I had another idea on the word verification.
I don't believe there's any need for it after you have signed in the first time, and just doing it once wouldn't be too much, for me anyway.
Why all these silly reps when a SPAMMER can't get past the first one???

Jo, cute video. I see the black birds. I was reading on the Wildwatch page, you can't get into where the heron are, but you can stand on a bridge and use binoculars.

Good Morning, world. Another Monday. Wonder what new things this day will bring. I see we a)don't have an NCTC cam, the entire FWS website is down, and b) we don't have a BW baby yet. I was wondering, nobody called, so I didn't think so. Sure hope those eggs are viable!!! Yesterday was day 36 for egg #1. Maybe this morning!!!
Not so bad this morning, 37° in PA, 39° here. Nice weekend too, and no snow/rain/ice/wind. Not too shabby a day.
Have to check out other cams, and try to see what I missed.
All have a great eagle/panda day.

Seems like I've been to bed longer, but the clock says it's only been a bit more than an hour!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend, Suz. No, BW didn't hatch, yet; and no, Norfolk didn't lay again yet. WV cam was down all day, Sunday. Don't know if they're starting up the ancient curse of the weekend cam again or not. What do you think?
Some of the other nests like FL are moving along as expected.

The Santa Ana winds are back tonight and are roaring through apartment buildings.
Humidity, which is normally in the 70% or higher range, has dropped to 6%!
Went out to my Dodge 'pocket rocket' last evening to go to the supermarket...the battery barely cranked the engine over, but it did start. Battery is having its 5th birthday about now...4 yr. warranty. But it's too early to tell if it is the battery or the fact I haven't been driving it as often and haven't charged it up. I'll either be able to charge it or will have to replace it in the morning.

Jim, sorry I missed you. But I hope you do get some sleep! After an hour in bed for me, I am totally out. Usually sleep pretty good, just sometimes it takes me a while to get to sleep.
I don't have a cam on NCTC, or a couple of the other owl/eagle cams (CO) is down, but the rest I watch are up. BW eagle hasn't moved much since I brought the cam up, so s/he's not restless, so not hearing an egg crack or feeling movement.
Sorry about your car battery! Try to run it and charge it for a while, maybe that will help. But it will only postpone the inevitable. Once they're down, hard to keep a charge in them. And they die at the most inopportune time!
OH, BW eagle just woke up. Wiggly pic, but head is up. Now let's see what they're gonna do. Still a little early yet for them to be staying awake. Looks like egg turning. Yup, turned eggs now head still up kinda looking forward. Too bad not looking down at eggs soon to be babies. Oh, head going back under wing. Or maybe not. Just half way towards back. Time will tell, I guess. Ok, gonna stay awake and look around. Let's hope for a hatch soon.

Tai is just now waking up, he stretched and grabbed a piece of bamboo. Now he's gonna sit down and lean against the rocks and eat it. Tesoro just had some big wing flaps by the oldest eaglet. Can't hardly see them, only silhouettes. ME is MT. Can't get NBG up. It was up this morning, now just black screen. PA is MT, and the flamingos are waking up in the water. Our BW eagle is still sleeping, and BWO is MT. Oh, more wing flaps in Tesoro. Wow, that guy looks ready to go any second. They're banding them today, aren't they?
Owl in hotel, but half awake, half asleep.
Now the other Tesoro eagle has decided to do wing flaps. Our BW eagle is awake and waiting for either a switch, or breakfast.
Good Morning to all;
News from Wanda.. They headed south Saturday morning - got as far as Mt Jackson VA when extremely strong winds ripped the awning off the motor home. Daddy's hands got cut up pretty bad while trying to fix the awning in the wind. They had to wait 2 hours for Roadside service to come and temporarily attach it so they could drive on. They reached Tennessee yesterday around 2:00 - headed for Chatanooga to fix the motorhome. She was is great spirits considering..... She says not to worry because they have 16 days before they need to be in Vegas. She is taking good care of Daddy's hands and will get him to a doctor if need be. Never a dull moment with our family. LOL!!! I'll keep you posted on their travels. Have a wonderful day!!!

BWE just turned eggs again, but right back down. Lost the PA cam, but got it back opened right away. TEsoro eaglets have settled down, now just waiting for food, I'm sure. I keep getting a message press SPACEBAR, etc across the Tesoro cam, and I can't make it go away. Not a good day for cams at my end!!
In looking at the 10-day forecast for Shepherdstown, it does not look like there is any snow in the forecast! YEAH! I hope it stays that way!

Something is in ME nest, but no idea what it is. Just popped up, looked like it is in the nest. If I didn't know better, I'd swear it was an eaglet, fuzzy one. But they don't even have eggs yet, so that can't be. Sure wish it would stick it's head up again.

Suzanne, BW rolled the eggs several times last night. She would lay on them for a while, get up, turn around, lay down, get up peak at the eggs, lay down, get up, turn them, lay down, then start over. 15-20 minutes was teh most she spent "asleep"
Egg turning, BW. Can't see the eggs, though, and she's right back on them.
