I commented on Linda pictures and my word was Mites now why in the world would they want to give me a bug LOL BBL gonna go eat some food after I find some food
There is a facebook page that some one has made for Caylee didn't know if you all wanted to like it she has the wall closed for comments because of the nasty people out there but she has nice pictures of the little angel
Irene: 4:07---Will be there tonite - fiance Robert found housing and we sign on Monday - vet was right kitties adapted and they have been incredible! Tell all I said hello please! Eye to the sky for eagles but hard to tell because of new fledges! No adults that we can tell as yet - more when I can, . . . .
Hoda...I googled picture of baby vole. I think it is too big for a baby vole. Also, Voles have pointed noses. Linda's baby does not have a pointed nose.?????
I just saw the post about maybe it isn't good to mess with the nest or the babies, which we were worried about. They probably were disturbed when Dennis was burning yesterday. Fortunately they are okay!
I did take a couple more pictures and they are on my blog!! I could have sworn that the tail was long and thin yesterday on the one Dennis brought to the house, but this one has a bunny like tail for sure!!
We covered the nest a little better with some big leaves and will at least check for movement in the coming days in the hopes that Mommy bunny hasn't abandoned ship. Would she be in the ground too or would she just come to the nest at night and feed them?
We have replanted all of our green bean seeds TWICE......and they are gone for the second time as soon as they come up. Hmmmmm! I think we have found the culprit!! LOL
No beans for us this year, but the bunnies will be healthy!
From CRC: New Bald Eagle Patient #15334, hatching year (born this spring), found in Dare County, NC Diagnosis: Emaciation Blood work was normal. Most likely an inexperienced juvenile. Found walking on the beach in Nags Head.
Poor thing---hope it survives...but glad to know that they ARE there! Saw osprey nest last fall.....but no eagle nests where we were....but will look really hard if/when down there more!! Will email to Candy!
Going to the kitchen now. My basil is doing great. Yesterday we prepared a rolled flank steak and put it in the freezer. The recipe takes a lot of basil. Going to do another now.
Mama only visits nest a couple of times a day to feed them--typically just before dawn and just after dark, it says. That is in order to keep the nest hidden. Do not handle them.
Thanks, Lynn. I hope handling them didn't upset the Mom. I will stay away and watch with my binoculars in the evening to see if she comes back to feed them.
When we lived in Ohio, we were trying to start a new garden when we accidentally dug into a bunny nest. Unfortunately, we killed some of the babies, but we managed to save the others and re-cover the nest.
I watched from the bathroom window at night and saw the mother come tend to the little ones.
Eventually we had baby bunnies hopping all over the backyard. At first, we thought they needed to stay in the nest and tried to put them back. That does not work. When they are ready to go, they go.
SHIRLEY Love the bunny stories I am so envious of all of your guys wild life story I on occasions have raccoons and opossum They had built a nest in my overhang over porch my phone man discovered it when he came out to see why my phone in bed room didn't work They chewed through the lines and he wouldn't fix it I put up a strip light up there and keep it burning 24 7 keeps them at bay I hear them rustling on the side of the yard at night
Susan volunteers at a raccoon rehab place. They just had some opossums, too. Someone thought they were raccoons and the rehab lady went ahead and took then on.
The raccoons are very sweet and curious. I got to visit once.
The opossums were much less friendly. They hissed and growled; Susan has posted some pictures of the hissing, growling opossums as well as lots of raccoon pictures.
Guess What: I have not read any blog posts since I left work on Saturday morning
BUT I did make a trip to Annandale to visit with Annandale Anne and her family, AND I stopped at Judie and Darth's on the way back, today !
Been meaning to, wanting to, dreaming about it, and finally DID IT ! Had a glass of the first official Iced Tea of the summer, viewed the first cucumber harvest, saw the resident Squirrel, AND enjoyed the beauty and wonder inside and out, of Judie and Darth's Roost ! Thanks Judie and Frank !!
Trip home: 93 miles in 90 minutes, and I stayed within the speed limit...[mostly ☺ ] xo Will see what everyone has been up to...as the evening progresses
the nest looks so big tonight with the wind exposing almost the whole thing lets hope the wind keeps it up when we get a visit Notice I said when not If LM being applied
They are showing on the news the site where Caylee was found hundred of people and flowers all day long Is it on your news as much as it is down here? back to the news
Odd I didn't have to sign in to google to post A COMMENT on your pictures MARGY-- I wonder why I did earlier when I commented on another's pictures Hmmm (scratching head in wonderment) LOL
Home from shopping....funny, the store we wanted to go to was closed on Sundays! But we found a couple of other store to hit. Left her house and went to Wally world...having leftover corn off the cob and steak...yummy!
I see that Margy has shared her Annandale adventure. It was the most wonderful surprise visit and Darth and I both enjoyed having the bubbly Margy with us for a while today. The Lily in the picture was a gift from Hedgie when I was in the hospital last Nov. and it is doing beautifully. Blooms on a regular basis. Yes, we enjoyed the first iced tea of the season and harvested the first cucumber of the season. Margy made it home safely in record time. A wonderful day and I am happy.
Good Evening Everyone and thank you Steve for the new thread.
Hope eagle can recover.
Linda I still think they are bunnies. Once Ed was mowing and stopped the mower and yelled for me. I went out and there in the tall grass he was mowing was a nest with 4 babies. I did hold one. Momma comes early in AM and dust to feed them. She does not stay there due to prediators smelling the scent. Ed left the grass tall in that area.
JudyE I have facebook opened and I clicked on the Caylee link you put up but only took me to my page. Is there something else I need to do????
Shirley how did Susan get on at the wildlife rehab hotline. NEAT!!
Margy nice trip you had. Hope Darth didn't overdo trying to impress you lol
Hi Paula sorry the store you wanted to go to was closed on Sunday. Yes I read the update about Irene too...thought humm fiance found house. Oh boy ....great a fiance for Irene. Goodie!!!( : and a plus she saw an eagle WOW!!!
JudyE....your pics show the baby bunnies with the tails! Yep, Linda has bunnies, for sure! And your leaves in trees are squirrel nests most certainly. Chewed phone wires---crazy critters!
Shirley, opossums can be very nasty---but so can raccoons, at least with each other. You ought to hear the fights I hear out here at nighttime!
Margy, glad you are home in your roost safely. Nice pics! Glad you had a nice visit. No pics of Darth... :(
Oh Lynn, I didn't know you had blueberry bushes! I remember picking blueberries at my uncle's house in Massachusetts...I swear those blueberries were as big as quarters!
Yup, had lots of luck...found 5 things for the beach house at the antique mall, and a couple of other things at Goodwill! Oh, and a really cool shell chime/wall hanging at Big Lots.
Please I need immediate PRAYER for Linda Shomo. One month ago she found out she had colon cancer. Stage 3 she had chemo. It did not help. Right now Linda is 65 her mother 85 yrs. old just flew in and came into house as I was leaving. She has stage 5 and it is whenever the Lord decides to take her home. She had a daycare in her home and just loved caring for children. She and I got along good. Ed daughter Brenda has a son named Josh. He is the father of Coley-Coley's mother is Sonya - Linda is Sonya's grandmother. She knows the Lord. Has helped people in so many different ways. And her grown children too.
No, Paula, not sorry I asked!! I am a real sucker for beach decor!!! Have SO much already....if we get a house, SOME of it can go, but not the majority! My sunroom is all beach/nautical---as Jo and Dana can attest to.
Here's another Guess What: I am not going to be able to catch up on the prior posts tonight! Will try for the morning.
But I can see that there is a prayer request for DanaWV's friend Linda and her family, yes, prayers are added Dana
and that Paula went to some of my favorite stores today and had a blast!
And that there is good news coming up for Lynn and some OCEAN property in the Carolinas!
other than that, I have not read backwards....
BUT I will say, that Darth was working hard with yard work, I did NOT take his picture, but he is as handsome as ever, and he DID bring out the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip cookies to go with the Iced Tea, which was delicious, both those things. They have a lovely house....many beautiful things.... I am grateful for a lovely visit with two good friends, and thoroughly enjoyed all the home, yard and garden treasures. Thank you, pals, for the visit to Magpie's Roost....
Dinner finished--a bit late. Kathryn and Hunter stayed at the pool until it closed at 8:00. They both did a lot of swimming.
They are upstairs, and I am watching television.
Lynn, the raccoons I had the most interaction with were babies who wanted to be fed their bottles. They were sweet. They get cat formula. There was one adult, but it was accustomed to people and was fine. Susan had to get rabies vaccine to work with them. But I would think that the raccoons are vaccinated, too, when they are old enough.
I will try to post a picture of the opossums on my blog if I can. I am still having some issues learning the ins and outs of this new computer.
Today, I tried to load the printer drivers, but got the message that it is not compatible with my computer, and that I should notify the primary user of this computer or the system administrator. Well, that is me!!
Maybe I need to get one of those programs you have been talking about so that my sons can connect with my computer and help me out.
Nothing yet at the beach, Margy----we wish! We are trying!! a few possibles, but.....always drawbacks of some kind.....the good ones we can afford are in great demand....too many buyers and not enough decent, affordable properties.
LOL, Paula---only $4 thou!!! Let's order one for raffle!!! In our dreams.
BUNNY UPDATE - We may have seen the Mom in the garden which isn't too far from the nest. Dennis was going out there to look for those beetles that attack the grapes and saw a bunny, so he left so as not to disturb her.....in case it is the Mom.
I watched from the house as best as I could but didn't see the bunny leave the garden area and go over to the nest area.
We won't have any fruits and vegetables from the garden, but all the birds and critters will be well fed!! LOL
LINDA you need to go to WalMart and get a trail cam put near the nest area just a thought they have a cheap one Just checking in before powering down down Nest looks nice under the moon light I agree From the way the tree shook earlier I know they are up there to, Night again
Well, it's like this...Margy said something about stopping by for a glass of tea and I thought "Oh duh, I guess I'd better make some tea." So, yes, first tea of the summer. Seems I've preferred water since my unpleasant flight down the stairs. As for a picture of Darth, well, I think you all should be grateful there isn't one as it might has stinked up the blog -- he was horribly hot and sweaty and smelly from yard work.
Linda, our Thumper is very elusive. Shows up and then disappears. We think she/he lives under some old tree debris in the far back of the property but we never go back there to make a disturbance. When he/she comes near the house I go out with carrots and she/he comes up to take them from me. Way cool. Just requires patience and "It's me, rabbit."
Paula, so glad you found some things you want and will enjoy for the beach house.
Headed to the dentist in the morning to have the permanent cap put on.
The night is on for anyone who needs to arise in the night and for anyone coming in the door late from the West Coast. Restful sleep for all.
Well, the program I was using to save pictures I copied from FB is not yet downloaded on this computer, and I do not remember what it was called. I think it is still on the old school computer, so I need to check before I take it to school.
I used my camera and took some pictures. That is one way to get a screen grab. I will see how that works. I am still learning how to get pictures from my cam to a place I can use them.
Judie - That is so cool that your Thumper actually takes carrots from you!! We have quite a few bunnies hopping in the yard just before dark. We have a lot of pine trees out front and around for them to hide under. The low branches are perfect for them to hang out when predators are close by!
Susan went to Philadelphia this weekend, and I could not resist posting one of her pictures.
The chinchilla is one of several Susan has. She is very much involved in chinchilla rescue and has one of the chinchillas that was rescued from that awful situation in Texas awhile back.
Good Evening Everyone! Took 4 tries to put a comment on Linda's bunny picture!!!Blogger started by calling me anonymous, then said didn't recognize my acct!!!! I put little older bunny pic we had on blog last night.Same, except open eyes. Anyway, finally got pics of the guys and their cars at home this afternoon and posted two on Nook.
LOLLY I went to your blog and much enjoyed seeing your pictures of where you went with your family. I tried to leave a comment and it would not let me...Thanks for sharing and God Bless you and your family.
Have been watching TV tonight...pbs had two interesting programs.
Laurel just called to bid me a last farewell. LOL She is taking Jacob and his friend Jakob to Six Flags tomorrow. OMG! In this heat! Then Wed she is going back to Six Flags with Joseph and his friend Matthew. She decided it was easier to take them separately as they like different rides. She has free tickets for all of them both days. Being a reading teacher she sponsors a program that you earn a ticket for reading so many hours. Joseph and Jacob earned their tickets, she got a ticket as sponsor, and then other teachers gave her their tickets, plus she had an extra.
Read back some. TY, Lynn for putting up that Rabbit link. That's one I have in my faves and was going to post.
Think we have that mystery solved. Now I have a squirrel one. Of course, I'll have to do more research before bothering my vet, but Shorty, our little pal hasd some sort of fur problem on her tail! She has about 1/2 a tail & especially over winter it got pretty full & even regrew some tufts on the tip. During the past 2 weeks or so, the tail is very sparse & on it's back side, you can see the center skin??? I wonder if they get mange or something? I hope it won't spread to rest of body. :>(
Wish I had LYNN for a next-door neighbor. I am in the process of making egg salad and tuna salad for Tuesday's Soup Kitchen. I have cooked dozens of eggs and will peel them in the morning and make the salads. LYNN makes the BEST egg salad EVER! She could help me!! I have found a way to peel the eggs quite easily...will 'splain later:)
LYNNE - Haven't heard from Lori since Friday, so we aren't sure how things went yesterday and today. Hopefully her Mom went home yesterday as planned.
LYNN - Thanks for the trail cam info. That would work much better. I'm thinking a "live cam" That would be fun, too, but expensive!!!
LORETTA - Hope the squirrel isn't going to lose any more of its fur. I don't know about mange, but I bet they are just as likely to get it as others. We had a fox that died under our shed in the back yard that had mange. We had to really clean the area so the dog was safe.
LOLLY - Glad Laurel didn't ask you to go along to Six Flags??
LINDA, I would LOVE to have a live cam, but most of the activity on our Trail Cam takes place after we have gone to bed, so a Live Cam would not benefit us. Seems I'm never satisfied:)
Laurel does this every summer with the boys. Two years ago she took Joseph for the day, then in the evening we joined her with Jacob. We had fun and the evening was not too hot.
Laurel loves Six Flags. As a young teenager she had a season pass. The when she was older she worked there. Had a great job. She worked in the vault...cash control. She worked in AC and did not have to wear a uniform. Michael worked there before her. It was a cushy Six Flags job.
Put Before & After pics of Shorty on Nook. Maybe some have had experience or info about this. Gonna study ☺
The Techie Binky was sitting on top the newer printer/scanner & stepped on the On button! She left! It makes lots of noise booting up!And I thought she wanted to print something! At least she's out from under the bed~~Frankie, Jr. has retired for the evening in the downstairs guest bedroom!!
PS - Of course, I'm keeping all those who need and want prayer. Special prayers for Lori and her Mom, Kay and her friend Judy, Dana and her friend Linda, Robyn and Tori, Sharon, Sissy and poor young Maddie, Red, Irene as she nears her final destination of this trip and all the momsters and dadsters in one big group ((((hug)))) that God blesses and protects us all!!
I only posted a couple pictures, but it is a start!!!
I posted a couple pictures of one of our baby bunnies from a nest Dennis found near our burn pile. They almost got fried!! Yikes!! I think there are five of them. Their eyes aren't even open yet!
P.S. Read back & thanks Lynne & Linda about squirrel. Will study. I have seen foxes with most of their fur gone & it's probably fatal. I can always consult a rehab place I know. They confirmed what we saw last summer on squirrels---botfly.Doesn't really bother them. Nighty-Night
Wanda, wanted to mention something about the hard boiled eggs. I've seen on TV those new 2 piece plastic balls that you boil after pouring egg into them! No shelling!!!
Hi, Everyone, Finally getting back here to the blog! It's been a really busy weekend! Thought I'd better make it back here tonight, though, before you all sent out a silver alert!
We took Emma to the dog park after taking care of the bulldogs, and she had fun. We gave her a bath when we got home, and she LOVES getting a bath! Looks really purty now, too.
Adding Mattie and Linda to the prayer list.
Glad to hear that Margy had a nice visit with her new grand niece, and with Judie and Darth!
Had an interesting encounter early, early this morning while still dark. Emma had to go, so took her out, and we startled a raccoon in the yard! Had to explain to Emma that they are generally not very friendly with dogs. The masked critter went up one of our big trees after reading us the riot act. Hope we don't meet up with him again!
Going to call it a night--getting pretty tired. Prayers have been said for everyone, and for every creature. Porch light is on. Both security systems are enabled. Sleep well, everyone, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
G☼☼D M☺RNING Early birds n' lurkers ! Hope everyone gets up on the right side of the bed today !
Reading back a bit I see we ned to add DF Linda (Dana's Friend, Linda) to the ongoing prayers list. Very sad case, but will pray for peace of mind and comfort with what is ahead.
Enjoyed the Ice Tea Party Conference, MARGY, JUDIE and LYNN ! For me Ice Tea Season is Jan 1st through Dec 31st. Another way of saying it, LYNN ! ☺ It's available almost everywhere year round now, but I can remember some pretty strange reactions when I ordered it "off season" back in the 60's n' 70's. Occasionally I even heard, "oh, honey, we don't have that at this time of year".
LORI is apparently still with her parents, as she sent an e-mail late last night. Just a line, saying she's very tired, missing all of us and probably will not show up here at SSCC this morning. I'm sure she'll fill us all in later today. Prayers continueing for her dear mom. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s for LORI and Nancy and Allen !
I know Lori's mom had surgery, but was was it? I missed that because I miss alot when I go back and try to read through. I'm really only on in the morning.
Hey, hey DANAMO ! LORI's mother had a catheterization Friday, coming through it well. That gave the meds a good look at her cardiac system and more extensive surgery is indicated. Should be sometime this week or next, but meantime Nancy was to go home Friday night or Sat.. LORI has obviously been too busy to get on line, but at least we know that much.
Almost a minute lag time from my hitting "publish" to the post appearing. I get worried when it moves like molasses--could mean my system is about to freeze up on me. SIL was here yesterday, but of course, the thing was working perfectly and he could detect no problems. Much like calling for an appliance service call and then having the ailing beast behave perfectly when the repairman shows up.
JUDY, I know this leaves the burden of the next 50 minutes or so on you, but I'm have to get some more sleep. I'm nodding off and can barely keep my eyes open. Have had my coffee, too. Sorry, but HAGD and I'll BBL !
We have another interesting child death case getting underway today juror selection A couple is being charged in her death two year old girls found dead in bed from being strangled to death by their pet boa the snake escaped in the middle of night once that nite to where the dad had put it back and didn't secure the cage well it got out again and killed the little girl Two years ago don't know if it will be has covered as Caylee
SO SAD turning off cam see mssg below that was on facebook
Phoebe Allens Hummingbird Webcam I have shut off the camera for the season. Both chicks are doing well and are frequently seen zipping around the yard and sitting in the pear tree peeping to be fed. Looking forward to another successful season next year. She usually starts near the end of October. See you then.
Did you hear that there was a first national spelling bee in spanish yesterday If my mother were alive she would say where is the German one One day she was in Walmart there were doing their pages in both spanish and english well she went up to the StoreManager and asked where the German announcement was and after that they stopped doing in both languages only in English
The empty nest syndrome is what we have going on here and the only cure is to see the eagles land in it Only have about 15 min before I go to work Looks like another no show for the day Darn it maybe tonight will be lucky lets hope so
Linda, definitely a baby bunny. Years ago we had a pet English Spot rabbit, Freckles, who had a very brief encounter with my neighbors rabbit, Harvey. They were the proud parents of several babies of various complexions. She only nursed them at night.
Good Morning Eagle Pals... my getting up early plan was a flop! But I have caught up on posts, just not been able to enjoy all the new pictures yet
DanaWV: too funny! your comment about Ed's driver's license renewal coming in the mail.... Am Sure he is Cruisin' the Streets of Heaven with no concern about having a valid license !! xo
I think I am confused... is the property-signing thing for Nikki and her fiance, or will this be something for you, Frank and Irene...??? am trying to straighten myself out on this
Paula sounds like you had a really fun week-end at your Other Paula's Paradise...HOME ! Sounds like some great treasures you have acquired, and for Nick also ! New Toys! and meeting some Labrador Pals-to-Be this week ☺
Well Lolly... The yard might be fried and frazzled, but you got some great chow in the freezer ! Hang in there....know all the growing things are like your best friends....hope relief comes soon (( hugs ♥ )) and keep singing to those plants ! ♪ ♪
I do feel badly about Linda. A month ago I did not know anything. She was not telling. I only found out about her situation yesterday. As I stopped to talk with a friend Micki. I went straight over to Linda's house. May God help her family through this. It is harder on them than on Linda. I believe God has his "hands" on Linda. Yes she is a beliver. Her 85 yr. old Mother flew in yesterday. Her Aunt has been with her also. Of course the grown children and her grandchilden and great grandchildren. It is sad ( : but I know God is keeping her pain down. I know she will go Home peacefully. sorry I'm sniffling
We have some great mentoring here... and terrific words of comfort... Blessings, Fellowship, and Friendship abound here on this Blog !
Can't wait to hear about the egg-shell trick, Wanda !
Must get the day in gear, headed to Berkeley Springs in a little while for some Swimming fun with the Grandson
Thanks again for all the kind words and well-wishes on my family things, had a great visit with Annandale Anne and a great number of her children and grand-children...was a send-off party for one family headed to Texas (near Houston) I have not met my new grand-niece Maya Gabriela yet, but that visit will come sooner than later !
Yep Margy don't know why they sent them. The death certificate was sent to them. Now I am wondering what poor man out there is trying to prove "he is not dead" lol
From Phoebe's on FB: I have shut off the camera for the season. Both chicks are doing well and are frequently seen zipping around the yard and sitting in the pear tree peeping to be fed. Looking forward to another successful season next year. She usually starts near the end of October. See you then
Good morning! I have already worked in the yard for about an hour! I got up at 6:45, very early for me, and headed out. The sprinkler system ran this morning, so it was very pleasant out. I got a lot done, though I do need to return and pick up my piles. Jack calls them Lolly Piles. Guess I should work with a wheelbarrow, but it is out back and I did not want to go there.
Need to return back outside and repair some armadillo damage. Grrrr!
This is an hour-long program from National Geographic about cats, those who love cats, and their influence on the environment. It has a section on the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
Dana and Lynn, I will ask Susan about the toy she gave the chinchillas. She is savvy on the appropriate care of chinchillas. They require different kinds of things than do many other small critters.
We leave 2 weeks from today for the b____!!!!! This is our annual trip to Port Aransas. (Port A) We go to Pioneer RV Park on the b____. They also have 4 cabins and we rent one for Laurel and the boys while we stay in our trailer.
Poor Margy----hard to keep up, huh? Irene and Nikki and her fiance' are signing papers today for an abode----do not know if it is a purchase or a rental. Nothing on the horizon for me, Frank and Irene YET. Just some possibilities needing more info/investigation.
Fence IS finished. Donald got it done Sat. and Sun.
Hmmm..platic egg boiler thing sounds cool!!!! Wanda, tell us about your new method. And thanks for complimenting my egg salad!!! We sure know some little boys who liked it, don't we?? ;)
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... 80 degrees here in Nestville, headed for 95 degrees, YIKES!
Headed into town to GG's and then to church...need to put away the 1 ton of canned food that we picked up Thursday evening...still in our van. It was too late and we were all to tired to unload. Soup Kitchen is tomorrow, so it needs to be put away NOW!
Kay, I used to get SO aggravated by restaurants that DIDN'T sell tea year-round. NOW my peeve is that many fast-food places have eliminated unsweetened tea......argh!
Speaking of being too tired, I was too tired to finish making the egg and tuna salad last night, so I will have to finish that tonight. Maybe I will drop the eggs off at Lynn's. Did I tell you that she makes the BEST EGG SALAD ever? Just ask Mema Jo's young grandson (Joseph, I think):) I'm outta here!
@NatureNut re: squirrel tail. Our momma squirrels often use fur from tail to line nests. The tail gets pretty thin & sparse looking, but always grows back before winter months. Maybe that is what is happening to your squirrel.
I had a miserable night....I put the satellite receiver on a music station at nighttime and turn on my stereo. Had set DVR to record something during the night and even tho' I have a dual tuner, it changed to the recording station---no big deal, but TWICE they had that stupid Beggin' Strips commercial (once aroound 4 and again at 6:30) and Liesl HATES that ad. She woke up barking her head off. ARGH!!
CarolAnne, that is interesting about the squirrels using their tail hair in the nest. Shorty certainly looks healthy except for that tail...that could be it!
Wanda, what is your secret about shelling the eggs?
You can page through the book by clicking on the Preview link. Contest ends around the end of August. I'll let you all know how it goes. Have to run off to a meeting but will drop back in afterwards.
I don't know about squirrels lining nests with their tail hair, but I have watched a pet rabbit pull hair from around her neck to line a nest in the hutch. The female was quite a bit larger than the male and she had more fur around her neck area.

They definitely have that white blaze still on their heads and their eyes aren't even open yet!
Another time, we found baby bunnies in my mother's backyard in North Carolina.
I found a picture that looks like your bunnies on pictures of bunnies
about 12 pic down on the site
Bunnies
Sure hope the eagle makes it
That is a good collection of bunny pictures, Judy.
We had pet rabbits when I was a child. You start off with two rabbits, and before long you have bunches of rabbits. We eventually gave them away.
Susan has just started working as a volunteer on the wildlife rehab hotline.
SHIRLEY Love the bunny stories I am so envious of all of your guys wild life story
I on occasions have raccoons and opossum They had built a nest in my overhang over porch my phone man discovered it when he came out to see why my phone in bed room didn't work They chewed through the lines and he wouldn't fix it I put up a strip light up there and keep it burning 24 7 keeps them at bay I hear them rustling on the side of the yard at night
I see all these leaves nest in the tree piles of leaves up there in my oak in the front yard and my neighbor tree also in my back yard
Well Hello Eagle Pals
Guess What: I have not read any blog posts since I left work on Saturday morning
BUT I did make a trip to Annandale to visit with Annandale Anne and her family, AND
I stopped at Judie and Darth's on the way back, today !
Trip home: 93 miles in 90 minutes, and I stayed within the speed limit...[mostly ☺ ]
xo Will see what everyone has been up to...as the evening progresses

the nest looks so big tonight with the wind exposing almost the whole thing lets hope the wind keeps it up when we get a visit Notice I said when not If LM being applied
They are showing on the news the site where Caylee was found hundred of people and flowers all day long Is it on your news as much as it is down here? back to the news

The noises, at the nest camera box.
Either eagle or limb. Most likely eagle because of the time...
Odd I didn't have to sign in to google to post A COMMENT on your pictures MARGY-- I wonder why I did earlier when I commented on another's pictures Hmmm (scratching head in wonderment) LOL
HODA I said the exact same thing right before you can't be wind otherwise it would do it all the time It is a eagle teasing us

Judy....loved the pictures of the baby bunnies. And, they have little tails!
Margy, loved your picture of Judie. Judie, you are looking GREAT! Wanted to hug you!
The noise again, claws on the camera box???
The camera moves
...again the camera moves...
...again the sound and a slight move...I wished which ever one it is would not be so very camera shy!!!
Thanks for the travel thread, Steve!
Home from shopping....funny, the store we wanted to go to was closed on Sundays! But we found a couple of other store to hit. Left her house and went to Wally world...having leftover corn off the cob and steak...yummy!
Lynn, thanks for the update from Irene! Fiance, huh? Good reason to move! And she saw an eagle!!
Oh, a deer and 2 baby fawns ran out in front of us near John's house...the fawns were really cute!
Linda, I'm sure those bunnies love those green bean sprouts!
Margie, cool you saw your sis and Judie and Frank!! Will check out your pics!
Oh Lolly bacon pasta...I'll have to take that recipe to the beach, would be easy to fix down there!
Oh, went to Big Lots...the gkids helped pick out some doggie toys for Nick ☺
gotta finish up on the old thread...
My apology, Steve. Forgot my manners. Thank you for the new thread. Have a wonderful week.
Paula I think the Fiancé is Irene's daughter's...
Ed left
the grass tall in that area.
JudyE I have facebook opened and I clicked on the
Caylee link you put up but only took me to my page.
Is there something else I need to do????
Shirley how did Susan get on at the wildlife rehab
hotline. NEAT!!
Margy nice trip you had. Hope Darth didn't overdo
trying to impress you lol
Hi Paula sorry the store you wanted to go to was
closed on Sunday. Yes I read the update about
Irene too...thought humm fiance found house. Oh boy
....great a fiance for Irene. Goodie!!!( : and a
plus she saw an eagle WOW!!!

Oh, OK Lynn.
Yup, had lots of luck...found 5 things for the beach house at the antique mall, and a couple of other things at Goodwill! Oh, and a really cool shell chime/wall hanging at Big Lots.
Oh and Ajay found me a neat shell lamp at a yard sale, just needs some of the shells glued back on, and it needed a shade, which I found too.
The really cool thing at the antique mall is a floral arangement picture that is made out of shells! Are ya sorry you asked LOL

Please I need immediate PRAYER for Linda Shomo. One month ago she found out she had colon cancer. Stage 3 she had chemo. It did not help. No, Paula, not sorry I asked!! I am a real sucker for beach decor!!! Have SO much already....if we get a house, SOME of it can go, but not the majority! My sunroom is all beach/nautical---as Jo and Dana can attest to.
The Swarovski eagle is on ebay for only $3495.00!!
Prayers DANA for your friend and their whole family.
Here's another Guess What:
I am not going to be able to catch up on the prior posts tonight!
Will try for the morning.
But I can see that there is a prayer request for DanaWV's friend Linda and her family, yes, prayers are added Dana
and that Paula went to some of my favorite stores today and had a blast!
And that there is good news coming up for Lynn and some OCEAN property
in the Carolinas!
other than that, I have not read backwards....
Hi,
Dinner finished--a bit late.
Prayers for your friend Linda and her family, DanaWV.
Moon is lovely shining through the trees tonight.
oh, blueberry bushes abound in Masssachusetts, that's why my sister and all the neighbors are on high Bear Alerts!
Going to close things out and go for an early morning of blog-reading...and checking for new pictures and all that jazz
Prayers for all the things I know about, and some that I don't - - -
Good Night, Precious Pals

MARGY - So happy to hear you had a great visit with your sister as well as Judie and Darth!!
Also, happy to have you back home with us!!
Nice that Irene's daughters fiance helped them find a house. ( :
Hope I have that straight now.
I am going to go get my legs up.
Prayers for those that need them and I am thankful the Lord knows them ALL.
Prayers for your friend, Dana.
Such a shame.
JUDYE - I could use a few of those trail cams!! Maybe I will think about it. The problem is they would have to be so far from the house.
All three nests that we know of are in our field next door. I don't know how to even guess the length, but it's a bit of a ways from the house.
.
Dana, peaceful thoughts for your friend Linda.
Good night, Judie.
Judie - That is so cool that your Thumper actually takes carrots from you!! We have quite a few bunnies hopping in the yard just before dark. We have a lot of pine trees out front and around for them to hide under. The low branches are perfect for them to hang out when predators are close by!
Sweet Dreams, Judie ♥♥♥
Posted a few pictures on my blog.
Susan went to Philadelphia this weekend, and I could not resist posting one of her pictures.
The chinchilla is one of several Susan has. She is very much involved in chinchilla rescue and has one of the chinchillas that was rescued from that awful situation in Texas awhile back.
Then, there are the raccoons and opossums.
I haven't been able to get squirrels or rabbits to take food from my hand yet. Judie must have an abundance of patience.
evening all!
Back from another weekend in Wild and Wonderful WV!
No bears :(
Haven't read back too far, but I see Margy visited with Judie and Darth today!!!
Prayers going up for your friend, Dana.
So cool you have baby bunnies Linda! We rarely see rabbits around here....guess due to all of the dogs.
Good Good Evening - New thread and all

Hi Lynne!!
Welcome home! We missed you ♥ Glad you made back to your roost safely. I'm sure you're exhausted!
Shirley - Cute pictures!! It looks like that raccoon is a stuffed animal!!
Good Night, Jo!
Sweet dreams to you ♥♥♥
I am pretty tired Linda! But I think most of the "major" projects are done now. Weather was just beautiful this weekend!
roflmbo...."It's me rabbit!" I love it, Judie!
Linda, the trail cams have SD or sim cards....you download it to puter (mine also as a usb cable). It's photographic, not a live feed.
Glad to know Irene got to Big Sky!
How is Lori's mom doing???
And they run on batteries!
Read back some. TY, Lynn for putting up that Rabbit link. That's one I have in my faves and was going to post.
Think we have that mystery solved. Now I have a squirrel one. Of course, I'll have to do more research before bothering my vet,
but Shorty, our little pal hasd some sort of fur problem on her tail!
Sure hope SHORTY will be OK! Maybe something got him by the tail and removed some of it??
LINDA, I would LOVE to have a live cam, but most of the activity on our Trail Cam takes place after we have gone to bed, so a Live Cam would not benefit us. Seems I'm never satisfied:)
thanks Linda...sure hope that no news is GOOD news!
Loretta, there is a mange specific to squirrels so that is possible. If Shorty is otherwise healthy, it probably won't be a problem.
WANDA - That is probably the case with us if we were to have a cam, too!!
Geeze .......this blog is slow tonight!
Hi Lynne! How was your weekend?
Put Before & After pics of Shorty on Nook. Maybe some have had experience or info about this. Gonna study ☺
The Techie Binky was sitting on top the newer printer/scanner & stepped on the On button! She left! It makes lots of noise booting up!And I thought she wanted to print something! At least she's out from under the bed~~Frankie, Jr. has retired for the evening in the downstairs guest bedroom!!
Loved looking at everyone's pics! Comments left.
Lynne, glad you are settled back in at home. You are burning up that road. Do you take 68? Not a bad road at all....I like it!
Judie, the rabbit whisperer! And we never knew!!!!
Well, time for a little booking here. Already had my bath,so will read til eyes get heavy. See you all in the morning.

it was very productive Lolly, and the weather was great!

Sounds like a nice getaway, Lynne, though I know you are working hard! It's always nice to get out of town!
Gonna hit the hay here too...was fixing up the lamp ☺ It needed some seashells reglued.

Hey Lynne - I finally started a blog!!!
I only posted a couple pictures, but it is a start!!!
I posted a couple pictures of one of our baby bunnies from a nest Dennis found near our burn pile. They almost got fried!! Yikes!! I think there are five of them. Their eyes aren't even open yet!
Gotta go!! Love to all.....

Hope you had a good weekend too Paula!

Beautiful pictures, Lolly. What a wonderful family you have. Such happy memories for all of you.
Good night. See you tomorrow, everyone.
I am exhausted and will sign off too. God Bless you all and sweet dreams. See you in the morning God Willing.
Goodnight.
Lynn,
Re your comment about the opossums you raised. Yes, I think I remember. The deer is what I really remember.
I wondered about the chinchilla toy, too. I will have to ask Susan about that. It must be something special for chins. She is very careful about that.
Yes, I like the Rocky shot, too! Susan is a drama queen.
Hi, Everyone,
Finally getting back here to the blog!
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDS Glad you heard from Lori was starting to worry I wonder if they are going to show up I heard a thud a min ago
Sun rising fast, with a gentle breeze at Sycamore Palace. Come on Queen Belle and consort, you are free to move about the nest NOW !
I notice the camera is operating smooth this mornin
Hi, dear JUDY ! Good on that thud ! Hope it's a sign that our friends are about to show up.
Good morning Kay and JudyE
I know Lori's mom had surgery, but was was it? I missed that because I miss alot when I go back and try to read through. I'm really only on in the morning.
Yes, the cam is clear ! Good !
Colors have arrived on the nest with the morning sun Now all we need is eagles in it
COLOR at the nest and lookin' good !
Goning to the couch keeping an eye from there LM
Thanks Kay, I'll include her mom in my rosary this morning...I'm not feeling well this morning, I'm going to go lay on the couch...
Oh, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, DANA ! Get some more rest and feel better soon !
JUDY, I know this leaves the burden of the next 50 minutes or so on you, but I'm have to get some more sleep. I'm nodding off and can barely keep my eyes open. Have had my coffee, too. Sorry, but HAGD and I'll BBL !
We have another interesting child death case getting underway today juror selection A couple is being charged in her death two year old girls found dead in bed from being strangled to death by their pet boa the snake escaped in the middle of night once that nite to where the dad had put it back and didn't secure the cage well it got out again and killed the little girl Two years ago don't know if it will be has covered as Caylee
the snake was under feed extremely under weight also
SO SAD turning off cam see mssg below that was on facebook
Phoebe Allens Hummingbird Webcam
I have shut off the camera for the season. Both chicks are doing well and are frequently seen zipping around the yard and sitting in the pear tree peeping to be fed. Looking forward to another successful season next year. She usually starts near the end of October. See you then.
Heard motorcycle at nest What does that count for LOL
Did you hear that there was a first national spelling bee in spanish yesterday
If my mother were alive she would say where is the German one One day she was in Walmart there were doing their pages in both spanish and english well she went up to the StoreManager and asked where the German announcement was and after that they stopped doing in both languages only in English
The empty nest syndrome is what we have going on here and the only cure is to see the eagles land in it
Only have about 15 min before I go to work Looks like another no show for the day Darn it maybe tonight will be lucky lets hope so
Ok Eagles if you show up your on your own Until someone else check in HAGD OTWIG
Morning all.
Linda, definitely a baby bunny. Years ago we had a pet English Spot rabbit, Freckles, who had a very brief encounter with my neighbors rabbit, Harvey. They were the proud parents of several babies of various complexions. She only nursed them at night.
No eagle sightings from our nest.
Good Morning Grannyblt (Lynne), Kay, JudyE, DanaMo (hope you feel better), and Lurkers.
Kay so glad you got an email from Lori.
Loved the late night comments about bunnies.
Judie you have all kinds of talents!!! hee hee the bunnie whisper....yes I love that one.
I got squirrels to eat out of my hand but never thought about a buny. WOW!!! NEAT!!
Need to go look at some pictures you all put up; Linda, Shirley, Loretta I believe.

Thanks again for all the kind words and well-wishes on my family things, had a great visit with Annandale Anne and a great number of her children and grand-children...was a send-off party for one family headed to Texas (near Houston)
I have not met my new grand-niece Maya Gabriela yet, but that visit will come sooner than later !
Best Wishes for a Great Day, Everyone
ttfn xoxo ♥
Yep Margy don't know why they sent them. The death certificate was sent to them. Now I am wondering what poor man out there is trying to prove "he is not dead" lol
Let's show our Problems How Big Our God Is Today, and Everyday
Prayers for healing and comfort continue of course, for Linda, DanaWV.....
Good morning friends.
From Phoebe's on FB:
I have shut off the camera for the season. Both chicks are doing well and are frequently seen zipping around the yard and sitting in the pear tree peeping to be fed. Looking forward to another successful season next year. She usually starts near the end of October. See you then
Morning, all!
See the morning crew got stood up this morning! Hope our eagles are enjoying this glorious day!
Good Morning Hedgie-Lynn and Paula.
I was hoping the eagles were going to come in late this AM. That never happened.
Grrrr!
Paula, love the items you found for Paula's Paradise. Has Palmer found his way there?
The Secret Life of Cats
First the mountain and now the beach!
We sure know some little boys who liked it, don't we?? ;)
Loretta, left you a message about Shorty's tail on your blog.
Have a great day!♥
Kay, I used to get SO aggravated by restaurants that DIDN'T sell tea year-round.
Just ask Mema Jo's young grandson (Joseph, I think):)
I'm outta here!
ARGH!!
Hi, CarolAnne! How's everything with you?
CarolAnne, that is interesting about the squirrels using their tail hair in the nest. Shorty certainly looks healthy except for that tail...that could be it!
Wanda, what is your secret about shelling the eggs?
Good morning. I entered a contest for making a book through a vanity press web site call ed Blurb. I finished my entry last night. Here's a link:
Book
You can page through the book by clicking on the Preview link. Contest ends around the end of August. I'll let you all know how it goes. Have to run off to a meeting but will drop back in afterwards.
Bob
I don't know about squirrels lining nests with their tail hair, but I have watched a pet rabbit pull hair from around her neck to line a nest in the hutch. The female was quite a bit larger than the male and she had more fur around her neck area.
Hi Bob!
How nice! A book! I will check it out.
Having lunch with a friend today. Time to get ready.
Temp is rising....supposed to be 100° tomorrow.
Lolly Although we were in Colorado some of the days at the same time. I am not following you to Port Aransas Beach LOL
