Its what I heard LYNN, a deal on the budget with a vote tomorrow in the House and the Senate. A committee to be set up for November to study the difficult issues of more reductions. The most cuts since the fifties if I understood it correctly. Unemployment Insurance will not be extended. The Debt Ceiling is raised for longer period of time. This is what our news is saying.

Lolly tell Jack just to close his

I have had a busy day and I am headed to the pillows.

oh, and I have to comment on....the BEAUTIFUL evening we had watching the stars in the very clear Terra Alta sky last night...even saw 4 shooters!

Oh, I think Judie's voice is great! And Lori's too...it sounds wonderful on the radio...mine sucks! But how many people like the sound of their own voice...not many!!

Lynn, can you send me Linda's address, please. Thank you.

Judie, neat that the interview brought a phone call from a former student!

Oh Lynn, I've seen that bald eagle video...pretty cool, isn't it!

hedgie said...

Lolly, did you see the message for Jack about what they are looking for on the MRI?

Loretta, I think your voice sounds fine!! Not childish to my ears!

Judie, your meatballs sound yummy, but WOW----must have taken hours to make so many!

Paula, glad you could detour around the wreck okay and get home at a decent hour.

Lolly, so glad to hear that the children are all safe AND that the parents are locked up.

Good night one and all. Can't wait for Lynne, Andy, Wanda or our JoEllen! Up early again tomorrow---painters are due back. And it's going to be another hot one.
Prayers for all, but especially for Linda and her family. RIP, Billy.

Refresh----and there's Jo and Lynne! Hi and bye, busy gals!

Yes, Hoda, that's pretty much what they said on the news....MTBR for sure.

Bye again!

Lynne, I love seeing the shooting stars. Usually see a couple at the beach!

So sorry that Linda's son was the one to find her brother.

paula eagleholic said...

Yup, heard about the budget deal, too.

Hi, Everyone,
Dropping in to say hello and goodnight.

Linda, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your brother Billy--especially on his own Birthday. And very sorry that it was your son that found him. Prayers for you, your family, your son, and Billy's friends.
Wishing God's blessings for you all!
(((HUGS))) too!

Prayers for Jack for his MRI tomorrow.
Hoping for good news on the results.

So upset to hear of the kids left in a hot car. How can people possibly convince themselves that it's OK to do such a thing?!

So sorry, too, to hear that a little child drowned in a bucket. Oh, this has been an awful day!

Don't even get me started about June the bear! At this point,I think an eye for an eye would be appropriate, if they are able to find the person responsible for that! It's surely been a trying day today. I am very glad to read that June is caring for her cubs, and is on antibiotics. Hope she will be OK.

Hoda said...

I will say Good Night and God's Blessings to all.

I'm sorry to say that I was so soundly asleep this morning that I slept right through the alarm I had set, and so I missed Lori's interview of Darth and Judie. Doggone it! I really wanted to hear that, too! I must say, I like that station, and I'm glad I can get it on the 'puter!

Hey, we actually got a bit of rain this morning, due to Monsoonal weather conditions here. (A tropical storm in Baja Calif. or something like that, I guess.) Even tonight, it's still humid as all get-out. We were especially bummed, since the dog park is closed when it rains. We took Emma on a walk instead, but it's just not the same.

Hubby & I went and saw "Cowboys and Aliens" today. It was good! The aliens are particularly ugly and disgusting, for sure. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford are most definitely NOT ugly and disgusting!

Ms Bookworm said...

Need to get some sleep, so saying prayers for everyone, especially Linda and family. Making sure the porch light is on. Enabling both security systems. Sleep tight, everyone. God bless, and goodnight!
Love all of you! :o]

Good Morning Eagle Family!

The best family in the whole world as Linda will know even better what a healing and special place this is during her days ahead.

After having seen my entire family so much lately I realize how easy it is for people to think their family members will always be here. Not all families are as wonderful as this one so we don't spend as much time talking with them as we do with those we choose to make our family.

LINDA, we don't choose our family, but I hope you have great memories of Billy and you together. You reminded me of me when you said that you would be the peacemaker once you got to Florida. I'm the peacemaker, negotiator, and all those things in my family, too. They will need you now and you will all be in my heart and prayers during this tough time. I'm so sorry.

MARGY, someone said you got a new camera, I must have missed reading that, and I don't want to start a rumor, but... what kind of camera did you get?
I bet you're so excited to get out there and click away at all the wildflowers, especially in this butterfly season!

Boy, I'm running late this morning!

LORETTA, there are a few people on the blog that I know listen to
you-know-what regularly.
It excites me to hear it because I feel like you're an even closer friend and it adds to the picture I have in my head of people I am talking to.
Thanks for letting me know! And I'm glad you know me as me, not for what my job is! Now, let's get a tour together and see some wildlife in Patuxant! ♥

Ah, gotta run. Quick: MEMA JO, you have the cutest cats in the world. I love your cat avatars! Hugs for Marvin!

KAY, I miss you and hope you're surviving Ohio weather.
Been miserable hot here.
A big morning hug for you.
I hope you get to sleep in this morning!
Really.

There's a budget deal, though not approved yet and I'd like to write some insightful stories about the process, which is not over yet, so I better his the road, Jacks...

Speaking of JACK, hello LOLLY (ok who didn't hear Louis Armstrong Hello Dolly there?).
Please keep us up to date on what you learn from Jack's MRI. Are you going with him?

Leaving now... fastest shower in the world this morning!

Hi DANA MO! I know you want to do those appointments first thing in the morning so you can have your coffee and breakfast. I have to take the day off when I need to get labs, because I couldn't handle waiting until noon for a cup of coffee!
Hope all turns out well for you and there's nothing serious.

Lori O. said...

JUDYE!!! Good Morning JudyE!
I've missed you. Seems like we're always online on opposite sides of the clock these day. I hope you had a good weekend and are enjoying your new camera!

I have three black noses pushing my arms off the computer. I guess they want some lovin'

Lori O. said...

Glad you're back DANA MO - I hope it wasn't painful. Sometimes you get a great draw, sometimes not so good. LYNN will know - does a good stick leave a bruise?

DANAMO, I don't know but I'm thinking 3 labs on the ground pushing your hands around is not quite as bad as 3 cats either sitting on the keyboard or smashing their face all over it trying to get you to scratch their ears!

DanaMo said...

LOL, Lori! Well Boomers aim seems to always be under my left breast! It's really kinda funny because he does it every morning! They've all gone to their spot on the floor now.

Not too painful. She drew like 3 or 4 tubes! I try not to watch. She did a good job, I've already taken the cotton off.

GOOD MORNING!!!

Have been up a while trying to catch up. Can't believe I"m waiting for Mr. Early to get up.

It's been days since I could use the desktop 'puter and this netbook needed chargin', so here I am. Aren't you lucky?!

We have to take our kitties to the vet's this morning and I have to plan how to catch them and put them in carriers. They can be elusive.

Linda, so sorry for your sudden lose. Prayers for you and your family.

Jack, good luck today. MRIs are 'as easy as pie.' You don't have to do anything but lay still; they do all the work. Just be sure to use those earphones and choose good music.

Lori, Judie & Darth, I forgot about the interview. Sorry I missed it but with computer problems, I probably wouldn't have been able to hear it anyway.

Gotta go and get breakfast before the "hunt for cats."

Have go good day in spite of the weather.

God bless

DanaMo said...

Nana-cats are so funny. I think they know when they have vet appointments and they hide. Black labs can't exactly hide and mine love to run out to the car. Poor Frisbee though, he does not like the vet so he's a little disappointed when that's where the car ride ends up!

DanaMo said...

Good luck to Jack for that MRI. I had mine last week and it wasn't so bad.

Lori O. said...

DIANN - Good lucks with catching those cats. Don't let 'em see you getting the crates out or you will never get them!

Good morning, everyone.

Lolly, Jack will be just fine. The goal is to detect the problem and decide on the best solution. A few minutes in a tube is a minor inconvenience relative to pain and incapacitation.

Welcome back, Lori. Have a pleasant morning.

Ah, cat catching is not fun but sure wish I had some to catch or scratch their ears or push them off the keyboard. Enjoy!

Lynn, am wishing the house will be finished today. That would be very nice. Meatballs only took about 1/2 hour. Was watching a cooking program so time went quickly.

Shirley, glad Will was able to visit and grill ribs. Ribs on our menu tonight but grill has been broken for years so have learned to adapt with oven method.

Okay, off to get my coffee and newspaper. Have school work and some laundry after that.

hedgie said...

Lori, a good stick CAN leave a bruise! The best prevention is good hard pressure on the site the second the needle is removed---and keep it on for a few minutes. Elevating arm over the head while keeping pressure helps, too!
BTW---did I ever tell you that my youngest is the BEST sticker there is?? She doesn't do it as much as she did before she became a lab tech, but still has to do some phlebotomy depending on the shift she works.

Good morning,

Thinking of Linda and her family this morning.

Also thinking of Jack and his MRI this morning. I hope all goes well there.

Forgot to get car inspected this past week. Kathryn volunteered to take it to work and get it done for me. Just hope she made it without getting stopped by the cops. Also hoping that I do not need expensive repairs.

stronghunter said...

Judie, the ribs were a gift from one of the customers at Kathyrn's shop, and he insisted that they had to be heated up on the grill, even though they were already cooked.

They were delicious. Kathryn took some to work for lunch today and will have to heat them up in the microwave--shh, don't tell anyone.

We had lots of ribs. Sent some home with Will. I had also bought lots of corn and sent some with of that with Will, too.

magpie said...

Oh Ladies, please come over to the New Thread and repeat the interesting things you have already posted

Good Morning ☺

stronghunter said...

Going to check FB to see if there is a message from Kathryn about my car. Kind of wondering if I will need new tires.

Speaking of FB, I just saw that in Missouri, it is illegal for teachers to friend their students on FB or any other social media. Interesting. I have friends who conduct lots of discussions and activities with their students via Facebook.

I told my students that I would not friend them, but that was really because I didn't want to mix student activities with all of the things I did with my personal friends and family--just wanted to keep those two parts of my life separate. I did friend one former student this past year.

However, I can see potential for good activities and discussions between teachers and students on social media.
