Paula, I researched fish in the Potomac and found two that are long and skinny. One was called a snakehead and the other was really gross. I have to go find out the name again.
Lampreys are the gross ones. Just thinking about them is disgusting. I can't imagine seeing one.
I just noticed eels were on the list, too. Guess it could be anything. Oh well, I learned new things by looking.

Wow, good morning, world. Made it to Friday, but it's raining, and foggy in spots. 39° in PA, 41° here in Va. Our Belle is absolutely soaked, as is parent in BW, both on babies.
The Golden is IN the house!! What a beautiful sight first thing in the morning! Looks like wind blowing over there, but not sure pic is updating. Time will tell. All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!

BW is doing some serious tenting! Belle is just sleeping, has wings out just a little bit.
Morning, Suzanne-TGIF- I can't see the nest this morning:( live feed is down and I am no longer able to open the 30 sec. cam page.
Morning, Megan. Bummer on the cams! Live feed is down a lot lately, but at least the 3 minute cam is working. Don't know why you can't get into it. Not missing much, poor Belle was tenting a little, so she's still getting rain. She's awake now, has head up, but still on the kids. BW parent still tenting too, has head up and feathers looked soaked. One of the kids is half way out from uner her. Belle is just sorta sitting there. oh, no, head went back under wings, she's going back to sleep. Can't see the chicks there.
Belle's awake again, got the glowing eyes going on. Still laying there, tho.
BWE eagle really does look soaked. I have no idea what is up that so many of us can't open any FWS sites, its weird.
I know, it is very wierd. Can't think of why some can and some can't, unless those that can't have been blocked at the server. I absolutely cannot think of another reason one can open the site and another one can't. I also can't imagine FWS blocking any momster! That would make no sense whatsoever!
You're not missing anything yet, Belle sticks her head up every once in a while, but then back down it goes. She's still sleeping. She's soaked too, but she doesn't look quite as wet as the BW parent. That may just be the cam views, though.
Belle still sleeping. She wakes up and looks around, then back to sleep. BW parent is awake and looking around. Kids are sticking out from under her and sleeping. Golden left a while ago, and just saw a Sparrow land on corner of platform, so I'm guessing the golden's are not in the immediate area.

BW parent is awake, and both chicks are half out from under her.
Belle's going back to sleep.
Belle is standing up, chicks are exposed. Not raining here, tho, but don't know about there. BW parent left, they are alone. Golden hasn't yet returned to the osprey nest.
In and out today, mostly out. Will try to lurk and check cams. Later.

Belle is giving those big chicks breakfast. I swear they grow overnight! They are adorable. BW parent is back on chicks, but didn't see if they got breakfast also.
Yet? You didn't get any rain last night? We sure did, and drove in it all the way here. Not heavy, but steady.

Belle just left, chicks are alone. BW eagle calling out to something. Now standing on side of nest. There was an osprey in the BWO nest, but only for 1 refresh that I saw. BWE adult just left, chicks sitting together in nest. Looks like our chicks are snuggling together, they're so cute.

Was watching Belle during the night trying to keep those babies covered. Felt so bad for her but then I thought she is probably not sitting there thinking "whoa is me". Just doing her job!

Hello Sharon..feel your pain, can't open the 30 sec. cam either. I sent Steve an email telling him live feed is down.
Our 3 seem to be snuggling, they're still alone. BW kids are laying side by side, also alone. One of the eaglets is in Tesoro, but can't tell which, and adult in NBG nest, which looks totally wet! Ok, Tesoro eaglet just took off to the right, nest is MT. Hope you guys get the live feed soon.

Our parent has returned, and is now feeding the babies. they look like they're in middle, little, and oldest lineup. Big just got the first bite, little one is getting a bite now. The middle one is facing into the nest, away from feeding. Other 2 are facing Belle (I think) who is at the 1 o'clock posn feeding the kids.
