Hi Mits! You just gave me a good laugh. SPIT! I love it!!

Been to the doctor this morning. He said everything is looking good. However, I am already tired of how it looks (awful!)and feels. No pain, but it does feel "funny". Also, my eye is still dialated and therefore very sesitive to the light. We walked around the yard, but In a short time I wanted inside and the dark. It was giving me a head ache. Go back again next Thurs. I did very well on the eye chart though, so I am feeling hopeful!

MITS said...

that's good Lolly...hubby had that surgery a few years back, gave him 20/20 vision, but did reveal a large floater, that makes seeing difficult...he has been to all the big time drs here in DC, and the Wilmer Eye Clinic up at Johns Hopkins, but not really anything they can do about the floater, but the will keep an EYE on him

Lolly said...

i have a few floaters as well, but I have finally gotten used to them and most of the time do not "see" them. Sorry he has a big one, that is not pleasant!

I know I am feeling and seeing better today, because yesterday I had no interest in opening cams. I have a few up now.

Spotlight!!

yes, thank heavens for other cams to watch

MITS said...

I was just watching that, Jo.

Don't see any mention of a hatching for our Scottish Osprey Lady. 50 eggs in a lifetime of an osprey is a heck of a lot of eggs!

MITS said...

been watching her too, she has been faitly quiet.

The Scotland sunbeam is beautiful!
Lolly, glad you're coming along w/your eye, Hope you're 100% soon.
Are they having you wear dark glasses when outside?

Got Big Blue Birds from Andrews AFB starting to fly over the house! Guess I'll go out & maybe get some pics.
BTW, for this afternoon---GO BIG BROWN!!!!

Hubby & Son are up on the house roof installing an attic fan. Son-in-Law is attic doing the electrical work.
In house repairman! lol

Paula was right about it never raining on the b-day parties for niece & nephew! Beautiful outside!

MITS said...

tell them to be careful, Jo:)

Lolly said...

Whoops! My sister called, we had a nice long conversation.....sorry about being away.

Yes, Nature, I have the over the glasses sunglasses to wear. Could not go outside without them. Inside I wear my glasses or an eye shield they gave me. I really see better with the eye shield as it too shields the eye like the sun glasses. (on the side)

The stork cam (almost said Storch, I am speaking German!) is so noisy. Had to turn it down.

Lolly said...

All three baby storks in view.

Lolly said...

Down she went! First time I have seen all three. They are so cute! They look so little since her legs are so l-o-n-g!!

MITS said...

Lolly have you checked out the stork cams I posted up earlier on the blog

MITS said...

oh ok, Jo I have that one in my favs....here is lasting news on their unhatched egg...

May 13, 2008 --

The second egg was removed from the nest today, "candled", and determined to be infertile. The eaglet, which hatched by early morning of May 8, 2008, appears very healthy.

NatureNut said...

Checked all the other storks earlier and nest w/4 has HUGE babies! I guess they're so interesting because we don't see them around here. Wow, heard a lot of beak clacking---father stork came in.I like how in the daytime there are lots of other little birds landing and chirping in bottom of the nest.
Loon cam yesterday mentioned that parents off nest for over hour because fisherman in canoe had a dog. They didn't like that!
Haven't seen major airplane show yet.....BBL

Pretty picture at NBG. Adult sitting on branch and chick just resting.

MITS said...

eating our nest, first time I have seen adult there all day

Mema Jo said...

Watching the falcon chicks at SanJose
They were motionless for quite a while - they must have been napping - up they jumped and wings were stretching and preening started..
I love seeing them hobble up & down their walkway to the nest box.
I may go see what is worth watching on TV - ..... BBL
