Sure was awesome coverage. Wonder when mom will come back. Poor kids look scared to death. Well, guess they probably are, what was that big two legged thing??????
Yes, it is hot there today and I am sure some of it is the stress of something different. He was very fast and efficient, wasn't he? That is my first banding to watch!!
Well, darn, there she went. Hope she's hunting and will bring the kids a nice lunch surprise! Thanks, Norma, I have to pet all the kids to get into my house after I'm gone. They have me trained very well! LOL, that's my dues to get back in after leaving them all day. Mom's back, she flew around checking to make sure all those strange creatures were gone.
Hi all! I am home from surgery. All went well. However, I can not see with this eye patch on. Going to go sit down and close BOTH eyes.
Can not read the blog, but couldn't believe the number of postings. Got scared!!!! But read enough to figure out you were watching a banding. Right?
Thanks for all the prayers. This patch comes off in four hours, go see the doctor in the morning, give it a day or two and then we will see if I can see TV better. :)
Have a great day! I won't be on. I just want to close both eys!
Take care Lolly, you'll feel better shortly. Glad it went well! Thanks, Helen, talk to you Monday. you have a good weekend, too!! Actually, raptors' feet are called....feet! It's the claws that are called talons. On smaller birds, they are nails or claws :P But either way, they can be painful when dug into one's skin!
Thanks Deb! All 5 pics are great. I had no idea he came down with that far of a drop! Clara is a beautiful falcon - really upset with today's procedure but maybe a bird's memory has a very short span - Like mine is sometimes lol.........
It's turning out to be a very warm, sunny day in So Cal ... in the 80's.
Live feed with the Dolby Surround sound is up and working well today. Just saw several strenuous wing excercise sessions. I think these kids may fly one day.
Deb, thanks for the banding pictures. I love the pictures of the upset Momma. What a beautiful bird!
Eye patch is now off. Hurrah! Can not see, but I think it is getting better. I see mostly light with that eye. Interesting. Sitting around mostly with both eyes shut. Boring! It is also a beautiful day outside and here I am sitting inside.
I found more info on the banding video. The man who wore the cam and did the banding had others to do today, so it will probably be next week before it is ready for viewing.
Just got back from getting a haircut...boys prices went up. I go to where I used to live area. Guess I will be going someplace closer. Between their raise in price and gas price to get there. Well change with the changes.
Someone's husband said, "It is what it is". Wonder whose it was??? hummmm
Lolly, I have been praying for you. Dear Ones, I got to chaperone a group of Medical Assisting students to Dollywood yesterday. The American Eagle Foundation has Eagle Mountain there and a bird show. There are so many eagles there. The last time I was there, there were not that many. They could easily become overcrowded. Lots of donations were made yesterday during the show. Oceola breaks my heart. All the eagles there cannot be returned to natural habitat. I hate seeing anything in captivity, but so happy to see they are well-cared for. I will send pictures as soon as I can. It is so cold here and rainy. It is what we call "Blackberry Winter". BBL donna

Lib and Belle both flew into the nest early this morning and neither on brought anything. Maybe they were checking to make sure all the left-overs were gone. Then a short time later, food arrived. I believe Dad brought it in and the youngsters tried eating on their own. After a while, Mom came in and tore it apart and fed them.

Morning, everyone. I am heading out to finish mowing. Three times in one week is too much, hopefully it doesn't last long. I got about 2/3 done last night and then I pooped out!
All done for another time. Later in the summer, I will be down to once a week, but spring and fall are killers. There isn't any rain in the forecast, maybe only 2 times next week!
Looks like a nice day and we are off to break Tori out :). We will spend the day on the Eastern Shore for seafood and maybe a trip to BW, if my back and Tori are up to it.
She is doing better but progress will be very slow this time.
Good morning all. It is a gorgeous day in Baltimore. I looked in on BWE and Bwo early this morning. One eaglet was there I guess the other one was branching. BWO osprey was on the side. Have a great day. Preakness today. Just had some sky writers outside. They used to have the balloon race right over my house and the Clydesdales used to get hitched in front of my office. Did not see any of that this year. Good luck Big Brown.
Hubby and I were at the Preakness 30 years ago when Affirmed won the 2nd leg of his trip to winning the Triple Crown....later years we used to take our son to see the hot air ballons when they did the Preakness Hot Air Ballon race, I have a great shot of Kevin trying to climb into one of the balloon baskets
I have graduation this afternoon, so i better start getting ready. It is only an hour away, so that isn't too bad. It will be warm in the gym, supposed to get up to 80 today. There is a blue bird at Okie, can't see the head, maybe a blue jay.
So glad to hear that new twins are OK & Robyn;s Tori will leave hosp. Pray for good health for all. I've been there myself w/about a dozen surgeries since 2000, some for CA and I am fine! Know there is a God & prayer works! Amen

I fell right through the split
The banding of the SanJose falcon is covered on the previous page.
We all agree it was AWESOME
coverage!
Yes, it is hot there today and I am sure some of it is the stress of something different. He was very fast and efficient, wasn't he? That is my first banding to watch!!
Come on home, Mom!
Deb It was exceptionally good coverage. I sure do appreciate their cam and camera man!
Remember 5/22 for PA falcon banding..
it was already 82°there at 8 in the morning...expecting a high of 95°
OK Need to take a break!
I'll ask again before I leave -
Is there a link to a home page or a blog/news page for the SJ falcon cam?
LISA has pics up of the OSPREY PAIR still mating & bringing fish to the nest!!!----
Link to San Jose
Not that I know of, just where we found it when Anne told us about it.
SAFE JOURNEY HOME SUZANNE---BE CAREFUL---GIVE ALL THE LITTLE FUR BALLS A LOVE PAT!!!!----
p.s. How did "LADY G" get along with her hair cut yesterday!!
I don't know, Helen. I can't find anything on their site.
I think it is Buta Buta out in her garden playing.....
Oh, just saw a shadow fly by on the wall. Hope that's mom coming back now!
She's getting closer!
SSORRY I MISSED the FALCONS!!---Looks like it was GREAT!!
Mom has landed!
Mom has landed on the ledge, moving closer to chicks.
Well, what's she waiting for? She's checking on the kids, but not going down to the nest box.
She is really panting, too. Poor thing, it is hot and she is stressed. Thanks for the falcon site, Jo. Off she goes.
I missed the coverage too but I saw her land and she was raising h***.
Oh wow, Deb are you watching? Looked like she was chasing that white bird, whatever it was away. Wish she'd get up to the chicks!
Wow, that momma is not a happy camper at all!

Mom is still flying around, just wish she would come in and tell the kids they'll be alright!
Time for me to hit the road. All have a great weekend. Let me know if we get a new baby in Scotland!!!
I wonder if human contact like this at SJ has ever caused a parent to abandon the babies. This seems kind of cruel to me!
I don't think that is going to be a problem, Sharon..jmho.
Sharon you might remember the Harrisburg babies were banded last season. The parents came back and took care of them. They did ok .... if that will help you Sharon. ( :
One of the babies at SJ has walked out from between the wall and the nest.
The 2nd baby falcon at SJ is now out and they both are in the shade of the wall.....one more to go ( :
wee wee this is almost like being on a trampoline while I flap my wings lol
falcon mom looking for leftovers,,,he took them all

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!! :) That is what the eaglets are saying about the food and not getting leaves for lunch.
Check your email message.....
I just did!! Thanks so very much. Check your email!
I take it that you are saying to all
that
You Eagle Eyed Sharon
will be there!
That is perzactly what I am saying! :)
Remember that there will be an
Open House in October should you not be coming in June. Last open house I know that the adults were seen overhead!
How close can we get to the tree since there are eaglets there this year?
Parent just came and went!
probably not as close as last July, but you can still see them with binoculars
You have to stay on the hard road
Did you see the goofy eaglet with a mouthful of leaves??
Sure did! So funny!
I wonder if Sunday, June 8, will be market day for Megan.
Should be, Sharon
I think it will be,Sharon

Mom falcon is laying on the roof with her wings spread out, not sure why she is doing that. Oh now she moved up in the box.
There are pictures from this morning's banding on the mayor's page. I am sure glad it wasn't me that had to go down the side of the building.

They sure are feeling the wind beneath their wings tonight.
Jo or Sharon before there was talk about their feathers. Remember right before Spunky fledged I think it was MissInbetween who was helping pick feathers
Fight at the nest.
All three were pecking at each other. One moved to the 12 position and the other two that were really pecking each other made up
The leaves are just to make a dry floor on which to lay....I think
LOL Ceil - Ms Inbetween did help
get rid of some of the down on Spunky. Especially the ones Spunky couldn't reach on his back! I do remember that.
Jo, They remind me of siblings. One minute fighting the next minute taking up for each other.
Hi Ladies,
I am at my Mom's and can't get real player to bring up our nest. Is Live Feed down?
BBL watching the ball game.
Wanda, my live feed is fine.
Mom or dad just flew in
Could be wrong but it looks like Lib looking for left overs, but think his kids ate all of them
So funny. Moved a few leaves and flew off. All three watched.
Thanks Ceil...I'll keep trying.
Parent back. Moving leaves.
parent found a crumb kid wants it
Good luck Wanda. I know you will get it working for your mom.

Good Lord, Deb, you are either shoveling or mowing....
I have had 1 little hummer - but only a couple of times at my planters. He like my neighbor's hummer feeder best!
Deb That SD grass must really have a good climate which promotes rapid growth!
All done for another time. Later in the summer, I will be down to once a week, but spring and fall are killers. There isn't any rain in the forecast, maybe only 2 times next week!
Because of Anne Marie, the whole time I was mowing I was singing "The End of the World." I hope I don't have that song in my head all day!

Glorious Saturday Everyone! Wow, there was lots going on Fri. We couldn't get online at work, so just catching up now. Loved the SJ banding.
I have graduation this afternoon, so i better start getting ready. It is only an hour away, so that isn't too bad. It will be warm in the gym, supposed to get up to 80 today. There is a blue bird at Okie, can't see the head, maybe a blue jay.
its a bluejay
and now a woodpecker
So glad to hear that new twins are OK & Robyn;s Tori will leave hosp. Pray for good health for all.
I've been there myself w/about a dozen surgeries since 2000, some for CA and I am fine! Know there is a God & prayer works! Amen
glad things are going better for you...NN:)
