GOOD THUSDAY MORNING EVERYONE !!!

" I hope your all as well as can be today" !!!!

WELL I'm watching Isla,, extreme Close up,, so I can't see if she has a second chick yet,, but she looks happy so fsr today,,

It's a wonderful sunny morning here in Worcester,,, but we are expecting rain later on this afternoon,,,,

Eaglets look fine,, look a nice sunny day vfor them to,,,

PA Falcons all huddled up in the corner of their box,, but their is one who really likes to look right into the camera,, what a poser !!!

I hav'nt been anywhere else yet,, so can't tell you anymore..

My Ladyhawk [sparrow hawk] is out shopping near my back garden,, well I suppose that will be a few less starlings to keep me awake in the night,,,,

My blackbird family are fine,, and both chicks are growing fast,, one girl and one boy,, I lost little Tiggy last week,, one of the Starlings stabbed him in the heart and he passed away,, I was so heartbroken.

I have found out that the fox that visits every night at 10 mins to 4 am,, is a young male,, he stays for about 20 mins, has a bath and then just leaves,, he is beautiful to look at.

I have out 2 lines of washing,, hopeing they will dry before the rains arrive,,fingers crossed..

WELL,, thats all from over the pond so far,,till someone chats to me.

Sorry,, just looked in the eaglets,, the biggest of the 3 has got something and is eating,, middle one is looking up into the camera,," OOOO Arn't I just beautiful",
and little tit-bit is standing right on the far left edge,,giving me a heartattack.

Thats it for now,,speak when someone arrives.

They just said Good Morning to us in the chat from Norfolk Botanical Garden.

wvgal_dana said...

They are waiting for the Vet. There is a back up at the tunnel and he is coming from Richmond.

wvgal_dana said...

One possibility for the growth is Avian Pox. However, there is also some rason to doubt this diagnosis and the primary purpose of the exam is to evaluate the growth and to determine a possible cause.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

That Scottish lass is really loud!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Baby and 2 eggs alone at the moment.

wvgal_dana said...

Currently you can see an adult on the same tree as the cam. You can see a lot of staff and some visitors waiting outside the exclusion area.
There will be no discussion. Only them telling us what is happening.
So I will be writing it as they put it ok.

wvgal_dana said...

We are still waiting for Dr. Sleeman to arrive - Hampton Roads traffic.

ceil said...

Great pictures. So clear. Wow. Thanks Dana. I will be watching not talking.

wvgal_dana said...

Chesapeake Bay Region bald eagle concentration areas, particularly those in Virginia, are probably the most important bald eagle habitat east of the Mississippi River. The tidal rivers of Virginia and Maryland are extensively used by southern and northern migrant eagles for foraging, roosting, and molting.

wvgal_dana said...

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Deb ( : Are you in the chat with me???

wvgal_dana said...

While we wait I will share some information on Bald Eagles. As of 2007 nearly 550 nesting pairs in VA's coastal plain.

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning
I made sure our nest was doing well & see the adult with our kids. I am now over to NBG to see what is happening. I have not read any of your posts so I hope everyone here is also doing well.

wvgal_dana said...

Bald eagles will continue to be protected by the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. But future growth of their populations, both in Virginia and across the country, may be constrained by the loss of protection of potential nest sites and suitable bald eagle habitat as a result of Federal de-listing.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Well, it seems to me - they removed the Bald Eagle from the endangered species list and now all hell is breaking loose everywhere. Probably not changed from past years but everything has a camera on it now and we can see what is happening.

wvgal_dana said...

Because of its rich food resources, Chesapeake Bay also is host to a large influx of summer migrants from Florida and other Gulf Coast states from May to September.

Chrissy Beahan said...

Hi all I'm back,,,

Thank goodness Dr Sleeman is late,, or I would of missed the whole thing.

Going back to watch,, speak afterwards,,
