I just can't believe how gentle the Ospreys are with the chick and hatchling,, and have you also noticed the LOOK of luvvvvvvvv in their eyes too.

Chrissy, glad you made it over here. Exciting, but now I'm not so sure. Egg looks intact at the moment. Wish they'd zoom in again. Wanda, think the egg on the left is hatching, on the left tip, but now I'm not sure.
Morning Sharon, and Wanda, and Chrissy. Those ospreys are wonderful parents.
They have changed the cam angle again Megan,, when Suzanne and I were first watching the cam was on the other side if the nest and you could see the second chicks head quite clearly just poping out of its shell. 4 eggs in all,, so I hope they all hatch usually 3 to 5 days apart, so we have a way to go yet,, fingers crossed.

Darn, loon turned her eggs and just caught a quick glimpse of 2 eggs before she got back on them. Don't know if she has more, couldn't see.

Wanda, from what I read, they found both eaglets hiding under bushes. One has a cracked beak and one has a broken wing. They are flying them to the mainland this morning for a vet check and then they will make a decision as to what to do. They more than likely will not be returned to the nest.

When I brought the Scotland cam up, she had picked up the end of an egg and moved it away.

Maybe they were just looking at a former clip when I saw that. Don't see the egg shell laying there where she laid it. I AM CLUELESS!
Sharon what you see now is real time. They go back and show "reruns" which is what you saw on her eating what was left of the egg. That's the first one's egg shell. If you watch long enough, you'll see reruns of everything since the baby hatched.
Suzanne pet,, I'm now wondering too,,, But I swear I saw a little head coming out of a second shell,,, probably wishfull thinking ???? it could of been little ones foot or the end of it's tiny little wing stump,, what do you think ????

Another eagle attacked them Norma. Paula has videos. They were so lucky to have found them. What great people at IWS. They rushed right to the nest and found them. As Jo would say Yahoo.
I do wish I could lie down on a recliner,, everytime I try to lie down I start to cough and my ribs hurt enough at the mo, but I'll get over it,, it's only Bronchitis,,, it's just the lack of sleep thats getting to me,, and your so right Sharon,, nothing is keeping me away from the Ospreys today,,, BUT PLEASE don't tell Frank,, he would kill me if he knew I was on here.
I've already done 3 loads of washing this morning, put a new filter in water jug, changed my bed,, so I have nice new clean white sheets for bed tonight,,,, lovely,,, and now I'm on here.
So no giving the games away to the hubby please.

Norma pet I think Jewish Soup has so many different variations I wouldnt know which one to choose,, thats why I stick with my Mother's recipe,,, some say you just have the liquor with Kneidlach Dumplings, others put lots of different vegetables in the soup,,, sorry to say I like both together, I love loads of veg in mine, can't bear soup that remind me of dirty water,, a goof rib-sticking thick soup everytime for me..

The BEAUTIFUL STORK stood up long enough that one could see the 'little storks'----They are getting taller each day!!---Then she 'FLOPPED' back down!!---In that nest MOMMA STORK has the most FLUFF!!---
Peregrines are messy housekeepers arnt they,, they never clean up the feathers from their kills,, it was the same with our Peregrines from a few years ago, ODDIE,,HUMBLE AND WOBBLE,, the bigger they got the more mess in the nest, until at times we couldn't see the chicks,, but at least they were getting very well fed,, and all 3 survived and are still living in London around and on the "TATE MODERN", building.

good Morning all, I'm almost ready for work. Waiting for the eggs Norma. :) Its going to be a better day today. I'm still emotionally exausted from yesterday.It was really an experience watching the babes being snached from their nest and not being able to do anything. Nilla Not heard from Louise, I've sent her a letter but I think she is still trying to get her new house in order so I'll wait for a while,, Not heard from Doreen since Christmas,, I don't know why ?? and a lot of the other girls have very young families and come onto MSN when they can but not as often as they used to,, I speak to Julie ans Sue a lot but Jill suffers from "SAD" and only comes on when she feels she is up to it, but she does speak to me through E-Mails most days.
We have our Yearly TV Program "SPRINGWATCH" starting on Monday, live everynight, so I think we will all get back chatting when it starts.

Hey, does anybody know of a baby sitter or day care in Frederick? Someone down here is looking for her daughter. Daughter lives in WV, but works at Ft. Meade. She carpools, and meets her ride in Frederick. Baby will be born in July, looking for a sitter or day care in Sept time frame.
The NBG eaglet has a "lesion" on his beak and they are going to do a biopsy next week.

Morning all!
Well, I just went outside to holler for my dog, tripped over a wire screen thingy and sliced the end of my toe open. Throbbing like I have cut off the whole toe! Go figure, I have the best luck in the world! And of course it has to be on the foot I use for my foot pedal for work!
It's a big flipping fish too!
