Brandon had a ball. I started to limp about 1/2 way through it and my son went and got a wheel chair for me. I was embarrassed but he was being so sweet I couldnt refuse. It really helped.I probably wont get that knee replacement until I get back from WV.

Had a beautiful trip down here. Got stopped for about an hour on I95 because of an accident, but otherwise, a really pretty drive. We take 17 most of the way.

Zoo Atlanta’s Panda Cam will focus on giant pandas Yang Yang and Mei Lan from 10 AM to 5 PM until further notice. Zoo officials will provide regular updates several times a day on the status of Lun Lun and her cub, including, when available, photos and video clips.

Hey, Dana...Premier Physical Therapy had a small pool at their Berkeley Springs location, and a really small one at the Martinsburg place. B.S. closed; Mtbg. moved out of small bldg. on Tavern Rd. into the large bldg. where either the Surgi-Center is or on the end where Centers for Orthop. Excellence is....don't know if they put a pool in that new location or not. Worth checking into.

Lun Lun and her cub are doing well. Brief exams of the cub at 9:30 AM and 1:15 PM today indicate that he is maintaining his body temperature and steadily gaining weight. At the afternoon check he was 134.8 grams. Lun Lun continues to tolerate the cub’s removal, but responds quickly and appropriately when he is reintroduced. Veterinary staff continues to administer antibiotics to both as a precautionary measure.

I sure she knows. When it comes to pandas Chrissy keeps up with the news. Hope all is well with her.
We did NOT find the refuge site that supposedly had the bald eagle. I was disappointed but I have to research the location a little more.
We got a good tour of the mountains!!

Okay, I am going to preface this with - I know, I need a life. I just looked back through the blogs and on September 3, 2006, we had 1267 comments. I blogged the first time on April 7, 2006. Boy the memories in reading some of that stuff and people on there that I had forgotten about. Wonder where they are now?
So I started April 2006 also - at least to blog. I found the cam just because I was looking for a Bird Watching class for Jennifer. I know your friend Ozzie put you onto the cam.
So on Sept 3 2006 How many days worth of comments were there....

Hi all! Excuse me while I groan! Ohhhhhhh!! LOL We had a WONDERFUL break in the weather today. High was in the upper 70's. Jack and I worked in the yard all day. I am sooooo tired! But, it was so great! We did not get any rain, but boy the wind has been blowing.
So, excited about the baby panda. Looks like all is going well. Such a good momma!!
Jack and I talked this evening about going to the open house. Looks like we might make it. Wahoo! You can all chip in and help pay for our gas!!! ONLY KIDDING!!!!!
Need to go take care of dinner. Tonight Salmon croquettes with green onion sauce. How does that sound?

How long did it take you and Robyn to drive up to Romney last year for the train ride?
I think about hour 45 minutes. At first you're on highway, then it's a long windy road the rest of the way.
Some of the group may wish to do the train on that Sunday... I thought it was about 2 hrs - so the 10:00 ride you would need to be out of Shepherdstown between 7:30 & 8:00.

it has a white tail....so is that still a sea eagle or white tail eagle like the one that stole the chick in the other Finland nest
If there is a difference between a Sea Eagle and a White Tail Eagle then
that was a White Tail Eagle in the Finny over the water nest.
Guess we need to research that....
The other Finny nest referred to the White Tailed Eagle that took the Osprey Chick.
Put my nose in a book after dinner. Also, was watching a few of the speeches tonight.

Good morning, everyone. It is a nice sunny morning here, although the temp is a cool 46 here. We are headed to the low 70's. Last week we were seeking as much shade as possible, this week we want to be in the sun.

I can't Paula, when I did my reservations I chose the non-refundable price at $15 a night less than the regular price. I thought all the rooms in Shepardstown were full, so I didn't even check there.

I never realized on the Golden Tamarin cam at the zoo, there are 2 sloths.....1 male 1 female, and I hear the Golden's tease them
I have NO sound on the Golden Taramin cam.
CT Osprey cam update -

It's not over yet!
At least one Osprey chick is still hanging around the nest (see photo at right, taken today). We believe the 2 adults and its 3 siblings may have already departed on their southbound migration.
Looks like the cam is down today...but it was working yesterday!

sorry, Red, I should have said, I heard from my zoo source, that the Golden's tease the sloths, actually he said they torture them....I did not know til today they they were part of the exhibit
