Morning, Sharon, Ceil, and Dana. Exciting this morning, but now I have a Friday crisis, so will leave the reporting to you all. Two chicks showing barely under Mrs Falcon. Hubby must be around, she was busy hatching when he brought breakfast this morning. Now she's looking up and talking..and what, cleaning the nest? Not sure Oh, he's dropping food for her, how nice!!! Wow, never saw that before. How very cool. Man, she's scarfing it up too. OMG, never saw anything like this. he drops food in front of her to grab. Guess she doesn't want to get off those newly hatched babies.
Ceil, just for giggles the other day I tried the "watch the live cam" under the still pic. Took me right to it, and connected. Don't have a clue why this works and nothing else ever does. But after watching this one, I keep refreshing the still pic to see better. Can't take pics off the live feed, but can the still.
Ok, have alligators getting ready to bite, back later I hope.
Thanks Megan and Norma...I've been trying to keep an eye on the blue bird box. I want to see the babies so bad. That means walking out into the yard (uneven) yuck....the black cap chickadees took over the clay bird house. There is another pair of them that I need to get something for them to build in.

OMG, we DO have 3 babies, OMG!!! Dad just came in to meet the new kids in the house. How cool is that. Man, they hatched back to back. One can almost hold head up but very wobbly. The other 2 can't. Wow, don't think she's ever had them hatch that close before. Wow, that's exciting. Two to go.

Good morning all! Just dropping in to say "Hi!". Have a busy day ahead. Going to see #1 grandson,Joseph, play baseball. (coach pitch). Picking up #2 grandson, Jacob, from daycare. Taking new desk and bookshelves that Jack built for the playroom up to their house. So, once again will be gone all day.

Hi all. 3 babies are alone, one has his mouth wide open and must be screaming! Too adorable. Oh my, look at that huge mouth! He's got his wobbly head up and mouth wide open. Other 2 are sleeping. Oh, here comes mom. Gonna sit on that baby! See they got fed already.

Exciting news out of Harrisburg, PA, Today, 3 out of the 5 eggs laid this year have hatched. The chicks appear to be doing well. If all goes well we expect the other two to hatch very soon.

Oh, just checked their web site, they have a pic of the 3 that hatched today! Expect the other 2 eggs to hatch soon. Man, these kids are all gonna be the same size, can you imagine? How cool is that!
Ok, should have read farther. Saw where you already answered her, Helen, and posted what's on the site. yeah, she already had 2 when I brought the cam up this morning, and watched the 3rd one hatch starting around 6:30ish. Too very cool. She helped by eating some of the shell.

The SanJose baby falcons are walking all over the nest box as well as they can. Make that wobbling all over the nest box. They're all down at the end with mom. Too cute.
Mom is laying down, and has been as often as I've checked the nest this morning, in Finney's nest. Wonder if we have or are going to get an egg soon? Can't wait.
Our poor PA falcon is exhausted. She's been up hatching babies for hours! Hope dad relieves her soon so she can get a panda nap!

Normabyrd, I read earlier about your bluebird troubles. Not sure where you are from, but here in Missouri most of our rain and storms come out of the west. Here, a west facing box gets a lot of rain water blown into the hole. All of mine face east or south, and most of them are occupied! Maybe just reposition them and see what happens!

Live feed is back on.
There are two eaglets in the sea eagle nest, I think it was in Norway. The nest is on the far left of the cam but I could see two heads.
I know that Osprey eggs appear and disappear mysteriously sometimes, but it appears like BWO is back to two right now.
She's on the side of the box eating her fish, and you can see the eggs.

61° and cloudy here this morning, chicks are all lined up sleeping together. This morning,the wren was singing loudly early, I went outside and discovered last night or early this am, something ripped the wrens nest out of the wreath and well I guess you know the rest of the story. It makes me so mad, cause I'm 99% sure it was a neighbor's cat, they are always in my yard cause I have so many birds. Cats are hunters and when let outside they will hunt birds, mice, etc. Did you know feral and domestic cats kill over 700 million birds a year? Domeswtic cats shopuld always be kept inside, feral cats should be trapped. SO now my poor wren is out there singing his heart out- I have yet to find the female, hope they didn't get her too. Sorry- climbing off my soap box(or flower pot) just so sad to lose them:( and pissed at my neighbors for letting their cats roam all over my yard.
The poor male wren just hasn't figured it out and is calling for the female. He is still bringing bugs for the babies..

Sorry to hear about your Wren's nest, Megan. There are still wild predators in many areas too.
Perhaps you can find out about Wren's nest boxes and put one in a safer place.

Hello Dana and Jim. That's the thing about wrens, they nest where they want to. I've had them nest in coffee pots, wreaths, pieces of pipe in the garage, barbecue grills... I am constantly chasing away cats from my yard. They come up and lay in wait for birds at the birdbath, at night they come up closer to the house snooping around.The male is breaking my heart cause he has been calling for hours, she's not answering him.
