Treadmill Bob? You're getting ready for that big dinner! lol I think it would be a good thing for me to start doing!
I love it when you all start quoting Sure does bring back memories...
I already had my ice cream Megan so I'll pass on the chocolate chips too.
We need to tell SISSY to bring us a pineapple upside down cake in Oct. And Megan a bag of cookies would be nice! I'm trying to get a dessert table set up!
Last night's action at work, included TWO muggings in the City, same suspect, and a BUNCH of cars gone through, ransacked, and items taken up off Broad Lane.
People: Lock your cars, and don't leave anything important in them!
THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW was the best! Rember how they would get so tickled with themselves, they would laugh hysterically and couldn't do their scenes properly.
HEY- JO - can I bring my oatmeal raisin spice cookies? Assuming, I get to be there, that is ! If not, maybe I will forward them along with one of the Berkeley County delegation....
Margy, I have been waiting for a year to get a Buddy to go with my Fox photo I bought last Open House. I am so excited, can't wait to get it and hang it up. Frame is sitting here waiting. Adorable, isn't it?
I have been fortunate to see a couple of Red Foxes "for real" in my lifetime...that little spot on the tail is great! We have grey foxes once in awhile on the property where I work..they are pretty, But the Red Ones, are Awesome! And boy can they run !
Well, all you beautiful people, I am going to bed, get ready to watch the season premiere of CSI Miami!! Gonna be a good TV week. Good night my wonderful friends!!
Alright, cookie dishes are done, I'm outa here. Must send household to bed, dog, kid and hubby, who says he's watching the game, but I'm not sure how he is doing that with his eyes closed. Nite all.
SISSY - We had a nice late night party last night with three deer at the salt lick, many different eye colors: red, white, blue, green, yellow, it was neat !
Enjoyed reading the rest of GWTW saga! Margy started it!!! Can't wait for the dessert table, Jo!! I'll do that recipe of Jim's! We can stick his pic in it!!! Have a good shift tomorrow, Margy. Sleep tight everyone. Oh...anyone see the KaiserPermanente ad w/ the song "When I grow up I want to be an old woman" phrase??? That's how I picture all of us in 20 yrs!! LOL!!! Night! WAKE UP MASON!!!
We are so full of ourselves. I think we all need to go to bed. Quoting Gone With The Wind was fun...we'll have to do it again with another movie. I couldn't believe Bob was able to quote that scene so well. He is just an all-around good guy. I love this blog!
Called a few animal rehabs today and most agreed that our little stray kitty was probably dumped by some idiot because the pound was closed and is not feral, since there's only one that we've seen.Best to trap them, keep in cage for few days as it gets used to human voices (even to TV) & can wrap in towel if needed to pet it. Touching only after it gets shots.Then if it's shy, can keep it in one room.This doesn't have to be done by us, rehabbers would do it. One place sent some very interesting info;
Today’s domestic cat derived from the African Wildcat (Felis lybica). New evidence shows that the wildcat was domesticated around 9,500 years ago in the Fertile Crescent of the Middle East and Egypt, although it was the Egyptians who truly welcomed the cats into their homes. Not only were they intrigued by the cats’ beauty, they soon realized the cats’ ability to keep the rodent population under control. Cats were soon elevated to deity status and revered as goddesses, such as Bastet the cat goddess.
To this very day, city feral cats keep rodents under control. When the cats were wiped out during the Middle Ages, the plague—caused by fleas on rodents—killed one third of the population in Europe—34 million people. Rarely do cats receive credit, but the Black Plague of Europe is one of those examples that shows the problem that could arise if ferals are eliminated. When cat populations were restored, the Plague subsided, as rodents once again had a predator to control their populations.
Hi Sissy - Yes, I was watching them too...Suzanne put a pic up...they were sunning like a Royal Pair...now out looking for an afternoon snack I suppose..

Ooooh, I love that book and movie. And I laughed so hard at Carol Burnett in the curtains.
I can't think about that right now. If I do, I'll go crazy. I'll think about that tomorrow.
good one, Deb:)
I have to restart my computer, so I am heading to bed, also. I was hoping for a sea eagle, but maybe tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is another day.
I just watched that movie at Christmas time. Might have to watch it again.
