Couple of observations:
You've probably noticed all three eaglets working their wings in the wind the past few days, although we think it will be another month before they're ready to fly. let's hope they don't get to "cocky" and find themselves blown out of the nest!
Also, the adults are now leaving the eaglets alone for parts of the day. There has been constant supervision until the past day or so, and that has been very importnant due to the coller temps and rain we've been having.

Does anyone use Brita or Pur water filtering?
I used to Dana, but have a filter built into sink, separate spigot
i hear sound on that osprey nest.
Still 2 eggs at BWO, osprey eating a fish
Parent at BWE
Pretty quiet our nest
I don't see Indian River squawking and don't see ours squawking....where is it coming from???
it sounds like water
Believe me Mits you won't though......it is OUR NEST lmbo
I didn't hear any water at the osprey nest....now Mits is hearing things....maybe she's had a couple of talons...
Check ya'll later...
I don't have our nest on, just the osprey cam:)
I really hope we don't get a blown away eaglet from our nest!!! If it happens I'll be the first to the tree with fish and a blanket! I would LOVE to hold an eaglet like I've seen others do.
Headed out to dinner & I'll be back shortly.
I think it is just the wind at our nest. Making that sounds.
Just guessing egg turning at Delware.
Dinner time bbl
I don't have our nest on, only the Delaware Cam
OUr (middy and biggie) kids are picking over the nest for nestovers....
I hear the noise too, Mits, but have you heard anything else?
Two oldest chicks are pecking at scraps in the nest, slim pickings.. if one finds something of interest the other tries to take it away.
Hey, Cookie momster!!
Who me?? chicks are so silly- each has got to investigate what the other may have found to eat.
Looks like they want dinner or bedtime snack. lol
Looks like they've cleaned out the cupboards - no more stashes!
Gotta go outside and get some yardwork done...bbialw
no Paula, have not heard any sound from the nest, if there is a mic, might be too far away...
Look at Tiny swallowin that big bone!
that nest is as clean as a whistle, someone should be dropping off dinner soon
Dad, we want fish!!
BBL
I hope someone shows up soon with food. I hate to think of them hungry.
don't worry they are not hungry:)
I was one of those moms (and guess I still am) that offers food as love. Fortunately my son learned to set limits, but I still want to feed what I care about.
I know, Melvsmom!
I saw a couple of healthy poop shoots, a sign they have been eating just fine!
dinner is served!!!!!!!!!1
Evening everyone. Both adults at NBG
so cute
still standing on fish
Hi Ceil I see that they zoomed out now zoomed back in some.
Our eaglets are going to eat ( :
think someone wants the fish
or he is waiting for mom to come feed them.
What was all of that?
she answered so she is close by
LOL, instant Mayhem!
fish still flapping
beautiful night in NORFOLK
Fishing flopping around not for long though
Just a little eagle chatter
c'mon Tiny get over there
showing the other adult eagle on branch at Norfolk...so pretty
Or was that a warning call to an intruder?
and it just flew into the nest and NBG, and cam person followed it
LOL, saw that fish a flapping. That's probably when his head was getting torn into!
think it was some intruder, but the other adult was nearby, you could hear the different tone...seemed like it was waiting for geese to go by
Ha Ha, the fish that won't die
Can't get any fresher than that!
waiting for it to sing...."DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY"
I think Mom was up above to watch out/call out also, or to chase it away...
So that's how Lib got stuck feeding the noisy bunch!
Our fish used to sing Elvis songs
there is a night light on the Delaware osprey cam:)
so funny to watch them watch the adult leave
someone is cleaning their beak up near the microphone
cam is scanning all over the place at NBG
That was a first for me...never saw a fish in the nest that fresh.
good old Tiny does not back down from a fight
Yeah there Wanda ( :
Yep that was a "fresh" one lol
I guess those full bellies make for sleepy heads......
Night all ( :

Good Night, Dana.

GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE...
HAPPY BIRDERS DAY TO YOU FOR TOMORROW.
JIM
Good morning, world. Not too bad out tonight, 46° in PA, 47° here in VA. And no rain for a change. Oh, Happy May Day!
Our kids are in one big pile sound asleep, BW kids are also in a pile sound asleep. BWO osprey either is wet or has feathers fluffed out. Jackdaw on eggs, osprey cam there still down. Osprey in Finney's nest, and Scotland osprey cam is up and running with parent on eggs. Nothing else open.
All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Mornin' Suzanne!! Looks like our eaglets had a very good night. How 'bout you?
Angus just arrived in Scotland, and Isla was and is still talking. He's grooming and ignoring her. He came in with a huge moss ball, and still has it under his foot. She has a feather stuck in her beak, and they just zoomed in to see it. Seems it's not stopping her talking, though, it just blows in her breath...
Our kids and BWE still sound asleep, lucky guys. Oh, Isla just wiggled down and got more comfy, maybe it's not Angus' turn yet. Oh, there she goes. Backed off the eggs and flew off. Here he comes, talons curled in. He is so gentle around those eggs! Turn eggs, tuck them just right, and wiggle down on them. Oh, I see Isla's feather came off and it's laying next to him. LOL, no he just took the feather and some moss and tucked it around him. That's a switch, he's the one that always moves the moss out.
Osprey in Finney's nest too. Female I think, very dark necklace.
Oh my goodness, good morning, Athenaa! You're up early! I had a good night, thanks. Just too short before it's time to get up and come to work. How was your's? You're not expecting more company today, are you?
OH SUZANNE!! You will never guess! I saw not one but TWO indigo buntings at my thistle feeder!!! I will get a pic and make it my avatar if I ever get a chance to get one.
OH, Atheena, I'm so sorry to hear that! But it does sound like she's had a wonderful life, and she'll have everything ready for you when you get to Heaven. How wonderful to know that. I'll pray for you today. Sounds like at least you'll have one friend with you! If the others are only going to be there for the day, hang in there! What a shame for them!
Oh wow! Congratulations on the two!!! I have not seen my one indigo bunting return, darn it. But it was wonderful that he stopped by to check out the food and show me how pretty he was! At least I can say I've seen one, now. I have 2 baby chicks in my wreath on my front door, and they're so cute. Well, if I don't look at them, mom stays in the nest, but if I look that way she takes off, so I kinda look out of the corner of my eye. At the moment, they're all mouth! I can hear peeping sometimes, and it's adorable.
You are so right Suzanne...so right. We will get through it just as she would have wanted us to. And all will be just fine.
Well it was two males....I couldn't believe it....I thought about you too....and wished you were here to get just as excited as I was!! LOL! The females are quite drab looking in fact they look a whole lot like a female house finch or something so they are kinda hard to pick outta the crowd.....but I did see one female and the only way I could really tell is that she is lighter than the other drab colored females. And she is shaped like the male...but I only saw the one female.
Athenaa, we get a "message of the day" screen when we first logon. Sometimes they have some pretty good quotes of the day. This one is perfect timing for you, I think. It's today's quote of the day from a very wise woman...
"And life is what we make it;
always has been, always will be."
Anna Mary Robertson "Grandma" Moses
Are these Carolina Wrens on the wreath on the front door?
HAH!! I think Grandma Moses lived to be a ripe old age too Suzanne!! THAT is definitely my quote for today! I'm gonna make all of mine "birdy" LOL!
I can't see the female close enough to tell! I think so, but wouldn't swear to it. Megan has Carolina Wrens in her wreath. As soon as I look at them, the female flies off, she doesn't yell at me, she just leaves. And when I look at her (quickly) out of the corner of my eye, I can only see her head in the nest. Little drab brown gal, like you said. But she's little, smaller than a goldfinch, and larger than a hummer. Flies kinda straight, and not crooked like finches.
Angus really looks small and slender on the nest doesn't he?
Well ya know a Carolina Wren will nest ANYWHERE! We had topsy turvy tomato plants one year that one nested in...it has a small little opening in the top to water the plant with..I told Sweetheart that I thought the babies should have fledged and that maybe I should check on the lil' guys...LOL well when I opened it up they all flew up and in my face LOL ....they couldn't get out!!! So when I opened up the top they were ready to get outta there!!
Oh that's funny! Good thing you opened the top for them! Yes, I know they nest anywhere. Had one one time in a hanging basket. Didn't even know they were there until I went and watered it one day with a hose! Mom flew up and really scared me, she took off so fast. After than, I kinda watered on the side, and carefully, and back to the watering can for that basket. She was right in the middle of the basket!
Oh, Angus is turning his eggs! He is a nice looking bird, isn't he?
He's not happy with that stick in front of him! He is so gentle around those eggs, it just amazes me how careful he is.
Yep Angus is one slick lookin' dude....but ya know I never met a Scottish guy I didn't like LOL!
Whoa! Had the BWE nest up a sec ago, minimized it, and just brought it back, and both kids were off cam. Wow, been a while since we've seen a totally MT nest. They have since come back, but that was a surprise! There they are, both in the middle of the nest again. Out exploring, I guess.
Did you see all the sod balls at BWO?? Also checked at the baby eagles at BW and there were none there! Then it refreshed and there was one there...they haven't been flying yet have they? I know I have seen them stretching their wings...and they are huge....
LOL Athenaa!!! Yup, it's those accents, huh???
OH, he just took off. Guess mom's coming back for her turn.
What can I say....I am a such a sucker for that accent. Melts me lil' heart it does...LOL! Well he came back didn't he...just wanted to stretch his wings I guess...
They haven't been branching yet, no. I think they were at the edge of the nest that is not on cam, bottom right of the screen. Gave me a start too! Guess it won't be long before they start! Oh, looks like Angus came back, not Isla.
Lots of sod balls at BWO. Guess they use the sod here like the Scottish ospreys use the moss. Curve it around the body to help keep the eggs warm. And protect them.
What's that long dark thang in there at BWO? I don't remember that being there before..
Gotta get Sweetheart up Suzanne so I guess I had better run...I'll be back up in few days when everything calms down.....
Hold down the fort!! LOL
I think that's a row of sod balls. Maybe they're trying to make a train, LOL.
Back in a sec.
Talk to you later, Athenaa, hang in there!
BWO couple were just mating again, and see we still have 2 eggs. Female got up enough to see finally.
GOOD MORNING SUZ...
Another COLD morning. Looking forward to warm mornings when I can go outside and drink my coffee.
Hey Suzanne and Wanda:)NEW THREAD off to the bus stop.
