Fresh weekend thread.
Was just watching some nest enhancements being done, with the help of the oldest eaglet. Good to see tht most of their feathers have come in, there's talk of more rain next week.

It is 69 here this morning, do not know what the high will be, but it looks like a beautiful day!
While we were in Virginia this week a tornado hit within 10 miles of us. Destroyed 4 beautiful houses and damaged about 20. Also, within 5 miles an area got 8 inches of rain in a very short period of time. We only had small hail and 1 1/2 inches of rain. I was afraid of what we were going to find. Did not want hail to destroy my flowers.

LOLLY---I can tell the EAGLETS apart when they are together!!---#1is largest----#3 is smallest (my favorite)----#2---is the one left over---He is a between EAGLET!! ho!
My brother called us while we were gone to let me know it was on the news about the tornado. I knew it was not at our house, and did not even think of our cat. (Yes, I am a cat person, as well!) She was at "camp" while we were gone, and the tornado hit right across the street from where she was boarded. Helicopters were in the air when we were picking her up Thursday evening.
Number 1 and 2 are hard to tell apart, Lolly - not sure I can at times....Tiny is on the far right, though.
Poor kitty, and she hates thunder storms!

Scones yes I can whip up a batch,, hope you like them without fruit in them,, but covered in home made strawberry jam and then topped off with loads of lovely clotted cream,,,yummy..
Norma ofcourse I know,,silly me,, it's this short term memory of mind its shot you know,,sometimes I really hate having M.E. your memory tends to become shreaded.
Just keep jogging it and I'll try and keep up pet.

Lolly - I know a lot of dog that hate them too. My neighbors dog used to climb into the tub. TG it doesn't bother my two.

Steve,if I lived close by you, yo can be sure that I would try to help do whatever you needed me to do even if was just to clean. I also would paint. Do you have friends and family to help you. Sorry I was so long I had to deal with a furball Scamp was trying to get rid off, he's been eating grass all morning.
I'll keep trying the other cams but I think somethings wrong with my computer,,it's so slow and the realplayer now is stopping and starting, so I'm not getting a propper look at the eaglets again.

she had her planned back surgery Friday - removal of a disc - They will release her on Sunday. She sounded very good! Has her lap top with her & would love to receive emails.

Everyone at forum having same problem as here for www.iws.org...
IWS problem has something to do with domain name renewal...which can take up to 48 hours to process throughout the internet....so you'll have to use your direct links to those nest to view them...the non neokast ones thru iws apparently aren't working...
IWS apparently forgot to renew their domain.
I got into the discussion page googling "CHIL cam." And you can google for "NeoKast" for the cams.
Eventually it will probably return to normal, but it could be as much as a few days.

Hmmm finally found it on the tape...both parents in nest, I think Lib brought something really small....the eldest mantled it very well. Think she ate it! gonna go back and check again...so then Lib left first, followed by Belle when she realized there was nothing there to feed!
Looks like Liberty has delivered some fish and is feeding the chicks.

Mom or Dad (I can't tell) has been hanging in the nest for a while now. I'm new to eagles. Is this common? Does it indicate a danger in the area? Or is it just eagle parenting?

Deborah, I was wondering the same thing. Parent doesn't usually stay after feeding. It is suppose to rain this evening. Maybe that is what she is anticipating.

My Mom says, if humans were as attentive to their children as these eagles are to their chicks, it would probably make for a better world.
I love seeing the kids so stuffed they just want to sleep. Although the one on the left makes me nervous; several times he's extended his leg and/or wing over the edge. That's just too close for comfort.

It is raining pretty hard here now. Our babies are being taken care of.

I can still see Belle on the back of the nest, she is facing this way...at noon position
It is still raining here with some wind. I can now see one chick in front of Belle. It is 65°, so I would guess the family is not as miserable as they look....just a good Saturday night bath!

Live feed is down this morning. Soggy morning here, lots of showers last night, some pretty intense thunderstorms. looks like the chicks are huddled together in the center of nest. Wish spidey had eaten his prey, it is still blocking the cam lens.
