Sounds like everyone has a nest in their yard! I have a robin's nest...4 eggs...Mama yells at me everytime I get close!
And thank goodness she picked the tree that is not in the backyard, where the dogs can get to it!

Hi, eagle lovers! Did you all see that - adult flew into our nest and one of the eaglets rushed over and mantleed for a few seconds at the feet of the adult? Adult now feeding youngsters.

I have been on the phone for 5 hours (honestly) trying to get my computer cleared of the virus that made it sick! I talked and listened for a while, then Gene would take over. When he got tired, I would take over again. I was infected with 93 viruses! I didn't know that I was without protection. We thought when we switched over to Verizon, security was included in the package. NOT SO! Anyway, I want to see if Real Player will work better for me now and I need the address again. HELP PLEASE???

Paula and Sharon, Thank you so much....apparently, my computer has had a virus for a long time and I was too dumb to know it. I now have Live Feed with sound and also a Still Picture! AMEN! It only cost $90.00 for 5 hours work. It was well worth it to see our babies again.

Yes Mits I'm with Comcast and they offer "free McAfee Security Center"...I downloaded it as soon as they hooked me up.
I e-mailed , Steve, but don't know if he can receive my mail, he is on an fws.gov site, so someone else might want to e-mail him too

Since we can't watch our babies - I went to Paula's website and went back and watched some videos when the babes were only a few days old. They were so tiny - all 3 of them. And Mom and dad were so patient and tender towards them. It made me cry to see them like that again.
Oh Chrissy my dear...so that is the reason the poor old gal keeps squawking.... that's sad.

First egg has hatched!

Sometime around 11am this morning the first egg hatched! The rest of the eggs should hatch over the following 18 hours.
It is like watching popcorn pop, watching the wood-ducks
I hope someone e-mailed Steve, I did, but like I said before, don't think he is getting my e-mails.

Tiny acts like he's never had a full meal before. I'm so glad he's getting his fill.
I think that is Tiny grabbing the food like he was never taught any manners. Maybe he didn't get any of the last meal.
Maybe we encouraged Tiny too much; he has become very aggresive.

Tiny is done for now. Not sure which one is eating now. It works out really well this way. One at a time--taking turns next to Mom. How cute is that?

I missed the mermaid Wanda. There are so many wood duck chicks could not count them all. I got to nine. Tiny must have really been hungry to forget his manners. I think I do that sometimes. We just got back from eating at Ledo's pizza. It just opened around out area. Pizza was hot. Salad dressing good.
Actually I had to lower the volume myself. I can't believe the years I didn't know about this stuff. It's all I seem to do anymore. But how could you see them and not love them, from their overly long wings to the penguin waddle.

Do they fall out often? I really hope not. It would break my heart to lose one. I'm a sucker for any baby animal.
I don't think this nest has had any jumpers...
As mits said we do worry about them. We have not seen any fall out so far.

How many years have you been watching this nest? Do Liberty and Belle usually have 3 babies? I heard 2 was the norm.
This is my third year. The first year they had 3 who fledged successfully last year they lost their eggs during a March storm. They are good parents. I have just started to blog.

How awful is must have been to lose their eggs. They seem to be such good parents. They must have felt the loss. It's so sad when there's nothing you can do to help. I find myself wanting to feed them.
I love it when they stand facing the camera, little toes spread or sit in the buddha pose. They are just too cute!
it was sad, MM, but there was nothing anyone could do, but they survived....they are wonderful parents....that is nature for you, it is harder on me to see these things happen to real people...

I feel like I can do more to help people than animals.

we can help animals sometimes, but in this case the eagles are on their own, unless something really bad happened and someone is there to rescue them, so many places to help the sick and injured animals and birds
