I am a WVU fan. Concord has only had 1 home game last Saturday and I went to see Andrew and left after half time was over. It was great. I love my kid!

looks like no cam operator on duty at NZ...cam not moving. I would really like to be trained on the cam...the other day the relief did not show up for the cam operator, and, if I had training I could have relieved her.

Jo, I got to see the new girls the other day, and they are sooooo cute..........I love CHUBETTE, she is a chunky one.

Found some pics of glacier bay last night. Really pretty place.
Anne is on the last lap of her cruise. Glaciers today & Ketchikan AK tomorrow. Then it's 2 days on the sea until she docks at San Francisco. I guess those 2 days will be ship party days!
The last day of a Cruise is very sad. It was hard for me to enjoy it because I knew the fun was over.

I'm with ya Jo, I like Squiggles and when she gets bit bigger, Scooter when she starts scooting all over the place like she did the other day. But I like Squiggles/Scooter. She's a cutie whatever we name her.
You'll have to forgive the Capt. for trying to change Squiggles name. He has his own name for everyone. For instance, he calls me Tiger. Anyone he doesn't know, he calls "George"
We once had a customer and Gene called him George and that was really his name.
Our Granddaughter brought her boyfriend here for us to meet and his name was George. So Funny....

Too funny, Wanda. I had a cat in Turkey, was sitting at a pub outside and this cute little cat curled up in the chair next to me. I called it George, just looked like a George. Turns out it was a Georgette, but by then she stayed George!
No George sightings as far as I know, but it is going to be fun watching them do the nestoration on that nest, they have alot of work ahead of them.

Jim, Mommy had the heat on 90 last month when it was about 65 outside one morning. This house was cooking!
Mits - Is the zoo thinking this time together, Mei and Tian, might help come mating time? I know they are thinking of not trying it with those two next year.
My Mom too SHARON. She has a gas fireplace and takes the chill off each morning even when it is 70 outside. She is getting up in years and feels the cold temps. more so than we do.
Paula, it is normal for them to be together, have been since they were 2, the only time they spend apart is when she had Tai are was going thru her false pregnancy....the jury is still out about next years mating, they were together after shye was inseminated this year. Its not that they don't want them to mate, but Tians' gene-pool is ok...they want to get more gene-pools out there.
That's right, I read that on the blog from your friends site. That's why they inseminated Mei with Gao Gao's sperm - because his gene pool is from the wild.

Speaking of Tian Tian, about a year ago, the National Zoo mentioned that he had a less than impressive sperm test, and they were getting a sample from Gao Gao just in case.
That made me wonder if using Gao Gao this year also had something to do with that.

Looks like ice in the water at Glacier Bay
Hi Jo, Just read the blogs and saw your question about glacier bay. That is really something to see. First you have icebergs floating around the boat. Not big but you can see down in the water how deep they go. They are white on top of water and a beautiful blue underneath. When you get to the glacier ship drops anchor for quite awhile. You are pretty close and get to hear and see the glacier calving into the water and hear the sounds it makes.The glacier not all white but a pretty blue green color. It is so quiet and still and then all of a sudden the the calving starts and the sound is loud and if you look carefully you can see when the next one will begin and watch it happen. Anne will love this. Hope she takes lots of pictures I have so many of this area
