Put the couple pics on. Sorry if poor quality, but River is really wide at the lower boat ramp. Think you can get the general idea.
Our vet came over tonight to give our kitty her 2 annual shots---it's been a year and she bolted and after getting flushed out of the basement at 6PM, came up & went under a bed & just came out now!!!Tomorrow is another day--next time she'll be put in her carrier before he visits!!!So I never got on here as we were waiting and watching!!!And she LOVES visitors!
Left watching the news---too nauseating----the dead adopted children story.
Our vet lives across the street--he comes over on his own.(I think it might be better to go to his clinic--smaller rooms w/better lighting!!!) Robyn, poor little doggy. Lynn, read earlier about your troubles w/Picasa. I can't figure it out either---would take a month to go thru Help & the way I understood it, it would be able to access ALL the pics on your 'puter for you to choose.Would BLOW up if it went thru mine!!!
I put up new pictures on my page, too. Some are from earlier this month that I am just getting around to posting. Two eagle nests, both are on the Nebraska side of the river. I knew about the second one in the slide show, but couldn't get to it before. The first one in the show was a nice surprise.
Deb, I'm so sorry your team lost....hate when there is one game to go like that.....your only consolation is probably neither Chicago team will go father than these playoffs...and I really love the Chicago city
You might take a look at the Loch Garten tracking site....
Unless by some miracle he has found something to land on, Deshar has succumbed to too long a flight in apparently the wrong direction. I say apparently, because we don't know well how birds navigate instinctively, and there's a chance he was was heading for the Azores and missed them. But if he was heading for Africa, he sure took the wrong route.
Good morning everyone. I guess John was unsuccessful. Still have green screen. Deb and Naturenut both are good photographers. Nice photos. Red is smiling.
Good morning everyone, a tad chilly this morning and a little foggy, heard there is suppose to be rain moving in, another day of putting the mowing off.
I need to mow too but tree trimmers are along the edge of my yard cutting pine trees down that my crazy neighbor planted under the power lines. I'm hoping they finish in a day or two so I can mow there. Got doctors appointment this morning too.

MOMSTER FRIENDS FOR MAKING OUR DAYS MORE FUN!!!!!-----
Normabyrd, me and Sis were talking about you last night. I was singing "West Virginia Hills" (quite horrible singer) to her and Mattie and we said we bet you knew the words to our State Song too!
Maine is noisy this morning but I ain't seen hide nor hair of a creature. Sounds so good though!! Listen to it in the background behind the doctor's voices.
SISSY --- LITTLE BOY CUB is getting some sleep!---Would love to hold him!---(just for a min.)--- BLESS HIS LITTLE HEART!!----
I ALWAYS SAY---GOD MADE A PERFECT ANIMAL WHEN HE MADE THE PANDA!!---They don't have to do any thing--just be there--Everything about them is beautiful!---just look at us with those eyes!---(got carried away)----sorry!
The National Zoo will be featured on PBS’s Great Museums tonight Oct. 1. The Zoo is the first zoo ever to be on the program and the hour-long special features interviews with our animal care staff, veterinarians and scientists discussing the important role we play in wildlife education and conservation. And there will be plenty of HD footage of our beautiful grounds (both Rock Creek and Front Royal), collection animals and exhibits
It will air on WETA at 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 1st.
If you miss it, it will air on WHUT at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12th at 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, Oct. 15th.

Mits - I'm not planning on attending the BW Open House. Too crowded and last I heard the Wildlife Drive is not open yet. There will be some live raptor displays that are tempting though. Anyone going?
Went on a skipjack sail a couple of weeks ago. It is owned by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Built in 1902 the skipjacks were used for dreging oysters. Very cool. Photos here:
