Sorry PAULA I guess I'll call myslef little "mis? information and try to keep my Kinergarten mouth shut. It was the oregon nest not co and she just got up again and I only saw one egg this time. Maybe there was grass in the middle of the egg when she got up last time and I thought it was two. It is hard to believe that she is laying them with snow still in the nest. Then again, when is there a good time to start in Oregon?
Oregon parent can't seem to get her nest set right. She was up moving around in different positions and then is now pulling stuff from the side of the nest around her. They must be hardy birds out there.
HI JIM Don't get on much lately what with work, and getting ready to move son's belongings back to Greenville, NC and then getting his room ready for him to spend the days before the wedding here on the Outer Banks. I have read a lot of the blogs tho to keep ;up on some of the things.
Are you enjoying retirement any better and your sleep settled down? I think I will work one more year and make the big step to retirement when school gets out in June of 2009.
Thanks Candy....I'll be setting up an appt. for my dr in Virginia on Monday. Don't know when he will see me until then. I've finished my neck, shoulders, and hands off yesterday. Playing with Eds great grandson. So now I have to see dr.
West End nest eagle is sitting there as quiet as you please. I am not on newcast as I could never get it to download. I have Two Harbors up and Santa Cruz, also.
Maybe they are getting ready to put the new chick in the nest. I can't imagine what else is going on. Parent gone again and clock still ticking and back
JIM the parent keeps coming and going while the clock is ticking. Do you suppose they are coming to put the new chick in the nest with the other chick? Weird happenings going on there.
DANA Isn't West End the nest that just had a hatching in it's nest that everyone was talking about yesterday or today earlier. They are supposed to be bringing in a hand hatched egg back to the nest for the other new one. They were all wondering how the birds hid the nest and the people didn't see it when they colletced the eggs for incubation.
Dr. Sharpie always takes a picture of the chick after he puts it in the nest. So I was watching and seen the chick. Now Dr. Sharpie will watch from another area. Away but where he can see nest. To make sure Candy that the eagles except the chick which they always have.
DAND That was what I was trying to tell you. On the blog earlier, they were saying that somehow an egg must have been overlooked when they took the eggs from the nest. That egg that was left in nest, either hidden or whatever, just hatched today or yesterday; surpirsing everyone. So now there should be two in the nest; one hatched out of the nest and one naturally in the nest, I think.
Ok I found where when Dr. Sharpie removed the 2 eggs from WE and replaced them with 2 wooden ones. Wray laid another egg. So in the nest was 2 wooden eggs and 1 real egg. As Dr. Sharpie showed us one of the eggs didn't hatch and the other he had to pick the shell off the chick because it was attached to the membranes. So only 1 chick lived out of which at the time he took them out of the nest was only 2. So he had one to put back today. The other chick that was in the nest came from Wray laying it right after Dr. Sharpie placed the 2 wooden eggs in nest. So it hatched I believe if reading right today. So the chick Dr. Sharpie put in nest is about a week older than the chick that "hatch today in nest" hee hee 2 chicklets ( :
Dana, left after my post this morning. No sausage and bisuits this morning! Just banana nut bread I made yesterday!
Great time at the zoo this morning with the kids and grandkids! HOWEVER, I need my eagle buddies. My son, Michael, is an attorney. He is very sharp and fast thinking. He loves to give me a hard time and he started in on my eagle cam watching. He was really very funny! But, I needed eagle buddies to help me!!!!! Gotta defend our eagle watching!!!
Yes, the first two were replaced with wooded eggs. Of the two, one did not hatch. The second one had to be helped to hatch last week. It was the second one that was placed back in the nest today, joining its younger sibling that was born yesterday or Thursday in the nest.
Oh, yes, Lolly...we get some strange looks from those who have never tuned in on an Eagle nest. "Don't knock it til you try it". And, yes, we do miss our Eagle friends. When I was on our trip (one month), I missed everyone sooo much!
Well, everyone would have loved Michael's tirade today. It was really so funny!!! I just sat and smiled. Wish I could have had a recording of all that he said.
It blows my mind trying to figure out how the Eagles can be fooled by a Wooden Egg. How do they decide when it is time to turn an artificial egg? Or do they just let it lay there.
Thanks, Paula, for the heads up and THANK YOU JOHNNCTC! We miss those babies when the feed is down...it's like someone pulling a chair out from under you.
Pearl is gone and Middy is getting a few mor bites. Dad just came home empty taloned. Babes are resting. Oh, mky goodness! Lib was eating something and when Belle saw it, she jumped at him to get it and stepped on one of the babies.
This is the longest I have been able to watch the live feed. I have been glued to the screen ever since you told us John fixed the feed. I have enjoyed it sooo much!
Thanks, Paula. I did that and Voila! It's on... Looks like Lib (orBelle) wants to spend the night in the nest. Have they done that since the eaglets got big?

Am working on 2 videos from yesterday....didn't record any tonight, cause I can't record and process videos at the same time....will post on the EM blog when done...
Wow, my live cam is finally on!! Been working outside & watching Pope in NY. Paula, your videos are great. Was watching WE earlier on non-neo, but Mom was on chicks. Very small screen.
Nature did you watch when the Pope was with the special needs children, as a Grandma with a special needs child, it sure got my tears flowing. it was so meaningful to me
Yes, I saw him when he went into the Seminary & blessed all 57 children. It gave me chills & a couple tears. The parents were crying.Announcers said being there showed much more emotion out of him. He makes you feel good and inspired.
Good night my dear eagle friends. I have been reading blog. I love live feed too, and I love lurking and just soaking up all the positive thoughts and refreshing kinship among all of us and our love for "God's creatures - great and small." There is a sweet spirit among all of us, it seems. All of you are a blessing to me. Praying for each of you tonight. Love donna

C(°?°)3
Jim
Parent on this end of the nest now
OK Candy, got it was just a typo! She just laid an egg! You were probably one of the first to see it!
Discovering new eggs, Candy??
What else you up to today?
C(°?°)3
Jim
Parent still at this end, chicks looking out the other end
No change our nest
You must have seen the little sign in the window at the incubator site at IWS....
The chick is going home today...
C(°?°)3
Jim
Oregon parent can't seem to get her nest set right. She was up moving around in different positions and then is now pulling stuff from the side of the nest around her. They must be hardy birds out there.
Good Afternoon AJ, Jim, Paula, Candy, Jo and Watchers.
Which IWS site is getting its chick back ?
I see the egg in Or. way to go Candy !
HI JIM Don't get on much lately what with work, and getting ready to move son's belongings back to Greenville, NC and then getting his room ready for him to spend the days before the wedding here on the Outer Banks. I have read a lot of the blogs tho to keep ;up on some of the things.

Hey DANA. How are things going with you? Sun is out here, but we are still in the 60;s here.
Thanks Candy....I'll be setting up an appt. for my dr in Virginia on Monday. Don't know when he will see me until then.
I've finished my neck, shoulders, and hands off yesterday. Playing with Eds great grandson.
So now I have to see dr.
Wanda get out of the garden and quite playing with those "worms". lol
WOW no change our nest, Parent this end, chicks that end. Wonder if they are in time-out? :)
Dana - WE chick is being fostered back today
Egg is visible in Oregon
Oops, parent is back.
I am trying to get West End up. Never had a problem. Neokast is saying connecting but I'm not getting a picture like I use too.
PaulaDo you have west end cam open?
Neokast isn't working right now, you can try the non neokast link on the same page, on the left...but it only supports about 10 viewers...
Belle was mantling a few minutes ago, now she is feeding the eaglets at the back of the nest
Wish Tiny would get off that back edge...
West End nest eagle is sitting there as quiet as you please. I am not on newcast as I could never get it to download. I have Two Harbors up and Santa Cruz, also.
Is your screen frozen?
Little Eaglet at Two Harbourt sitting by the parent. Too cute.
Chicklets at Santa Cruz PH are getting big, too.
If you are talking to me PAULA, my West end cam is stopped at ll:10 now that I look. Oh well, what else is new?
My Two Harbours is at l:28 and seems to be refreshing and my Santa Cruz cam is ticking down.
Just looked up at West End and Parent is gone.
And now it is back
It appears and disappears. clock is ll:37.19 and winding
WE: the cam is back up and at 11:37 I could see a chick bobbling there in.
C(°?°)3
Jim
Maybe they are getting ready to put the new chick in the nest. I can't imagine what else is going on. Parent gone again and clock still ticking and back
JIM the parent keeps coming and going while the clock is ticking. Do you suppose they are coming to put the new chick in the nest with the other chick? Weird happenings going on there.
Jim are you saying there is already a "chick" in the nest at WE?
As I brought WE up again, one of the adults was either flying low over the nest or had just taken off...missed saving the pic.
C(°?°)3
Jim
Candy that is what I think. I don't see a chick in the nest...I have seen the parent flew in and out. As if something is distrubing it.
Jim are you watching "live" or refresh for WE?
Now the clock has stopped at ll:40.43 and nest has no parent on it. This is not Neokast that I am watching, mind you.
oops now it is ll:44.11 and stopped again. Still no parent.
Candy I am not watching on Neokast either it wouldn't come up. Does for all other IWS cams and did for this one before.
My clock has stopped at 11:44:11
DANA Isn't West End the nest that just had a hatching in it's nest that everyone was talking about yesterday or today earlier. They are supposed to be bringing in a hand hatched egg back to the nest for the other new one. They were all wondering how the birds hid the nest and the people didn't see it when they colletced the eggs for incubation.
Human in WE nest!
There is Dr. Sharpie
Candy 2 eggs he took down with him. Only 2 hatched.
I mean't only 1 hatched.
Look the parent flew right by Dr. Sharpie ... close one....sure he has had closer ...
Dana, NeoKast doesn't load for me either at WE, so I'm watching the non-NK thing.
It is locked for me now too, but I did see a quick shot of an adult overflying the nest.
I think I can see the chick too, so it shouldn't be too long before the adults are back.
C(°?°)3
Jim
Ok chick is in the nest now
Someone was just beeking over the nest. Didn't see if anything was put into nest. Can anyone else. My clock is now at 11:50.33 and stopped again
Dr. Sharpie always takes a picture of the chick after he puts it in the nest. So I was watching and seen the chick. Now Dr. Sharpie will watch from another area. Away but where he can see nest. To make sure Candy that the eagles except the chick which they always have.
What are you watching Dr. Sharpe on??
The non NeoKast screen is unfrozen again.
C(°?°)3
Jim
There is the parent in nest
There's Wray on the nest.
C(°?°)3
Jim
I refreshed it Jim
Both parents in Oregon nest now. One got up from egg to move stick and it looks like maybe a switch.
Parent back at West End at 11:53.47 and stopped
Now it's stuck on 11:53:47 dang
That was sure one quick put back of the chick to the nest. They didn't waste any time doing it. Moving again at 11:58.24
Parent looking down at chick and touched chick with its beak.
Awwww Mommy Daddy I'm home ( :
I guess the chick is home! :)
Both parents at SC/Ph nest
Was that "2 chicks" I just seen????????????????
Ok someone please explain: Westie is coming home today. I seen that written and his last feeding.
How did the other chick get in the West End nest?
DAND That was what I was trying to tell you. On the blog earlier, they were saying that somehow an egg must have been overlooked when they took the eggs from the nest. That egg that was left in nest, either hidden or whatever, just hatched today or yesterday; surpirsing everyone. So now there should be two in the nest; one hatched out of the nest and one naturally in the nest, I think.
I meant DANA. I am going back to try to look it up on the other thread.BB
Dana - Apparently Wray laid a 3rd egg after Dr S exchanged the other two. It hatched on it's own yesterday!
So the chick Dr. Sharpie put in nest is about a week older than the chick that "hatch today in nest" hee hee 2 chicklets ( :
Ok I have to go bbl
Now I'm wondering since that egg hatched in nest. Will Dr. Sharpie next year "not" gather eggs from WE. hummmm
That's the first I've heard of 2 chicks, Dana.
But I have NeoKast up at WE now, and she's adopting the heck out of the new chick.
C(°?°)3
Jim
Belle back in the nest, standing at 6, chicks at other end
Live feed been down all day?
GOOD AFTERNOON, EVERYONE Just got back from a bridal shower, can't believe "MY SISTER" came onto the blog.....I was shocked, WELCOME, CEIL
have to go read e-mails and the rest of posts.....live feed down:( all day from what is sounds
Well, Dana is right. I just read and saw photos of a chick hatched yesterday at WE on the IWS blog.
It's really weird that nobody noticed 3 eggs in that nest with all the people watching it so intently.
But now Wray and 01 have two bobble headers to raise.
C(°?°)3
Jim
Jim, they say the 3rd egg was laid after the first two were removed.
Lolly, I haven't been following that Saga. Were the first 2 replaced with wooden eggs?
Yes, the first two were replaced with wooded eggs. Of the two, one did not hatch. The second one had to be helped to hatch last week. It was the second one that was placed back in the nest today, joining its younger sibling that was born yesterday or Thursday in the nest.
Oh, yes, Lolly...we get some strange looks from those who have never tuned in on an Eagle nest. "Don't knock it til you try it". And, yes, we do miss our Eagle friends. When I was on our trip (one month), I missed everyone sooo much!
Time to go work in the yard. BBL
Supper time. BBL
Yes, Wanda, they turn the fake eggs just like real ones...based on time, I believe, or the eagles sense of it
You couldn't see into the WE egg cup to see any of the eggs.
That's why no one knew there were 3.
Eagle still at 6 - Looks like Lib?
Restarted the live feed remotely. No audio, Microsoft remote desktop has issues with starting some hardware.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
Live feed is up and looks great!
Thanks, Paula, for the heads up and THANK YOU JOHNNCTC! We miss those babies when the feed is down...it's like someone pulling a chair out from under you.
thanks, John
What a beautiful photo op. Can a photo be taken? I can't find a way to do it.
Both adults our nest!
Lib and Belle are both in the nest and eating left-overs...eaglets are just watching. Maybe they have already eaten. My pict. just froze.
OK, it is back. Belle is gone and Lib is babysitting.
Lib is feeding his children now. What a father!! So gentle.
Looks like it's nestovers tonight!
That was Belle in the nest and Lib came empty Taloned
I just noticed that Tiny has black wings now. When he gets dark like the others, we won't be able to tell them apart easily.
Nope, that was Lib that left
Paula, do you think that is Lib? It is hard for me to tell with those babes in there. Looks like his feetsies. LOL
It was a little easier to tell when they were in the middle of the nest. Belle filled up the whole middle and Lib just a portion of it.
At any rate, they are being fed well. One, then another, then the other. So special to watch.
poor eagle is covered in snow out in OR
Belle just came home with a little something. Whatever it is, she is eating it and the babies are fine with that; just laying there looking at her.
Ok, here comes Pearl. She wants dessert.
Ahhh, finally got a bite. Thanks Mom, that was good.
Here comes Middy for his share.
Mom is not sharing. This is her supper.
eagle standing up in OR, can't see the egg
Well, ok,Pearl. One bite and that's all. You can have the pieces that I drop.
never mind she went back down, must be there she is doing the eagle waddle
Pearl is gone and Middy is getting a few mor bites.
Dad just came home empty taloned. Babes are resting.
Oh, mky goodness! Lib was eating something and when Belle saw it, she jumped at him to get it and stepped on one of the babies.
No harm done.
Whatever Lib had, Belle is eating it now.
LOL I thought Pearl was going to get it! Good shot Tiny!
Tiny did a PS over top of Pearl and didn't get any on her. Great aim, Tiny.
Time to 'tidy up' the nest before bedtime. Shaking out the rugs!
Sorry, Jo. I thought I was all alone, talking to myself. LOL
Good night, Kids.
Pict. is frozen.
Here's my first video of the WE fostering today.
Part 1, Defending the nest
Feed is gone here on my puter. Oh, well, it was great while it lasted.
Belle is great at grabbing food from Lib!
I have never seen her do that before. She really has a temper. LOL
This is the longest I have been able to watch the live feed. I have been glued to the screen ever since you told us John fixed the feed. I have enjoyed it sooo much!
still snowing on eagle in OR
Paula, that video was so entertaining....the music you chose was wonderful. LMBO
Helen, I'm glad that is in Oregon and not here!
Mom feeding both babies at the WE site! Just love it!!!
it is 3 in the a.m. in Scotland, but there are people talking very near the nest, and it sounds like they just chased some birds away
your right, Wanda, but it reminds me of last year and Belle
Here's Part 2 of the fostering. Watch as the eagle divebombs Steff!
WE Fostering - The chick comes home
Wanda - did you try your feed again? Open and close realplayer? Mine has been on just fine.
Wanda - 01's nickname is Superman, because of him and Dianna and Wray last year.
Tiny likes sleeping at the far end of the nest.
Adult back in our nest! Checking on the kids?
Was snoozing a little, now awake.
Neat videos, Paula! Thanks!! Can depend on you to take care of us!
Nice to see Belle standing guard!
Thanks, Paula. I did that and Voila! It's on... Looks like Lib (orBelle) wants to spend the night in the nest. Have they done that since the eaglets got big?
loved the videos, Paula, from the look on Wray's face, I think she can count:):).
it has been a couple of nights since one of the adults have been in the nest, Wanda.
one of the chicks looked right up at the cam, and, Belle seems to be swallowing her crop
sun is out in OR, snow has stopped, clouds still look threatening
I thought maybe there was something nearby that was a threat and parent is protecting chicks.
Sure hope we don't have that problem.
I'll check weather, maybe she knows something we don't

Wow, my live cam is finally on!!
Been working outside & watching Pope in NY.
Paula, your videos are great. Was watching WE earlier on non-neo, but Mom was on chicks. Very small screen.
Nature did you watch when the Pope was with the special needs children, as a Grandma with a special needs child, it sure got my tears flowing. it was so meaningful to me
Belle is sleeping sitting up, you can see her closed eyes
osprey watching the sun rise in FINLAND
OSPREY in Finland....... Daybreak!
Hi Helen! lol
Yes, I saw him when he went into the Seminary & blessed all 57 children. It gave me chills & a couple tears. The parents were crying.Announcers said being there showed much more emotion out of him. He makes you feel good and inspired.
We must of turned on Finland the same time Jo.
He really looked relaxed, one of the commentators said he has a cousin with Downs Syndrome which is what my Maggie has, she is a real sweetheart
If we only had the view from Kent Cam 3 we might be able to tell how much the nest has been rebuilt.
I am soooooo happy that it is Spirit!
Checked Norway.....black, it's an hour earlier there than Finland.
Great Horned Owl Hootie Flying Time
Mits, lifelong friend has daughter w/Downs. She is a blessing---so happy and joyful.

The Orioles, the Nats are out of town til next Wednesday
they are playing the Yankees.

I can see the outline of the
Sea Eagle when she
moves around in the nest...
lol, I was going to say, I see nothing in the nest
Good night my dear eagle friends. I have been reading blog.
