Best wishes, Lolly....to Jack, and you, for the MRI
One day at a time, wish we could all come to Texas and bring some lovin' massages to Jack's sore and aching parts, and any you might have also ! (( HUGS ♥ ))
PA NANA Diann...No, I was not happy you could not get on and chatter with us... hope the computer situations clear up.....I am so happy with my Dinosaur lately, but I am not pushing him to his limits too much.
You and me, we got to do our late night buzzin' one of these days again !
Morning GLori : You are a whip! I totally love your posts, you really seem to jump out of bed with a 100% jolt!
DANA MO, hope the bloodwork comes back okay, had to do that fasting a few weeks ago, I could not WAIT for that first cup of coffee, set it to brew (at work) when I had to go for mine... xoxox ♥
JudyE Your posts, your words...you are very kind and give us all kinds of lovin' and good information, Thank You ! Hope work goes FAST, and free time goes SLOW !
Lori, a good stick CAN leave a bruise! The best prevention is good hard pressure on the site the second the needle is removed---and keep it on for a few minutes. Elevating arm over the head while keeping pressure helps, too! BTW---did I ever tell you that my youngest is the BEST sticker there is?? She doesn't do it as much as she did before she became a lab tech, but still has to do some phlebotomy depending on the shift she works.
Thanks for the reminder Lori! No, not a new camera, but DanaWV had asked me what kind of camera I had, got it in February 2009 with part of my tax refund, when I finally realized I had to go Digital It is Canon Powershot A2000 IS with 10 megapixels and 6X zoom, it has served me very well, but ain't got nothin' like that HUGE ZOOM LENS that you had on nest visit 2009
Thank you Steve for the new thread and Margie for the y'all come on over.
Linda, we are still with you. Keep in mind that sometimes people lash out when they feel angry and they have no control over events. We are here for you.
Lolly, Jack will be just fine. Remind him to focus on the goal -- to detect the problem and decide on the best solution. A few minutes in a tube is a minor inconvenience relative to pain and incapacitation.
Welcome back, Lori. Have a pleasant morning.
Ah, cat catching is not fun but sure wish I had some to catch or scratch their ears or push them off the keyboard. Enjoy!
Lynn, am wishing the house will be finished today. That would be very nice. Meatballs only took about 1/2 hour. Was watching a cooking program so time went quickly.
Shirley, glad Will was able to visit and grill ribs. Ribs on our menu tonight but grill has been broken for years so have learned to adapt with oven method.
Okay, off to get my coffee and newspaper. Have school work and some laundry after that.
Judie, you must be a whiz in th ekitchen if you can mix up and roll up 3 1/2 doz. meatballs in 30 minutes!! Hmmm....I think I would be pusing Darth to Lowe's for a new grill! I can't live with out a grill!
No, they won't finish house today---in my dreams! Said they would probably get two sides stained/treated. That, of course, leaves 3....and then re-painting the fascia all the way around. Hope they also do the window frames since they messed them up---and hope he has brown paint for the downspouts because they got stripped---ugh!
My beloved cardinal flower was NOT blooming yet at Swinging Bridge Friday, but I am hoping THIS WEEK I got spoiled last year, it came out earlier than usual ! Love to going to the old haunts to see when stuff comes up
Lori like others, I have listened to WASH-FM for a long time, but not recently until NOW Back in the late 70's early 80's - all the time !! It comes in sooooo good on the computer
LYNN - it's not "hope they re-do the window frames"... it's "I have to talk to them about when they are going to re-do the window frames they messed up...."
Lori Hope Kate is doing well... and her Mom, and everyone else that are a part of your families
I have resolved....to stay in better touch with my family, snail mail ! And some phone calls from time to time... Connecticut, Massachusetts, two in Virginia, two in Maryland, stepdaughter in Florida, and me here in West Virginny
Bringing over from old thread. I thought I was on the new thread when I started posting.
Good morning,
Thinking of Linda and her family this morning.
Also thinking of Jack and his MRI this morning. I hope all goes well there.
Forgot to get car inspected this past week. Kathryn volunteered to take it to work and get it done for me. Just hope she made it without getting stopped by the cops. Also hoping that I do not need expensive repairs.

stronghunter said... Judie, the ribs were a gift from one of the customers at Kathyrn's shop, and he insisted that they had to be heated up on the grill, even though they were already cooked.
They were delicious. Kathryn took some to work for lunch today and will have to heat them up in the microwave--shh, don't tell anyone.
We had lots of ribs. Sent some home with Will. I had also bought lots of corn and sent some with of that with Will, too.
stronghunter said... Going to check FB to see if there is a message from Kathryn about my car. Kind of wondering if I will need new tires.
Speaking of FB, I just saw that in Missouri, it is illegal for teachers to friend their students on FB or any other social media. Interesting. I have friends who conduct lots of discussions and activities with their students via Facebook.
I told my students that I would not friend them, but that was really because I didn't want to mix student activities with all of the things I did with my personal friends and family--just wanted to keep those two parts of my life separate. I did friend one former student this past year.
However, I can see potential for good activities and discussions between teachers and students on social media.
Thanks Lori, she is a sweetie, age 35, very wise...has been in lots of trouble over the years. Her name is Jane Kurtz...(last name not mentioned) but we call her Kurtz, it is a family name sometimes I call her Baby Alligator ☺ She is the one that quoted to me: Show our Problems how BIG our God is I think she learned that "in the program" Someday....she and her precious son James, will have their time together
I'm sure you've already assumed your peacekeeper role and the entire family is doing better with you there...or will be much better when you arrive. I know when Perry died I just asked God to fill me with grace. It felt right. Prayers continue for you and your family, and Billy's family.
You are the most important thing to all of us right now and I hope you know we are all here for you and someone is on the blog just about 24/7 if you need a lift.
Please let us know where the funeral will be when you get word. Some places stream services over the internet...maybe we can be there with you.
Now would you take a second and think of the funniest thing you and Billy ever did together?
PS Lynn...hope all the Roost things come together for your, pronto! Crack the Whip!
and Loretta: Thank you for the nice things you say about my outdoor pictures, and glad you saw the Spicebush! Thank you for visiting my pictures Your outdoor pictures...rock !
MARGY, that explains a lot. She is James' Mom. Well, that makes you even more amazing that I already knew you were. Sorry, that I am just know connecting all the dots. You are awesome!
No, sorry that I am missing Rod Stewart! Liesl is not happy with all the noise outside, so I have things quiet in here. I am getting aheadache...I foresee putting her in the crate in the basement soon. Has anyone gotten Rod's latest album?? "Fly Me to the Moon"---need to check to see if it's available on iTunes.
Margy, I had wondered where the name Kurtz came from!! THink I asked once, but you must have missed it! We STILL don't know the story of Raschida's name, DanaWV!
Shirley, anytime you forget the inspection, just call and make an "appointment"---then if stopped, cop will usually not cite you when they verify apptmt.! Of course, since Kat would be making the apptmt., she should be in the clear--cop might want to know how to get pick-up service, LOL!!!! Got mine done two weeks early for a change----been a long time since I let it lapse---way back when we were so busy that we were wroking 6 and 7 days a week!
Shirley, the best way for teachers to FB with students would be to have a seperate account with an academic-type name. But I can understand systems that ban it all together.....probably wise. As were you! Of course, once retired, it's cool to keep in touch with some like Lolly has.
Okay T-Bird... The dishes, well, sometimes it is just good to leave them til later. Like making the bed, which I am pretty OCD about, but today is left unmade until later, when I would need to pile stuff on it !! Love you (( hugs ♥ ))
LOL, Thelma----add a dishwasher to the wish list!!! I'm sure Buddy WOULD do them for you....with his tongue! And then you'd have more work---you KNOW how slimy dog slobber is!!
One of my teacher friends is regularly communicating with her students on FB. She has almost 1,000 friends. It would be pretty hard--and stupid--for her to be doing anything inappropriate with an audience that large.
But that is something I do not have to worry about now, anyway.
Thanks for the Live Feed alert, Lynn....way to keep you eyes on things Ok, I won't make the bed - yet !
How're you doin' Handsome Jim ? do you remember a few years ago when Wanda was doing the Poop Shoot Facial Make-overs ?? When someone hit the hundred marks on blog posts ?? Yours was of a young lad with a water bottle, was one of my all-time favorites !
LORI, thanks for understanding my need for sleep. Really zzzonking out these days and getting the first good REM sleep and dreamy sleep I've had in months.
L♥ved your one woman act this morning !☺
Does the A_?__tron rating system take the on line audience into consideration when assessing your market share of the morning drive time slot ? Hope so !
Just picture Thelma and Buddy romping through a beautiful field of Bluebonnets ! Hence, Bluefield !
Well, this MAY be SOME justice---if it forces her to stay in FL!!
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A Florida judge has signed an order that could require Casey Anthony to serve a year of probation for fraudulent check writing.
An assistant in Judge Stan Strickland's office said the judge signed an amended court order Monday.
Anthony left prison last month after a jury acquitted her of murdering her 2-year-old daughter. She was convicted of lying to detectives but was released from jail because of time served. She then disappeared from public view.
Strickland sentenced Anthony in January 2010 to a year of probation for the fraudulent checks.
The state Department of Corrections interpreted Strickland's sentence so that Anthony could serve the probation while she was in jail awaiting her murder trial, but the judge says he intended the probation to be served after her release.
LYNN, an Osprey nest in the mid-Ohio valley ! Wow !
Can't you just see the headline now, "Parent Arrested For Giving Wine to Toddler", "But, I'm just protecting him against sunburn", she insisted.
Who knew ? My kids, as teens, would love to have had the facts on bed making only encourageing dust mites ! "Mama, why make beds ? We're just going to get back in them later !"
SHIRLEY, hurray for sweet Kathryn ! Do they check tires at the inspection stations as well as emissions ? OH doesn't have the tests and AZ only tested in Tucson and Phoenix, so it's been years since I've been through that routine.
JUDYE, just about time for you to show up for lunch and you'll be delighted to find the cam back up ! Your posts and sharing of videos and links show great love and compassion. We all have our own unique way with words and that makes this blog all the more interesting. You take a back seat to no one when it comes to expressing yourself !♥♥♥
Jim, Wanda would take a cute picture that in some way represented us or our avatars, or just a cute picture! When you got the Poop Shoot Facial make-over that time, Wanda redesigned you as a young lad in shorts and tee, looking outward, with a water bottle in your hand... It was adorable! They are way back in the history of things no longer available on her blog, but it is always in my memory, and you were one of the first to get a make-over ☺ In fact, you might not have ever seen it, perhaps ?? She used to put them on Wanda's Wishes I think.
LYNN, hurray for Judge Strickland ! O.J. was eventually "hoisted on his own petard" and is where he should have been all these years. May Ms. Anthony enjoy the same fate !
OK, my stress level is mounting fast. Who's got some Valium? Xanax, maybe??
Friday, the "new" used car started idling very high again. They just replaced the dang part that was supposed to fix that on Thursday. The "check engine" light came on also, but Steve tightened the gas cap and it went off.
This morning, the car wouldn't start right away, and made some sort of screeching sound, like a belt is loose. It idles very high when the AC is OFF. ?? It wouldn't stay running at first. Now, mind you, we were on our way with the Saturn to find out why the windsheild wiper is flopping around. OH, the LINKAGE is broken. We also need brakes, and there is some sort of clunking sound from the front passenger side. So we left the car there so they could check it out and do an estimate (although he did say right off the bat that the LABOR ALONE for the linkage for the wipers will be $178). One the way back home, the "new" car conked out while idling, and the check engine light came back on.
Kay, they check tires, brakes, bulbs, and all kinds of things. I think I am still outside the area where they check emissions. That happens in the Washington, DC, area.
Linda prayers are being said for you, your family, and Billy's wife and his friends. Dear Sweet Lady just know that "arms are around you and will carry you through". (((((((HUGS and LOVE))))))))
So, Steve has taken the Mazda back to the dealer (unannounced visit!) and they have supposedly found the problem. The car has a 90 day warranty, but I have to tell you, this is costing him a day of side work pay again, as it did on Friday when we had to spend all that time waiting for it to be ready to pick up, and the dealer is 35 miles from here which is really not terribly convenient. I'd not be so upset if we had had the car more than 80 miles worth of driving it!
LYNNE, Oh, no ! Did you take the "new" car to your MIL's this past weekend ? Here's hoping it's problems actually turn out to be few and minor. What a bummer.
KAY, of course, I want you to sleep. I'm the biggest fan of sleep around and know what a huge difference sleep can have on just about everything. What's on your agenda today?
LYNN, I don't think I've told you how adorable your avatar is...I'm a big fan of Marvin Lennox now that JO has been using him. Can't have too many animal avatars on this blog!
MARGY, I think you should bottle and sell your enthusiasm! I'll take a case, please.
LYNNE, I see you could not have taken the Mazda over the weekend since you've only put 80 miles on it. So happy to hear there is a 90 day warranty and hope you'll take it back to the dealer as often as necessary before that 90 days is up. The hassle and the lost work is a shame, however.
LORI, I have declared myself a Canadian for the day and will do nothing but fun things today. Putering, puzzling, reading. I'd have to drench myself in wine were I to decide on sunbathing, so that's out. Hey, we're all Irish on St. Paddy's day so why can't we all be Canadian on their Civic Holiday ?
Finally KAY, you should treat yourself to a nap today.
LYNNE2, UGH! I'm so mad at whoever sold you that car. Make them make it right, and if you get a really bad feeling in your gut...listen to it and return it. This could be just the beginning of nightmares to come. No Xanax, sorry. LOL ((((BIG HUG)))
Off for my nap! BBL.
Love you all. I hope LINDA checks in soon so we know she's okay... Wonder if Jack will get results of MRI today?
I think JACK's MRI appt. is this afternoon as LOLLY said he'd have the morning to get some questions answered. Given the time difference it will be a while before we'll hear how he did. I've never had an MRI, are the results known immediately ?
Kay, the MRI techs/radiologists can probably tell immediately what the problem is, but they have to report to the DR and are not allowed to tell the patient anything. Hopefully that'll all get done quickly!
well I can see we have the old cam back stopped at 14:44 I wonder why it stops now and there for awhile I didn't it went on and on like the energizer bunny LOL OK I need to go back to work Lots of Liquor price changes to do when I get back HAGD BBL
Oops I changed the ice cream truck to the earth I love the roses the best of all the melting ones I found and you thought I left for work HA now I am--- Later
Good morning! (Still morning here!) Have been outside water pots, repairing armadillo, mole and cicada killer damage. Grrrrr!
Should have drenched myself in wine. Does drinking it work? Surely it would!!!
Lynn and Margy...had to laugh at your comments. I needed the laugh. Jack is REALLY up tight! I can not talk to him about it. Nothing I say will make him relax about the process. He got angry with me when I tried. This is not like him. He has talked with the doctors office and he is getting a tranquilizer for the MRI. He thinks he might panic. I think he already has!
His MRI is this afternoon, 5 our time, 6 your time. Have to be there by 4:30.
Lynn, I probably have Linda's address but will you please email it to me. Thinking of Linda this morning and lifting her in prayer.
Lynne maybe Steve should tell the car salesmen people that his lovely wife has some lovely friends with a whole bunch of Eagle Canes !!!!! And we can GPS where the dealership is
So sorry this turned out the way it did !!! WOOF, DOUBLE WOOF, AND TRIPLE WOOF!
Judy Love the melting earth...guess that is global warming eh? and totally love the Cool Avatar Lynne and the yellow yellow yellow Hawaiian Hibiscus. Kay
just officially made an appointment to switch from frontier to Comcast for my internet
next week-end...crossing my fingers and must break the news to the Dinosaur, he might be very happy, Comcast says this will add some memory to my computer ha ha, I could use some more memory also
I'd like Linda's snail mail too Lynn, to my gmail addy please and thank you!
I'm leaving the snow on til it cools off a bit! Boy, I have to say, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these Terra Alta summer days and nights!
Oh Lolly....poor you! MRIs are so easy!! Sure wish Jack wasn't so uptight about it. Maybe (and I don't really condone this sort of behavior. LOL!) he should shoot an armadillo to help ease the stress?
Thanks Steve for the new thread. Hoping you find a cool spot to work.
Hoda since today is Civic Holiday in Canada. I hope you don't have to work. I can understand if you work for someone and they say you have to come to work....then after work. Then HAVE SOME FUN AND REST!!!
Lori I bet it felt so good to your Mother for her to have her hair washed. So glad you good be there again for her. Tell her I am still keeping her in my prayers.
Loretta praying all is well and these are just some things you wanted to take care of and nothing serious.
Margy I always love getting to see your pictures. Seen them last night and commented.
Thanks Margy for telling us a little more about the program "Pilots N Paws". I think that is really NEAT in operation since 2008!! We are just finding out about it because you took that wonderful young James that me and Ed would meet at Martin's. Thanks for posting.
Lynne2 Oh that sounds so beautiful. Watching the sky and it being so clear that you was even able to see 4 shooters. That must have been a thrill.
People just are awlful sometimes ...leaving a 1 yr. old out of sight for even a second grrr and a bee bee gun/rifle shooting June in the eye. Thank God they found her and are taking care of her but so sad she will lose that eye. Then children being left in a car. So glad people began breaking the windows. There are no good reason's for any of this. People know better...take the kids inside with you!!! They should get a punishment and I'm sorry civic is NOT enough. I know they are probably upset about their loss of having them taken away and put into foster care. I'm sure somehow they will eventually get them back.
DanaMoI pray too those labs come back with good results.
Jack Is in my prayers as I laid my head down last night I thought. Maybe all his worry is not about having the MRI done. He is worried about what will the results be. Prayers for good results just something mild that can easily be taken care of.
DiannGood to see you in. Oh my having to catch kittins...hoping things go well at the vets.
Well contragulations in the Ohio Valley for the Osprey nest and the chick they now have. Good job guys!!! Thanks for posting Hedgie.
Kay that is a beautiful Hibiscus. I just love my Hibiscus plant. You all seen it in the pictures of Me Leaving for Colorado. I like things you don't have to prune. The flowers just drop off when dead and new life and beauty come on again. Same way with the Rose of Sharon trees. Might have to cut them back so they don't get too tall later.
Hedgie I pray that soon the house will be finished. So all that mess will be over and you can rest from within yourself.
I have had my cereal, my juice and my coffee but for some reason I am tired. Going to go lay down awhile.
Thanks, Dana, I see your nice comments on my blog spots.... I enjoy sharing.... ☺
Couldn't take the day off today after so many in a row last week, finally ready to go out and mail things I have been working on...and put a BIG dent in the bank account. I prefer to Dent the Pillows !!
Love you folks, have a good day, please? Thanks ! xoxox ♥
LYNN I like the picture of the gull standing there with all the other gulls not thinking he is different and then all the people taking pictures. Thanks for the post.
LOL Lynne! Wish he would shoot an armadillo however with his neck hurting he has been hesitant to get up and go hunting. We do not condone this either, however.....!
Thanks, Margy!
I have had two MRIs and had no problem. Yes, it is not fun but close your eyes and go with it. No big deal! He sometimes sleeps with a sheet over his face. I can not do that!! Just told him I will take him out to eat afterwards! LOL
I really need to do a little around the house. Guess I will get busy with those chores and then run to the grossery store.
Holey Moley Lynn...will be waiting for the "rest of the story"
breathe, breathe, breathe...
okay will check other links later including Lynne's
and wanted to repeat: I appreciate ALL the nice comments and things that you fine pals say about my pictures.... THANK YOU ! Outside world, here I come, ready or not ! xoxo ♥
LYNN, OMG, so much for accurate flight tracking, but it would have torn you up to see the plane had landed in Cuba. Can't wait to hear about Christie and Shannon's take on the adventure.
A gray hooded gull in NY, amazing ! I can just hear those common seagulls ooohing and aaahing over her. "Hey, pretty Gull, love the dye job. Where'ja get it ?"
I should have started my reading on FB where I left off last night! Kids posted around midnight....they had been stuck in Cuba for 9 hrs.! No....can't call. Roaming charges on their cell phones too high! Christie didn't even take hers. Shannon can text 50 for free....but he didn't! All I can do is email----and they apparently haven't checked it today!
I'll talk to you all later...headed off to yoga and then when I come back I must get on with my chores....I successfully did nothing all morning long...BIG SMILE...BBL
Lynn, I was reading about your hummer feeder woes with the ants and wasps. I have an "ant moat" on mine that I bought separately, and there are "bee guards" over the ports that came with it. Both work really well. The "guards" are designed to keep the bees and wasps from being able to reach the nectar which discourages them from hanging around, but the hummers can get there little beaks and tongues in to feed!
I have to say, it's been a blessing in Terra Alta weather wise....about 8-10 degrees cooler, far less humidity, a breeze, and one the sun goes down, it's just moments from the night time lows in the low 60s. Of course, the price one pays for the beautiful summer is the usually brutal winter....
Lynne2, the car situation is really unacceptable. Maybe rethink and return, if possible? You and Steve don't need something that will eat up $.
Kay, congratulations! Honorary Candandian Citizen for the day. I do hope you have on your tiara.
Lynn, don't know about Christie and Shannon but, truthfully, I would have been terrified I might not be allowed to leave. Sure hope you hear from them very very soon.
Hoda, have a nice yoga session.
Saw a lovely Tiger Swallowtail that visited each and every Lantana flower today. Told it to invite all friends and family next time.
Remember why I put the smile sun on as my avatar....because you were so tired of the snow! Love all the snow avatars! But, Judie, you can not complain about the heat. We are on our 31st day in a row over 100. 103.5 on my thermometer right now. And, no end in sight...going UP the rest of the week. Groan..........!!
Lynn, so frustrating about the kids in Cuba. Told Jack and he had read about it on the news. Please keep us updated!
Thanks for all kind thoughts about C&S. Hope they are basking on the beach with drinks in hand and realizing how lucky they are in all regards. Problem could have been much worse with the plane, so there's blessings in the travel travail! But do wish I could hear her voice!
Lynne, commented on your pics---love them all!!! Everything looks so clear there----no haze or smog!
Bill came and replaced the sensor light on the garage. I almost ruined it. He told me to close the garage door and then come in and kill the power....unfortunately, I didn't realize that the door would catch the part he had fed inside----it was sparking when the wires hit the door! But it didn't blow the breaker, and did not harm the new light....WHEW!!!! Sure glad he is an electrician among all his other areas of expertise!
By the time all was said and done and I made the final trip back inside, I was dripping......93° and extremely humid---still!
Feeling very sorry for firefighters.....big, fully involved barn fire just over in the county next to me....our H'ville crew called out to assist. Would hope that no animals were in there in this heat.......
Went to Home Depot to get spray for the poison ivy and other brush growing in the back of my yard. The woman there said that I cannot use the spray until the temperature is under 80 degrees or I will kill the tree I want to have in my yard.
She said she wishes I had seen her last winter. Of course, last winter, there was no poison ivy growing back there.
I think I might just put the fence in front of the brush and mess and forget the tree. I so want to get the job done, and I do not want to wait any longer. I really do not want to use poison strong enough to kill a tree, though. All of the growth hides the view of the houses behind me, and I think that is where the bunnies live.
She suggested that I bring in a goat to eat the poison ivy. And that it is possible to rent a goat for that purpose. But it is not just poison ivy. It is a lot of other stuff.
we can't take the car back, I don't think. And "lemon" law in MD doesn't cover used cars. If we feel the dealer has misrepresented the car, we can contact a lawyer and could have a case under the Unfair Trade Practice Act. But that means hiring a lawyer.....
Failure to disclose would have to be proven. And since the car is over 6 years old, and over 60k miles, there is the assumption that it's sold "as is". We chose a dealer over a private buyer for the warranty which is for 90 days. And the car passed Md State Inspection.
In all honesty, I think they are trying to make it right, and didn't hide any problems from us intentionally. THere is always a risk to buying a used car.
oh by the way Dana WV, yes, it was very awesome watching the sky Saturday night! I was looking through the binos, too.
FYI...Persiedes Meteor Shower to peak on the 13/14 of this month. Usually a good one, but full moon this year.
From earthsky- the Perseids rise gradually to a peak throughout August. EarthSky recommends watching in first 10 days of August to have moonless skies from midnight to dawn, the best time of night for watching meteors. You’ll have an entirely moon-free sky after midnight during August’s first week, as the meteors are beginning to build. You’ll have a window of darkness for a few hours before dawn on August 8, 9 and 10. Bright moonlight will drown all but the brightest meteors from view on August 11 and 12 – that is, the mornings of August 12 and 13 – the mornings for the Perseid meteor shower. But many report the thrill of seeing a bright meteor streaking along in the light of the moon. All in all, the first 10 days of August 2011 are a good time to look up! On the peak night themselves … enjoy the moon.
Lynne2 Love your avatar and I enjoyed your pictures on your blog. I left some comments. ( :
Margy I like your new avatar pretty!!
Hedgie-LynnI will be so so very very HAPPY when you hear from your daughter. I know you will be too. That way you will know they are out of Cuba. I don't think she willl have been excited about the detour :(
Kay pictures are on facebook.
The "rare gull at Coney Island" that was neat because you could see pictures of it and two small video's. Thanks Lynn-Hedgie for posting.
Good Afternoon!! Haven't been on here as I'm celebrating Canada (Do Nothing) Day!!!!!
Thoughts and prayers for Linda and Family. We are all with you!♥
Lolly, so sorry to hear of Jack's predicament. Too bad he can't have some wine!If you enjoy train rides, you can close your eyes in MRI tube and pretend you're going thru a neat tunnel! ☺ Lynne2, so sorry about the clunker car! I like the Eagle Canes up at arms! You should get a replacement.
Lynn, you mentuioned needle sticks & I just had blood work at endocrinologists. The first time I couldn't even see a pin prick & no druising at all! Hope I get her next time. I did do a few things around here--laundry, new hummer food, water plants. We've gotten a few ripe tomatoes from our 2 plants. They are "yellow pears", so it was hard to tell when they were ripe, turn yellow-orange & are ready to fall off when you touch them. We have a wren family in front little red barn house. Can't see the little twitters yet, but can hear them when food arrives.
Goats eat everything...even the bark on trees and therefore killing them. Do not rent a goat! roflmbo Hire an individual to do it...someone who needs work! Be sure to splash them with wine before they get in the sun to do the work!☺
YES, PAULA!!!!! REST,ICE, COMPRESSION and ELEVATION----RICE!!! Ace wrap for the compression, but include the heel in the wrapping: start at the toes and try to go up to the knee! WHAAT did you do?????
Got an email from Linda...they are heading to FL. She made it sound like they are driving...:( Funeral will be Thurs. Will give link to obit as soon as it's up.
Ok I'm adding my Sandman, Palm tree and snowman to the blog wishing for cooler weather Right now we got a storm somewhere I hear rumbling Gonna step out to find food Hope the rain stay away
LYNN, glad the house is lookin' good and that the sensor light change didn't result in a 911 call ! Yikes !
LYNNE, great pics of the intrepid Brother Cat ! To see him is to love him !:0 I do hope you're right about the dealership and their willingness to bring the car up to snuff. It's only good business to do so, of course.
SHIRLEY, I was about to suggest renting a female goat, tethering her to the tree to limit the grazing area and milking her each evening. Thinking she'd pay for herself within a few days. Then I read LOLLY's warning about the killing of the tree followed by the piece PAULA sent. Forget that ! Goat owners must be ecstatic ! Wish I had a herd of em' to rent out !
Well I am back and I continue to do nothing for do nothig day which is a holiday!!!LOL!!! Did not even have to pay for parking meters today. Drinking a cold lime drink with ice as it is still hot...78 degrees.
I think we have a confusion. Lynne and Steve have a cost of 1000$ repair not on the new car but on the Saturn which is their second car...am I right LYNNE?
PAULA I do hope your ankle heals fast...
LOLLY Prayers for Jack's appointment which is going on right now...
Prayers also for LINDA and family as she travels by car to Florida...Where does Linda live?
The Peaches are delicious...yum yum yum I bought some yesterday and they are perfect.
I too could not open the link about the eagle...did not connect!
Wishes that LYNN'S children are enjoying themselves on the beach... So glad that you are seeing progress on the house and that you like what you see LYNN.
OK, The task I have set for myself is to reconcile my cheque book after I pay my monthly bills...I will try to stay away from the blog long enough to do that...
LYNN, I do believe LINDA and Dennis are driving. That was the implication of something she said yesterday. Praying for traveling mercies. Will be interested in an on line link to services, etc..
I have confused everyone....HODA, you are right, the Saturn was just under a grand to fix. Windsheild wiper was flopping due to broken linkage, very expensive. If it had been the passenger side, I'd have waited. New front brakes and rotors. UGH. Then some other do hicky thing regarding the suspension was making the clunking sound. We knew when we sold the truck we'd be putting money into the Saturn, it's in really good shape with pretty low mileage.
Lynn, we got pummeled for about 10 minutes, then the sun came out....back to the MARYZON mode! Still dark clouds in the area west of us so maybe a bit more on the way.
Kay, I feel pretty good about the dealer of the Mazda. It's just very unnerving to have these issues right off the bat. Hopefully, the repairs that they need to do on Wednesday will be the end of problems for a while, at least!
Thanks, Lynn...got my foot caught on my desk drawer that I had pulled out...and twisted it trying not to fall...wasn't paying attention. Will go home and RICE it...thanks! It's more on the top and side of the foot below the ankle...
PAULA, I wish you'd stayed home today to show solidarity with Canada !LOL Hope you can just let Nick out the back door and don't have to try taking a walk. We♥U and don't like knowing you have a boo-boo !
WOW---just had a heck of a storm. Power was out for about 10 mins. Don't know HOW in the world it came back on so quickly----maybe just a limb on the wires somewhere that blew off. HIGH winds, torrectial rain and hail.....sun back out....thunder still right overhead. Whew! Sure hope it didn't wash off the stain they just put on!
Back again from weathering the 10 minute thunderstorm!!!We were in the wrong place. The sun was peeking from clouds up the hill toward W & all else was dark grey. Thought there would be a rainbow, but NO! Yes, Lolly, I am trying to provide more Momster typos!!! I'll never master this smaller keyboard!
Whomever has FB - Linda's brother has a page and there are appearing some very beautiful tributes to him. It is sad that there are the Happy Birthday comments and they quickly stop and the condolences and remembrances appear. He was truly a good man - Bill Cochran..♥
Bill just called to make sure all well here....he is at his dsaughter's near Jo's granddaughter's house.....a tree came down on her roof and burst out her skylight. Glass just missed hitting the kids. He's trying to cover the hole.

Happy Monday to you, and Thank you for the New Thread
Hope you have a good day and a good week
Wowser
Have WASH-FM on,
love to see that Lori and Loo pic on the home page !!!
Morning GLori :
You are a whip! I totally love your posts, you really seem to jump out of bed with a 100% jolt!
DANA MO, hope the bloodwork comes back okay, had to do that fasting a few weeks ago, I could not WAIT for that first cup of coffee, set it to brew (at work) when I had to go for mine...
xoxox ♥
JudyE
Your posts, your words...you are very kind and give us all kinds of lovin' and good information, Thank You !
Hope work goes FAST, and free time goes SLOW !
I got the whole slate to myself...so far....
Linda
Here are some morning Hugs and Loving for YOU: ((( HUGS ♥ ♥ ♥ )))
MARGY!
I've missed you! Did you get a new camera, because I read that and if you didn't I'm starting a rumor ... again!
Steve,
Thank you for the FRESH thread. At 444 posts you must have thought it overdone.
AND weird too that you put that thread on at 11:11.
Something you want to tell us, Steve? :)
Have you seen Belle and Truder around? We LOVE any reports you can offer.
Thanks again!
Argh---got lost! Thanks, MArgy.
For any who enjoy vino:
Wine prevents sunburn?
Thanks for the reminder Lori!
No, not a new camera, but DanaWV had asked me what kind of camera I had, got it in February 2009 with part of my tax refund, when I finally realized I had to go Digital
It is Canon Powershot A2000 IS with 10 megapixels and 6X zoom, it has served me very well, but ain't got nothin' like that HUGE ZOOM LENS that you had on nest visit 2009
Good Morning Peep T-Bird !!
Good morning, everyone.
BBL
Good Morning THELMA LOU!
How are you feeling today? You are so blessed living there in that Blueville, cool weather. (I know that's not it, but I know it starts with Blue).
Lori:
You would FALL OVER when and I say WHEN not IF
you get to Patuxent River Park...
We had such a great time in April 2009 on our Field Trip !
OH Rod Stewart....
nice !
ROFL!!!!! Margy, Lolly might not want all of our hands on Jack's parts!!!
My beloved cardinal flower was NOT blooming yet at Swinging Bridge Friday, but I am hoping THIS WEEK
I got spoiled last year, it came out earlier than usual !
Love to going to the old haunts to see when stuff comes up
MARGY, camera lenses are like houses, they can never be too big.
LYNN, thanks for the "stick" follow up. That is interesting! Tell your daughter if we ever have a Momster Blood Drive, we want her to do the sticking!
Shirley:
How many ribs were there ???
Sounds like enough to go around and around and around....
Sounds like a great time you had Sunday with family
Oh Shucks Lynn
Ya' Think ? ☺
Let's ask Jack...
☺
Then we could take care of Lolly !
LOL, Lori---BLUEFIELD!!!
Hi, T-bird. How is everything in the ice-box??? And how are you??!!
Still cam is being a pain....keeps going black and I have to refresh....
Lori
like others, I have listened to WASH-FM for a long time, but not recently until NOW
Back in the late 70's early 80's - all the time !!
It comes in sooooo good on the computer
I was relieved to see that Wanda, Jo, and Lynne and Andrea were on late last night or make that early morning...
gives our Momster Hearts comfort
LYNN - it's not "hope they re-do the window frames"... it's "I have to talk to them about when they are going to re-do the window frames they messed up...."
You can do it!
Lori
Hope Kate is doing well...
and her Mom, and everyone else that are a part of your families
I have resolved....to stay in better touch with my family, snail mail ! And some phone calls from time to time...
Connecticut, Massachusetts, two in Virginia, two in Maryland, stepdaughter in Florida, and me here in West Virginny
Oh Good Morning Judie ☺
MARGY you are nothing but the sweetest - hope your step daughter loves you to pieces!

Monday, August 01, 2011 8:51:00 AM
Well, let me try this:
Hello Buddy !
Tell T-Bird we are trying to get her back on here ! ☺
stronghunter said...

Thanks Lori,
she is a sweetie, age 35, very wise...has been in lots of trouble over the years.
Her name is Jane Kurtz...(last name not mentioned)
but we call her Kurtz, it is a family name
sometimes I call her Baby Alligator ☺
She is the one that quoted to me:
Show our Problems how BIG our God is
I think she learned that "in the program"
Someday....she and her precious son James, will have their time together
LINDA,
I'm sure you've already assumed your peacekeeper role and the entire family is doing better with you there...or will be much better when you arrive.
((Big Hugs))
It's a good feeling to be together here with each other....
I have a pretty long "to-do list" and need to start getting to some of that....
last day "off" - go back into the work tunnel Tuesday
Best wishes for a Razzle-Dazzle Day, Precious Pals
and Linda...
We have you surrounded with love, hugs and prayers, dear one
xoxo
♥ ttfn
PS
Lynn...hope all the Roost things come together for your, pronto!
Crack the Whip!
and Loretta:
Thank you for the nice things you say about my outdoor pictures, and glad you saw the Spicebush!
Thank you for visiting my pictures
Your outdoor pictures...rock !
OH wow
another Rod Stewart song!
Hedgie are you listening ??
Lori: If "Bridget" does not claim that $500 can I have it ?? ☺
MARGY, that explains a lot. She is James' Mom. Well, that makes you even more amazing that I already knew you were. Sorry, that I am just know connecting all the dots.
You are awesome!
How can I get my work done when I am dancing all around the room to the WASH-FM tunes ????
No, sorry that I am missing Rod Stewart! Liesl is not happy with all the noise outside, so I have things quiet in here. I am getting aheadache...I foresee putting her in the crate in the basement soon.
Has anyone gotten Rod's
latest album??
Super nice customer to give Kat all those ribs!! ANd already cooked, to boot! Love me some ribs!!!
Magpie-You are so right. Buddy was wondering why I hadn't gotten up yet. : )
Well,
T-Bird.....
I hope he lolls around in the morning late sometimes ☺
Shirley, the best way for teachers to FB with students would be to have a seperate account with an academic-type name. But I can understand systems that ban it all together.....probably wise. As were you! Of course, once retired, it's cool to keep in touch with some like Lolly has.
Good Morning all....Prayers continuing for Linda and family.
I wish Buddy could do the dishes. They are calling to be cleaned but I'm definitely no feeling it. : )
I'll catch you all on the flip side. Make a great day.
Okay T-Bird...
The dishes, well, sometimes it is just good to leave them til later.
Like making the bed, which I am pretty OCD about, but today is left unmade until later, when I would need to pile stuff on it !!
Love you (( hugs ♥ ))
Hello Lynne2!
T-Bird:
Project for you today:
Find a way to shorten the distance between Bluefield and the Eastern Panhandle ! Got It? Go !
***********************
GOOD MONDAY MORN,
EVERYBODY.
***********************
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Cam is BACK up!!!!! Wind blowing....as seems to be usual, it's more there than here.
LOL, Thelma----add a dishwasher to the wish list!!! I'm sure Buddy WOULD do them for you....with his tongue! And then you'd have more work---you KNOW how slimy dog slobber is!!
Margy I have become much less OCD about the bed since reading that leaving it "open" is GOOD because the air lets the dead skin mites DIE!
One of my teacher friends is regularly communicating with her students on FB. She has almost 1,000 friends. It would be pretty hard--and stupid--for her to be doing anything inappropriate with an audience that large.
But that is something I do not have to worry about now, anyway.
Thanks for the Live Feed alert, Lynn....way to keep you eyes on things
Ok, I won't make the bed - yet !
How're you doin' Handsome Jim ?
do you remember a few years ago when Wanda was doing the Poop Shoot Facial Make-overs ?? When someone hit the hundred marks on blog posts ??
Yours was of a young lad with a water bottle, was one of my all-time favorites !
Shirley
are you beginning to feel the Joy and Blessings of Retirement ???
I really am getting things done, but some of them are here at the computer on other programs...
Mornin, Magpie, hope you are 100% today.
I'm sorry I'm not getting a memory cue about the kid with the water bottle..
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
MARGY, you've been on a roll today--make that a rock n' roll, cause' you Rock ! WashFM, Rod Stewart and our Magpie, quite the combo !
LINDA, we all have you and yours on our minds, in our hearts and at the forefront of our prayers.♥♥♥
Well Hello Ohio ☼ Sunshine Kay !
Jim,
Wanda would take a cute picture that in some way represented us or our avatars, or just a cute picture!
When you got the Poop Shoot Facial make-over that time, Wanda redesigned you as a young lad in shorts and tee, looking outward, with a water bottle in your hand...
It was adorable! They are way back in the history of things no longer available on her blog, but it is always in my memory, and you were one of the first to get a make-over ☺
In fact, you might not have ever seen it, perhaps ?? She used to put them on Wanda's Wishes I think.
LYNN, hurray for Judge Strickland ! O.J. was eventually "hoisted on his own petard" and is where he should have been all these years. May Ms. Anthony enjoy the same fate !
G☺☺D M☼rning JIM ! Don't want to be cruel, but I'm always glad when someone else has trouble remembering something ! ;O)
It's almost noon I had better say good Morning fast ( :
Sounds like Margy is having a good time with the radio station.
I need to read comments where I left off last night.
bbiaw
Keep on Bee-Bopping Margy!!
Kay, they check tires, brakes, bulbs, and all kinds of things. I think I am still outside the area where they check emissions. That happens in the Washington, DC, area.
G☺☺D M☼rning to you, too, WVgal DANA ! You made it just in time to be counted in the morning crew. :O)
LOL, DanaWV---you made it!! With time to spare.
Kay, you put things very well!!
We all have great things to offer.
And yes, hearts are heavy for Linda. Hope her flight arrangements are happening smoothly. She sure doesn't need the headaches that can come with that.
Hi, Jim! Andy said you all got some rain...hope it was enough to be beneficial. How's the puter behaving?
Oh before going
No Kay, we didn't. We were planning to until the things went wrong on Friday.
LYNNE, I see you could not have taken the Mazda over the weekend since you've only put 80 miles on it. So happy to hear there is a 90 day warranty and hope you'll take it back to the dealer as often as necessary before that 90 days is up. The hassle and the lost work is a shame, however.
cool cam is up yeah
How rude of me THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD STEVE I guess I was excited to see the cam up
LORI, I have declared myself a Canadian for the day and will do nothing but fun things today. Putering, puzzling, reading. I'd have to drench myself in wine were I to decide on sunbathing, so that's out. Hey, we're all Irish on St. Paddy's day so why can't we all be Canadian on their Civic Holiday ?
Oh almost half of the early birds are here! I was so tired this morning I was doing all I could to keep myself entertained.
Oh KAY, I forgot (whack whack) your big first hug of the morning...
((((BIG HUG))))
Then the first thing you must do KAY,is change BEEN to BEAN...that's always the giveaway to me. No offense HODA, this is a fun thing! ♥
LOL
((((BIG HUG)))
Off for my nap! BBL.
Love you all. I hope LINDA checks in soon so we know she's okay...
Wonder if Jack will get results of MRI today?
Hey LORI here is my avatar sort of like yours but mine is melted LOL
Look at this beautiful Hawaiian Hibiscus that just showed up on my Botany pic of the day ! Plumb beautotious !
LOL, LORI, been (bin) to bean ! HODA is a good egg and understands our occasional ribbing about "oot and aboot" or colour n' such, I'm sure !
Lori, I told Steve to tell them we wanted our money back! I didn't go with him because I would likely have lost my cool!
I think JACK's MRI appt. is this afternoon as LOLLY said he'd have the morning to get some questions answered. Given the time difference it will be a while before we'll hear how he did. I've never had an MRI, are the results known immediately ?
OK, time for a COOOOOOOL avatar!
LORI, I deserve the big Whack ! Forgot to say thanks for the heartwarming hug ! I♥U, kiddo !
Kay, the MRI techs/radiologists can probably tell immediately what the problem is, but they have to report to the DR and are not allowed to tell the patient anything. Hopefully that'll all get done quickly!
Yes Lori, thanks for MY hug, too!
LYNNE, love the "cool" avatar ! Am enjoying all the "melting in the heat" avatars, too, JUDY. Especially liked the one with the ice cream truck !
well I can see we have the old cam back stopped at 14:44 I wonder why it stops now and there for awhile I didn't it went on and on like the energizer bunny LOL OK I need to go back to work Lots of Liquor price changes to do when I get back HAGD BBL
Oops I changed the ice cream truck to the earth I love the roses the best of all the melting ones I found and you thought I left for work HA now I am--- Later
Guess it's time for me to move on to more of my Civic Holiday activities. BBL
Okay Lolly...
Here are some painless silent Cyber Hugs for Jack and You
((((((((( HUGS ♥ ♥ )))))))))
God Bless you both, the technicians...and the equipment
Lynne
maybe Steve should tell the car salesmen people that his lovely wife has some lovely friends with a whole bunch of Eagle Canes !!!!!
And we can GPS where the dealership is
So sorry this turned out the way it did !!!
WOOF, DOUBLE WOOF, AND TRIPLE WOOF!
Judy
Love the melting earth...guess that is global warming eh?
and totally love the Cool Avatar Lynne and
the yellow yellow yellow Hawaiian Hibiscus. Kay
Night Night, Morning Glori !

GOOD AFTERNOON
Didn't make it during the am hours - had a visit with my daughter!
The blog is sounding good - full of

Linda my thought are with you and your

((hugs))
LADY KAY This is your WELCOMING COMMITTEE for being an HONORARY CANADIAN CITIZEN FOR THE DAY.
We Appreciate your HumoUr and that of LADY LORI.
REMEMBER ALL DO NOTHING TODAY...or at least as little as is possible, it is a CIVIC HOLIDAY after all...
GOOD MORNING/GOOD AFTERNOON everyone.
Hot here today...with a breeze though thank God. The landlord has spent the morning watering the grass. It has to be 80 degrees.
I have had my tea and now thinking of having a coffee!!! I am taking "the do nothing for the day" a bit too seriously...LOL
I can understand if you work for someone and they say you have
to come to work....then after work. Then HAVE SOME FUN AND REST!!!
Lori I bet it felt so good to your Mother for her to have her hair washed. So glad you good
be there again for her.
I think
that is really NEAT in operation since 2008!!
We are just finding out about it because you took that wonderful young James that me and Ed would meet at Martin's. Thanks for posting.
Lynne2 Oh that sounds so beautiful.
Watching the sky and it being so clear that you was even able to see 4 shooters. That must have been a thrill.
People just are awlful sometimes ...leaving a 1 yr. old out of sight for even a second grrr
and a bee bee gun/rifle shooting June in the eye.
Thank God they found her and are taking care of her but so sad she will lose that eye. Then
children being left in a car. So glad people began breaking the windows. There are no good reason's for any of this. People know better...take the kids inside with you!!! They should get a punishment and I'm sorry civic
is NOT enough. I know they are probably upset about their loss of having them taken away and put into foster care. I'm sure somehow they will eventually get them back.
DanaMoI pray too those labs come back with good results.
Jack Is in my prayers as I laid my head down last night I thought. Maybe all his worry is not
about having the MRI done. He is worried about what will the results be. Prayers for good results just something mild that can easily be taken care of.
DiannGood to see you in. Oh my having to catch kittins...hoping things go well at the vets.
Well contragulations in the Ohio Valley for the Osprey nest and the chick they now have. Good job
guys!!! Thanks for posting Hedgie.
Kay that is a beautiful Hibiscus. I just love my Hibiscus plant. You all seen it in the pictures
of Me Leaving for Colorado. I like things you don't have to prune. The flowers just drop off
when dead and new life and beauty come on again. Same way with the Rose of Sharon trees. Might have to cut them back so they don't get too tall later.
Hedgie I pray that soon the house will be finished. So all that mess will be over and you can rest from
within yourself.
I have had my cereal, my juice and my coffee but for some reason I am tired. Going to go lay down awhile.
Rare gull at Coney Island
Hey our live feed is back up!
Wonder when they are going to fix the sound?????????
Lolly, maybe you should give the wine to Jack.
Collective Howdy to Jo, Hoda, Paula, DanaWV
Thanks, Dana, I see your nice comments on my blog spots....
I enjoy sharing....
☺
Couldn't take the day off today after so many in a row last week, finally ready to go out and mail things I have been working on...and put a BIG dent in the bank account. I prefer to Dent the Pillows !!
Love you folks, have a good day,
please? Thanks !
xoxox ♥
Oh Shirley, you know there is a constant HOWDY spot on here for you ☺
which of your lovely daughters, Jo...
and hello again Lynn...
you are a busy reading and linking bee today ☺
BBL
OMG----a friend of Christie and Shannon posted this on FB....I hadn't heard a word and Flight Tracker didn't show it at all.....
Cancun flight delayed by emergency stop in Cuba
And kids wonder why moms worry?????? Well....at least I can say my kid has been to Cuba....just hope they got out!
I have FINALLY posted some misc. pics on my blog....more to come later.
Holey Moley Lynn...will be waiting for the "rest of the story"
breathe, breathe, breathe...
okay will check other links later including Lynne's
and wanted to repeat:
I appreciate ALL the nice comments and things that you fine pals say about my pictures....
THANK YOU !
Outside world, here I come, ready or not !
xoxo ♥
HODA, what an honor is it to be named "HONORARY CANADIAN CITIZEN FOR THE DAY". There are those who would say it should be ORNERY CITIZEN OF THE DAY" !
Glad you're taking it easy on ☺ur holiday, too ! Though I'm afraid all that coffee n' tea will have you on the go !
WV DANA, which of your blogs contains your CA trip pics and the hibiscus ? If only on FB I can't view them.
LYNNE, your pics are positively stunning ! The Terra Alta storm was quite dramtic, eh ? (Remember, I'm Canadian today, eh?)
LYNN keep us posted...do they have cell phones with them? Would you be able to phone them? I agree with MARGY BREATHE BREATHE BREATHE
LOL, so the excuse if you are ripped at the beach and you spill wine all over yourself, is "it's OK, it's my new suntan lotion" ☺
The "guards" are designed to keep the bees and wasps from being able to reach the nectar which discourages them from hanging around, but the hummers can get there little beaks and tongues in to feed!
there are pop up storms beginning to build now along a line from Hagerstown southwest to northeast. Nothing major so far....
Okay, I am truly sick sick sick of hot weather!
Mazda was adjusted, need parts, will have to take back AGAIN on Wednesday. Saturn will be almost a grand to fix. God help us.....
I used Lynne2's snow!
LOVE the snowman Judie! We'll think COOL thoughts together!
BBL
Remember why I put the smile sun on as my avatar....because you were so tired of the snow! Love all the snow avatars! But, Judie, you can not complain about the heat. We are on our 31st day in a row over 100. 103.5 on my thermometer right now. And, no end in sight...going UP the rest of the week. Groan..........!!
Lynn, so frustrating about the kids in Cuba. Told Jack and he had read about it on the news. Please keep us updated!
Kay, having a chuckle over you being Canadian today. You even have the accent down, right?
House is looking nice----they are making good headway......
Yea, Lynn, glad the house is progressing!
Lynne, forgot to mention, I loved looking at your pictures. Especially liked the pictures of the Luna moth. Cool!
Leaving in little over a half hour for the hospital.
Paula, read your comment to Jack concerning the new sun lotion. LOL
Amen to C and S basking on the beach. GEESH. What an experience!
And I'm glad you didn't ruin your light, or yourself, or fry Bill....LOL!
I just finally posted Freakshow's antics on my blog now....I'm not getting much done around here today, like dusting and vacuuming!
Lynne, I'm with Judie.....get your money back for the Mazda! Sounds like a lemon...... :(
I love that sunny Hibiscus, too, Kay! I will always remember the lovely red ones we had when I was growing up. Hummers loved them!
Lynn, I don't know much about cell phone plans, but when Susan was in Ecuador, I talked her on Skype.
Rent a goat??? ROFLMAOAO!!!!!!!!!
we can't take the car back, I don't think. And "lemon" law in MD doesn't cover used cars. If we feel the dealer has misrepresented the car, we can contact a lawyer and could have a case under the Unfair Trade Practice Act. But that means hiring a lawyer.....
Lynne, I do think I have enough critters around here without renting a goat.
THere is always a risk to buying a used car.
aw, that's too BAAAAAAAAAAD Shirley.....
oh by the way Dana WV, yes, it was very awesome watching the sky Saturday night! I was looking through the binos, too.
FYI...Persiedes Meteor Shower to peak on the 13/14 of this month. Usually a good one, but full moon this year.
From earthsky-
the Perseids rise gradually to a peak throughout August.
Oh my gosh, Lynne, that Freakshow is some cat. I had to call Hunter over to see the pictures.
Rescued Eagle in OhioIt does not look like this eagle has much space.
Lynne, so sorry about the car problems. Not fun!
Took the trailer to get the AC fixed...$800 or there bouts! Have to replace the whole unit. Grrrr!
See ya later, we are ready to leave.
Lynne2, so sorry about the clunker car!
Be sure to splash them with wine before they get in the sun to do the work!☺
Ok what is going on in the blog Is it now snowing Brrrr!!! LOL
POURING here now!
LOL I do believe we have a new word for our dictionary. Druising! Thanks, Loweeda! I druise easily!☺
we are thinking COOOOOOOOL thoughts Judy!
Whew, I just made it in the house! Was cleaning birdbath, trimming butterfly bush...hear thunder.
OK calling Nurse Lynn, calling Nurse Lynn....ice for an ankle sprain and prop it up???
Shirley, that lady must have read this article I saw just today.
They are now using goats in MD to get rid of weeds....
Eco Goats
oh Paula, what did you do?
Going to pick up the car....BBL
Expensive goats. Yikes!
YES, PAULA!!!!! REST,ICE, COMPRESSION and ELEVATION----RICE!!! Ace wrap for the compression, but include the heel in the wrapping: start at the toes and try to go up to the knee!
WHAAT did you do?????
What happened, Paula?
Shirley anyone around you have a goat borrow it.
Lynn-Hedgie let us know when you hear something ok!!!!
Paula we know you sprained your ankle because you commented that. How did you do this??? Hope it feels better soon.((((HUGS))))
Shirley, there's nothing on that link except the title!
Severe storm in Leesburg/Ashburn, VA (where Skins camp is). Lynne, hope your area is not getting pummeled badly.
Got an email from Linda...they are heading to FL. She made it sound like they are driving...:( Funeral will be Thurs. Will give link to obit as soon as it's up.
Back later
PAULA, we're pleading for an answer about the sprain. I hope it wasn't the result of splashing wine on for sun protection, gone awry !
Thundering here......little wind....MTBR!
FL newspaper says that obit will be published tomorrow.
Thanks, Lynn...got my foot caught on my desk drawer that I had pulled out...and twisted it trying not to fall...wasn't paying attention. Will go home and RICE it...thanks! It's more on the top and side of the foot below the ankle...
Shirley...found another link to the article and video on FB:
Eagle rescued
OUCH Paula! RICE RICE RICE!
Paula---same treatment, whether foot or ankle! OUCH! Please be careful!!!
Hoda, Linda lives in PA.
All that bad weather and temp has only dropped to 88! And, of course, now humidity is 100%---more if possible, LOL!
What a mess I have outside now....limbs, sticks, clumps of leaves.....looks like a disaster zone.
Satellite is all messed up, too.....
Getting in just under to 200 count.
I had threats of a storm with thundering
skies but nothing became of it. I guess
it stayed in WV.
Paula - no running with Nick this evening. Hope it feels better fast.
Here's some insanity for you.
Child saves baby bird from being eaten by pet
Shirley----that's in your fair city!!
Whomever has FB - Linda's brother has a
page and there are appearing some very
beautiful tributes to him. It is sad
that there are the Happy Birthday
comments and they quickly stop and the
condolences and remembrances appear. He was truly a good man - Bill Cochran..♥
Yikes, Lynn, that is quite a story.
I had not heard that before.
Lynn - the article - sure sends the
wrong message out to our kids!
Bill just called to make sure all well here....he is at his dsaughter's near Jo's granddaughter's house.....a tree came down on her roof and burst out her skylight. Glass just missed hitting the kids. He's trying to cover the hole.
