Thanks for part 2, Steven....Good morning everyone:)
Good morning Mits!
Thanks Steve. You do good work. Thanks for the heads up Helen.
SISSY AND RED....did get to see MEI & TIAN playing this a.m., as long as they play nice, its fine, just hate when they fight.
mean while at the ranch........---THANKS STEVEN & HELEN for the new update!!!
I missed the eagle visit, but the pics this a.m. were wonderful.
They played for a long time. They look exhausted now. :)

Thanks, Steve for posting and Dana for sending the pic of L & B
MORNIN' "TGIF--PAULA!!!---Glorious morning!!---ho!
Mei and Tian love to wrestle for a while but I think she gets sick of him pretty quick.
and she gets sick of him fast, he loves to play...I just don't like it when they get ruff, Tian always ends up the one getting hurt
What was it Mommy used to say "It's all fun and games till someone gets hurt".
Mommy was a smart lady, Sissy
Okay Eagle Buds, I have tried to make my contribution to the Eagle Society this morning...put up a new album on the Momsters Photo Albums page, is entitled "Summer/Autumn 2008 NCTC Eagle Photos," is on the last page, right after SEA EAGLES. Double E-Sharon and I hatched the plan this morning...IT'S OPEN TO ALL TO ADD...I might have to clean mine up a little, as I am such a NEWBIE ! but it's a pretty cool little slide show....
Now, with a little Randy Travis "Worship and Faith" to get me going for the REST of the day, gotta find something RED to wear.Take Care All.Your friend, Magpie !! xo
Friday, September 5Lun Lun and the cub are still doing great, and the cub weighed 165.4 grams at his most recent exam. One thing I find quite interesting is that Lun Lun seems to prefer the left side of her nest box just as she did with Mei Lan, she spends most of her time curled up with the cub in this location. Although, occasionally she moves over to the center of the nest box, within several minutes she always shifts back to her favorite corner.Kate RocaCarnivore Keeper II
oh, sorry mits. I will delete mine.
Good morning everyone. Have that silly computer training this morning but host is late so have a minute to pop in and say Hi. Loved the pictures from this mornings visit. I think they are preparing the nest for their own very special visitors in Oct.
Have a good day, GLO - So nice to "see" you, and everyone else this morning..TTFN xo
FROM LISANest Update09/05/08:We've now seen two bald eagles on the nest with some food. We also briefly saw a lone osprey, but it could be a bird that is migrating through. Also, visit our Eagle Cam page to see a recent photo of our adults on the nest.
Good Morning - It has taken me a while to get through emails upon emails and then tried to catch up with comments since I signed off last night! Thanks so much for all the pics of this mornings nest activities.I have a feeling that they have been there fixing things up - Like Glo says they are sprucing up for Oct visit from all the Momsters! Update from Mason's Mom & Dad just minutes ago
Good morning, everyone. I slept in this morning and really needed that. I am still a little tired. I am not going over to the lake until later today. It is sprinkling here, I hope we get some good moisture.
I smell Bacon! Two of my daughters are fixing Brunch! I have been invited! Would I say NO to my daughters - I'm out of here!Mits, Have a safe journey home. Let us know when you arrive.I'll touch base in the afternoon hours.

THREE PART MORNIN'----MOVIN'JIM---DEB---& JO!!!----------DEB---Keep the rain we don't WANT ANY RAIN until Mon.----ho!----send it on then!!!--
Sometime next week, I will be getting back to normal. We think our birds have started their journey down the river. :( It is scary to see them go, but instinct and nature tell them when to leave. We only could account for 6 osprey yesterday. Have a good brunch, Jo.
I'll try, Norma. We need the rain here, so it would be nice if it stayed!
Thanks for the link to Mason's site, Mema Jo.Wow, that song-poem that Gloria Estevan (sp?) and her husband wrote is really some basic soul stuff...beautiful.C(°ﮡ°)DJim

Drive safe, Mits. Are lots of people heading out today?
Frodocam still doesn't show much action; BUT the Alcoa nest, which is in the far southeastern corner of AU, has just come on-line again ... although their pair laid the first egg on Aug 29th. Guess they waited until the third egg was laid to flick the cam on.I'll put the bluie link below.C(°ﮡ°)DJim Alcoa Peregrine nest

Last night I found this report on the Channel Islands site. And while you're there you can read the Catalina one too, if you haven't read it already.C(°ﮡ°)DJim Channel Island Reports
Yes, Mits, have a safe and pleasant drive back to the high ground. Are you stopping at BW this trip??C(°ﮡ°)DJim
yes, Jim up to date on Finney's nest, thanks for the Alcoa site, pretty pink nesting box
No, Jim ,not this time, although I would love too, would take me about 25 mins of the main RT 50, so once I get going, don't want to side track til I get over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
Good morning everyone. Thanks Jim for the update on the Channel Island eagles. Great pictures from Cedrick and Stephanie. Love the Alcoa nest.

All righty Mits, head on outta there and try to beat some of the traffic...That's a pretty heavy duty weather forecast for the nest few days for this area...Safe Afternoon, all..xo

Thanks for capturing pics!Better check e-mail before my eyes close. BBL!
Safe trip, Mits!Ceil, do you have any pics from your trip??
Candy....wherefore art thou Candy? Battened down, safe and sound? Hope so!
My comments were stuck for awhile. Have to catch up from #59.Jim thanks for the Alcoa site.Afternoon all eagle friends and cam watchers.Just seen on news for Vero Beach, Fl. this is the time for the sea turtles nesting. The winds and waves (from storm) are taking a toll on their poor nest; so sad.
From CT Osprey nest:Sept. 2, 2008: It's not over yet! At least one Osprey chick is still hanging around the nest (see photo at right, taken today). We believe the 2 adults and its 3 siblings may have already departed on their southbound migration.Maybe we'll get to see "Oscar" my seagull showing up there. Like last season he really enjoyed that nest. As a lot of you know and seen.
There's a Buddy update under the "Rehab" heading this afternoon.C(°ﮡ°)DJim Short Buddy update

They did have the baby panda and Lun Lun on cam live. Since they had to take baby from Mom I think it was on Monday. Put baby in incubator but out and back with mom and doing well. I think they are just waiting and giving mom and baby less stress.
Here Nilla Friday, September 5Lun Lun and the cub are still doing great, and the cub weighed 165.4 grams at his most recent exam. That was cute, Red! Enjoy.I am asking all to please watch the Stand Up for Cancer show tonight...8pm east coast...not sure what exactly they are planning to do, but have to say that there IS life after cancer, there is not enough research funding (especially for lung) and since almost everyone will be affected at some point, whether it is self, family or friend, it is important to be informed! TY!!
Dana, did the Finney pic come through the 2nd time around?? If not, I'll send it to your other e-mail address!
Hedgie, you could put the pic in the album of Sea Eagles that was started on the Momsters site. Also I have heard from Diane & she isn't attending Open House but plans next season to be at our Nest Visit and plans to stay lots longer! I gave her our cares and concerns!
Howdy Friday Evening Eagle Buds:If you have a chance, look at the picture of the two eagles on the main page, the Second thread picture: check out the Eagle on the right....can you really "see" the lower part of the body? Zoo Atlanta will announce total funds collected for the China Earthquake Relief Fund during the birthday bash. Jo, I found this on their site:)
That's okay, DANA - think we have all been speed-reading today! Can't remember who had BACON, who didn't get what pictures....It's just a measure of all our enthusiasm for keeping up I think !xo

Big Panda Birthday doin's Saturday at Atlanta...No Wonder Sissy wants to be a Panda !!
Well, @#$%*&^!! We lost the game. That is the pits!!But we live to fight another day. Margy, the tail is towards 11 o'clock. That is a cool image though.Well, gonna hit the hay. My husband is having alot of back trouble again. Ya'll pray for him. All this pain really wears him down.
ok, must be a cruise ship.....poor Tom, Sissy....did he find any ginseng?
Kelloggs has come out with a new cereal, partnered with Animal Planet: "Wild Animal Crunch" which is a vanilla and chocolate flavored cereal - maybe you all have seen these: There are different animals on the Boxes: INCLUDING PANDA !!
Goodnight, Megan and Margie!! Sorry you have to work tomorrow.Prayers for peaceful sleep.
Mits, he found some, not a whole lot. He enjoys the time in the woods so much, it is fine with him. But since he went he has really been having a time out of his back. Had surgery last November and just ain't doing too good. Maybe resting for the weekend will help.
I was thinking that could aggravate it
there might be another boat docked near the Finland nest
Yeah, and as much as we love going to the lake, the setting up and tearing down of the camp is not easy on his back either. So, I am going to try to get him to take the muscle relaxers the doc gave him and rest. He don't like they way they make him feel, so he don't take em.
I don't blame him....
Sissy - Back Pain can be a royal pain in the proverbial Butt ! Saps your energy just like that! I hope Tom will feel better soon after some good Panda Rest !My sciatica acts up a LOT - drains me greatly....HEDGIE: You are speed -reading !I don't go in until midnight Saturday night, and MEGAN delivered flowers already for two events...I think she gets to stay home in the rain !But We Love You Just the Same !xoxoxox
We'll need to have Sissy tell us about Tom's Ginseng digging adventure. If the "Ginseng root is reputed to lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels, protect against stress, enhance strength and promote relaxation" I would have kept a bushel for myself!
yep, boat anchored on the left side of the screen

Evening to some that are hitting the hay.I found the Mei Lan pic somewhere on the Atlanta site. They were telling about the big party, I think what Helen posted.I bet we really won't be able to see much of the party until they post something later. :>(Saw some of the CA show. Sorry to hear about your friend Margy. We also have good friend that had lung CA. He had surgery, etc. & has been fine for many years.
Boo, Beavers lost. Hope Tom feels better---if he takes the muscle relaxers at bedtime, then the knockout part won't bother him.Not too good during the day, tho.

Hoodie at Fin on the water
Oooh, Nature Nut, that Fog at Finney's Land Nest is Mystical...and the little sailboat is a charmer at the Water Nest...those Sea Eagles might be out in a bit...I saw a bird there last week, and after looking at my bird books, I think it was a Great Skua or some kind of Glaucous or Herring Gull. By the time I captured it, it was nose down and I got the feather colors but not the beak ! Paula was going to check for some Eurasion Bird Sources for me...It was sitting on the nest with a Hooded Crow...
Well, we'll just start with a Hooded Crow for now at Finney Water Nest...
GOOD NIGHT, EVERY EAGLE LOVER....hOPE you have a very interesting weekend...C(°ﮡ°)DJim
good morning my fine eagle momster and dadsters
I hope everyone stays safe from the weather today.
