robyn will be in the midst of getting her floors measured and done and trying to make up for lost time when she had back problems. She said she would be in from time to time. Probably with her coffee this morning, I imagine, You have a safe trip home and a nice time chatting with everyone, BBL
Candy, you have a great Monday, if that's possible. But have a good day, enjoy the nice weather we're supposed to have, I think. I'll send ya any pics we get of the kids, if the cam comes up in time! Darn, just looked at the time, guess it won't...our eagles are due in about 15-20 minutes or so, so guess we'll miss this morning's visit.

Good evening everyone.
Don't give it a second thought, Eagle Eye! You'll spot them!
Glad your day turned out HAPPY!
Thanks, Wanda and all, I know your prayers are with my family, will let you all know as soon as I can...GOOD NIGHT EAGLE BUDDIES
Good night, Mits!
Good Night Mits
Sure do like your new picture, Sharon
Thank you Mema Jo!
HI SHARON--
Who is the kid with Killer Dimples?
Could that be Andrew?
JO--I'm getting really excited now that my Granddaughter has agreed to help me out. I thought I would only be able to run down to NCTC for lunch and that's all. Now we can do it all!
The dimpled kid would be Andrew, Wanda! Handsome young feller, even if I do have to say so myself!
Good night and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur!
GOOD NIGHT TO YOU SHARON--

GOOD NIGHT, ALL/GOOD MORNING TO THE FIRST DAY OF A NEW WEEK....
JIM
Present and accounted for Wanda.
Good morning, Suz, everybody.
I am getting very sleepy now, so I probably won't make it till you start up for the day...
Have a very good day.
Jim
Chicks are visible in front of Frieda.
Jim
Good morning, world. Good morning, Jim. You still up? Have to open a few things when I come in, I'm usually the first one here, so it has to be done.
Don't have any cams open, but did see Steven's note about the locked up cam, so guess it's still locked.
Beautiful night out, 56° at home, 59° here. Beautiful little over half moon and lots of star, for the most part. Some whispy fog in other places, but nice out.
All have a great eagle/panda day.
Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Ewwwww, green screen. Darn. So ok, that goes off...
Bai must have had bamboo in one paw, Squiggles in the other. She ate a couple bites, picked up Squiggles, now washing. Guess we're gonna nurse.
Wow, the heron moved up right in front of the cam. How cool is that. Moved again, closer. If he gets any closer, he's gonna knock the cam!
Phew, Heron just flew off. I was worried he was gonna knock the cam out of alignment, he was right in front of it!
Frieda has fuzzballs under her wings, and Bai and Squiggles have settled down. Think feeding time is over, and it's panda nap time.
Wow, heron just flew back in BW.
Heron still hanging out at BW, Bai and Squiggles sleeping in den, Frieda has both babies in front of her, and they're asleep.
BBIALW...
Oh, Candy, I forgot! You're right, they induce her DIL today! How cool, we'll have a new Eaglet Momster! Little tiny one, cool!
Right SUZANNE. I don't know the time, but there is excitement in the air today for MITS, DIL, and a new little addition to our Eaglet Momster group.
Heron just moved right in front of the cam. Beautiful, isn't he?
Candy, look at the heron! Up close and personal!!!
Wow! Nice close up of heron. He must know that he is on TV! :) He is in the spotlight at BW!
Frieda stepped away from fuzzies, she's looking at them.
Heron still right in front of cam, and Bai woke up and left. Can't see Squiggles so she might have taken her with her.
He is looking right at you SUZANNE!
Bai's back. Heron still hanging right in front of cam. Frieda back next to babies.
I wonder if it is the same heron on all the visits. I don't know how to tell. We surely see some beautiful wildlife up close on here.
Oh, ok, thanks Candy. Haven't read the blogs. Take care, and talk to you tomorrow if you're up!
Eagle just arrived BW!!
GOOD MORNING SUZ AND CANDY--
I think I just missed you Candy.
SUZ--From what I read, they probably won't get our Cam back on til afternoon. Bummer!
