Suzanne will tell you I nearly had a heartattack this morning with the Ospreys in Scotland,, they played a re-run of an intruder and Angus fending it off, boy what a fight.
Suzanne pet listen to this,,did you know that the young bird Isla arrived with and mated with was her SON,, he is about 14 years old,, if you read all the " NEWS" updates all the stories are there..
I didn't know incest was the thing !!!!
They also think that there is no chance at all that he can be the daddy,, it's deff Angus.

I walked over a road bridge a while ago,, and very fast moving traffic passed under it,,I didn't think I was scared of anything like that but I just froze and my legs wouldn't do as they were told,,
Nothing has ever happened to me like that before,, I think it was the noise of the traffic, it was like thunder,,and I don't ever want to do it again.

PS,, I can on just to see if Isla had got another chick over night,, and been here all morning,, time seems to pass so quickly when your on here doesn't it,, you think you have been on an hour and 4 have passed.
It's no wonder our babies were being so STILL and patient...my picture was frozen...refreshed it and now they are jumping around and fidgeting.

Hi all; Yesterday when i went and
checked on the eagles they had just
been fed and then settled in for a
nap.They seem to all get along and
share the food and are all about
the same size.The wind was a little
strong and i was taking a photo of
them when guess what? a poop-shoot
and i just knew i had a shot of it
but with the wind and the movement
of the tree and leaves the shot
was blerd (oh nuts it was not clear).I am going to spend more
time watching them and seeing them
flap there wings to build there
wing mussels,it will be neat to
them take turns.I say a prayer each
night that god keeps watch over
them.
I hope that everyone has a great

I'm only surmising pet,, by her actions,,,
She has been in the birthing den taking in nesting material and shredding bamboo stalks in there too,, and she is sleeping alot more than usual and she has gone off her carrots as well, which she usually loves,,,,
She was doing all this when she was carrying Gobbo.
But I'm only guessing,,,putting 2 & 2 together and hoping I'm not making 5.
I always live in hopes Helen pet.
and I've worked out the possible due date would be,,if she is,, to be the 7th of July.

Norma enjoy you study group. I miss having one in my home. Wanda on Faulkner we had a study group in that side..neat huh.
Yes had cervical shot...takes care of neck movement, shoulders, arms to fingers. Have to be carefull 48 hrs. of movement, lifting, bending etc. Last shot lasted a year. I pray this one does too. I go toward end of June for the spinal shot.
Chrissy, these are the same actions of a false-preganancy also, she did the exact same thing last year and did not deliver, even the hormones last year looked good, they will try to takes sonograms, which she loves to have, because she loves the gel on her tummy, but sometimes she just flat out refuses. Zoo will let us know if they find out, otherwise it will not be til the birth, like when Tai was born

DON'T FORGET THE BANDING TOMORROWThe next big event associated with the Rachel Carson falcon family will be the banding of the eyases; all four seem healthy and are developing normally. The banding event will be live Webcast and 150 students and their teachers will witness the proceedings in the Rachel Carson State Office Building auditorium. The event takes place on May 22nd at 1 PM. Those who are interested in endangered species management and biodiversity education are invited to visit the DEP Website and watch as the young birds are assigned the alpha numeric codes that will stay with them the rest of their lives.

Just found out that Andrew made the Dean's list this semester at Concord. His GPA is 3.62 - 2 B's and 7 A's. A's are in the music classes and B's are in English and Political Science!

Tomorrow, Thurs, is when the NBG eaglet will be removed from the nest to have the growth on his beak taken care of.... Will be interesting to see how the adults react to this.....

A DGIF wildlife vet will examine the eaglet.
Don't miss the action Thursday morning, May 22.
A few days ago, a growth was seen on the eaglet's bill. The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries wildlife veterinarian wants to take a closer look to determine the type of growth. So, on Thursday morning, a local tree climber will retrieve the eaglet from the nest.
Join the retrieval online starting at 9 a.m.
An NBG representative will narrate the online chat forum hosted by WVEC.com.
The growth was first noted by a local photographer and by a researcher from William & Mary Center for Conservation Biology on the 16th of May. The growth, located on the left side of the upper mandible, has grown quickly and is now quite visible. A growth such as this generally indicates a diagnosis of Avian Pox, although this cannot be confirmed without examination and further diagnostics (such as a biopsy).

I know about ribs too,, mine feel as if they have shattered,, but it's the cat fur I've seemed to have swallowed that I can't get rid of,,and the cough medicine won't shift it either.
I think I need a good de-cokeing,, get rid of all the soot and grime,, the drugs help,, well at least they make the day fuzzy enough to allow me to live in a haze,, for now,, till they run out,, then i suppose it's the downwards slide to the withdrawls!!!
I hope you can feel better soon pet,, is it perminant that you are on the oxygen ????

Like all toddlers, Ally will have an old head on young shoulders,,, I bet she is a darling though,, the light of your life,,
When Gill's [girlfriend] daughter was that age [Alix] she was fantastic when I looked after her,, she would help me bake and do the house work,, she would bring her own little pink hoover and help me. THEN she would go home and tell mummy all about her day with me,, once she said to Gill," Mummy,, why don't you let me bake with you", boy I've never lived that one down, but I love watching kids have fun, and Alix even now loves coming here she is now 19 years old and at University, I get a phone call now and then asking if I've baked her favorite Choccie biccies, and would I please send her a batch.
Kids,, arn't they just a wonderful Blessing.
