DEB, the awning was blown down in Virgina (only about 100 miles from home). The wind was blowing VERY hard. A Good Samaritan came by and helped us after Gene tore up hig fingers. He stayed with us until a repairman came. I will post a few photos of the incident.
22 April 2008 Not much has happened since the last entry: the third egg being big news in itself! Helen, thanks for the weather report; you forgot to say AMEN. It is cool here and cloudy. Not a very pretty day, but everything is green and in full bloom.
Hi everyone... my live feed is "choppy" refreshes every few seconds, does anyone have a solution for that? No sound either. Our babies are starting to look less like little bobbleheads and more like Belle and Lib! Anyone know where we can get Baby Eagle Safety Nets? lol Have a great day all!
HAPPY EARTH DAY MERINA!!!---EAGLETS are growing like "weeds"---They seem to 'sprout up' over night!!!---Are you from WV or are you just having 'trouble' with the blog!! ho!
Oh, I hope the photo of Gene's hand doesn't freak you out. HELEN, I thought of you when I posted it; doesn't it look like something you might see in the morgue on CSI? LOL
ATLANTA ZOO UPDATE!!----LUN LUN has been artificially insemination with semen from YANG YANG last evening!!-----They were together earlier---didn't happen!!----Saw worker cleaning up BUTA BUTA'S playroom!!!!---Didn't see the 'LITTLE BEAUTY' yesterday or yet today!!

Hey Norma... Yup! I'm West "By God" Virginia born and bred! I live in Petersburg in Grant County. My son is a State Trooper in Charles Town and my "daughter", his wife, works at the NCTC where the eagle nest is located. She's the one that got me hooked on our babies. I have been watching the blog and getting a kick out of all the great people on here!
I was just watching the live feed when Liberty brought a fish in at 12 o'clock, one of the bigger chicks must have gotten a hold of it and start mantling and crying (whining?). Then Belle landed next to them, looked around a little, then my feed went dead!!
Safe trip home and a good day to Suzanne if she can read this.
TROUBLEINWV---WELCOME!!!---I live in ROMNEY---Know lots of you PETERSBURG folks!!----Bet you know JILL!!---She is the CITY MAGISTRATE in Martinsburg---& grew up in Petersburg---- Don't pay any attention to SHARON'S cussing---She from WV too!---BLUEFIELD!!! ho!
Hi all, bye all. Busy day here today. Busy day here this week. Maybe I can view cams and blog tomorrow. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Oh, HAPPY EARTH DAY, everyone. Just glanced at the last few comments, no, Norma, the little one was not standing. The other 2 were though, but don't think it lasted for very long. Outta here for real, home to pet the kids and see if I can find where my possum lives!
Normabyrd, I am thinking Pearl is the biggest and blackest one but who knows. I know for sure which one Baby Littley is but not sure about the other 2.
gee, I wonder if I felt so scared 2 years ago, when the eaglets got so close to the edge. I keep telling them to get back and to be careful. I saw the other day that the parents built up the sides of the nest with sticks...I was glad of that!~
I can only recognize #3!!---I think SHE reminds me so much of SPUNKY!! The other two---I can tell difference if they are together!!---#1 is really growing!!!!
BABY LITTLEY--Cute--never heard that word before!!!
HAPPY EARTH DAY GEULA!!!---I have been heard to say---I don't worry about them falling out of the nest-------THEN--One moves too close & I start SCREAMING!!---ho!---
WOW!!!!!!!---Guess who just stood up and flexed HER wings!!---#3---Most wonderful sight for these eyes to see!!----I feel 10 lbs. lighter!!! LOVE HER!!----LIFE IS GOOD!!!
Looks like the female is taking a snooze after lunch at BWO. Either that, or she's getting ready to lay eggs. The nest doesn't look built up enough for that yet though.
I was just on the wood duck site and there are two females at the box. They have been spotted together a few times today, once incubating together. People are wondering if the 24 eggs are from 2 females or if the second female is just now laying eggs. I would like to see them together, there is just one there now.
WOW---I think the natives are getting restless!!!---Been trying to study my lesson for tomorrow--but these WINGS FLAPPING FIGHTS are just too much!!--#1 is really large----Too funny to watch!!
Sharon, you are too funny. My sister in CA thinks that if you let the hair on your legs grow in the winter, it will keep you warmer. I rolled my eyes at her, if it is cold a little bit of hair isn't going to keep you any warmer. (like she needs to worry in CA)
First mowing of the year done. The first one is always the worst, cleaning up after winter. I miss my tree, but it sure makes mowing a lot easier. No more ducking under it, picking up branches, etc.
I knew it was going to go down, it was starting to act like a 5 second refresh...so I re-booted it and it didn't look like it wanted to come up, but it did....and now it is down:(
Wow I kept reading about OR nest. So I just brought it up....eeekkkkk eagle parent is really dug deep down in. Wow the amount of snow around it...omgoodness Prayers for that nest ~j~ ~j~ some angels too
Since today is EARTH DAY I have dedicated myself. To recycle my plastic water bottles. We don't have recycling out here. I am sure I can find some place to take them. I know of one place close by. Maybe the NEW WALMART will have a recycle place.
Well poop... can't get a connection. Is the feed down or is it my dsl? Can someone put up the url for the Finland site? The only site I have is just an empty nest??? Thanks!
Trouble, my live feed is down too and I have not been able to see the still cam for about 3 weeks or more. By the way, I qualify for that same nickname myself. I am the baby in the family and always got away with a lot! Never did burn down a chicken house though that I know of! :)
Here is the other one, I forgot to say it is night now, so everything is dark. The osprey are just coming to this nest, I think they have been spotted a few times.
I know what you mean Mits. I couldn't wait to get back to tell you lol....duh me should have known you looked at site and seen the "blue".....love Lola and Kidd
This is certainly be different for them this season. With the only 1 hatch last season....but I think they can handle whether it is 3 or 4 eggs....they are good parents. I mean who wouldn't be a good parent with the color of "blue in their nest" lmbo
Cam is up with no sound, just started the feed from home. We tried to restart the cam at work, and found out we had a problem with the cable modem provider. I'll turn the sound in the morning from NCTC.

VA LADY is low in the nest!!---Don't know if anything is happening!!
Sent Steve an email RE: Live feed
Thanks PAULA!!!---Just waiting to see the the KIDS standing!!--- ho!
My live feed is down also. I think the rain made those eaglets grow. They sure are getting big.
Used the same password. This time it let me in.
how did you get back on Ceil??? and you still get the 30 second cam don't you?
Just signed in and it went okay. I get the 30 second cam. The three of them are flaked out.
LIVE FEED IS BACK UP!
Oh I just love hearing the poop shoots!! Puts a whole new twist on it.
Pearl sure is exercising those wings!
CEIL---I said that earlier---I do think they 'sprout' up over night!! HAPPY you made it back!!!
SHARON---Which one are you calling PEARL!!---I get them mixed up!!
Front lawn is mowed, now I have to tackle the back after a little eaglet break.
Glad to be back Norma
Normabyrd, I am thinking Pearl is the biggest and blackest one but who knows. I know for sure which one Baby Littley is but not sure about the other 2.
Well, those eagles of ours are sure growing FAST! Amazing, huh?
Soon there won't be enough room for the threesome!
I just realized that we've got sound! DUH!
And, by the way, my daddy always called the runt Baby Littley. That is where that comes from!
Has anyone noticed the 'white cloth' in the VA nest!!---Not sure I see the EAGLE either!!----ANY INFO???
gee, I wonder if I felt so scared 2 years ago, when the eaglets got so close to the edge.
HAPPY EARTH DAY GEULA!!!---I have been heard to say---I don't worry about them falling out of the nest-------THEN--One moves too close & I start SCREAMING!!---ho!---
The only white thing I see in the NBG nest is an eagle's head.
I don't see any comments about the live feed being back up, but I just opened mine again and it's working.
C(°?°)3
Jim
It is time to get to the backyard, for some reason, it isn't mowing itself.
No. 3 was just standing too, and then he actually spread his wings and kinda excercised them.
C(°?°)3
Jim
WOW!!!!!!!---Guess who just stood up and flexed HER wings!!---#3---Most wonderful sight for these eyes to see!!----I feel 10 lbs. lighter!!!
LOVE HER!!----LIFE IS GOOD!!!
Looks like we are trying to pick at nestovers at this end of the nest
WHOA---MOVIN'JIM!!----Wasn't SHE ADORABLE????--
Parent has arrived at the back and chicks are peeping for lunch....I think just fluff was brought in..
Just took off the back
guess, OK only had 2 chicks out of the 4 eggs, see 2 really big chicks there
Big screaming now...
Bai is either wrestling with ZZ or giving her a bath...or both.
C(°?°)3
Jim
Looks like the female is taking a snooze after lunch at BWO. Either that, or she's getting ready to lay eggs. The nest doesn't look built up enough for that yet though.
C(°?°)3
Jim
Don't know what all the peepings been about!
ZZ is sitting and trying to chew some bamboo now...very cute.
C(°?°)3
Jim
I was just on the wood duck site and there are two females at the box. They have been spotted together a few times today, once incubating together. People are wondering if the 24 eggs are from 2 females or if the second female is just now laying eggs. I would like to see them together, there is just one there now.
Wonder if she is preparing or is laying on one....at BWO
been watching her all day, and she really has not moved very far from that position, and when male came in this a.m. he laid right next to her
Tiny is no dummy, knows where the food usually ends up and is waiting
I just have to tell you, my heart cannot take these wing flapping episodes in the wind!
WOW---I think the natives are getting restless!!!---Been trying to study my lesson for tomorrow--but these WINGS FLAPPING FIGHTS are just too much!!--#1 is really large----Too funny to watch!!
BWO just standing for a moment..
Couldn't tell if I actually saw an egg or if it was her white featherly legs! lol
Eaglets are taking their Panda Nap!
I am headed out to p/u grt-grnd-dghtr for a few hours of play!
BBL
I have white featherly legs too when I let my winter fur grow! :)
Well, I am hearing wind and I am seeing a really big eaglet mouth open up but no noise from it!
And I do seem to recall being this nervous 2 years ago when they would get close to the edge. Heart falls every time!
Sharon, you are too funny. My sister in CA thinks that if you let the hair on your legs grow in the winter, it will keep you warmer. I rolled my eyes at her, if it is cold a little bit of hair isn't going to keep you any warmer. (like she needs to worry in CA)
I just got my L F back. Did the chicklets have an argument? They have all gone to separate corners.LOL
Deb, your sister sounds like a hoot! You'll have to get her to join us.
She is among the eye rollers at eagle sites, although she puts up with my pictures. She is a hoot, nothing like me, I am more quiet.
down, down,......guess that only works with dogs
no egg at BWO, osprey is up
still snowing in OREGON
eagle just got up at NBG, moved to the branch, probably trying to dry off
that was quick, she is back down in the nest now
First mowing of the year done. The first one is always the worst, cleaning up after winter. I miss my tree, but it sure makes mowing a lot easier. No more ducking under it, picking up branches, etc.
now aren't you glad you don't live in OREGON where it is still snowing, Deb?
there is another beautiful sunset in finland.
Osprey up in BWO, no egg that I see.
Yes, I am. Our winter was long enough, I can't imagine it still going on.
The snow is even melting in Alaska, you can see some of Denali today.
Talkeetna, Alaska
I lost my live feed.
Good afternoon Mits, Suzanne, Sharon, Norma, Dave, Glo, Wanda, Paula, Merina, Deb, Ceil, Jo, Geula, Jim, Sandra, Carol, and Watchers ( :
Thanks for No Egg BWO nest confirmation! She was up so quickly and right back down -
Play time now - Just checking in -
BBL
Hi, Dana, how is your back/neck today?
Hi to you too Glo I think I left you out. Didn't mean too...So if I left someone else out Good Afternoon to you.
I see LF is down :( I did get to see it for about 20 minutes. Tiny #3 was sitting up ( :
I knew it was going to go down, it was starting to act like a 5 second refresh...so I re-booted it and it didn't look like it wanted to come up, but it did....and now it is down:(
I will e-mail Steve.
hey Dana, just looked up in Conn. and the osprey has some rolled up paper next to her
Thanks Mits I'll have to check the CT cam out.
well off to store, while cam is down...bbl
Hee hee Mits that paper has some "blue" on it lmbo
Libby Dam egg should be hatching soon, egg was seen on March 19th.
Trying to catch up on comments.
Wow I kept reading about OR nest. So I just brought it up....eeekkkkk eagle parent is really dug deep down in. Wow the amount of snow around it...omgoodness
Prayers for that nest ~j~ ~j~ some angels too
I got a quick look at the Libby nest, and am pretty sure there are still two eggs there.
One time at CT Osprey I counted 4 eggs next time I counted 3 eggs. I try again later.
Thanks!
Merina
Mr. Saunders, who was Andrew's high school band director and retired when Andrew graduated, is now the head of recycling in Bluefield!
Trouble, my live feed is down too and I have not been able to see the still cam for about 3 weeks or more. By the way, I qualify for that same nickname myself. I am the baby in the family and always got away with a lot! Never did burn down a chicken house though that I know of! :)
This is one of the Finland sites, there aren't any eggs there yet, but the osprey have been around quite a bit. I will get the other one:
finland
Back from the store......Dana, lmbo too, did not want to spoil the surprise for you when you went to Conn. site
Here is the other one, I forgot to say it is night now, so everything is dark. The osprey are just coming to this nest, I think they have been spotted a few times.
