Traffic cams at the Bay Bridge at 6 was very light---SURPRISINGLY light....so sure hope Paula hit it at just the right time!
No sandals here, Hoda....ankles and feet way too UGLY with varicosities. But my huraches are very comfortable---not too tight at all, so that is what I'll wear. And my support hose will give my toes good support!!!

oh dear, I haven't read back very far....only enough to know that Lolly is on her way to an Armadillo, Lynn is painting her TOES blue, and Paula is in bed with someone named Nick........clearly I've not had enough sleep.
Evening all! Just popping in to say hello and goodnight and we will be heading back to MILs in the AM and not returning til Monday afternoon. I truly have had almost no time to catch up. I may take the laptop with me this weekend. Still undecided on that.

Kay, I didn't realize that Malcolm wasn't a bulldog! I'm sorry!! Don't know were I got that idea! Shirley, I know for sure that bassets can't swim. I think it's not only dense bones, but very short legs. Speaking of doggies swimming, Hubby and I want to get a shallow, hard plastic kiddie pool for Emma for the hot summer. Just need to figure out how to get it home. Not sure it will fit in the car trunk!
Oh, I forgot to tell you all about this! Sis-in-law had to call out a guy to get rid of a swarm of bees under their house yesterday! The house is tri-level, and on stilts on a hillside. The bees somehow found a way into the house too, so they had about 2 dozen bees flying around inside. They got them out by turning all the inside house lights out after dark, turning ON the porch light on the 2nd level deck by the dining room, and opening the sliding door and screen. They all found their way outside! The bee guy sprayed expanding spray foam insulation into the spot where the bees had been, so they shouldn't come back or be able to get in the house.
Our kids will be in Galveston for the weekend. Hope we get to see some pictures!

Well, it's starting to cool off a bit here, so I think I'm going to feed Emma. Poor girl has really been panting today! The amount of water she's consumed could probably float a battleship!

Welcome back, Steve. Glad the conference was successful.
Been trying to catch up but eyes are closing and head is drooping.
Kennedy Center play was an amazing surprise. Went thinking I really didn't want to spend my evening listening to bipolar issues BUT it was wonderful.
So, others have already headed to the pillows so I must get the night light turned on in case someone has to get up. The night light is on and the sandperson is waiting. Restful sleep for all.
We are having thunder and lightning right now a very strong storm. So I will sign off wishing you all sweet dreams and God's Blessings. I am glad all who are travelling made it to their destination for tonight.
I fell asleep while watching Red, White and Boom, the annual Columbus fireworks display--on TV. The noisy grand finale didn't even wake me up. So, here I am, wide awake at this ungodly hour. Looks like you've all gone to bed or shut down for storms so I'll just talk to myself for a while and maybe get sleepy again.
Good Truder visit in the late evening and great reportage` on his antics.

JUDYE, you're the first person I've "met" who shares my mother's birthday. It pleases me to find that you are a loving, generous, nurturing person just as she was ! She was, for too short a time, my best friend. We talked daily when we both lived in Tucson. We sang in church choir together as well as in a Triple Trio that sang at events all over town. My daughters can both remember her, but my son cannot. How I wish she could see what fine people her beloved grandchildren have become !

Do either of you know what time LYNN, WANDA and IRENE are planning to visit the nest area ? I do so hope they can see Belle and Truder. It would be great for Irene since she's on her way to a new life in Montana and probably won't be back for a while !

Their room is working great. I don't think they mind it at all and it's roomy enough so they seem content. They only go in when we go out and no one can watch them. I still think it's only the one dog who is getting into things, but they don't like to be apart so they both go in.
I am going to my Angies after work today for a cookout so I probably won't be on in the evening Have to play it by ear as they say

Calling in "sleepy" now that is new. I wonder if I could do that! Actually I don't have a problem in the morning, it's the afternoon that I get sleepy. I would have liked the old days where kindergarten had nap time in the afternoon.

They are repeating the same news and it also said that the pilots can either read and listen to radios to stay awake ok flying a air plane and reading don't go together I think
