GOOD MORNIN' EAGLE BUDDIES, II!!-- Just finished my morning monologue on the old thread!!---THANKS--STEVEN for the new thread & THANKS RED for calling us over!!--ENJOY THIS GLORIOUS WEEKEND!!---LIFE IS GOOD THE HILLS OF WV!!!----ENJOY ALL--
LUN LUN & little RHETT/LUN are still cuddled up & snoozing--- light is dim in their room!---SISSY---I'll drive the get-away car if you wish to snatch him from LUN LUN!!---ho!!
Good Morning - Hope everyone is well and enjoying their Saturday. Need to read on the previous thread to see who was here earlier & then hit my emails!
Saturday, September 20 Today the cub is 3 weeks (21 days) old! This morning he weighed 603.3 grams. When Lun Lun is resting, her favorite place to hold the cub is underneath her chin. Now that the cub is big enough to see occasionally, I often see him curled up in the fold of her neck or lying on her arm under her chin. I guess this is a good place for Lun Lun to hold him while she sleeps since she does not have to support the cub -- the curve of her neck supports him without much effort from her. Heather Baker Roberts Keeper I, Carnivore Department
I did get to see a glance of baby Lun last night...enough to see that black coming in. He is 20 days old today. I think I read that he has more than doubled his size from birth. Sounds like a healthy little fella.
oh dear, that is the insurance we have.....yea, I missed seeing Luney, when I got there Lun was leaning over him...Giant Panda cubs start to get their black and white markings starting around 10 days old.....thanks, Wanda I will take my time
Afternoon Eagle/Panda Buds!! Have a great Sat. Atlanta looks very dark today-must be dim bulb DUH!
Norma, saw you would drive the getaway car. Last night I suggested we rent Panda costumes from Wanda & pull a heist! I don't want to steal him, just hug him!!!
Sorry if I've missed them, but have safe travels, Helen & Paula. (I know Paula's doing lawn now. Be easier if she "moved" it.)
Karla's car is sitting in the middle of a parking lot, can't be moved because the fender is jammed into the tire....insurance company says they can't do anything til Monday because they don't work on the weekend. They will tow it then, but not now! Getting a load of wood...BBL
Hello folks! Another busy blog day, I see. Aren't we something? Safe trips for Paula, Megan and Helen! Hope there's a good turnout at the park, Margy. Good cause. I knew Margy's sister...she was a great gal; so sad that she is gone. Wanda, where did Karla get hit? Miracle that the offender confessed! Had a couple of hours of noisy starlings roosting here this am. I swear I think there were 50 of them! Nurse on duty...waiting for sil's brother to come to see if I can get fiberglass out of his eye...thought I'd gotten away from that stuff when I retired, LOL! Margy, or Helen or Paula....I would love to know how to do the bluey thing, too! I can't even figure out how Jo types in blue or Jim types in bold face...maybe it's just my computer...maybe I need a different toolbar showing..hmmmmm...will need to check that out!
Hi Hedgie, At BWO we often see the turkey buzzards or vultures.. We have always referred to them as eewwiiiiies. I don't think we all spell it exactly the same - but that is what it means.
Good Afternoon to everyone, except still Good Morning to our Western Buddies... Alzheimer's Walk had good attendance... it was to be a short walk, mostly around the area of the park. Many adults in wheelchairs, and kids in strollers...
Headed back to bed soon, due in at midnight and I was up burning the midnight oil for too long last night!
Best wishes for Good Rest, Good Play, and Restored Health...with good food wishes thrown in, and NO SNAKES!
Take care Paula and I'll be thinking of you and your mom.
Yes Hedgie you have tons of emails!
Let's see those bold blue italicized word on here. And maybe you could give us a link or two! Since Paula is leaving and Margy is going to panda nap - holler at me if you need anything. I'll be here until 4:30.. then out the door to Mass.
Speaking of TV...the digital channel thing is neat, Wanda...the pic is even clearer than Satellite. Not one spec of snow. And I can finally get Ch. 25 perfectly. A lot of the stations already have extra channels up and running. They are numbered like 9.1, 9.2, 7.1, 7.2, etc. up to how many they have. 7 has one that is old 1/2 shows all the time!
Got to go fix supper...stuffed peppers. Stuffed with ground round and italian sausage. See peppers on Wild and Wonderful. Remember when I planted 24 plants in the Spring? They have done fairly well, but I think they needed more sun. We don't have a lot of sunny spots because of the trees. BBL
Come on over Helen, peppers are almost done. I hope they taste as good as they smell. I used all of the ones that were in the basket. Hope that I can get GeeGee to eat some of them.

Greetings from Malvern, PA. I'm back in charge at the rehab, Syl is back in S Town for a wedding this weekend. I'm gone for the balance of the week so when I come back to the hospital they probably wonder who the guy is with the Fender, Boston Red Sox, Bach Trumpet and New York Yankee baseball hats. They get used to me soon enough. Thanks so much everybody for the dedications, the fundraisers and the support, it is hard to express how much all these things mean to us.
I missed the OT and PT Friday but talked with the ST (speech therapist) and we are working on tastes, Dr. Pepper, Vanila Puddding, pistachio, lemon zingers etc. W'ere working on food, so we can do that. I showed Mason the messages from friends and family from the Clarion fundraiser Friday night, this will be a very useful tool over the next few months This morning was such a beautiful morning up here I had Mason outside for about 2 1/2 hours, strolling, reading with him, chasing Mr. Gower the goose with the wheel chair, until I got dirty looks from somebody. It wore him out for his therapy in the afternoon, couldn't wake him up for anything.
Mason is definitely scheduled for his re installation October 3rd. He will go back to Baltimore on the 2nd and stay 3 to 5 days as long as all goes well. Looks like we will be back to Ronald McDonald House for a bit. We hope they have a room. We like them over in Baltimore, it will be nice to see them. He'll be ready for visitors and music soon after. The weekend is the best, his therapy sessions are light, so its good to have the extra stimulation. We can't help out with places to stay, but the drive is not so bad. Just let us know what the plan is.
Love to All Brian and Mason The Berkeley County High School Orchestra will perform Sunday, September 28, 4:00 P.M. at the Presbyterian Church in Shepherdstown. Mason played with this orchestra when they first started and, I think, played every concert up until he graduated last year. This is Eva Price's Orchestra and we love everything she does.
"Shepherd Three, the Faculty Wind Trio from Shepherd University, will present a Benefit Concert for Mason Ellsworth and Luke McCormick at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 12th, at the Shepherdstown Train Station. A reception will follow the concert.
Anne Munro (flute), Gregory Shook (oboe) and Richard Polonchak (bassoon) together form Shepherd Three. They are all faculty members at Shepherd’s Department of Music and members of The Two Rivers Chamber Orchestra. The Trio will be joined by harpsichordist Laura Renninger, Coordinator of Music History and Appreciation. The program will include music by Bach, Mozart, Blavet, Telemann and Vivaldi and will feature a performance of a new “jazz-inspired” trio written especially for Shepherd Three by Mark Cook, Coordinator of the Theory Division at Shepherd.
All proceeds from the concert will go to the Ellsworth Family Fund to help with medical expenses resulting from Mason Ellsworth’s recent automobile accident. Mason, who graduated from Jefferson High School in May, studies the bassoon with Richard Polonchak and was planning to study music at Shepherd in the fall. Mason also played bassoon in Shepherd University’s Preparatory Orchestra where he worked with Anne Munro and the orchestra’s conductor, Dr. Mark McCoy. Luke McCormick, 22, of Charles Town, died in a motorcycle accident on August 19th in Morgantown. He was a student at West Virginia University. The Ellsworth and McCormick families have always been very close and Alicia McCormick (Luke’s mother) has asked that all monies donated in memory of Luke be given to the Ellsworth Family Fund for Mason’s medical treatment
What are you two hollering about - As if I didn't know... Just finished dinner and came over to the computer late as usual.......... Glad you two saw the evening visit.
Wanda I would not be tippy toeing around the house - I would be loudly stomping so that if any slithering critter were near by would get out of my way.
The peppers were sooo good. I love the flavor that green peppers give a dish...but don't like the peppers themselves. So that is why I decided to grow so many red and yellow and orange plants. They didn't do as well as they should have...I think because of the lack of enough sun. I had one red, one yellow and a half of an orange one. Wish I could give some to all of you! Maybe some day, I will invite you ALL over for a BBQ...when our life settles down a bit.
Yes, that is a good idea, Helen. We have a friend that has grown the spaghetti squash this year and has promised me some. Hope he comes through. They can be prepared in so many ways.
Just caught up on today, beautiful peppers, I haven't had stuffed peppers in years. I just might have to make some. Pretty soon everyone will be able to make click-able links!!
Wanda, what kind of snake did you have in your house?
DEB...the snake moved so quickly, that all I could see was a dark color. Black snakes don't move as fast as this on did, but garter snakes do...I think that must be what it was...is.
Don't like peppers but love the stuffing that nephews wife puts in them. She had some big green peppers she grew. So big you could only eat one. Although like I said like the flavor but not the pepper itself.
Speaking of headlights...my old car had automatic headlights that came on when it got dark and turned themselves off when I got to my destination. New car doesn't have that and I drove all the way through town with no lights (could'nt tell with all the other lights) Cars started flashing their lights at me on the highway and then, I did realize what was going on. Did I tell you that I have blonde roots?
Well you get use to a car your driving. Getting a different one things always aren't in the same place. Plus don't always work the same. Don't know about "blonde roots" Wanda but do know they don't make cars the same. Too much to get use too.
Hi, I'm back and blue!!LOL Had ribs for dinner & Caesar salad. Too full to have any beans and rice. I KNEW a big bird would appear when I left! See Atlanta put the lights on for bedtime---go figure.
Boy Wanda what am I hearing !! You can turn the light on at night for the snake but not while driving in the car in the dark! lol
I am also spoiled with my Toyota since the lights automatically go on when you start the car and go off when the engine is stopped. I had burned up so many batteries by leaving my lights on that this car is a blessing!
Helen, I said I had blonde roots...I didn't think to check the manuel. Thanks
Jo, I repeat, I HAVE BLONDE ROOTS!
Loretta, yes the lights are staying on. As I sit here in my office, I have my feet proped up on a little stool under my desk, just to make sure nothing slithers across my feet.
Dana that is great because then you can't run your battery down. I like to drive and see other cars in the daytime with lights on. I just think it is a good safety factor.
Toby almost met his maker yesterday, he attacked scooby over supper. I feed them dry dog food but decided to add some of my pot roast gravy to their food and toby attacked scooby causing him to bleed I had to stick my hands around his mouth to remove him from scooby's head. Both are fine but in the few weeks we have toby this is the second time he attacked scooby over table food. I am assuming the former owners only fed toby table scraps and never dog food.
I am going to call the vet tomorrow and inquire about scooby and ask if this is normal what toby did. I will get rid of toby regardless how much we adore him if this hapens again.
Robyn...rescued dogs make wonderful pets. My grandaughter found a dog tied to a tree in the woods, with a note saying "Free". He was starved and had been abused. Jill, took him home and nursed him back to good health. He seems to love her with all his heart. She can't give him up now. She has 3 rescued dogs and a cat.
Robyn, try always feeding Toby first. Dominant dogs do better when they are greeted first, fed first, etc. I read that somewhere. It is worth a try. I feed my dogs in separate rooms because one eats so fast and wants the other's food, not because of fights.
Not sure Robyn if Toby can be trained NOT to attack over the food.. I know what you are saying about Scooby being first priority. If you have to give up Toby - hopefully you can find a home without another dog. Toby is a beautiful animal. Scooby shouldn't have to put up with that though. Keep the gravy on your table! lol
I can't believe it has been Fair Week and no rain whatsoever. We used to always see lots of rain during this week. So glad it missed us as I'm sure the Fair Goers appreciated it.
LOL, yes Jo, we don't make it a point to feed table scraps but once in a while. I feed toby outside now and scooby inside. They get along but right now I am leery. Toby is terrified of the 1 yr old kitten, he was whimpering yesterday and when I walked to the back of the house she had toby blocked in my bedroom as she stood in the doorway lol, it is funny watching him go out of his way to avoid her, he has cleaned the middle kitty I only hope he isn't cleaning his next meal j/k.
We use to have a dog that would clean our kittens (they were all outside pets) and one day it was so cold that the kittens had ice blobs all over them.
Robyn, I have to agree that feeding them in seperate rooms is probably best. When I had to take in my sisters' dog Georgia Brown, she and my little dog Ginger had the same problem. Ginger would even urinate in GB's dish so that she couldn't eat her own food!
Something was going on at the Club House (GOLF) with fireworks out behind the house. My cat climbed under the table in the front room and would NOT come out. Poor thing was so scared. I have no idea what was being celebrated-possibly a wedding?????
I gues it is hard for an animal who was kept on a lead in all types of weather fo 7 mths of their life with no real interaction, except the pesky kids they had picking on him.
Ginger was 1/4 size of GB, but she was definitely alpha, and never let GB forget it. But when she passed, GB really missed her. GB was a rescued dog and absolutely showed appreciation for everything done for her. She was our Sweet Georgia Brown. Ginger was a shelter dog, but she had been raised by a sweet elderly lady who passed away, not abused as GB had been. My sister found her in the median along interstate 95 in GA.
It does take time for an abused animal to learn to trust. But if he was starved, they never lose that fear of being hungry, Robyn, so aggression w/ food is not unusual.
Yes, Wanda. She has two more weeks on the antibiotics and then they'll do another urine culture. The a/b was causing her to itch, but vet didn't want to change it since it's the best choice, so put her on 25 mg. Benadryl, so now she sleeps alot!
That is what we figured Hedgie, they most likely fed him when they could most likely dinner foods after they ate, they really didn't have much but if you have no desire to bring a dog in why bother getting one. Our pets are like family, being a city girl living in the country I still have fears of letting out cats outside.
Margy...beep,beep,beep...alarm going off! Time to go to work! Heard them say on the scanner that they had over 20,000 people through the gate at the Air Show!
...I am Up for the Count...I see those glowing deer eyes at Pix PA, guess it is a DOE - Enjoyed reading everyone's comments, but I have to admit, I am kinda hungry now ! And I wish I had some cats and dogs, glad I don't have SNAKES! And I haven't seen my feathery thousand-leggers tonight.
Can't wait to try some BLUE THINGS Sunday.
Good Evening to Everyone, Sleep Well, I will be at work until 8 am.
Oh yes, I did set alarm to watch ISS - It was a nice view, bright as Jupiter and stayed glowing across about 75% of the sky view. (then I went back to bed)
Sorry I missed everyone! xoxo
(deer has disappeard, got up and moved around a little I guess.)
Yep the time was moving but the pic was messed since about 8:35am. Lisa got message and probably fixed the cam. Eagle able to put wings down now....and changing positions. ( : cam good now...

I'm checking out, headed for the pillows, one more midnight tonight...better get my sleep in since I am insomniac, takes longer to get enough good rest!

I'M HOLLERING, IS ANY ONE ELSE WATCHING??
YES, DEB....I SEE IT
LOOKS LIKE BELLE
DARN...POOF!
OH, GOOD, darn, all gone.
Maybe someone will come back. I tried to holler loud enough for Wanda to hear, but she must still be eating.
Well if I were eating what she is eating.....I would have taken a pass on seeing the eagle
What are you two hollering about -
As if I didn't know... Just finished dinner and came over to the computer late as usual..........
Glad you two saw the evening visit.
I heard you hollering, but I am a little slow today. I have to watch where I am walking...You know! Thanks, anyway!
I was looking at Wanda's Wishes and those beautiful peppers.... I know what you mean about Wanda's dinner!
Yummy
Wanda I would not be tippy toeing around the house - I would be loudly
stomping so that if any slithering critter were near by would get out of my way.

Wanda, those peppers are gorgeous, I like to saute different colored peppers, stir in a little marinara sauce... and put them over spaghetti squash

Almost missed the visit was reading the great update on Mason.
Just caught up on today, beautiful peppers, I haven't had stuffed peppers in years. I just might have to make some. Pretty soon everyone will be able to make click-able links!!
Wanda, what kind of snake did you have in your house?
They just came into the room and picked up Luney. I guess taking him for an exam since Lun Lun left him alonge.
Baby Luney and Lun Lun back on cam now. She is washing the human smell off him lol
Mits are you home or still at the beach?
Whoa! Son came to visit & I have had to catch up quickly what has been going on.
Dana - I had finished eating when I heard all the hollering! lol
I need to visit some more with him and then probably drive him home!
It sure is cool out!
BBL
You have mail, Jo.
Turn your headlights on Jo you know you don't like driving at night. Have a nice visit with son.
DEB...the snake moved so quickly, that all I could see was a dark color. Black snakes don't move as fast as this on did, but garter snakes do...I think that must be what it was...is.
They do bite, but not poisonious.
Too much
to get use too.
Hi, I'm back and blue!!LOL
Had ribs for dinner & Caesar salad. Too full to have any beans and rice.
I KNEW a big bird would appear when I left!
See Atlanta put the lights on for bedtime---go figure.
Loretta, love beans and rice with turkey sausage and a mild cajun sauce. Ummm!
Checked pandas again & looks like lights out!
Wanda, are you sure your car doesn't have that feature.....most newer cars do, might want to check your manual.
Are inside lights still on for the night, Wanda?
My car lights don't come on by themselves but if I don't turn them off. They do turn themselves off.
Dana that is great because then you can't run your battery down. I like to drive and see other cars in the daytime with lights on. I just think it is a good safety factor.
Wanda open my email..
I try to always drive with my lights on. What surprises me is when it rains during the day. A lot of people don't turn their headlights on.
Raccoons in PA woods....
Open your e-mail, Jo.
Good evening everyone, Mits thanks for the pic of Belle(?)
I can't wait to see the nest again
Even Robyn ( : How is Tori doing?
Will do, Wanda.... Just finished feeding our cats...
Hi Robyn
hi, Robyn
Hi Dana, Tori is doing well thank you for asking.
Hi Jo, Mits :)
Jo did you get to see Toby our new pup?
Robyn I looked at your page when you said you had put Toby on there.
He is a beautiful dog and seems to enjoy your other dog very much.
Another email Wanda.......
Robyn I sure did see Toby the other
evening. I love white Shepherds/Husky
and Scooby seems to notice he is around! Does Toby let the Brats alone?
The DEER are in the woods with
glowing eyes!!!
I may go to the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow & take the 2 yr old.. Ride in the hay wagon & pick out the pumpkin.
Mits - I remember pic of Maggie in wagon at a pumpkin patch.
Well, there is the exception to the rule...
I know what you are saying about
Scooby being first priority.
If you have to give up Toby - hopefully you can find a home without another dog. Toby is a
beautiful animal. Scooby shouldn't have to put up with that though.
Keep the gravy on your table! lol
I can't believe it has been Fair Week and no rain whatsoever. We used to always see lots of rain during this week. So glad it missed us as I'm sure the Fair Goers appreciated
it.
I am signing off for the night. Talk to everyone tomorrow!
I don't know about a TALON Deb. It looks like a snake tail to me! LOL
Night Deb
NITE, DEB.
Nite Deb.
That is so funny about Toby & the cat
Something was going on at the Club House (GOLF) with fireworks out behind the house. My cat
climbed under the table in the front room and would NOT come out. Poor thing was so scared. I have no idea what was being celebrated-possibly a wedding?????
Oh Hedgie! What is that saying....
PI*S ON YOU
You got it, Jo!!!
That is funny, Lynn. How is your dog doing...still on meds?
It does take time for an abused animal to learn to trust. But if he was starved, they never lose that fear of being hungry, Robyn, so aggression w/ food is not unusual.
Yes, Wanda. She has two more weeks on the antibiotics and then they'll do another urine culture. The a/b was causing her to itch, but vet didn't want to change it since it's the best choice, so put her on 25 mg. Benadryl, so now she sleeps alot!
I need to spend some time with the Capt. after all, it is Saturday night. BBL to say good night.
That is what we figured Hedgie, they most likely fed him when they could most likely dinner foods after they ate, they really didn't have much but if you have no desire to bring a dog in why bother getting one. Our pets are like family, being a city girl living in the country I still have fears of letting out cats outside.
Helen, did you have any trouble getting out of OC w/ all the SunFest hoopla?? Glad you made it home safe and sound!
Don't have cats, but, being a city girl, too, I would never leave an animal outdoors! My dogs have always been part of the household!
Margy...beep,beep,beep...alarm going off! Time to go to work! Heard them say on the scanner that they had over 20,000 people through the gate at the Air Show!
Hope that Margy pops in here before going to work - Just so we know she got up and didn't hit the snooze button to many times.......
Wake Up Margy........
Almost sounds familiar

Good morning. I am looking at our nest trying to figure out what is at the bottom of the picture.
Eagle at BWO.
Morning Deb. I peeked in before an everyone was still asleep. I think maybe it is a leaf or a piece of bark.
Good morning Deb ( :
I think that is just some of the bark coming off the tree.
BWO is froze on eagle pic.
Little Luney has had a bath this morning.
Good Morning Ceil ( : I was typing comment. Seen you after it posted.
Pandas are at it on cam 2 at DC...
So glad that eagle at BWO isn't really standing like that for this long of a time. Probably wouldn't be able to move its wings to fly if it had.
Dana, the head at BWO does move, now it really moved, wings and all!
Yep the time was moving but the pic was messed since about 8:35am. Lisa got message and probably fixed the cam. Eagle able to put wings down now....and changing positions. ( : cam good now...
Good Morning Everyone, I think that Eagle at BWO is laughing at us !
* H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y *
BIRD GIRL ! ENJOY YOUR DAY! HOPE IT IS YOUR BEST BIRTHDAY EVER !

Good Morning Margy ( :
I think so too...hee hee
I sent Lisa a message asking a question. She is so great at answering.
All the wrestling is over at DC now they are both eating.
Margy check email
HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN BLUE, BIRD GIRL !!!
Just being funny here....I think the eagle is imitation of a scarecrow at BWO lol
Got message back from Lisa....the eagle that has been at BWO holding its wings out like it has. Lisa wrote: It might be trying to warm up a bit -- letting the sun heat its feathers. Or maybe trying to dry out its feathers if it got wet while fishing.
Good Comparison, DANA -
he has vamoosed now....maybe will come back with partner...
I'm checking out, headed for the pillows, one more midnight tonight...better get my sleep in since I am insomniac, takes longer to get enough good rest!
Hope everyone has a Great Sunday.
Enjoy this Last Full Day of Summer !
